[00:00:00]Okay, so we've got a lot going on and we have a new Fed chair today. Uh this is Trump. He says Trump tells Walsh to do quote own thing as Fed chair sworn in.

[00:00:11]It's Kevin Walsh. And the big question right now is is he going to be independent or not? Now, at least coming from Trump, he's starting to soften his language on this regard. This is from Trump. He says, "I want Kevin to be totally independent. I want him to be independent and just do a great job.

[00:00:28]Don't look at me. Don't look at anybody.

[00:00:31]Just do your own thing and do a great job. And it's actually quite interesting when you see this stuff. It has his language that means Trump has really softened. If you've been following the story, you'll know that Trump would talk uh crap basically about Federal Chair Jerome Pal non-stop, call him too late, pal, etc., and then tweet out a bunch of random crap that Trump does. Now, regarding, you know, W, this is what he's saying. This is Trump. uh Kevin will safeguard the Fed's integrity.

[00:00:58]They'll make their own decisions and hopefully make them well, but they'll be listening to Kevin all the way, right?

[00:01:05]Because again, there's been a bunch of concern. Is is this going to be just one of Trump's stooges or not? Um another quote here, unlike some of his predecessors, Kevin understands that when the economy is booming, that's a good thing. We don't have to go crazy.

[00:01:20]Let it just let it boom. We want it to boom.

[00:01:24]Um, now obviously the economy is not moving. I think you guys know this. We talk about this um daily on the on the channel just where things at. Americans are are really struggling. Uh, we're worried about inflation. We're worried about unemployment. We're worried about growth. And the Fed doesn't really have like any good options here. Uh, chances are what the markets are betting is that actually the Fed's going to raise rates.

[00:01:44]That'll probably piss off Trump. But we're going we're going to see how we react to this. Right now, you know, we're doing the ceremonies and say, "Hey, you're going to do your own thing, etc." But Trump could, you know, change his opinion on a dime. Um, take a look at what Walsh has to say today. Then my goal now is to create an environment in which the best people can do their life's best work and to face every challenge in the spirit of common purpose and devotion to the national interest. In a word, to excellence.

[00:02:45]>> So, we've got a new person in place. And with any of these things, I always say the same thing. just wish him luck and hope he does a good job. And I always reserve opinion on this stuff until we see what happens. And I think that's the fair thing to say. Um, but the Fed's in a tight spot. The economy is bad and people are struggling. I think you guys know. And the Fed comes in a time when this is happening. Inflation angst spreads as rising gas bills spook consumers. Uh, this was from Bloomberg today and basically they went through various companies and it's all kind of the same message. Consumers are are spread too thin. gas prices are too high and people are making cuts to other things that that they need and it's and it's hard to make the decision because it's like I need gas to get to work and and do other things, but I also obviously need food. I got to pay my bills and such and the the math doesn't add up. Basically, people are underwater and companies can see it and you know how honestly this can't go on much longer. Um, as we talked about before, July is really a sticking point. Uh, as we'll see, and we're already in May, almost almost June. Um, and this comes a time, too, when like Trump's own people are stepping down. So, this is Tulsi Gabbard. You're going to read different things on, you know, is she forced out?

[00:03:58]Does she uh just resign on her own accord? Is it her husband's health problems? I I'll just say this, it could be all three. There's a could be all three, right? Um the the thing I I personally don't really like about Tulsi, I I think she sort of fits in the camp is the JD Vance type of person.

[00:04:16]She's not stupid. Okay. Um they're just opportunists. If if they feel like they can advance their career, maybe she wants to make another run for president or whatever. She know she she ran before. Um she'll say whatever, do do whatever. Uh to be fair though, um at least, you know, she wasn't necessarily fully on board with the stuff in in Iran. She wasn't included in a lot of things. It doesn't mean that like you know rah rah cheer cheer because you could actually come out and and be very public about opposing Trump opposing just not necessarily addressing Iran a war and then just step down. So that's what she's doing. But yeah, I I just people ask what's my opinion of her?

[00:04:52]It's I see her as a political opportunist like just like Vance essentially. But she's out. So this is also going on in Fox News today. They're showing this and I always show you guys this stuff every now and then. Um, Fox has a, you know, various story of the day that kind of captures our our just whacked out world. And I guess there's this guy and he's got like a Barbie car and um, it gets better gas gas mileage and apparently his 1996 Mercedes Benz, which he says typically cost $90 to fill. So now you're out in your little Barbie mobile u, which gets 35 miles per gallon. And it's actually really funny because, you know, for Fox and and Americans, this is kind of a joke, right? That he has to drive this around because of mileage, but practically speaking, this is what we should have been doing all along. Not necessarily driving Barbie vehicles per se, but driving things that are efficient, right? It's better for the environment.

[00:05:46]It's better for your wallet. It's better for everyone. Now, what's interesting, and as again, this is on Fox, they're showing this. Um, we're actually in Italy uh this week and today I took this picture. I saw a whole bunch of these cars. I had actually never seen these before. Uh, I think it's called the Ammy like friend in French. And you can see here the um teal one. It can actually park uh what I wear sideways I guess when everyone else is parking parallel.

[00:06:10]You guys can see the picture right there. There's another angle of it. Um, and it's like the funniest thing. I had never occurred to me that a car could park in that direction. Um, and and for, you know, many city, you know, dwellers, this is like the perfect vehicle. It's basically a golf cart, essentially what it boils down to. Um, I again, I've never seen this before. If you're in Europe, I'd like to hear your thoughts.

[00:06:30]Uh, how many do you see on the road? I'm I'm saying here in Italy, we've seen them everywhere. It's it's crazy. Uh, it's called the Citrogen Ammy. It's a two-door battery electric quad quadricycle that we're calling it.

[00:06:41]Marketed by a French brand, Citroen. Uh, so I had not heard of this stuff before, but this is a very different way to think about transportation is that it doesn't have to be like anything fancy.

[00:06:52]Basically, for Americans, what they do, they try to convince you that your car is your identity and then therefore you, you know, have to buy the car that matches you. So for some people, they really need a monster vehicle or really fast vehicle, etc. Um, it's a different point of view if you think of a car as like, you know what, I just need to get get me from point A to point B. Uh and in my opinion um if you can even even avoid that if you possible just don't have a car take do you know public transit this kind of stuff that would be even better better for the environment better for for your wallet and all around and this would be the interesting thing like would something like this ever work in America to be put out cars that are affordable efficient and I think this thing is cute but we'll just say not like a turbocharged thing but it's a different way to to to think about stuff um because like right Now we're looking at what's going on in the Middle East and it's just like much of our lives are tied to the to to cost of this stuff, right? Cost of the price of of of oil, what's going on with the Hermu strait and Trump and you know Netanyah are considering attacking again but other countries are like just cut it out. And then speaking of the Middle East, this is also what's going on. UAE joins Saudis Katar in urging Trump to not res to restart the war. Uh basically everyone's suffering right now. And what's frustrating about this stuff and and saying, "Hey, Trump, instead of not restarting the war where we're stuck in this limbo, why don't you just tell them to like get out like like just just get out, you know?" Um Pakistan is uh I guess in Iran right now, says Pakistan army chief travels to Thyran and push for US Iran deal. Um it seems like we're closer than we uh have been in terms of getting something done, but we're still not there. And even if the horn rate were to open up today, it's not going to go back to normal. And it's still going to take months, if not well over a year to get prices down, if they ever come down. And I I'll just be frank with you guys. I think a lot of people feel the same is like once prices get up to a certain level, they get consumers used to paying that sort of price and then that's what it's going to end up being.

[00:08:59]Um that's sort of what's going on there.

[00:09:01]And then you got Trump just screwing with uh immigration policy. Now, now this is actually would be a major change for many people. Um, if you're going to apply for a green card, they basically want you to go back to your home country. Uh, or home is not the right word to say well to say, um, or a country of origin, I guess you could call it. New rule requires most green card applicants to apply from outside the US.

[00:09:26]Some situations this would be impossible for for some people. So, if you guys don't know my situation, just for example, um I lost my family in the Vietnam War and I grew up in the USA.

[00:09:36]And so, if you were to force people uh like myself just for example and say, "Oh, you have to go back to Vietnam if you want to have any change of status, it just it wouldn't be wouldn't be feasible at all." And so, not only would it would have this new rule change would have affected someone like like myself, it could affect a lot of people that um you want to have in the USA. And I understand immigration is a touch issue right now and you have people in the Trumpers that just say I don't want any you know new people or whatever but you know think about someone who marries someone from another another country right so you may actually have a family member that married someone from some somewhere else or think about um various jobs be it professors or scientists or any number of things that really help the economy like if if you put all these rules into place basically you're you're chasing away people long story short and sort of that's where we're at right now and I mean It's not surprising that they put this kind of stuff in the place, but it's funny when you know what what Trump people are doing. And then you got stuff like this. It's just a clown show non-stop. Trump skipping a wedding of son Donald Jr. to Bentina Anderson. So basically, Donnie Junior's getting married. Uh is, you know, Don Senior going to go or not? I frankly don't care. I'm just telling you what it is.

[00:10:50]And I'm sure there'll be a lot of channels that have like this whole, you know, half hour video talking about whether or not he should go to the kids' wedding. Um, these kind of people, they get married, they get divorced, they get married, divorced all the time. So, you know, wait, wait another couple of years and I'm sure uh Trump Senior will get a chance to go to uh to another wedding.
