This video provides a sharp deconstruction of the moral gymnastics required to reconcile ancient scriptures with modern ethics. It effectively exposes the logical fragility of a benevolent deity who remains silent in the face of historical atrocities.

Is God Evil Or Just Misunderstood?
Added:Billy from Kentucky. So, he wants to know what you mean by worship an evil god.
The prompt, I'm not sure. Was that the part of the um Hi Billy, how are you?
>> I'm doing good. How are y'all doing today?
>> I'm doing great. Was Was that part of the the quiz today? Was the evil god?
>> I I just I was just scrolling around and I seen it and I just didn't didn't know what you all meant by that. I'm just asking.
>> I I didn't put it up, so I'm not positive what you're actually talking about, to be honest with you.
>> On your on your You- on your YouTube page, um I'm looking at YouTube. It says uh "You worship an evil god. Prove us wrong." And I was just didn't know what you all >> I'm looking at the YouTube page and it says says Truth Wanted 09.29 with Kelly Laughlin and Ryan Kolb Tastic.
>> It's on the vertical stream.
>> Oh, it's on the vertical. Okay.
>> vertical. They tricked us.
>> Okay, yeah. See, I have no idea what it mean what what who put that up there, but uh do you know you do you don't think that Do you think that God does not have any evil aspects or >> I think people I think God is whatever I want God to be. And that's my point of it. I'm not I was born Catholic. I was and I'm older than I got. I'm 53.
So, I don't always believe everything from the Bible. Do you want to hang me?
But I think God bring that good stuff of good people, but I also bring that evil in people. So, that's my point of view.
So, I was just asking.
Just just just asking. I was just wondering.
>> I I think what was probably meant is that uh people who do worship uh the Christian god, um they don't realize all the evil things that that god has done over the course of history or the supposed history that is in the Bible.
And I think that's probably what that prompt was about.
>> I think I don't think God had done evil.
I think people do evil. I don't I don't even I don't I'm not going to I don't know what God is I'm I'm kind of you're going to talk about how she kind of didn't know what she went through but I'm the same way.
I'm not making fun of you either one of you. I think you're correct. I'm just saying I don't I'm not going to blame it on a God that I cannot prove or disprove.
People are responsible for their own actions.
>> I I'm I'm basing what I'm saying on what is supposed to be the word of God.
Right? The Bible is supposed to be the the direct word of God. So, if you're a Christian and you believe that is the direct word of God, there's a lot of thing evil things that God does in the Bible.
>> Like what?
>> Like what? Um how about endorsing slavery? How about um >> Flood.
>> Yeah how about all the the hundreds of thousands of innocent babies that were killed in the flood?
>> thousands of Okay, what I'm not I mean I'm just asking. I'm not here to argue. I'm just asking to be to be to argue with you the same Where in the Bible does it say that slavery's good?
>> It says it in Leviticus and it says it in uh Numbers. Is that correct?
>> it What does it What does it What does it say in Leviticus?
>> It says that the that um that the people of Israel are to buy their slaves from the nations around them and that they can keep them as property and leave them to their children.
And then it also in another part of the Bible says that you can beat your slave as long and as long as he can get up 3 days later that it's okay. Basically, you could beat your slave half to death and it's okay.
>> That is not exactly what it says, but >> That's exactly what it says.
>> No, it doesn't. It doesn't say how to do it. It It It tells you how you have to do it.
>> [sighs and gasps] >> You want to blame Okay.
You want me to say that earlier when But was last called while you made a statement about how the South was wrong with slavery and they're going to >> Well, I was just I was say what what I was talking about is how our views of that have changed over the 150 years. I didn't say whether it was wrong or right.
>> The The The North The North owned slaves, too.
>> Pardon?
>> You know that, okay?
>> I mean, churches owned slaves.
That's I'm We're not That's That's not the point. That the The point is that you're You're doing whataboutism now.
You're just saying, "Hey, because Wait, no, no, stop, stop, stop. You're doing whataboutism. That's like when Hey, you know, this It just cuz slavery is in the Bible, you know, these other people had slavery, too, so that means it's okay."
>> Why are you Why are you trying to Okay.
Okay. A lot of good people believe in in God.
>> Yeah.
>> Actually, more than God.
Why Why is it that you want to make sure they they they hate God? What I mean, what point are you I mean, I don't get your point. You're You're You're going out like you're intentionally going out to try to say, "Hey, hey guy, you you go to church every Sunday, you walk, you raise your kids right.
Now, but your God is evil and you're evil for worshiping that God." That's what it sounds like.
>> I Well, I >> like that probably cuz a lot of us might might feel that way as well because of how we're >> You got to remember that, you know, I I know you haven't, but you are not everybody, and a lot of people have experienced religious trauma. A lot of people see hatred in the world. You know, please, sir, please, please let me finish talking. A lot of people see the way that the religious movement is treating um people in this country who do not fit what they think is proper, right? And they think that that's evil.
They look at at again at things that the God did in the Bible that supposedly were okay, and they look at that as being evil. And that is why they're making this judgment that God is evil.
They're cuz because they're looking at the facts that we already have.
And I realize there are a lot of good people who are Christians, but there's a lot of people who aren't.
That are Christians as well.
>> In America more than more good. You are not more >> No, I wouldn't go that far, but I definitely wouldn't go that far.
No, [snorts] I don't I don't believe that.
>> You would you really don't think that most Christians are good people in America?
>> I think that most Christians believe they're good people.
But I think that as long as they believe in the Bible, as long as they take the Bible as it word, I don't think that's good.
>> I mean that you you you are you you you you you you're taking somebody's beliefs and downgrading them. Don't Does that make you kind of racist?
>> No, because number one, a belief is not a race. I mean, that's the big That's the big [laughter] thing right there. A belief is not a race.
>> My wife My wife My wife My wife is from My wife My wife is an Iranian an Iranian immigrant.
She's been over here for 25 years.
>> Okay.
>> Okay.
And she gets mad at media right now what going on in Iran and she's full of going on in Iran and people talk people like you talk about her religion and her beliefs and not really knowing what's going on.
>> Why are Why are we over in Iran right now? What did Pete Hegseth say we're doing over >> Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on.
>> Wait, no, no, no. What did Pete Hegseth say we're doing over there? He said we're on a crusade.
We are We are literally over The guy who's in charge of the department Please don't overtalk me. I didn't say a word while you were talking. Please do not overtalk me.
The head of our Department of War has said that we are on a crusade. We are over there to stop Islam.
This is a religious war.
>> Why? And my wife is not religious at all.
>> That doesn't matter what your wife is.
It doesn't matter.
>> But she does >> It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter what one person thinks.
>> She's a She's a She's a what's going on over there. You know why?
Because people been dying over there for years.
>> So, kill more people >> tell somebody You're going to tell somebody that lived in that country.
>> And this is the kind of thing where I think religious people are bad because they think it's okay to kill more people.
>> Oh, I'm sorry.
>> This is exactly You are making my point for me.
You are making my point for me.
>> You You're making my point for you. My wife lived there. You never lived there.
How do you >> One person doesn't matter.
And people are getting killed. One way you look at it One way or another you look at it.
People are getting killed.
I don't need to be there to know that people are being killed.
>> You don't need to know anything about how horrible it is over there?
>> So, you think it's okay to kill people because some because their government is bad?
Do you think it would be okay for them to come over here and kill the Americans because they don't like the American government? No, you know what? You're You're doing it again and I'm going to If you do it one more time, I'm going to drop this call. If you keep over talking, I will drop this >> I think you're being a hypocrite. You are a hypocrite.
You are a hypocrite. You are a liar.
>> I'm going to ask you one more time to not over talk.
>> You called my wife a liar.
>> No, I didn't.
No, I didn't.
>> I never did. I said one person's opinion doesn't make a difference.
No, >> [laughter] >> you were not trying to invalidate his wife's experience. Oh gosh, that was great, huh? That's not all what you did.
What you said was true. Her experience does not make up for everybody's experience. You can't That's what I was saying. That one person's experience doesn't matter or one person's opinion doesn't matter to the world. It just doesn't. So
