What happened next was methodical, systematic, industrial. Families were torn apart at gunpoint. Mothers watched their sons loaded onto buses. Husbands were separated from wives with a simple promise, "You'll see them soon." It was a lie. For 3 days, Dutch soldiers heard constant [music] gunshots echoing from the nearby woods. They knew what was happening. They could do nothing to stop it. Mass graves were dug, then the bodies were moved, then moved again. A massive shell game to hide the evidence.
