[00:03:23]And this, we'll pull these off. So, folks, what this is, if you hadn't figured it out already, this is our new incubator.

[00:03:33]And I talked about this before, but this incubator has the ability to incubate up to 300 eggs.

[00:03:41]So, what we'd like to do if we can get enough eggs is we'll incubate them and then, you know, we can have it would be nice to have 300 in one.

[00:03:49]>> We already buy in the highway uh um one one tray and half. We will try it if uh it will be uh successful to >> Yeah, I think we're they're supposed they're duck eggs and supposedly they're fertilized. We'll see what happens.

[00:04:24]Uh-oh. Top tray. Let's just do it the easy way. Let's take it apart.

[00:04:30]>> Now, full disclosure, folks. I've already had this apart at the house in Elo in town. We're out of Criselle's.

[00:04:39]>> Yeah, it's >> But we're going to set this up because we just got eggs and Criselle just said a tray and a half. So, we got 48 eggs and supposedly they're duck eggs. So, we figure if they don't work, we'll have ballout.

[00:05:02]>> Not going to happen. [laughter] Not going to happen. So, these are reservoirs. We might have to get a table in here. Set this up on the table. These go into here.

[00:05:16]Okay. And they have uh water bottles that go on with them. We'll fill them up. Fill up the water bottles and we'll we'll put them on here.

[00:05:28]>> You want everything. Now anybody I didn't do any YouTube or anything when I was in Thailand you would see that I did woman is thirsty.

[00:05:48]>> You got to love YouTube. And uh although even though YouTube doesn't love me, it's okay. And um All right. So now what we do here, let's get the water bottles out. That's these.

[00:06:07]>> You see new water bottles. Anybody does an incubator, you know that that's we have to have a certain humidity level for the eggs that you're hatching. So that's what these water bottles are to help maintain the humidity. A little mister.

[00:06:22]Little bottle for mist. Now, each one of these on this these use rollers to turn the eggs. And so, you got a gear on one end and it's a pin on the other end. Okay? And however you want to set it up, depending on how many what size your eggs or whatever. Um, now, so the duck eggs are a decent size, not real small. If it was quail, we'd want these these rolls to be like this.

[00:06:50]But we're not doing quail eggs. We're doing duck eggs. So, we're just going to space them like this. And that's not too big. It'll be fine.

[00:06:59]And so, we just I keep putting them in the wrong way.

[00:07:03]Do that.

[00:07:07]Now, honestly, what we need to do, we should be doing one moment. Uh, let's [clears throat] put this over here. We only really need We only need one of these. So, we'll we'll be taking the top off of here.

[00:07:23]We'll set this one up and then move the controller over here. And uh because we're only doing one. All right. Doing it backwards again.

[00:07:34]And it's just a it's a very simple design. These things, they come off.

[00:07:39]And actually, when I got this first time I unboxed it, I thought I was missing some. And I was not very happy about that. But I found them in the bottom of the box from Lazada. So everything worked out.

[00:07:53]And let's see if this works out even the even amount of rollers.

[00:08:04]>> So I would say this this would work for And there's the instruction manual.

[00:08:10]This is for if you want to run it off of a battery, off of DC power, cuz this is both DC or AC current. All right. And here's the instructions, which I didn't really read cuz I've used these before.

[00:08:24]But um and here's the wires that get hooked up. And this what some glue coming out. These wires are for um to hook into the control unit. And that controls uh how often how many times these the rollers will roll to turn the eggs. You need that. Then the last what three days, last 3 days or so of the before they hatch, you take them off the rollers and you just lay them.

[00:08:54]>> You lay them in the bottom here. You just lay them in the tray. And of course there's water down in the underneath the tray. But you lay them the eggs lay them on their side here and they won't be rolled anymore and moved. and then they'll hatch. And I did a lot of quail uh when I was in Thailand. But what we're going to try here are duck eggs.

[00:09:15]All right. So, the way this works is you take the control unit and here's the wire underneath it.

[00:09:24]All right. And the wire down here after you get your your moisture, everything, your water in there, and you'll just connect this onto here.

[00:09:33]Not going to say it's easy, but >> connect this onto here >> like that. Okay, that's connected.

[00:09:42]And this fits down on there. Now, it comes off real easy. And all the neat thing about this unit, too, after a few days of the eggs hatching or what is it?

[00:09:52]One week, however many days, I can't remember. One week. Here, show this gazelle down here. This is actually a light so you can candle the eggs. You put the eggs on there and see if they're developing. That's kind of a cool feature. My incubator in Thailand didn't have that, but this one does. So, here's the the D the AC connector, not DC, the AC connector, and that plugs in right here.

[00:10:16]>> Okay. Now, if we were doing this with just direct with current DC, then this this cord would go in here. Okay. If we wanted to hook it to a car battery, whatever, we're not doing that. So, we'll keep that. But we'll keep it in case we ever need it. Like the power went out for a long period of time and we needed to do that.

[00:10:37]However, we're doing this. So, we need a Well, let's just test it. We'll put a plug in over here. See if it works.

[00:10:44]Maybe it won't. Ah, look at that.

[00:10:46]>> Yeah.

[00:10:49]>> So, it works.

[00:10:53]>> Now, we'll have to get into the instructions here and make sure we set everything up correctly. This is just what it defaulted to. Okay. And cuz we need to put water in there and everything in there to do this the right way. So I hear a little bit of a hum.

[00:11:09]So it's not too loud, but it does have some noise to it. And that's fans and stuff going. So if we pull this all, we got to be careful because the here there's four fans. Show them if you >> Yeah.

[00:11:27]>> Okay. and they're all blowing. And that event, based on what we program here, that'll be warm air. And then with the water in there, it'll be warm, moist air. And that's what's going to help the eggs the eggs incubate and eventually eventually hatch.

[00:11:43]So, there you have it, folks. The uh Doug and Criselle out here at the farm.

[00:11:50]And uh well, here we'll turn it around and do There's Doug or the colonel. And there's Priselle >> and sweating too hard.

But anyway, we're out here at the farm checking out the new incubator and we're waiting on Ian and Ren Ren to come back to with the eggs that we've got and [music] set this thing up and get some eggs in there. And maybe we'll have some baby ducklings pretty soon. I laugh when I say ducklings because I think of I think of Chuck Bellis. He's always saying with his vanilla plants, I got cutlings. So, so he has cutlings. We have ducklings.

[00:12:31]Cutlings is that's a madeup Wyoming word from Bellis. But it always makes me laugh whenever I hear him say that. And Chuck, if you watch this, dude, I'm not I'm just busting on you a little bit, man, cuz you're my brother. All right, y'all. Take care. God bless.

[00:13:26]So folks, there we have it. The incubator is all set up and we put duck eggs in there and it has settings modes that you can put in with the for the different types of birds. There's duck, goose, dove, what's that? Feeasants, chickens. So, and it also has a setting it's on in the middle, which is a custom setting. I don't know if you can see that, [music] but anyway, so we have it on the custom setting. That way, we could adjust it to the different temperatures that we wanted. And I didn't like the duck settings uh that were presetting. I thought it was too hot. Uh my research says 37.5, which is what we set the temperature at here. Now, it's going to fluctuate and whatnot. Um and 55% humidity. The preset mode was higher than that. 60% humidity and 38 point something. I didn't care for that. But just a little peek inside and we shouldn't open this up. But we're just starting on this so I'm not that worried about it. But yeah, and these eggs are dirty, too. We didn't want to wash them. But there we go. Okay. And four of them or three of them are eggs from the ducks that we have here at the farm already. We saw where one was making a nest and it get brooding. We looked in the at the corner of the house there. There's three eggs.

[00:14:50]I think we filmed that or Cressel filmed it. Criselle filmed that. And uh so anyway, we're off and running right now.

[00:14:58]I wanted to do chickens. Yeah, I wanted to do ducks also. Uh the ducks take a little longer than the chickens, but there you have it, folks. We're off and running with the incubator. Now, this incubator has two more trays and it can hold up to 300 eggs, but right now we have what 51 eggs in there. So, in order to I'm thinking if duck eggs in order to get 300 in both trays, we really have to cram that thing full in order to get that many in there. And I set it up so that none of them were rubbing together.

[00:15:33]You can see I made sure there was space in good enough space in between them.

[00:15:37]And we we split rows in there. So, we had we didn't fill up every row in that one. But anyway, I'm happy about that. I wasn't sure if we're going to get that started or not, but the guy on the side of he swears there are fertilized eggs. We shall see cuz you never know. Somebody tells you Whoops. Somebody tells you something, you don't know if it's legit or not. But in about 28 days, we'll know, won't we?
