Only if you apply it. What would my life be like if God touched my mind [music] as much as I touched my phone? With the amount of times we touch our phone, it's no wonder we're exhausted, anxious, [music] and distracted, overwhelmed, stuck in survival mode. Our nervous system was never meant for constant stimulation like that. Constant notifications, noise, comparisons, urgencies. This keeps so many of us stuck in a low-grade fight or flight, and you can't heal well in that state.
It impacts sleep, indigestion, hormones, our focus, our emotional peace, and our relationships. [music] This is why the scripture is constantly pointing us back to things like peace, stillness, abiding, resting, and trusting. These are not just spiritual concepts. These are part of God's design for how we heal. Jesus says, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, [music] and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28.
So, here's a big perspective shift. Your nervous system was never meant for constant stimulation. [music] God's design has always been for peace, rest, stillness, trust, because our body, mind, heart, and soul heal when it feels safe.
