Eli Lilly just announced phase three clinical trial results for an investigational medication called Retatrutide. A phase three trial is one of the final large studies that need to be reviewed by the FDA for approval. It usually involves thousands of participants and it tests both safety and effectiveness. In this trial, people taking the highest dose lost an average of 70 lb over 80 weeks.
