Like the the 2010, 2015ish era as far as LA cuz I mean in retrospect, I think a lot of people look at those as some of like the real glory days of LA before co, but like the internet's popping. So you can get you could get lit on the internet without having to go through a label or whatever. So there's a lot of like interesting [ __ ] happening hip-hop wise and everything whereas like now it feels like I don't know it's just like a different energy [ __ ] >> and you were really years early. My [ __ ] was lit. My homies had paint. We was in >> Cover City. We was in Marina del Rey.

[00:00:44]>> Homies was in Ranges. Oh the homies really up my life because they made me feel like this [ __ ] was normal.

[00:00:52]>> And then I was always the youngest out the group. So everybody had bread. So growing up it was just always normal.

[00:00:59]>> Like I had my little I would have like a little rack, little 500, but they would have like 15 racks, 20 racks. They got four or $5,000 condos. And this is you got to think like 15 years ago when rent was was still kind of affordable in LA.

[00:01:14]>> Going to the bridge, going to Melrose, Fairfax, seeing all future and all them. That [ __ ] used to be normal. Uh [ __ ] I I don't know. Like my upbringing was was was kind of different cuz I had [ __ ] my way for for so long it just got normal. So like even when I turned 18, I had a my first apartment was at the Orsini. M.

[00:01:37]>> So, >> I mean, and and you're doing all these things that realistically are the kind of things that could land you in the feds for mad years, but do you feel like the dudes that you were around just made everything seem so chill and casual that you weren't really thinking about the risk?

[00:02:37]Just sleep with my girl, cooking at the house, doing [ __ ] like this, being with my friends. That's that's all the stuff that makes you appreciate all the little things is when you in that bunk and you just laying down and you just like, [ __ ] having to get [ __ ] on commissary and missing things and taking a walk and going to the beach and all the stuff that you don't realize you take for granted. You just you got all the time in the world to just lay there and think.

Now, I appreciate everything, but back then growing up, I didn't I didn't give a [ __ ] >> But is it tough because you know that like you could make some calls and just be fully back in the game if you wanted to take the chance? I just don't never I just don't want to this up because if I know if I it up it's gonna be double the trouble.

[00:03:59]>> We're all just like in the group chat been like, "Dude, I wonder what Ann is doing right now in jail." Like, it's hard to like wrap our head around the fact that he's in there right now.

[00:04:08]>> Troop up. Got to get your mind right, man. So, I tell everybody, jail not scary. It's just boring mentally. It's a mental mental challenge.

[00:04:23]>> In my opinion, as long as you're a man and and you respect everybody and you demand your respect back, you're going to be good. But really, it's just boring. Like, you got to find stuff to occupy your time.

[00:04:33]>> You got to get that routine, read books, watch movies on the tablet, work out. I used to like to cook a lot.

[00:04:41]>> So I always buying [ __ ] from the kitchen, all the veggies, all the cheese, >> and I would just take take my time.

[00:04:49]Probably like spend like two three hours cooking. That's how it would a lot of my time would fly by too.

[00:04:54]>> But you like were you in like a a area the feds that was like Well, cuz yeah, you got caught up for nonviolent [ __ ] So >> I was at a low so it was straight. USPS is cracking. Yeah.

[00:05:04]>> USPS is janky. You got to walk around >> the So when the feds is USP is like a max. That's United States Penitentiary.

[00:05:11]Then they got medium security, low security, and then camp is like B man Kevo. Like all the people were like you could you there's no fence at camps. So you could really run to a hotel. You could have your girl meet you on the little back street, go do that. Boom.

[00:05:28]Yeah. So camps are sweet, but I couldn't I couldn't make it to a camp because I had warrants and holds and [ __ ] But yeah, my [ __ ] was nonviolent. I never I didn't have no prior criminal history, so I didn't have hella points or [ __ ] like that.

[00:05:42]>> Yeah. Like my dad was in the feds for a year when I was 12 and it like when I first showed up and it was like a camp and I I showed up and it was like there's no fence. You >> the east coast.

You can just walk up out of there and uh I was just astounded by the fact that like when I showed up my dad's like working out like right there like he could have jogged the out of there and gone to McDonald's or some [ __ ] which I have heard people talk about like doing crazy missions where they get up >> like level one yards in a pen and [ __ ] >> Yeah. Like the camps is is sweet time like people getting >> people having [ __ ] their way at the camp. Like the camp is easy time but the low it had a fence. We had phones and [ __ ] too though. So it was cool. I was on the phone all the time. But >> like phones you smuggle in there or like the iPads they give you?

[00:06:24]>> I don't know how they got them in there, but we have phones.

[00:06:27]>> So I'll be facetiming my homies on Instagram, watch videos and [ __ ] It was cool.

[00:06:33]>> I had got caught with a phone in there and I had to go to the shoe for like like 30 something days. That [ __ ] sucked.

[00:06:40]>> They don't add time for you for that [ __ ] >> Yeah. I lost all my good I lost all my good time in there.

[00:06:45]>> Damn. So you can't tell us how you were getting them in there? I wasn't getting them in there. I don't know how they got it in there, but they was in there. And as long as you got bread and [ __ ] like that, you straight.

[00:06:59]>> Yeah, I did for 2022 to the end of uh 25 and then I just got out the halfway house last month.

[00:07:34]You can have normal clothes but like you're still you can't leave when you want, >> right?

[00:07:39]>> So it it's cool. It's like you halfway out, halfway not. Is it weird cuz you're in there with all these other random ass dudes who just got out of prison, so it's probably people that you don't get along with and or is that a factor?

[00:07:50]>> I was in Vegas, so it was cool.

[00:07:51]>> Oh, okay.

[00:07:52]>> But I mean, no, I don't be worried about that [ __ ] >> But I've known some people over the years who are in the halfway house who are like real, you know, gangster ass rapper type dudes who are like famous and they got beef and they're in the halfway house. And I'm talking to them and realizing like they don't want anyone to know that they're there because they got like no way to protect themselves. And this is not security high security like a >> somebody ran up on you in the half house you hit. But that's why you know you just got to got to handle your [ __ ] You got to be a man if you want to talk big dog [ __ ] You got to back up big dog [ __ ] >> But you you didn't like run into any situations in there.

[00:08:32]>> I kind of got squabbles. I got fades with that [ __ ] That's >> at the halfway house.

[00:08:35]>> Well, that [ __ ] be normal. like [ __ ] fight anywhere.

[00:08:38]>> All that shit's not, you feel me? You going to have some people that be extra out, make it seem, but you know, you just go to the bathroom, handle your [ __ ] and that's it. It's just county's the same. Wayside, all that.

[00:08:49]>> Long long as you you you're not a [ __ ] and you just, you know, win, lose or draw, you handle your [ __ ] you going to be good. They respect you for the homies going to back you up and that's going to be that's what it is what it is type [ __ ] This is what you signed up for.
