[00:00:02]We've got warm temperatures, warmer than average for the time of year. Clouds and radar not showing anything in the way of storms or showers, and we won't see any of that today. We'll barely even squeeze out a passing cloud. Lorenzo and Lorenzo 360 camera, looking good. Here's downtown, way off in the distance. Clear skies to start in 60s, and even a couple of us in the upper 50s underneath.

[00:00:23]Currently sitting at 64 in Austin, 62 La Grange, upper 50s in Llano and Fredericksburg. Dew points also in the 50s and 60s. Again, the two numbers more saturated, and because we're talking about dew points on the closer end of the scale here, I would say it's borderline muggy. It gets a lot worse though moving forward. I can promise you, you'll know once those southerly winds really take hold, which happens late today into tomorrow, you're going to notice a big increase in humidity.

[00:00:49]Forecast high of 90° today underneath that sunny sky and an east-southeast wind that's fairly light. High temperatures area-wide in the upper 80s to low 90s. We should be hovering at about 86, so we'll be about 4 to 5 degrees warmer than that today across the area.

[00:01:04]Let's talk air quality, because although sunshine, light winds, sinking air under high pressure keeping out the storms is conducive for outdoor activities, unfortunately, it's also conducive for ozone formation down here at the ground where we live and breathe, where we don't want it. We want it way up high in the stratosphere block some of those harmful UV rays, but down here where we're living and breathing, unfortunately, it can cause some problems. We've got air quality alerts in place for the I-35 corridor plus Bastrop and Caldwell County. Those with heart and lung disease, respiratory issues, the elderly, the very young, we want to spend more time inside this afternoon, just because that air quality might irritate you a bit. Winds become more of an issue tomorrow. This, I think, should help. At least, uh you know, we're still probably talking about lower air quality tomorrow, but not in that unhealthy zone for for some of those sensitive groups. The gusty wind be here will be here tomorrow and again Friday and again Saturday and Sunday.

[00:01:59]They're going to be with us for the next several days. It's something we got to get used to. Here's the thing though, southerly winds that brings up a whole lot of moisture here. High humidity levels late week into the weekend. When can we get some rain? Well, high pressure is keeping the storm track to the north. It does start to shift though and eventually it actually moves off towards the east late weekend into next week. This storm won't go directly on top of us, but it gets close enough and it sets up that trough just to our west that we're going to be sitting underneath a southwest flow and that tends to create unsettled weather for us. When we see a big old high pressure system, a big old ridge on top of us or even zonal flow when the jet stream lays flat, we don't get a whole lot of weather. But it when it gets wiggly like that, we can see some weather and that's what we got next week. Sunshine today and mostly sunny tomorrow. Morning clouds, afternoon sun, gusty winds Friday and Saturday. Highs will stay in the low 90s for the next four days.

[00:02:51]Getting into the weekend, low rain chance on Sunday, but more likely to see storm chances as that high pressure moves over Monday, Tuesday. Temperatures will respond as we fall to the upper 80s. Still hot, but not quite as hot as the 90s we'll be looking at today through the start of the weekend. Erica.
