Why are the Liberals cutting off students who are seeking skills that our economy needs?

[00:00:03]Like, why are they cutting off students at vocational institutions from getting student grants? We haven't gotten any clearer credible explanation uh except the minister said at one time, well, we think public dollars should follow public institutions. Well, sorry, but the government isn't planning on on offering these kinds of programs at public institutions. If if if we're going to if we're not going to see a worsening of existing shortages uh in the skilled trades uh for certain health care uh health care uh professions uh and and in in various other areas, if we're not going to see a worsening of those shortages, uh then those grants need to remain in place, and we need to further valorize and affirm the value of of these careers. And and the only explanation I can I can think of for the actions of the government is that it comes out of this kind of elitist ivory tower uh preferencing of certain kinds of professions over others. That it that it comes out of uh profession uh prejudice.
