RTÉ Weather Forecast | Ireland Braces for Summer Heatwave! ☀️ (May 23, 2026)Added:
22° in the Phoenix Park. We're in a settled spell of weather that's going to stay with us till the middle of the week at least, maybe longer. We may see some showers breaking out through the second half of the week, and it is going to become increasingly sunnier and warmer over the next couple of days. Indeed, very warm or locally hot through the early days of next week. Temperatures widely in the lower mid-20s, maybe a little higher locally. We may even come close to the all-time May maximum temperature record. That's 28.4° Now, we've cloudy conditions at the moment across parts of the west and the north, bringing a few patches of light rain and drizzle because we've a weather front close by. But, that weather front is going to be clearing away tomorrow morning. So, cloud clearing, it is going to become a mostly sunny day and becoming warmer. High pressure, of course, keeping things settled for ourselves, much of central, western, and southwestern Europe. The highest temperatures tomorrow in the east, even warmer still on Monday. The highest temperatures at this stage over parts of Leinster and for Munster.
