However, Iran calls the American actions piracy and says the US is effectively imposing a naval blockade against the Islamic Republic. Iranian officials have repeatedly vowed retaliation if Washington pushes further, but Razi's latest remarks are among the strongest yet. He also accused the US of provoking war while claiming Iran had shown restraint until now. Iranian state media and IRGC linked outlets are presenting the message as a direct warning to US aircraft carriers and naval forces operating near Iranian waters. Thrron believes it can exploit the geography of the region, particularly the narrow straight of Hormuz using anti-ship missiles, drones, naval mines, and fast attack boats designed for asymmetrical warfare. For decades, Iran has threatened to disrupt shipping in the Strait of Hormuz during crisis.
