The video reports on ongoing negotiations between the U.S. and Iran regarding a potential nuclear deal, with President Trump and his administration claiming progress on reopening the Strait of Hormuz and requiring Iran to dispose of highly enriched uranium, while facing criticism from both political parties about the deal's terms and security implications.

Trump Signals Progress on Iran Deal as Debate Grows Over Nuclear TermsAdded:
A potential deal with Iran suggested to be imminent on Saturday appeared to be still in the works on Sunday. President Trump and his top officials insisting they are in no rush. The New York Times reporting on both sides agreeing to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and commit Iran to disposing of its highlyenriched uranium.
>> Some progress has been made, significant progress, although not final progress.
>> Online, a cacophony of voices ringing out. The loudest of which of course is the president once again expressing discontent about the Iran nuclear deal negotiated for about 20 months by the Obama administration which he says was a direct path to Iran developing a nuclear weapon but suggesting his negotiations are proceeding and the blockade of the straight of Hormuz will remain until a deal is signed. Trump ally General Mike Flynn warning that Iran is lying.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu making clear he'll only agree to a deal that removes all of Iran's nuclear material. Senator Lindsey Graham warning a deal that allows Iran to control the strait will put Hezbollah in Lebanon and the Shia militias in Iraq on steroids. With the president later posting, "Don't listen to the losers who are critical about something they know nothing about." Still, many have been speaking out about what has come out about a deal. Well, now we're talking about a posture where we may accept the nuclear material remaining in Iran. How does that make sense at all?
>> Democrats insisting President Obama's Iran deal, known as the JCPOA, dismantled by Trump in his first term, was far better than what Trump appears to be getting now.
>> This deal alone, easing of sanctions on Iran, allowing them to get billions of more, the same deal he criticized, he's already doing worse then. And Donald Trump is being played as a fool that he is for getting us into this in the first place.
>> A war that's been on pause for weeks, but with impacts that have carried on. A shaken global economy and a long contentious history so many countries want to change. I'm Christine Fzowl reporting.
