And President Trump announcing he's now extending the ceasefire with Iran at Pakistan's request. So the president said in a truth social post that he's waiting for Iran's fractured government to come up with a unified peace proposal. He said he's ordered the military to continue its blockade on Iranian ports in the meantime. An Iranian media reports Iran's decision not to send negotiators to meet with US officials in Pakistan tomorrow. That's final.

He unveiled the plan at Politico's healthc care summit today, claiming that several states have enrolled fraudulent providers that profit from public programs instead of providing real health care. Dr. Oz says the request will focus on quote highrisk areas, though he did not elaborate on what those areas are. The announcement comes as the Trump administration seeks to highlight its anti-fraud efforts ahead of the November midterms. Last month, Trump tked Vice President JD Vans to review all social service programs for fraud.

[00:01:44]>> Virginia voters have chosen to redistrict their state to give Democrats an advantage in the upcoming midterm elections.

[00:01:52]>> The Associated Press projects a ballot amendment to redraw US House district lines uh that passed tonight. The map that you're seeing here could give Democrats a chance at winning 10 of Virginia's 11 congressional seats. Right now, there's a 6 to5 split in the Democrats favor. And Virginia's bipartisan redistricting process will go back into effect after the 2030 census.

[00:02:15]Now, the ballot amendment was a response to President Trump's call for Republicanled states to redistrict in favor of the GOP. And that all started in the state of Texas, as you may recall. In the meantime, Republicans in the Senate are working to fund the Department of Homeland Security without any Democratic votes.

[00:02:35]>> They unveiled the text of their budget resolution today. That's the first step in a budgetary maneuver called reconciliation. So, this would get their plan passed with a simple majority and said the 60 votes typically needed to pass this kind of funding.

[00:02:48]>> So far, Democrats have been able to block any funding that does not include reforms for ICE. The new plan would fund DHS through the remainder of the president's term without those reforms.
