DUST problem in Chancery Lane over many years is creating health issues - Environmental, Barbados

[00:00:00]Hi, this is Sherry Veronica and this blog is coming to you from the residence of Chancery Lane and it's an ongoing problem and they're saying it has been ongoing for many years and it's getting to the point where it is affecting their health. Now, people will say, well, if you get dust in your eyes, um you can wash it out, you know, within, you know, 1 to 2 hours, you know, you're back or you know, within sometimes it can last for like 2 days, but the the eye itself would try to eject it and, you know, you'll be okay after a while. But if it is every day that you're living in this situation where the dust is constant, think about it.

[00:00:52]If you walk through an area where there's dust and you can have irritation for up to 2 days, but you're moving out, you've moved away from that dusty area, okay? And you can have irritation in your eyes for for a couple hours to 2 days, then put yourself in that area 24/7.

[00:01:18]It can cause blind- blindness. It can cause your if if you have um that that that situation with your asthma, if you have asthma, it can cause some severe problems with you, health problems. And then, if you don't have asthma and you're you're not like sick [snorts] per se, it can cause you to get sick.

[00:01:46]It can create illnesses in you if you are indebted, if you are bombarded day in and day out with something that is not pleasant, something that is not natural, something that could be harmful, and that is what they are experiencing. Now, at this point, years of going through this, years.

[00:02:09]And it's getting to the point where their health is getting affected by all the dust. Did I say it was dust I was talking about?

[00:02:18]It's dust. It's a dusty situation going on. So, if there has been issues with a destruction of household items, you Do you know that if Let's say it's a work area, and the workmen do not really clean up when they're done, but if they don't pay attention to cleaning up or covering certain panels like your electrical panels, do you know that your electricity won't work properly? Dust would affect the the alarms in your house. The dust You would You would have things offset in your house, and not think that it's dust.

[00:02:56]It's dust, okay? So, this person is saying that household items, usage of extra utilities, and trying to keep dust at bay, just the money cost, and the replacement because items are being destroyed.

[00:03:13]Items are being destroyed, and then they have to have some things professionally cleaned because you can't do it all.

[00:03:23]I mean, it gets into the system that, you know, around the the places and within the air conditioning or wherever your Where Whatever it is, you need to call professionals, and it's getting Oh, this is getting out of hand.

[00:03:38]Okay? So, this is happening in Chancery Lane, and it's an ongoing dust situation. I don't know. They didn't say exactly where the dust is coming from.

Those are two things you don't want people to eff with, your money and your health. So, the person who sent this to me, if you can please indicate what is causing the dust problem. But, the thing is there is a dust problem and the Minister of Environment, whoever you are, environmental person, you need to take a look at this problem in Chancery Lane and get it fixed. We don't want no long talk.
