[00:00:00]Hey folks, if you are against the temporary foreign workers program, then Whippby Town Counselor says you are racist, xenophobic, garbage.

[00:00:31]She said, "If you are against the temporary foreign worker program, you are a xenophobic racist garbage."

[00:00:41]The motion that was put forward was absolute garbage. It was offensive. It was xenophobic and I had serious issues with it. It was illegal to say the to say the least. And I didn't think it was fair as a counselor to be forced to sit here and debate something that was xenophobic and racist. And I and that was my opinion. I made it publicly. I made it privately and I shared it with anybody who asked. So if we want to go ahead and make that cost public, I have no problem doing so. You can pin the entire cost on me because I just think it's incredibly unfair that we're asked to sit here and we're asked to talk about federal policy that has nothing to do with us. The town of Whippby, I understand, has a buy Canadian program.

[00:01:24]So, they're okay with buying Canadian goods and services, but they're not okay with employing Canadians. Well, yeah.

[00:01:32]And that she can't even fathom the fact that there are some workers who come here and are taken advantage of, and perhaps that needs to be investigated.

[00:01:41]And why would we want our tax dollars going to support potential employers who are manipulating employees?
