The Chickens Have Been Taking Up A Lot Of Our Time But We Are Back!!

[00:01:39]As you can see, bush hoging is on the to-do list. Eric has actually been doing some repairs on ours.

[00:10:50]And the the goal is just to check the two of them. from the last one Eric was just looking at um which it doesn't hurt to check them again but uh just kind of get a little bit more practice with that ultrasound machine but uh the one that did not have a calf and we're trying to figure out what's going on with her um is open so we'll get a cow trailer and probably going to get rid of her.

[00:11:19]The other the first one that he checked was heavy bred, which she was supposed to be. She's actually a little late coming back in, but glad to know that she is not far from that.

[00:11:33]And then the other one is kind of right in line with we put the bull in December 1st and Eric didn't say for sure on a projected date or size, but so it's a bigger calf. So, she's probably 6 months, 5 to 6 months bred.

[00:12:47]We got another pasture that needs a couple calves weaned. We need to check um the heers that we bred back in December.

[00:13:02]Uh that'll be another ultrasound maybe this week.

[00:13:11]And we need to wean our registered.

[00:13:14]They're due up for weaning. So, we got a lot to do.

[00:18:55]We got to get the raw hide out of this pasture, but we didn't want to leave that number 63 cow in here. So, now they got her out. We can come back and fold this up and move it to the next spot.

[00:19:08]I'm going to take her, drop her off over at Eric's dad's. We're going to house her there and then figure out where she's going from there. probably to the sail barn.

[00:19:18]I'm gonna try to catch one of our bulls and go put him in another pasture where we had to take a bull out that was having some leg trouble. I don't know if the bull will cooperate.

[00:20:02]I had done a little video of it last week, but then last week we just had a crazy week and we didn't get a video posted last week.

[00:20:12]Like I said earlier, the chickens have been consuming a lot of our time and not in a good way.

[00:22:51]I'm going to ride out and see where we've got a couple bulls in with some of our steers.

[00:23:00]It's actually the brother to the bull that was with this cow here.

[00:23:08]which is the big rig bloodline.

[00:23:12]But I'm going to go check and see if we could possibly get him to come up.

[00:23:30]Well, a little rain shower come through and so I get a video getting the bull loaded up, but this is the bull that I was wanting to get.

[00:23:49]Got about 10 cows in this pasture.

[00:25:11]We weaned several calves out of this pasture probably about a month ago and in one of our videos we were actually working some of them they didn't have any tags but uh the ones out of this pasture they were the ones that were they were really calm come right up to you so we had enough to get rid of that bull in here but he kept having leg issues and he wasn't getting the job done on the breeding um there's a couple in here that need breeding now so this pasture will be kind of flip-flopped some fall cavs some spring calves, but we'll eventually get them back together, move some cows around and make it where it's everything is on the same page. But going to head back towards the chicken houses. Looks like we may get a little bit more rain here shortly.
