This video examines how political power in Nigeria operates through concentrated authority, where powerful leaders like President Tinubu can dictate decisions across states, contrasting with the diverse ethnic composition of states like Rivers State that have multiple traditional leaders. The speaker criticizes political patronage, where leaders use resources to support allies rather than developing regions, and highlights how political loyalty often shifts based on power dynamics rather than genuine support for constituents.

Nigeria politicsAdded:
You don't have to be like Lagos.
One man decide what to happen.
So, that's the same thing that will happen here. Rivers and Lagos, are they the same?
Are they the same?
Do we speak the same language here?
Do we have the same culture here?
RIVERS STATE IS MADE UP OF A LOT of nationalities.
Unlike Lagos, unlike other state where one man but here you have a chief, you have a goody, you have a goody, you have a chief. You have that.
Now, only one man from one area will say he will dictate what will happen.
That is our brother Wike.
This was when he was the governor of Rivers State.
Who is he referring to? Everybody know.
He's referring to the president now.
That one man taking decision like Lagos, tooth and truly.
Uh anything that happens in Lagos Tinubu don't know.
If that who make it happen is in trouble.
When Tinubu say it is yours, it is yours. When Tinubu say it is no longer yours keep your mouth shut and go home.
Why? Is it because he is the most powerful politician?
Maybe yes.
Is it because uh he ha- he have a secret force that he use you know, to because for 20-something years he is the one ruling Lagos.
Why is it that nobody challenge Tinubu there? Maybe they like his way of doing things. Trust Nigerians.
If they don't like it, they will tell you they don't like it.
They they they will one day they will I know Tinubu, you know uh take you know, being in in of Lagos, he's not going to be forever. One day somebody have to stand up to him and tell him of that.
You have ruined this state.
As in for 27 years now, it is time for you to step aside.
You understand me? But for now, I believe the lucky is he's I just see all the Legosians, they're all in his power empowering Yorubas from Lagos.
They're people who worked with him when he was the governor.
He's not so good. But let me focus on Wike.
Wike is very close to Tinubu now because he was not on the same page with Tinubu.
Will Wike say things like this today?
He will not because he's with Tinubu now. Whatever Tinubu do is correct now.
Okay now, let's go to what what he did this man that he's talking, what he's doing in our state. He's the one remoting the governor.
They remote telling the governor in Umuahia because Umuahia is a governor who give himself out like that. Nobody want to use him. Nobody want to control him. I don't think Tinubu have time for for rubbish like that anymore. Tinubu is just you know I understand as a president, he have many things to think about. What happened in his state?
It's like the way our governor behave when he sees Tinubu, when he all those it is over sabi, it is a notice me. He want to be part of it. He's not part of it. Nobody care about him.
So he want to So he have to use Tinubu.
He's using Tinubu to shine. He want to use Tinubu. That man he was trained by uh our governor was trained by uh Neni. He have been boy. So it is time for him to be some a governor. He's still acting like a boy. That's the reason why Wike is telling him to go and deliver Umuahia man.
I keep saying I I I like Umuahia man. But Umuahia man is not as popular as as is there I am of truth and truly.
They are they are they are spending money our Edo money just to impose one man on Edo. And to please the same Wike who is saying here one man cannot decide what happened in River State. River State is not like Lagos where they have so many ethnic group. If one man cannot, but he the Wike is the one deciding for the River State today.
But before you when he when he was talking like this you were seeing him as the hero who is coming to do the change.
That's how they behave. Look at the one most of us are supporting Ize-Iyamu. He might go to the Senate today and [ __ ] us up and be the worst. I know these people.
We are just saying because of the way they are playing some politics that man have never been a boy to any politicians. You know, or talking like the way our governor talks sometimes. He He don't do that. But it's a shame. It's a shame. Let me talk to my Edo people.
It is a shame to Orhiomwon people.
In Orhiomwon it is a shame. And all Odubu all those Odubu and the rest and what is it the uh Lucky Igbinedion? I think he was from Orhiomwon.
Even in an amigo it's a shame.
I know your your I know say Ize-Iyamu though Ize-Iyamu helped so many people too.
Uh people always say our me also always say you don't carry people along like that. You understand? But that doesn't mean he have not helped so many people.
But it's a shame for Orhiomwon people.
Orhiomwon, when I say it's a shame I'm not talking about the people that is going to participate in the election tomorrow. Talking about the leaders from Orhiomwon.
For many of them abandoned their brother.
It's is It's a shame on your people. The only one is the most undeveloped area when it comes to Edo state.
Nobody really gives a [ __ ] about and you are the richest local government or one of the richest if you are not the richest, the richest in Edo state.
All the gas, all the oil you see Edo is part of oil producing all our problem local government.
But the money as oil producing state, they use it to develop the whole state and left you people behind.
When it comes to a time to produce a leader they shall lie you people.
And you are not able to support your brother now. Most of the leader them will do good, they betrayed their brother.
I will not be going there.
Because of what you eat, what you eat today.
We remember you people when the time comes. I'm not saying say say he's the perfect man though.
Uh-huh, me I say the way it is but I support I am.
For my own, I have interest, I have reason why I am supporting I am.
I support I am I don't really like that reason.
I fought this president then thinking he want to be controlling politicians in Edo.
I don't like it. The way the governor talk I don't like it.
If for instance it is the governor or Edo people that let Edo people decide.
Governor no need to pop money on it.
I don't if if a governor uh governor Obaseki was governor if if governor Obaseki do what he doing now, what you are doing now, I don't think you will be senator in Edo central. He would have used money to put his man there the way you are doing it now. If Obaseki because we have to say the things Obaseki the one Obaseki so much focus on Edo south when it comes to politics like that. He do his own do but if Obaseki was so dangerous like Obaseki would not have been senator under under opposition.
So many of you have been senator under opposition party.
What you are doing now but time will come.
The model we are keeping all this record. We remember you too.
Be happy today.
So that's it my people. Thank you and God bless.
