Obusa, that is the emo state governor, he is accused of mismanaging uh 800 billion naira, the money they have been deducting from the federal allocation to states. You that itself is illegal. It's a crime.
But that is the governor of the I'm sorry that's the leader of the governor's forum oppos of uh Imo state. So they accused him. They even plotted to remove him because he mismanaged 800 billion NRA that they deducted from the federal allocation to state controlled by APC deducted in order to be used for the reelection of Tinumbu and then they created what they called the renewed hope ambassadors. Have you been hearing about them anymore?
Probably not. So that money they were deducting from states total of over 800 billion naira disappeared and it got all other governors very angry but somehow eh they managed to keep him as said the progressives governor's forum chairman and yeah brought Nigeria back from darkness States are getting more money. But how come the level of poverty continue to rise and rise and rise? They are cheap and all of that. How come they are the ones who are telling him that things are getting better? And they even declared nearly 11 million votes in their primaries for him to make him feel like he's comfortable.
But is that the reality? Sort of.
Uh I'll give you an example.
The time when Okuari was your preced right an average local government in Nigeria was receiving as much as 500 million naira and when you compare the value of Nigerian naira then uh to now hang on.
So that's like a one I mean 1.2 2 $1.3 million today on that call when they have devalued Nigerian naira.
Well, you know the exchange be 1,600 NRA to $1, a local government is being paid for example averageely 1 billion NRA or maybe 1.2 billion NRA.
You see that stretch? It seemed like the local government are getting times sorry times three of what they used to get which is the propaganda that these criminals are pushing.
What is the value of that uh 1.2 billion naira 980 970,000 it's not even up to a million dollar.
Now do you see the difference when the local governments were getting 450 500 that value of that at the time a naira's value to dollar was $1.2 million today they are getting $1.2.3 into 1.3 billion which sounds like more money on the table. They never really get the money anyway but the governors kind of get the money. That is why they are assuring that he shouldn't be worried.
They will perfect it and he is always going to win his re-election.

Now my speech goes to repeat basically what um the governor of Imoset has said but I truly like to capture your courage and um only 1% of politicians in my opinion would take the decisions you took. I remember we were in China when I got a call from the national security advisor and the DGDs saying that all subsidy will be removed and there's no going back. We went into panic mode. I sent a message out to my colleagues at the NGF and nobody wanted to hear that.
I gathered um my colleagues in China with me. Then Governor Solu was there, Governor of Kaduna State and a few others. We met and said how will this how can this be implemented?
It was impossible.
Phone calls back to Nigeria and forth.
So we decided to book an appointment to see Mr. President to let him know that this cannot work.
Well, Mr. president invited us for dinner and um we went to dinner. We sat down and listened to his vision for Nigeria and at the end of the day we couldn't even bring up the topic. We don't even know if he had gotten security reports about why we were coming for dinner but we couldn't bring up the issue. We went back to our room and um we decided well we just have to implement it. So we called advised each other to call state security council meetings because we're expecting serious riots because our riots end bad government rights even before then and for lesser issues.
Well lo and behold we spent money we we mobilized the security agencies to everybody secure your state. Lo and behold on that day nothing happened.
There was no riots. there was no protest anywhere.
I think the nation was shocked by the audacity of Mr. President to implement that serious um policy. Now today we've benefited immensely from that policy. I can say as a matter of fact in my own state when we get the FC allocation after paying salaries we're left with a 100 or 200 million and then mark it cost about 100 million to build a kilometer of road. So all states resorted to issuing bonds and borrowing money. Today states are not going to borrow money. They're not going to issue bonds. In fact, we're reducing our debt burden. Some states have pled the debts like Delta state has pled its debt. Um we inquire reduce our debt by 40%. Um so the benefits are there. Look, minimum wage has gone up and on the issue of minimum wage um most of the states are paying almost 100,000 naira today and I urge your excellency to let's have a discussion on moving the minimum wage to a minimum of 100,000. We know we'll get the normal support from you as we go ahead to implement that. Now I can keep talking about various projects across this country um like the Lagos Calaba which opens up a lot of investments like the Badagri Sukoto which opens a lot of investments the AKK um pipeline so there's a lot to say but what amazes me is your audacity to hold on to this report reforms and see it through and that is something that's commendable a round of applause because of Mr. President.
So, well, you've shown leadership and we're following you through. We'll continue to follow you um as you go along and we pray to God to give you the strength and wisdom to continue to lead Nigeria in the forthright manner which you have been doing. There's a lot to be said, but today is to wish you a happy salah.
And um some of our governors are in Saudi Arabia, the holy land, and a few of them sent their apologies. Uh state went for Judeo.

and you build that trust around one person my leadership I thank you very much I thank you I can't say more than I'm grateful grateful to almighty God that we are here together to share whatever we have in each other's thinking and developmental programs.
I'm glad out of the 27 governors borrowing from federal government asking for interventions and all what not to survive to pay salaries.

Then I think by then decided to come back to PDP. So when he came back, he was welcomed and he became their presidential candidate in 2019.
So Wiki who was like spending funding the party, keeping it together, some of these guys giving them money, thought he was doing it, preparing himself for 2023.
That was his plan and he didn't hide it.
He believed that whatever PDP became at the time was his own making.
Left for people like Katiku and others, PD will be dead long time ago. you shouldn't be even be hearing about PDB anymore. So he deserved to be rewarded and he rightly so right he was working towards it.
So after 2019 art disappeared again by then to he's already made friends up north and all that down south right he was already kind of like pushing his own influence up to Edo state that was wicked making sure that PDP was ready on the day of their convention his closest pal trusted pal and Bua disappointed him stepped down from the race the race that Wiki actually told him to go into as a decoy so that he could hold together all the delegates that will be needed. So at that uh convention at be congress right he will step down and he will hand over all his delegates to wiki and they were enough to make him presidential candidate but shockingly tambula went on the podium and then announced that he was stepping down but not for wik but for that was the greatest betrayer that wik got so deflated but he didn't stop then he felt like okay if that is it. I think we should make him vice president. He started pushing. That also failed. That was the moment the crack appeared to call because by then Ku already secured the APC ticket and offered Wiki a blank check. What do you want?
Right. This is what he wanted. Okay, you get it. All we want is just to please just ensure that we have 25% in river state 25%.
By the time WK was done, you know the story even call was so shock that not only did he ensure he gets that 30 to 40% of the vote, right? He sabotaged his own party PDP and the candidate of his own party so much that he didn't hide it. I think we did not campaign one day no one minute in river state throughout the 2023 campaign. He never visited there because we can actually bar him, ban him from coming anything PDP was like you don't even dare and he was a PDP governor in reward for all of that to make sure that he finished the job calling minister and here we go look at PDP PDP almighty PDP is what is now more like a charade a mock Sorry for people you waiting for that long, right? You've seen that there's a main and when you follow through the root of title you see that this is the main system but again extraordinary times require extraordinary things. So when a problem generates the solution should be sweet generous. So what the essence of today was the fact that the national leadership had already agreed and at the state level they had already made their declaration. So it was needful to do it today. And so when they stopped us and I'm sure you've seen that the entire stretch of the road has been barricaded.
So we are a very peace-loving people. We we had planned to go there and engage with them but the leaders said no why not wait and defeat them at the pools.
The best victory will be at the pools not through fistic and so they persuaded on us and we said okay no problem and what needed to be done has been done which is the motion has been taken and we have announced to the world there's a constructive notice now on and we send information to them that we have produced our presidential candidate and that stays as that at at a time like this. Good luck Jonathan's running is not his ambition. It is a calling from the people for him to run.
Why is it so? The next four years must be four years of healing, four years of restoration, four years of patience, four years of nation building. Who is best suited to do that is a good luck >> in in it. Nigerians are watching you know the ones you know um um um PDP with a a large umbrella to accommodate everybody has now become divided. That is what it is. What should Nigerians make out of this? Um um some people will call it a sham of a convention but of course it is still a convention for your faction. What Nigerians who are watching what should they make out of this?
>> No if you say a sham then the question will be is Nigeria a sham because Niger we are reacting to an action. So you cannot describe the reaction without talking about the action. Is this what a democracy should be that people cannot have the right to freely associate?
People cannot have the right to meet. I mean assuming not considered that we were not even a political party. We're just a gathering of different people. We have the right to meet. Unregistered political associations can meet. I mean there's a right to lawful assembly and for all intents and purpose this is a lawful assembly and your station covered similar events in similar places. So the question is what made this different? It clearly goes to show that President Good Luck Jonathan is the biggest fear and nightmare of this administration. He's the one who has the key to open the door and send them home. And that is what they are trying and fighting as much as they can to stop. But there's nothing stopping an idea whose time has come.

So, so the question is let's go to the end and we'll see who is the winner and who will laugh the last.

And when you look at that's the quality of a man that we need at this moment. A man who is not hungry for power. A man who is not willing to kill for power. A man who is not willing to destroy society for power.

So they believe that with this now this is like going to be a wakeup call for all of them and from tomorrow right you may have to begin to feel a different trend.
So today in Abuja Petanso Herak Dixon and a couple of them right assembled to affirm BW as their presidential candidate. Let's start from uh what do you call it? Let's started from their arrival. That's uh to the venue.

Um, do you have Jonathan or PDP?
We've cancelled PDP anyway, right? Not well, we still have to kind of list it.
Okay, I might list uh them as parts, right? So then you have um this togo I don't know maybe not to maybe forgo which is the candidate of the weakest camp, we group for PDP as well. So right now you have OB or NDC AAC.
You have your presidential candidates.
You now have all the list of parties that are going to help validate the charade that Tinumbu is going to conduct in 2027. You get what I mean?
And like with all this stuff invested, it will be so hard, right, to now say, "Oh, you've been rigged out by just saying it." You know what I mean? Like, "Oh, you've been rigged out." They will say, "Well, it's because you lost."
