In competitive robotics competitions like VEX Worlds, successful teams demonstrate the ability to quickly pivot their strategy when facing defensive pressure or when objectives become unachievable, such as abandoning a contested goal to focus on scoring middle goals or executing match loads, which requires excellent coordination between alliance partners and real-time strategic decision-making.

Everyone is So Good😭Added:
Here we are after day three and we see 8198E still in first place but 10B very close in second with all three of these teams having a total max score. I think it comes down to the second highest score and then stop time and I'm pretty sure XRP has 10 beat beat for now but they're you know overtaking each other quite a few times today. So that's very exciting to see what happens for the last day. I'm not sure if 10b can can make a comeback here and beat extra for skills, but you know, Extrop is it has been three years in the making for them.
So, I'm pretty happy if they do win. But anyways, back on to some some qual now.
This is qual 132 out of the Innovate Division. Here we have the first and fourth seed against the 18 and 22. It's going to be a really interesting match here as these are all some very high level teams. This is the first time I've watched this match, but we see a lot a lot of scoring from both of these teams here on or both of these alliances. All four of these teams here, I think 3150A has had a dome uh appearance maybe with maybe garage productions had one as well. But on the in the blue alliance as well, some very very strong strong teams here. Let's see as the drivers starts immediately descored by the blue alliance. Um, and we're interesting to see that this blue line darts directly for the for all these blocks here. That's um I think that's 2154 going for all these blocks here.
Immediately collecting that that park zone and getting more blocks from from the red from the red uh area here.
interesting strategy for them to to play here immediately using up all the far far side blocks here and you know leaving none leaving no blocks um that is you know far away from them and grabbing all the ones that are hard to get first and then using them to score right I think it's a pretty good strategy here of course red alliance playing amazing middle goal uh defense here against the blue I think uh really What captivates me and really what's the differentiating factor between a really high level match and a lowle match is those middle goal plays, right? How fast you can switch between playing those longs and going to the middles, right?
And this is I feel like this is why this is so I think this blue strategy so well uh here I don't know they're not really well coordinated as they both were on that middle goal and one of them had to waste some blocks but um especially for this team here 2154 they were able to early match use up all of those blocks um from the from the far from the far areas where it's harder for them to get to and harder for them to drive and then later on the game you know free to match after having a after having used already a lot of blocks but definitely needing very good coordination here as this was a big mistake for them to make here wasting them some very precious blocks in this very highly competitive match here. Red Alliance opting to do the same here but towards the end that is I'm pretty sure it's Grow Productions 95111V going in collecting a ton of blocks from the park uh park zone. Noticing a lot of these good teams here are using this four blocks to their advantage immediately scored here. Honestly, it's interesting because as the blue alliance here, um maybe it's not even that bad to slowly push this red block further in.
So then, you know, you really can't get that block or get this goal desc. But we're going to see what they do here.
They're going to take a more risky approach and it's going to work out really well for them as they're able to tie up that goal and and 91 or the first seed is going to dump a ton of blocks in for their their sort of last second dump here. And this puts them in a bad position, I feel like, because like this is a little bit too early for a for a dump and they don't have enough blocks to make this really work out, right? So, I think what they should have done here is went for the match though before this, right? Or maybe they should even jked him out and gone to the other side um and filled this up full, right?
Because I think I think the better play here was to have try to get through here and then match load all blocks here and then try to try to uh peek a full goal while your teammate can defend you, right? Your teammate can play a screen for you or he can play middle goal, right? But in this case, dumps all these blocks out and no more blocks. He doesn't have any more blocks. So, this is kind of a a a bad I think a strategic mess up here cuz now he has to either stay here defending all these points or go match load, right? And it's a really hard decision because either way, whatever you do, um it's not amazing.
And here he tries to it's pretty amazing right here. He tries to just play risky and and you know, try to just play these blocks as is and tries to get this goal.
And luckily for him here, um, he's actually blue blue loses their footing and get and red gets an amazing Dcore there completely changing the tides of the match uh, in this in this in this case here. And then even better for them, they have they have more blocks to match load now. But blue here very quickly is going to take that take that uh goal back and red comes in and last second scores and the blue takes it back. Wow.
Wow. And then of course of course silver owl is going to it's going to dump do a last second dump and then it's going to be over because I don't think the blue alliance really noticed them match loading all these blocks here. Oh, they did notice. But why weren't they holding that?
I think like if you know someone's going to last second dump, you just you just can't leave them be like here. Like, okay, sure. Like, you have to go for that, right? You have to fight that. But like here, they're just getting a an easy last second dump here as as you just left, right? Okay. But still pretty good match again in the innovate division. A lot of good matches here in the innovate division. We have 9123C, Shanghai, Ray Guan, and against some other good teams like 8110C with their lever 64411B.
And of course, Red's line to 766 86A.
Very impressive auto here out of both lines with blue taking that bonus.
Pretty good for them, right? Immediately we're going to see some intense driving out of the red lines here out of Ray Guan and getting the entire goal desc.
It's interesting to see that there's know quite a lot of different system strategies here. Some of these teams aren't really going for for the the park park bars 811. There's another interesting Sorry. Another interesting thing for for levers is that you can sit right here on the edge and then um the opponents can push these blocks into your lever and then you can just lever them back out, which is kind of what what the the plan for for for this blue alliances um for this blue team is right now, right? as as their alliance partner Ray Guan tries to to play some some some go some some some goals on that and sorry not their alliance their opponents and their alliance tries to play and Rayuan's going to come help his alliance out but don't think it's going to it's going to be pretty hard because it's going to be pretty hard to move this lever and big D square out of Rayuan pushing it the other way and I think they they they learned that from Norcow's as I'm pretty sure that's what Timb did to them at Orcal. Anyways, a couple blocks in for forgon and then a huge lever play out of out of 81,0001 or 81 8110 1C tired today. But yeah, huge lever.
And then another big D square. Ton of blocks here though in this in this area here for the red alliance. A ton of the blue blocks are actually there. So see what actually happens here. Rayon gets a little bit stuck. Big D score. I think every a lot of teams here are all really really good at at playing this wing. So kind of it's just how good you are at at um at at like utilizing those blocks and making sure that you have those blocks to towards the end of the game here. And I think a lot of the that's what really differentiates these teams. is Rayuan having a lot of these blocks able to get control of both of those middle middle goals at the end there and having all these match loads ready uh to use as well and doesn't look like they're going to they're going to use them just yet as they are like we need to get some more blocks or we need some more points and then I think they this is pretty pretty cool they're able to very quickly switch between um they they adapted super super well to how how the blue lines plays cuz they know, hey, the blue line's going to just stay here. So, there's no chance we're going to be able to uh push this into them, right? So, instantly when they see that they're sitting here immediately going to the other side and doing the D square on the other side because they know how their opponents plays now after even just a couple a minute, right? And big big match load out of Rayquan. Looks like they might get heavily defended here as the last 5second counts down. Will they get this?
And they do. They get at the last second here. And it's game for them. I don't know if they I think they I'm not sure if they won this match, but anyways, on Qual 210. This is uh in the design division. This is a really good match because in this match we have 8,01B.
um currently the first seed in the design div and 98601B the ninth seed against Barkbots which is 22nd and 3184A.
I think Barkbots had a really hard time uh so far at Worlds because because their their robot got lost. Yep, that's right. TSA did not bring them the robot not letting them have this this fourth dome appearance or something like that.
But once again, their autos are still very very good. Think bark bots. I don't even know how they had it this bot.
Maybe they traveled. They brought two robots. That's that's pretty crazy though. But so, you know, it's not all all lost for them as they are still ranked super high even though this bot they have not touched in in probably like two months. Here we are. Match star spark bots going. I think one thing that definitely uh definitely you want to put your your you definitely want to like pay attention to is is how Barkbots is able to really quickly pivot um when getting defended and losing an objective like whenever they I think they're one of the teams to to f to pivot the fastest after losing an objective here.
And it's interesting because they don't let any of their blocks be used against them. They descore everything, right?
and then immediately pivoting to do the next thing, right, which is collecting blocks and scoring mids, which is, you know, I think definitely a a driver style that's pretty hard to replicate here. Um, but yeah, coming over here to play some defense again. And then and then as soon as he realizes that that red's going in for a slow like red's going, you know, red's going to put put these slow or push these blocks in slow. Immediately Dark Bots is is pivoting their strategy here and going for from matchless, right?
Because it's like, oh wow, it's like, okay, I'm not going to get those blocks.
Might as well just know move on to the next task, right? And that's super interesting with their uh with what they do there being able to pivot so well and change um what they do. There we go.
filling up a full a full robot again going in. Play some more big score out of the the middle the middle goal there and a big D score as well. Let's see if they get this. Actually, it's going to be pretty hard. The robots think this is a pretty old robot here.
They do with 30 seconds left. They're going to put some more blocks into that bottom. But I mean this is pretty still really close match here as Red Alliance is playing extremely well here. This being the first and ninth seed here.
Park's playing against the first seed team here and this is going to be pretty pretty nuts here how fast they can pivot because immediately they realize here with 15 seconds left they lose or they're not even like they haven't fully lost this goal yet but immediately they realize what's more important to them are those middle goals. So immediately they pivot and they score mids because they're like hey right like like this goal is probably lost so we're going to know score mids and then once his team or once his opponent m uh leaves he hits a big dore so insanely impressive out of the design division here. He seems all right now 199.
All right, this is a another highle match here out of the innovate division.
We have 586E 8675A against 18968K and 3150A again.
These this team 3150A that's seen them twice today already.
A lot of you guys wanting to see these matches.
But yeah, immediately off the bat see lever forguan against two snackies.
Not a whole lot has happened so far. Um, blue alliance just getting a lead after losing the auto and red alliance getting those points back.
Still nobody. Oh, big D score from red lines there on the top.
as 3150A fills that back up immediately. And I think it's interesting that that I think this is a little bit of a mistake here as they saw that red was lined up and they and they because there's five blocks in there, right? So they push it in then red definitely could have hit it. So, this is a little bit weird cuz they pushed they did a slow push and then red was able to just completely swipe everything out super super quick. I think what they should have done is just did a fast rally there knowing that I mean I don't know if they knew there's five blocks in there. So, if there was four blocks in this slow push would have been better, but there's a five blocks in a fast rally, right? And that's about but still once again uh it's good. A lot of these really good teams are really really quick to pivot, right? The second they realize, hey, what uh this part is lost, right? If our opponent's going to win this, then we're going to let them waste more time on this and we're going to move on, right? So, that's what they do here. So, very quickly pivoting.
Not grabbing the the park zone blocks.
Interesting though. I mean, I I guess they have enough blocks, but still interesting to not see them not grab those park zone blocks. Getting a tie in neutral on that. Verance puts a couple blocks in. Still super super close. A lot of these teams up in the top 16 are super good at playing these uh these goals now with those wings. And it's really hard to differentiate, you know, who's really better on those on those goals. Uh whether it be a dome driver or just a top or top 16 driver, right? And it really really comes down to the alliance strategy for tomorrow. And I think that's what we're looking at.
By the way, you know what? I have my money on uh if if uh if 1028A goes with 10B, I have my money on on Loki on them winning. I can't even lie. That's that's pretty overpowered. Or Power Beans and and Hea Academy. Um that could be an intense intense match up as well with those strategies. Power Beans and them, they could be insane. Anyways, that's all I have for for
