The speaker argues that the United States continues aggressive actions against Venezuela and Cuba, including detaining foreign leaders in New York and conducting military exercises in Caracas, yet there is virtually no domestic resistance in the USA. The speaker criticizes the lack of sustained protest and action, noting that even significant events like the kidnapping of Venezuela's president resulted in only a week of minor protests before returning to normalcy. The speaker contrasts Venezuela's centralized power structure with Cuba's decentralized system, suggesting this affects resistance potential. The speaker calls for the US left to prioritize Cuba and Venezuela on their agenda, urging people to take action rather than relying on social media to feel like they've done something. The speaker uses Bolivia as an example of effective resistance despite having access to technology and entertainment, arguing that people have the power to make a difference.

Cuba & Venezuela Must Be TOP of the Agenda!Added:
We need to talk about Cuba and Venezuela. We need to talk about this and we need to keep it on the radar fucking endlessly. There is this lack of action right now. There's plenty of the announcement. There's no action. The The domestic resistance is zero. Zero. Zero.
None. In the USA. Think about the ridiculousness of the five months that we've passed so far this year. The president of Venezuela was kidnapped, taken to New York, put into a dungeon there. There was like a week of minor protests organized by like the PSLN a couple of other groups. And then everyone just started going back to normal. The mayor of New York is a DSA member. His city is being used by the US federal government to put foreign heads of state in a dungeon.
And he is not doing anything about it.
He's not saying anything about it.
What the hell? Like we can talk all we want about Delcy Rodriguez being turned by the US government. Blah blah blah.
Fundamentally, they probably told her do whatever you want or we kill you.
Fundamentally, she's like, "Okay, well, I don't want to die."
So, um well, ultimately, she probably is a traitor.
She probably is.
Ultimately, she's between a rock and a hard place with no good option. And I think most of many of us could not say that we would not cave in the same situation.
There were US military exercises in Caracas this past week.
American planes doing fucking military exercises in the capital of a country that until five months ago was one of the bastions of resisting American imperialism in Latin America. Is this certainly the fault of traitors in the Venezuelan government? Sure, but ultimately, when they have no allies, when there's no domestic pressure to make this sort of thing impossible in the USA, what can they do? What can they fucking do? And if they were able to do that to Venezuela, to Maduro, by the way, like Maduro is way, way, way more important of a figurehead than anyone in Cuba right now. There is no one, no one individual in Cuba who is anywhere near as, like, ingrained as this figure of the important political leader that Maduro was. In Cuba, you have a very decentralized power structure, where anyone could be the president and they'd all be the same. In Venezuela, it wasn't like that at all. So, you would think the reaction to it would be extremely, like, powerful.
You know, the leader has been kidnapped.
This emblematic leader of of a country that is a victim of American imperialism has been kidnapped in New York City. Us anti-imperialists in the USA, we can rally around this. This is a new paradigm for us. We can fight this and we can also then extend that to fighting other things. But it was like, we're going to protest for a week and then it's just going to drop off the radar.
And we don't even know when his next hearing is. When is it? I don't know. No one's talking about it. We talk about it, but we don't do. Maybe social media has made us morons, I don't know. Social media makes us feel like we do something so we don't have to get up and do it anymore.
And then Cuba, they want to do the same shit to Cuba somehow. We saw it with the indictment against Raul Castro.
They definitely want to do something to Cuba. Now, Cuba is a different beast to Venezuela. Cuba's military is much better funded, much better trained, has very experienced officers and the chain of command is like they fought wars in Africa.
It's a totally, totally different to Venezuela. It would not be as easy for them in Cuba without a massive betrayal.
But at the same time, like, the the ones who have the most power to really do something about this aren't the Cuban military, it's the Americans at home who have the power to make this so inconvenient for them and they don't even think about doing it.
But, the resistance is none. The resistance isn't there. This is This was like a potential like I mean, I don't know why I'm saying this cuz Gaza was before this and it didn't really result in that much, but this was another potential Vietnam war moment after Gaza, right? A potential war like a massive movement against imperialism and it was a fart. It was a little fart, not even like two farts in a session. Just a tiny little peep like nothing.
And they're just going to try to do something to Cuba. It might not go as well as they hoped it would, but they're just going to try to do something to Cuba. It's pretty really fucking obvious that they want to do something in Cuba. It's just not clear what and it's scarcely talked about.
The mayor of the city where Maduro is prisoner has not said that even said anything let alone done anything. They've been bombing random fishermen in the Caribbean for more than a year at this point. It's just something has fundamentally changed that has made the US even worse in terms of the resistance to imperialism. It is so much worse.
There's certain things that you can point to that are correlated with it like the integration of racial minorities into the broader system. They've been given a lot more to lose than they had 40-50 years ago.
Social media, phones, the internet, the the spread of technology, all this sort of thing has surely played a part in it, but I still think there can and should be more. Like look at Bolivia. In Bolivia, people have phone.
In Bolivia, people have social media. In Bolivia, people have internet. In Bolivia, people have Marvel. They have Marvel movie. They have Taylor Swift, but they fight. Americans can do it, too. I just wish they did it for people in other countries. They don't even do it for themselves. I I don't what I'm talking about.
It's time to talk about what's happening in Bolivia. Look at the images. The tension is not easing. Protests continue to fill the the streets.
In the last few hours, Bolivian President Rodrigo Bolivians are fighting.
And the thing is the situation in Bolivia isn't even that bad and they're already out in the fucking street.
Like I do think yeah, this is like the last gasp of the dying American empire that Trump is helping to accelerate. You know, long live the butcher Trump who works in spite of himself to create the conditions of the fall of the American empire. That's what I always say.
However, in the interim, we can mitigate how many people the empire is going to take down with it through action.
Where is the action? This shit needs to be way more on the agenda. I would say it needs to be a priority right now for the US the US um left. You know, get out on the street, cause problems for them, make them think twice. Make them think that if they do something to Cuba, something bad will happen.
Make them think that if they do if they do something to Cuba, you know, something even bigger than what you're showing them you're willing to do will happen. Make them think twice.
You have the power. You have the ability.
You have the mayor of New York City where fucking Maduro is prisoner.
Cuba and Venezuela have to be on top of the agenda right now and they aren't.
They aren't. They aren't. We're just forgetting about them and it's crazy, man. It's fucking crazy.
