[00:03:35]The exchange of perspectives was an exercise of considerable value.

[00:03:41]The maritime domain has seen a steady expansion of collaboration including surveillance and domain awareness, logistics network, undersea cables, training, capacity building, and HADR activities.

[00:03:57]We will be continuing to deepen these areas in the times ahead.

[00:04:03]We spent some time on the question of safe and unimpeded maritime commerce and reaffirmed the significance of scrupulously observing international law.

[00:04:17]Our four nations are also market economies.

[00:04:21]We believe strongly that economic resilience should be promoted, that supply chain should be strengthened, trusted and secure technologies diffused, and production capacities enhanced.

[00:04:36]Our deliberations touched on the current energy and fertilizer availability, as well as that of critical minerals and resources. As democratic nations, we also devoted attention to countering the common threat of terrorism, there must be zero tolerance for terrorism, and nations subject to terrorist attacks have the right to defend themselves.

[00:05:02]Realizing the promise of technologies.

[00:05:05]The Indo-Pacific has, in addition, its own particular concerns.

[00:05:11]This will require enhancing strategic confidence, ensuring maritime security, promoting economic choices, and fostering a deeper collaborative ethos.

[00:05:23]And that is best done by promoting trusted and transparent partnerships.

[00:05:30]We have seen encouraging progress on many initiatives.

[00:05:35]As maritime democracies, pluralistic societies, and market economies, we share a responsibility towards a free and open Indo-Pacific.

[00:05:45]The region must remain a driver of global growth and stability.

[00:05:51]We will be underlining that today through our deliberations, which I'm confident will be useful and productive.

[00:06:01]And by the way, the most interesting thing about the quad is not simply that we are it is a gathering of four strategic allies in which we come together to sort of compare notes about areas of of common interest, but also and it's not always an increasingly becoming a form by which we begin to take action. But each of these four nations represented here today bring unique capabilities that collectively we can bring to bear on some of the most significant problems facing the world.
