Grand Staff's Music Research Study
Added:Greetings, lovers of music, lovers of the art, and lovers of all the wonderful children who truly hold all our futures in their hands. Hence, we must treat them well, and we must teach them well with music for the benefit of all and unto the glory of nature and nature's God. Me dear friend, Johann Sebastian Bach, said, "The final end and aim of all music should be none other than the glory of God and the refreshment of the soul." And me dearest of friends, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, whom I worked with when he was just 3 years of age, said, "The music is not in the notes, but in the silence between." Which is reminiscent of prayer and meditation.
The silence needs the melody, and the melody needs the silence, just as nature and God needs us, and we need nature and God. We also need music. Especially our children. Researchers at the University of Montreal used various brain imaging techniques to investigate brain activity during musical tasks and found that sight-reading musical scores and playing music both activate regions in all four of the cortex's lobes, and that parts of the cerebellum are also activated during these tasks.
