The Democratic Party was historically responsible for implementing Jim Crow laws, poll taxes, literacy tests, and the Ku Klux Klan in the South, while the Republican Party, founded to oppose slavery under Abraham Lincoln, was associated with the Civil War and the passage of the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments that prohibited racial discrimination; this historical context challenges claims that African-Americans can only be elected through gerrymandered districts, as evidenced by African-American Republicans elected in majority-white districts across multiple states.

Ted Cruz Reads The Democrat Record… Then Mazie Hirono FREEZESAdded:
What party wrote the Jim Crow laws in the South?
>> The Democrats.
>> Um, and and so on this side of the aisle were members of the Republican party.
Who was the first Republican president?
>> Uh, Abraham Lincoln.
>> Uh, the Republican party was literally founded >> to oppose slavery. We came into existence because slavery was a grotesque evil. And it was President Lincoln, the first Republican president who signed the Emancipation Pro uh proclamation, who won the Civil War, and that resulted in the freeing of the slaves and the passage of the 13th, 14th, and 15th amendments.
>> Ted Cruz completely changed the tone of this entire hearing the second he started bringing up the Democrats own history.
>> Thank you, Mr. Chairman. Just a moment ago, our colleague, Senator Herono, said there's a lot more to say, and and indeed, she's right. Uh and in fact I I want to go back to her comments. She began by saying we have a long history of racial discrimination in this country. That's undoubtedly correct. And then she said uh quote, "We had pole taxes. We had literacy tests. We even had tests of how many jelly beans are in a jar." Mr. Chamberlain, when when Senator Herono says we had pole taxes, >> I want to ask you who we is and in particular, what party was it that implemented pole taxes in the South?
>> Well played.
>> I don't want to necessarily speak in every single case, but I'm pretty confident it was mostly the Democrats, >> right?
>> Uh, and what party was it that put literacy tests in in place in the South?
>> Same answer, mostly the Democrats.
>> And what party was it that had tests like how many jelly beans are in a bottle?
>> The Democrats. Uh, tell me what party were the founders of the Klux Clan from?
>> I'm pretty sure that was the Democrats.
>> Uh, indeed. In fact, Nathan Bedford Forest, the founder of the clan, was a delegate to the 1860 Democrat National Convention. Uh, what party wrote the Jim Crow laws in the South?
>> The Democrats.
>> Um, and and so on this side of the aisle were members of the Republican party.
Who was the first Republican president?
>> Uh, Abraham Lincoln. Uh the Republican party was literally founded >> to oppose slavery. We came into existence because slavery was a grotesque evil. And it was President Lincoln, the first Republican president who signed the Emancipation Pro uh proclamation who won the Civil War and that resulted in the freeing of the slaves and the passage of the 13th, 14th, and 15th amendments.
By the way, fast forward to the civil rights era.
Bull Connor, one of the most noxiously racist politicians. What party was he from? He >> He was a Democrat.
>> The Democrats, for the entire history of their party, have been a party based on racial discrimination.
They affirmatively embrace it. They support it.
Let me ask you, Mr. Grime is discrimination is discriminating based on race consistent with the United States Constitution?
>> No.
>> Uh, what does the 14th Amendment say about discrimination based on race?
>> It's prohibited.
>> What does the 15th amendment say about discriminating based on race and in particular drawing congressional lines and explicitly discriminating based on race?
>> It's prohibited.
Now, the Democrats are fond of telling this story that is, and I wish I could find a kinder way to say it, a flatout lie, that without discriminating based on race, that no African-Americans will be elected and no Hispanics will be elected. Indeed, there was one fellow online who was a vocal left-wing spokesperson who tweeted out, "If I'm advising anybody to run for president, they sure as hell better have a solution to how you make sure that it's not an another hundred years before another black person can represent South Carolina." So, that that's a typical Democrat statement that we cannot elect a black person in South Carolina without discriminating based on race. Uh, I want to ask you, Mr. Chamberlain, who is the junior senator from South Carolina right now?
>> That would be Tim Scott.
>> And all right, I'll tell you what I said online. I said, "Hey, Grock, who is Tim Scott and why do Democrats think he isn't black?"
>> Oh, I can tell you that.
>> And by the way, was Tim Scott elected because of a gerrymandered district drawn only to elect an African-American?
>> No, he won statewide.
>> He won statewide. Uh, by the way, the Democrat position is you can only elect African-Americans with a gerrymandered district. I will point out Burgess Owens, an African-American, is elected the majority white district in the state of Utah. He's a Republican.
Byron Donald's, another African-American, is elected the majority white district in Florida. He is a Republican. John James, another African-American, has elected the majority white district in Michigan. He is a Republican. And my own congressman, Wesley Hunt, who represents me in the House of Representatives, he is elected in a majority white district. He is a Republican. And yet in the Democrats world, >> you're not black if you're not a liberal Democrat.
>> There is arrogance to African-American voters.
>> By the way, they also have that same arrogance to Hispanic voters. They say you're not Hispanic if you're not a liberal Democrat. Well, I'll tell you, I am proud to be the first Hispanic ever elected to represent the state of Texas uh in the United States Senate. And Mr. Chamberlain, in my election in Texas, was I elected in the gerrymandered district that could only elect an Hispanic?
>> No, you were elected statewide.
>> Discrimination based on race is wrong.
Final question. The Democrats are now clutching their pearls that seats drawn to elect liberal Democrats in the South are going to go away. You may get black Republicans instead. Indeed, in Tennessee, they're freaking out that a liberal white guy who's a Democrat is likely going to lose his seat to an African-American woman who's a Republican. And they say that's horrible racial oppression.
>> That's ridiculous.
>> My final question is this. If you look nationwide, Which party has egregiously abused gerrymandering for decades? Both parties are guilty of it. But which who who has been the worst offender? And in particular, take New England. Take Massachusetts. Take Connecticut. Take Rhode Island. Take Maine. Take Vermont.
Take New Hampshire. How many Republicans are elected from all of New England in the House of Representatives?
>> I think the answer to that is zero.
>> Zero. They've drawn every district in a naked gerrymander. And yet they're very upset that their illegal pursuit of power has now been stopped by the Supreme Court that is enforcing the Constitution and prohibiting the racial gerrymandering and discrimination their party is built on.
>> I'm trying to look for a fault here, right? I mean, many people just do not know like legitimately historically that the Democrat party were were definitely the ones kind of in power at the time that were saying, "Hey, listen. And if you have dark skin, kind of by default, you are less than anyone else and you're basically to be used as cattle, right? I mean, that's the reality of the scenario. And now we can fast forward to 2026 and we can basically almost immediately see that they're technically no longer doing these things, right? But yet everything still is racialized kind of by default here. So all of these black Republicans that have made it to where they are have made it there due to their legitimate merit here. like be fully aware here rather than being given some type of like ridiculous leg up because you perceive everything through a racialized lens here, right? Like the Democrat party is currently kind of massively guilty of doing here. The Republicans are basing it off of merit here. And that's what I see when I look around when I start seeing like all these random like black Republicans specifically. Uh they're not coming up because they're black. It could also be like a double-edged type of thing here.
uh there are not many black people in the Republican party. So, let's kind of push right the the the random black Republican to the the forefront to potentially bring in more black people.
But the the the issue with that overall theory is is that black Americans hate black people in America that are not extremely like liberal, progressive, feministoriented, if that makes any sense. Right? I mean, they don't like those people specifically. But it's always been like a super counterproductive type of argument when it comes down to why more black people are not involved in the right. If you pull back the veil, let's say, of like a political conversation and you just speak to the average commonypical black American in America, uh, regardless of whatever like economic status they may be at here, uh, none of them care about any of the things that the left pushes generally like large scale. They don't care about most of it.
Go to any urban city center. All right?
go to any urban city center um that has not been gentrified specifically and start talking about the pronouns. Have a conversation with that. You'll see immediately how much that's not a that's not even a conversation. Like if you want to offend, right? Like if you want to bother the person that you are about to interview, try to they them, bro. Do that. Have fun with that, my guys.
Right? That's not a thing. All right?
But for some reason, the right is painted as racist, right? And so becau and so because the right is painted as racist, black Americans have no interest in partaking in a party that is considered racist and considered hateful towards them, even though it's now been proved that the left is basically manufacturing racist events to say, "Hey, look, you see how racist they are?" If that makes any sense here, guys. Like, so now we have that information that came out what? yesterday. Guys, come on, bro. Do you understand how good America would be if we can just get past the absolute irrelevant nonsense? Guys, listen. There are some absolutely hateful people in the United States of America. Fact here.
Is it the majority of people? No. Right.
And to be honest, the people that are absolutely massively hateful are are are for the most part pariahs, guys. Right?
Those are the those are paras. Ignore those people, bro. All right. Move on.
The majority of America does not care at all about the color of your skin, right?
They don't um they care about how you how you act when you walk into a room.
All right? Like, so if you are embodying the exact unamerican, anti-American, I don't know, bro, mentality and and and you you're moving in a way that is not really conducive to kind of pushing America forward in any meaningful manner, then yeah, bro, I don't want to be around you neither, bro. Understand this here. All right? It's my opinion.
I'm just some random guy on the internet though, guys. Right. Take it take it with a grain of salt, my guys. Um, but either way, if you guys are new here, please like and subscribe. In the meantime, um, I'll go and catch you guys later.
