[00:00:00]and to having activities with their days. But, you know, there's a lack of jobs, uh, a lack of, you know, there are [snorts] people who are coming around taking care of their kids.

[00:00:19]>> People in tell you about the war. Well, [snorts] some interesting anecdotes where people what's happening now months ago on the ground from the civil [laughter] war and uh there is destruction all around when we drove for southern where uh some buildings were destroyed. These are very tightly packed urban areas buildings and commerce and you know normal things going on living against the backdrop of buildings that have been completely destroyed. So we know that the infrastructure uh is compromised in some of the buildings where life is going on as as it normally would. So I think there's a combination of huge humanitarian need. That's something we know and our teams are continually working to address uh the backdrop of substantial drops in funding. And I met with some of our partners in Beijing who had been relying on US funding uh and they lost 70% of their funding overnight when the humanitarian needs have skyrocketed. Now [snorts] for Oxfam, we do not accept US government funding so we could be an independent voice to influence policy and humanitarian practice globally. And yet our work is also significantly affected when all of the funding that the US government is pulled out while the humanitarian needs are skyrocketing.

[00:01:46]>> What would you say is the most pro humanitarian?

[00:01:50]>> I know. Well, I think a higher order need is um uh having a ceasefire that is more of a on paper only because it is very hard to uh address any other needs when you have an ongoing war. However, other other of those needs, you have a potential crisis of uh sanitation, sewage, clean water. You know, we know that in Lebanon it has been compounding crises over the years and flexion and primary need for sustainable opportunity is enormous.

[00:02:29]>> So, it's a tough uh a tough lock on the RDS on this one, but several times it did lock and actually you did see it briefly. WFT, which I believe is um the >> public radio in Florida on a 9.1.

[00:02:47]>> Uh [snorts] so, this is kind of interesting. of monkey >> to see this uh 89.1 WFT >> weird >> and uh kind of >> discover actually >> really cool to see this opening to the south. Uh earlier there was even opening some people saying that from Quebec near Montreal opening up to the west up to like Montana for example. It's pretty amazing. This is so cool and the kotisang works great in uh receiving these stations just with the telescopic.

[00:03:28]>> The detective story began in 2008 when the Lakura Foundation had their photo of an animal that was not clear at all.

[00:03:39]>> That was almost 20 years ago when a wildlife research group, the Luro Foundation, went into a remote rainforest in the Democratic Republic of Congo. But then the monkey vanished.

[00:03:51]>> Fast forward 10 years.

[00:03:52]>> In 2018, the Federation members were in that same forest and they struck gold.

[00:03:59]>> Got the clear photos. It was this group on the ground that recognized something really different. And Junior was >> Junior Junior Ambokco field conservationist from the Democratic Republic of Congo. So I think you [laughter] can tell that apart.

[00:04:14]>> But the difference we were looking at was that this one had this yellow map leaves.

[00:04:20]>> The monkey Ambokosaura resembled other smaller black and white treebased primates.
