President Trump's unprecedented corruption

[00:00:00]Well, we were supposed to be voting today, but the Republican majority had to adjourn Congress because Trump's corruption got to be too much even for them. So, the Trump administration, the president, uh, created this $1.776 billion slush fund he could use to pay off his friends, allies, people who committed crimes on his behalf with no oversight. Uh and as part of this deal that he made with his acting attorney general who was also his former criminal defense attorney, uh it provides immunity for him, his family, his friends, and unspecified associates uh from ever being audited by the IRS among other things. So basically, he pardoned himself in advance um as well as his sons and allies from ever having to be audited by the IRS, which essentially means they will never have to pay taxes again or be investigated for past uh tax crimes. Uh th this is unprecedented corruption uh that even was too much for the Republican majority in the Senate and the House. So they adjourned Congress until June. um while they figure out what to do about it because they couldn't vote for it and they're too they're still too afraid to publicly say we break with the president. Uh we've got to keep putting pressure on this. This cannot stand. We cannot allow this uh use this abuse of taxpayer money. Um I'm going to keep fighting against it and I know my colleagues are too.
