We just arrived in FlorenceAdded:
So, greetings from the Rome train station. This is in Germany.
>> Porto. We're waiting for the train and then what you do is you go up to the uh reader board. You look for your train, figure out which track you're on, and then we'll hop on. So, we're about an hour early. This is basically a big shopping mall. Uh so, there's stores and restaurants everywhere. So, it's pretty easy to get here. Sense of what it's like, right? It's basically a shopping mall. Shopping mall with a train station. So, it's a kind of uh very different than than Rome where like you know most of Rome is ancient where this is like completely modernized. So, there's the AG there and we're just looking for a place to go sit down for a few minutes. But they actually have um an Italy over here and then there's a uh bookstore.
There's kind of the overview of the train station what it looks like. It's pretty nice actually. So, this is upstairs in the food court and I'm following Yi. You can see the different choices. It's a lot up here actually.
And a lot of brands you'd probably recognize. There's like a Five Guys right here.
Oh yeah, there's a says Aroma T turn over there. It's a sushi place over here, which may or may not be good. Who knows? I'm so sushi is kind of expensive here. And then uh different drinks and such. Just showing you guys what it looks like. So, we found a place to sit in the train station. I got my happy lemonade. This is everywhere. This stuff is so good. I I It's probably an Italian, right? I would imagine. So, >> I got my coffee cappuccino.
>> Coffee cappuccino.
>> Oh, the price isn't too bad. Only€2 then for that.
>> Yeah, that this is expensive.
>> Well, this is like this is too much.
>> Yeah, I did.
>> Like 4, which is too much to >> grocery >> like $5 for this.
>> Yeah. I mean, [snorts] >> what are you going to do? It's basically >> or yeah, actually you can't find a line for two years.
>> So, we'll get on the train soon.
>> And that's what the view is like. So, I guess we're above the train tracks and it says Roma Turmy in the distance. So, >> take that away, right?
>> You want to warm it a little bit?
>> No.
>> No.
>> Okay.
>> So, I'm sorry.
So, these are the sandwiches you can see and baguette. And then these are the drinks over here, which is like €5 for something that's expensive. We got our sandwich. Uh they screwed up our order, which is fine. They decided to take a water instead cuz we got like the wrong thing. But we figured it out.
>> But sometimes I read, you know, some review that some place not there. They kind of cheated. So you have to check the receipt every time you order something.
>> Yeah, those we didn't give us a receipt, but it's it's fine. So not sure if you can see the board. It is 10:09. Our train is at 10:21 and we still don't know what track we are supposed to be on. So, it's actually really late announcing.
Then it's like this. You kind of run through these gates and we're going to number 10. Okay, we made it through and we got to make it down to car 10. We can find it here.
That's what it looked like. Here's the lock to our car. Looks like there is like a first class. It might be a little bit more room. And I think you get food with some of these things. It's kind of chaos because they only give you 10 minutes to find your track and trade.
It's pretty funny. And everyone's just running through here, but it's not that bad. I've never been in a train station.
Okay, so we made it on the train. Uh we're sitting backwards cuz it's kind of random. Uh there's no no way to predict it.
>> Yeah. So, we had to put our luggage up above kind of up there, but we made it. It's um very different than the KTX and and Crib, but it it's fine. It works. And it's actually the the temperature is fine. There's plenty of leg room. You have power plugs and it's fine. A lot of friendly people on board, so we're fine. You can see a bit of the ride on the train up to Florence.
[music] >> We're going to drive.
>> That's what it looks like. So, we're almost to Florence. So, this must be wine country around there. Should be right at the Florence train station and we're going to try to find some lunch here.
This place is busy.
>> Maybe you're thinking about Five Guys.
>> Yeah, this choice was either McDonald's or Five Guys. Five Guys is probably a little bit better. So, let's go find it.
Okay. So, I went to go find the Five Guys. It was like €11 for a hamburger or €13 for like a cheeseburger. It's not cheap. Okay. And there's nowhere to sit.
Uh, you'd have to walk upstairs to sit and we got like this hard luggage and there's no way we're going to So, I guess we're stuck in McDonald's. We'll see. Let's go see. There's nothing out there really. There's nothing out there.
>> We got to check McDonald too. Maybe there's no seat.
>> Yeah, the stair thing. Yeah, there's not really seats in it. Yes, I'm missing the stairs. Okay, so we made it in McDonald's and actually got a table right there, which is great. And it's like packed. You guys can see. Um, and then the ordering screen's right here. So, we're just waiting.
>> All right. So, we got our food. I I did not think we would eat McDonald's in Italy. I totally didn't. But there's seriously no other choice.
>> Yeah, we are here.
>> So, the problem is we can't check in for a while. And um our our train arrived and so we got AC, a table, we got some food and you know, >> totally fine. And you know, I can try the Big Mac.
>> So, they they were different. They um So, you said to get Big Mac for tea, right?
>> Yeah. The other ones were called like grand gran like grand burger or stuff.
They all had bacon on it and things. So the menu was a little bit different. Um I didn't do anything risky. I just got chicken.
But but you never know. Sometimes with these things the um sourcing could be different. So in Korea actually McDonald's is better than USA cuz the it comes from local orange juice.
>> So French fries tastes pretty same.
See how these include >> try ketchup?
>> Is it ketchup?
>> Yeah.
>> So, Oh, yeah. And they keep trying to upsell you. So, um, every sauce was like 25 cent like 25 cents euro and how you say like 25 cents, I guess. Um, yeah, it it was funny cuz the menu and the menu was really slow, too. So, I don't know if they're using slower processors than what we have in Korea.
Now, this does actually taste different.
It's a different flavor. Um, how do you explain it? It's more sweeter, I guess. And the color is different, too.
>> Seasoning.
>> Yeah, definitely more. It's some sort of different seasoning.
Oh, >> I won't say better or worse. I'll just say different, >> but I wouldn't necessarily like fly out to Italy to try McDonald's.
You know when you don't know where to go and you know >> I went outside of both lines when you get outside you'll see and there cuz you didn't see there were there were people like already kind of like asking you for money or something like that. This is like you know that's why it's so busy.
Like this is probably the busiest McDonald's I've ever seen. It is really busy. So I'm just happy we got a spot. I was kind of worried about that.
>> Okay. Same or different?
>> Almost same.
>> Almost same. Okay.
>> So, I actually felt really stressed uh getting into this train station um from Rome to Florence cuz uh you have to go through like a gate. I I showed you guys a little bit, but uh >> we don't know.
>> Yeah. Just the way just the way that you're not really sure. And then while everyone's like kind of standing around and I don't know if they're in line, so I don't want to like cut in front of them. And then the time the clock is ticking and Gage is like, "Okay, we're just going through." So, so then then the you scan your thing. So you have it all in your phone basically.
Everything's digital these days. That that would really change everything.
What was that?
>> Yeah, you're right. But uh that's that's if if Trump wants Alberta, then you know what's going to happen, right?
>> There's no way it's going to happen. But anyway, just want to introduce you guys.
Um we met in Italy of all places. And uh it's always great to have everyone watching. So nice to meet you, Rego.
>> Yeah.
>> So we're at the taxi stand and basically you got to wait in line and pick up a taxi to go where you're going. Oh. So we finally made it to Florence. Mhm.
>> What'd you notice?
>> Yeah. City is a lot newer, right?
>> Oh, you felt newer. You feel like?
>> Yeah. Cuz in Rome, the ruins is like 2,000 years ago. Right. Right. But here is it's not a a modern city.
>> No, it's not modern. Yeah.
>> But the road the roads are definitely smoother. The sidewalks are a little bit better.
>> Cuz compared, you know, from Rome, it's feels a lot newer even if it's not new.
>> It's it's it's funny cuz you're right.
You're in the same country. But like we arrived and it was like I immediately said, "Yeah, this is a lot nicer."
>> So I I've heard several people say that they don't like Rome.
>> Uh so I I'm kind of thinking the same thing where go see the coliseum, go see the Vatican. Um and you know, maybe spend another day there. You got to see Trevy, I guess, and Spanish Steps >> and then just go somewhere else. Um >> yeah, but here like we just arrived and we we'll try to show you some more of the city. It's more like you would actually live here >> from I can tell.
>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
>> It's it's quieter and the prices are are much more reasonable >> and like I don't know we just see just small thing but city system is a lot better like for example like garbage system.
>> Oh right.
>> That's a good point and we'll show you guys that actually on on the street when we get a chance. Um and then we also saw a fight in the grocery store which is kind of strange. So >> I don't know I don't know this the customer and staff started you know yelling each other.
>> Yeah. So that's the first fight that we've seen. And then we actually met a viewer of the channel, the main channel.
Drago's from Canada. So that was that was pretty cool. So I just wanted to just shout out there. So yeah, if I guess if you're in Italy and you see us on the street, feel free to say hi because you you never know. Um and then uh it feels good to be I don't know here. I I a lot less stressed. That was the other big one.
>> It it just it just feels really different. And plus, you know, we arrived here daytime. The Rome, we arrived there night time. So, we didn't know where to go and, you know, everything start. But >> yeah, getting on the train, which we showed you guys before, um, was a little a little bit stressful. And then, uh, we actually slept about I probably an hour or something like that. They do check your tickets on the train.
>> Mhm.
>> So, but it's kind of funny because you're already almost there. So, I don't know if like they find someone.
>> They find you.
>> Yeah. I guess theoretically. I don't know how that works, but um yeah, everything went pretty smooth.
