FIRST Tech Challenge DECODE 2025-2026 - New England Premier Event - Crock Division Day 1Hinzugefügt:
over there at this time. We want the teams seated in their respective sections bleachers for opening ceremonies. This should help facilitate queuing for our first matches of the day.
I love to change the world.
Heat.
Heat.
Good morning, New England.
Oo, I like that early morning energy.
Welcome to the 2026 First Tech Challenge New England Premiere event. This is the first premiere event for the season of Decode presented by RTX, part of the season of First Age presented by Qualcomm.
First is a global robotics community preparing young people for the future.
They engage students in grades preK through grade 12 in our suite of STEM programs. The first Lego League, First Robotics Competition, and of course, the First Tech Challenge. This started in 2005, and we have grown to more than 8,000 teams spanning 55 countries. By joining us today, you are part of this movement. All of you are helping make this program possible for the next generation. We are in for a fun weekend. I can't wait to see how everything comes together for our 55 competing teams here in New England. You have been working so hard to design and build your robots for this year's challenge of decode.
We'd like to take a moment to give a huge shout out to our season sponsor, RTX, who will hear who we will hear from tomorrow morning. Thank you, RTX, for your continued support of the First Tech Challenge this season. Let's hear some applause for RTX.
We would also like to recognize our partners at BAE Systems, uh, presenting sponsor for the New England District Championship happening just across the way. For all of the resources and support they have provided to make this and other events possible, they've put together a short video for you to enjoy.
Let's check it out on the screen right now. Imagine a world without direction.
A place where destinations cannot be traversed.
And exploring beyond our boundaries is no longer achievable.
But you are the next generation of problem solvers, ensuring this doesn't become reality. To lead the world and sustain the future of innovation, we need more dreamers and creators like you. For decades, BAE Systems and FIRST have worked together to inspire the next generation of STEM innovators, ensuring you have the opportunity to explore, learn, and achieve to develop unique problem solving skills, building the confidence to make the impossible possible. You are the key to bringing all this to life, developing technology that hasn't even been dreamed of yet.
Together, we're cultivating the future and building a world that you believe in.
Thanks again, of course, to BAE systems.
There is one thing I would like to remind all of our students in attendance here today. Being a part of the first robotics family does not have to end when you graduate. As alumni, you will always have a place in this community.
With opportunities to volunteer, make new friends, and connect with professionals, you will help keep shaping the future. In fact, volunteering at events such as this one is a great way to stay involved after high school. I want to take a moment to recognize the first alumni who are here today giving back as volunteers and mentors. Would our first alumni please stand and wave so our students can thank you properly.
You can learn more about all of the ways to make most of your first experience at first inspires.org/alumni.
Once again, for some of you, decode may be your final season as a student in first. For those of you in your final year of high school, you're about to become first alumni. and we can't wait to see how you will stay connected with us in the future. Would all of our graduating seniors please rise and be recognized for your efforts at this time?
To help you on the next steps in your journey, you can visit the alumni table next to PIT admin to collect your alumni handbook full of information and tips on leveraging your first experience on your career journey. In fact, if you are also graduating this year, please join us in the future to take a first alumni group photo here on the Martin division. We'll have more possible information on that later. And now I want to take another moment to recognize and thank all of the parents, coaches, mentors, and volunteers who helped make this event possible. Students, make it loud for everyone who has supported you on your journey here today.
Now, at this time, I would like to invite the New England Premier Event Planning Committee up here at this time as we have a special award to give out to recognize one such individual to run the New England Premier event takes the dedication of a truly remarkable community. In addition to more than 120 volunteers working on site, it requires a small army of committed individuals who plan and coordinate the event year round. Today, we are proud to recognize one of those individuals whose contributions have been essential to making this event possible. From leading planning committee meetings to coordinating logistics, overseeing setup, managing team communications, and so much more, this volunteer has made an impact on nearly every aspect of the event. His dedication ensures that every team has an incredible and memorable experience.
Beyond his work here, he volunteers at every level of first and mentors first tech challenge teams, giving back to the very program that once inspired him. He also volunteers across nearly every First Tech Challenge region in New England. Most recently, he was named the co-program delivery partner for Rhode Island, where he helps ensure that teams across the state have an outstanding event experience.
With nine years of service and more than 80 events under his belt, his commitment to the first check challenge and broader first community is felt throughout the region. Please join me in congratulating the 2026 New England Premier Event Volunteer Award recipient, our event co-chair, Tom Rishworth.
Thank you and again and congratulations Tom. Now, before we dig into our matches today, we want to welcome a special guest. The guest who this very division is named for. Please welcome Alex Martin.
>> Thank you. Good morning, everybody. It's so nice to be here today on the Martin Field and also kind of surreal. Um, and I'm so excited to join you to celebrate your hard work so far this year. So, I've already talked to a couple of you.
Um, but for everybody else, um, I'm the archaeologist at Strawberry Bank Museum in Portsouth, New Hampshire. Um, where we use belongings left behind by people who lived in a waterfront neighborhood to help tell the stories of their lives.
Next week, we're opening a newly restored house on the museum grounds for the first time in 30 years. The home of the Cousins family in the 1930s.
Three seasons of archaeological excavations at this house site help provide evidence of the products the cousins family purchased, the food they ate, and the activities they enjoyed.
I originally got into archaeology through an extracurricular activity when I was in middle school. Then I returned to my home state to do archaeological research. And what excites me so much about archaeology is that our discoveries and the artifacts you find um can help give ancient history modern significance.
People of the past probably didn't think that much about the stuff they threw away, but when I get to hold a stone tool made 10,000 years ago, a buckle from a colonial shoe, or a kids toy from the early 20th century, I feel connected to those people and their stories.
I was so excited to hear that students were focusing on archaeological problems this season through first. At first, I was a little surprised because I don't think of the work I do as particularly high-tech, but I worked with a lot of teams, especially in the first Lego League this season and realized that first can actually help our study of the past connect to modern times. So, I invite all of you to keep archaeology in mind when this season of first ends. How can the thrill of discovery motivate you in the future? How can you use technology and specialized tools in new and creative ways? And how can we best translate the work that we each find exciting so that we can excite those around us. So, thanks to all of you for digging in this year and good luck today.
Thank you, Alex Martin. And we ask that you don't go anywhere just yet. As a special thank you from the district here at New England, First, we have a lovely gift for you to take home with you as a reminder of your experience and your thanks for helping support well, half our competition here today.
>> Thank you so much, Now, this is the point where we want to recognize the volunteers who helped make this event happen. Once again, I would like to introduce our planning committee led by event directors Rob Cormier and Tom Rishworth. Where did our planning committee members please wave? They were just up here a second ago. So, can we hear some noise for this committee?
They have been working tirelessly since December to ensure each and every team has a premier level experience.
We cannot thank them enough. Next, I'd like to introduce you to our first technical advisors, our FTA, led by Danny Diaz and Jacob Jansen, supported by Miriam Cinten, Remis, and Zack Herell.
These are the technical volunteers that know the ins and outs of the robot control system we use to run this competition and are key to keeping this event running smoothly. They ensure your robots are running properly. Thank you once again to our FTAs.
Next up, of course, is our robot inspectors, led by lead inspector Steve Goyette.
The inspectors have been keeping us on schedule since last night, making sure each and every robot is ready to compete today. our inspectors. Thank you all for your cooperation and we'd like to thank our inspectors with that giving them a round of applause.
And finally, I would like to introduce our gameplay experts, our referees led by he head referees Lineia Carroll, Mike Dailyaly, Laurel Haim, and Evan Rate.
They have the difficult job of ensuring everyone is playing by the rules. As in all sports, their rulings are final and there will be no reruns or video replays. Please help us stick to our schedule by respecting their decisions and directing questions to the appropriate question box which are located just behind each competition field.
This is how today is going to roll out.
In a few moments, we will start our qualifications here for the Martin division while Croc takes a little breather and goes to lunch. At 12:30, Martin and Croc will swap places. Martin will go to lunch and Croc will start their qualification rounds and we will play qualifi qualification matches until approximately 6 pm tonight. and we'll be right back here tomorrow to finish our qualifiers for both divisions to begin their playoffs. Now, once again, I would like to welcome up event director Tom Rishworth to explain a few safety notes.
Good morning, everybody. First of all, congratulations on making it to the 2026 New England Premier Event. Give yourselves a round of applause.
Before we start today, I just wanted to go over a couple of safety reminders. Uh, and I want everybody to take a moment to be mindful about safety today and throughout the day today and tomorrow.
Uh, really quickly, I want to draw attention to the emergency exits that are located along the back wall uh of the entire venue. Uh if you hear an a fire alarm, please make sure that you're evacuating to your nearest emergency exit and make a plan with your team about what you'll do and where you'll regroup in case of an emergency. Uh in case of a fire, there are fire extinguishers located on every pole that has a red paint band around it. Uh and we do have a fire extinguisher at Pit Admin as well. Uh we do have a first aid station at Pit Admin and we do have emergency medical services here on site.
Uh if there are any uh medical emergencies anywhere, please make sure that you find uh myself or Rob or anybody with a walkie-talkie so we can make sure that the proper emergency services are notified.
Keeping us safe is everyone's responsibility. So over the course of the event, please help us keep walkways and exits clear. And if you see something unsafe, please correct the issue immediately or ask PIT admin or any volunteer with a walkie-talkie for help. In addition to physical safety, I also want to talk a little bit about emotional and psychological safety.
Everyone here deserves to have a safe, nurturing, and fun experience. We are a community who looks out for each other.
So, if you see someone who might be struggling, please check in with them and see how you can help. Thank you for helping us keep this event a safe and enjoyable experience for all. And again, congratulations on advancing to the 2026 New England Premiere event.
Now, one final note before we begin our qualification matches. I invite everyone on both divisions to please rise for the singing of our national anthem as performed by Jaden Eban and Henry of Team 16542, the Cyber Engineers of Fairbanks, Alaska.
Oh, say can you see by the dawn early light so proudly we held at the twilight last gleaming whose bright stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight or the we were so gallently streaming and the rockets.
The balls bursting in air gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
Oh, say does that star spangled banner and wave for the land of the free and the home of the brave.
Okay, teams. Who's ready to play some decode?
>> It's time to get started. Teams in the first match, take your places on the field. And we will start the day with match number one here on the Martin field. Manaf is going to get things rolling over on crack.

Robots loaded up and ready to classify these artifacts.
Lining up. Oh, big shots on the blue side. Couple on the red not hitting their mark. That blue ramp is almost full and they've let it go.

30 seconds left to go in the match.
We're getting right down to the end game. Still taking some shots. Now's a good time to fill up that ramp if you can. You want to get those classification points if you can at the end. Also need to park if you can. Whoa.
Little bit of pushing and shoving. Get out of my way, they say.
Looks like Romo Boogie is going to going to park themselves on their spot. 24467 is going to follow up. Oh, last shots there.
And what a great match that was.
We're going to add up this score and we're going to get to those results in just a moment.

>> Contact in the middle between Raybots and Team Max.
Team Max scoring from the far zone.

Raybot sends the balls into the goal while their gate opens, releasing a couple classified artifacts.
Both robot, all four robots are currently pushing each other, trying to prevent anyone from being able to get a good shot into the goal. The Blue Alliance is doing a phenomenal job playing defense on their opponents as they take the lead. They make up that 12point difference from Otto and they are now three points in the lead.

Here at the New England Premier Event this year, we're going to do something a little special.
>> It's awesome. Awesome. You notice over here on a long table next to the trophies, we've got some little knickknacks that represent the states of the New England region. And so we are coming upon match number five as our first state match. The winner of match number five gets to go home with some Connecticut made candy. This is a state who thought of taking hard candy and putting it on a stick to make a lollipop. Not only that, they are the home of the Pez dispenser.
>> Yeah, sure, the candy was already invented, but having it eject from the throne of a plastic character, you could say, is pure Connecticut ingenuity. So, the winner of match number five will be going home with some sweet treats from the Nutmeg State. But first, let's see who these potential winners are. On the Red Alliance, we have 12589.
>> That's Pioneer Robotics from Schwisbury, Massachusetts.
>> Their partners, it's 25718.
>> Control Z from Ashlin, Massachusetts.
over on the blue alliance with an appropriate name. It's 21616 >> Blue Potato Lobsters from Burwick Maine and they've got an amazing rookie team as their partner. It's 30537.
>> It's Team Cube from Nasha, New Hampshire.
All right, we've got the motif. It's purple, purple, green. So, we want to see that pattern if we can on the ramp.
>> We've got our motif set. The robots are ready. We'll start the match with the drivers in the lines. 3 2 1 go.
>> Off and running. All four robots.
Converging onto the middle of the field and big shots taken on the red side.
Couple on the blue side. 30537.
That's Cube putting in a couple. And now it looks like we're going to park or we're going to try to pick up some more.
Oh, I think everybody's happy where they are. We've got four incredible robots getting ready to go in this match.
>> Drivers, pick up your controllers.
>> Three, two, one.
off and running.
>> Oh wow, big shots. Two out of three.
Ain't bad right there from one, two, five, eight, nine.
>> Big shots from the penguin right there.
And they're meeting over here. We've got >> the Whoa! Blue potato lobster. And they've got their great triple. They've got a triple threat right there with Oh, holy cow.
>> Three big shots from the uh from the lobster.
>> Penguin putting up some more. Oh, three big ones. 1, two, five, eight, nine on the red side. They are.
>> They're kicking them over on the blue side as well. We've got the blue ramp almost filled up.
>> Three, four more go in on the red.
Keeping it moving. Keeping it grooving.
Two out of three for the Blue Potato Lobsters.
Bam. Big shot. Red's got quite a sizable lead so far, but blue is trying to close the deficit here. They've got some classification still to be done. Oh, shots going all over the place. Leaving the >> the field and looks like we're come down right to the last part of the teleop going into the doing the final stage here. Are they going to shoot or are they going to park and uh perhaps even climb? We'll see.
12589 looks a little disabled at the moment. So, they're going to get some more shots here on the red side. And it looks like they're going to put themselves in in three, two, one. That's the end of the match.
Why as we await the scorer posted of match five, remember this is our first of many state sponsored matches. So again, the winning alliance will be going home with some Connecticut made candy. And we also ask that you follow one of our event directors, Rob Cormier, as you can take a picture with your well-earned prize.
>> Absolutely. And this is a great one, too. Look at what Connecticut has brought us.
>> Oh, yeah. Wo. Like these red and purple T-Rex lollipops.
>> Nice.
>> Oh, these are very colorful. I wonder what candy company made these. And uh several >> several meases. I see an Iron Man in there.
>> There's uh I think it's Marvel and Star Wars.
>> D2. Nice.
>> Yeah, I'm impressed. This is great.
You know, I wouldn't be surprised if if other states catch on to this, you know.
I think we're going to look at this where I'm from for sure. This is so very cool.
I am.
>> All right, looks like we're good to go.
Let's see that final score.
Who's taking home the Connecticut candy?
It's the Red Alliance. They're very excited. 169 points, three ranking points, and the Connecticut Candy is what they're going to be taking home today.

All four robots are moving in autonomous as the blue alliance quickly puts up six artifacts and manages to score five of them. Team surface appears to be attempting to open their gate but not having luck.
Laser from the far zone gets it while the red alliance robots collide in their autonomous. There's not much they can do except stop the autonomous program and wait for Drivers, pick up your controllers.
>> 3 2 1 >> and the Blue Alliance takes a 17-point lead going into our teleyoperative period. However, last match on this field, the team that won autonomous did not end up winning the match. So, we'll see what the red Alliance is able to do.
Team Sonic Bots pushes cyber engineers while they're trying to shoot as our FTA gets hit by a ball from Team Surface.
Laser intakes from their human player zone, copying Team Sonic bots as the Blue Alliance puts another six artifacts in the Gulf. The Red Alliance is a full classifier and laser and laser is attempting to Cyber Engineers appears to be attempting to shoot some overflow while their teammates Laser appears to attempt to open their classifier. They managed to get a few balls out, but they still have six balls stuck in there.
Two more balls from Team Surface, followed by another three, giving their team an additional 15 points.
Surface shoots outside their launch zone. However, they can >> make up for it with another nine artifacts. Cyber Engineers appears to be a little stuck, but then they quickly get moving again.
The blue lines fills up their classifier before immediately emptying it once again. Such a radical break.
>> 30 seconds to go in our match. All four teams still trying to pull ahead. The Blue Lions has increased their lead to almost 200 points. There's a number plate. It falls off team surface, but it does not slow down in the slightest as they score two additional classwide artifacts.
>> Team Laser rushes into their base zone, >> and Team Sonic, bots, and surface do the same.
team laser attempts to shoot.
>> Psychedelic experimentation sort of confirms this intuition. I mean, >> we're going to do a bit of a scheduling update here as we let the refs tabulate and log in the scores. We're going to immediately move back over to field number one for qualification match number seven, the next four teams.
>> Awesome. Let's keep it moving.
ready to compete. Over here on the Red Alliance, we have 23256.
>> It's the Yakub Boss from Long Meadow, Massachusetts.
>> And their neighbors, it's 24256.
>> Ark Sandstorm from Andover, Massachusetts.
>> Our Blue Alliance starts off with a team on the other side of the country. It's 3526.
Merlbotss from Los Angeles, California.
And we're going to bring it all the way back to the Northeast with their partner 22762, >> the St. Raybots from Pucket, Rhode Island. who has been to the internet.

>> All right, thumbs up from the referees.
Thumbs up from the scoring table. Match seven will begin with the drivers in the line. 3 2 1 go.
>> The robots are moving without any controllers. Ah, >> and they're shooting.
>> Artifacts into the ramp.
>> They shot three. They unloaded three on the red side and on the blue side as well.
Load them up and let them go.
>> They're keep on rolling.
>> 2 325 six the Yakubots. They've got a heck of an autonomous here.
>> That's a couple more.
>> Big autos for both sides.
>> And that's going to set us up really well. Our teley operated portion of this match.
>> The beginning of time souls. Three, two, one.
>> They are off and running.
>> Open up that ramp on the red side.
>> They're going to be putting on some more, filling it up. And they don't want an overflow. They want to keep them moving. Keep on classifying as they say.
Opening up on the blue side as well.
Those yucky bots. Feeling a little bit of calamari shooting them in and letting them go.
>> Big shots from their partners.
>> The arc stands and oh, big shots from the back there.
>> 3526 Marobots have a big arcing shot that is hitting its mark. That ramp is filled up on the blue side. They quickly go over and empty it out.
>> Trying to fill it up as fast as possible. Keep it moving. Keep it grooving.
>> We are trying to classify as many artifacts as we can. Two out of three on the red side.
>> Looks like the St. Rabots might be down.
It's Oh, their batteries are on the floor. That is a tough way to be. So, looks like it's going to be a twoon-one match for the rest of the go here.
through a synergy between >> Marlobots taking some big shots >> from the back trying to fill up that ramp once again.
>> The calamari over here. The Yakubots >> taking some more shots. Filling up that >> looks like they've got >> and we're down to the last 20 seconds of the match. Are they going to park? Are they going to shoot? Are they going to do it all?
>> Yakbots taking some more shots with their partners, Arc Sandstorm and the Marlots trying to keep track. Looks like we got some overflow there as we countd down. And that's the end of the match.
We got a high-scoring one here and we're going to have the theology >> match final score in just a moment.
see the results of match number six.
And your winner of qualification number six is the Blue Alliance with a new event high score of 263 and zero penalties, bringing home five ranking points, but falling slightly short of the pattern. This puts them in first and second place, respectively.
There's your New England benchmark teams as we move on to qualification match number eight. I think just about everyone has played a match so far today. So, it's time to start our second round of qualification matches at the New England Premiere event. Our Red Alliance starts off with 5484 >> from Corning, New York, the Enderbot.
>> And their claws are sharpened for the win. It's 30392.
>> Lion Spark from Kenowick.
Waddling in on the Blue Alliance. It's 18978.
>> Semi-platinum Penguins from Xavier High School and their fellow kinetician of 24467 >> from Dirham Robo Demon that hopefully will be strong enough then to carry the vision out into the mainstream of society. I think the youth culture that is emerging in the '9s is an end of the millennium culture that is actually summing up uh western civilization and pointing us in an entirely different direction that we're going to arrive in the third millennium in the middle of an archaic revival which will mean a revival of these physiologically empowering signatures, uh, a new art, a new social vision, a new relationship to nature, to feminism, to ego. All of these things are >> just so you know.
>> That's the thumbs up we've been looking for from our head referee, from our scoring table. Match eight begins with the drivers in the lines. 3 2 1 go.
Again, we have all four robots shooting into their goals to start our autonomous period. The Enderbots trying to get off the leave line while their teammates Lion Spark goes for the second spike mark. All four teams are looking for their first win in this tournament. And this autonomous period, getting ahead early is incredibly important.
and the Blue Alliance. It's tied up 2727 with two seconds to go. A semi platinum penguin scores artifact >> 3 2 1 off into our teley off period. It's tied at 38 238. It's as close as it can get as we clear the red alliance gate gets stuck and lion spark and their bots firing it from the far zone. Red Alliance gets their classifier open and allows themselves to score additional classified artifacts from the enderbots firing into the back of their goal.
Blue Lines to get something going as semi-platinum Penguins takes two shots of the goal.
Robo Demon's first shot goes wide, but they managed to adjust and their second and third enter the top of the goal.
30 points separate our teams as Lion Spark putting more balls into the air.
The Enderbots firing at incredibly high speed from far right into their backboard with one minute to go in the match.
Enderbots again, three balls into the goal, followed by their teammate, Lion Spar Lions trying to get something going from the far zone. Robo Demons shoots one up, but it goes wide, but their second manages to s get in.
Lion Spark.
25 seconds left to go. The Red Alliance has 135 to 80. However, the refs are wildly calling fouls, so this will be anyone's match.
Calls to rush into the park zones are heard as there is contact in the base zone. 5 seconds left. All four teams attempt to get a park. Blue lines goes for a full impartial.
That concludes match number eight. Hey Scott, I think we need to see the results of match number seven.
>> I think we do too. Let's see those results. This is match number seven. I think we got a big score coming up. It's the Red Alliance.
225 to 178. Those are some big scores.
Did not break the record, but that's okay. Four ranking points going to the Red Alliance. One ranking point goes to the blue. Great job all around.
Okay, Martin division match number nine is going to be our final match before we take our lunch break.
>> It sure is.
>> Are you hungry?
>> One more match to play. Not only is it leading up to our lunch break, we've got another state match to play here on Fail number one. Match number nine honors an event that helped spark the American Revolution, the Boston Tea Party.
>> So, the team that wins this match will be taking home a couple boxes of a uh Kelty British blend premium black tea.
>> Why do we succeed here in New England? I think it's because we commit. C O M I T Hey, >> very nice. Very nice. Uh, >> well, let's uh let's announce the teams for this one. What do you say?
>> Yes.
>> For our for our Boston Tea Party match, >> we're all hungry. So, on the Red Alliance, blazing the trail, it's 18813.
>> That's the Full Metal Phoenixes from Middletown, Connecticut.
Out of the shadows, it is their partner 16391.
>> Oh yeah. The rising ninjas from Plantation, Florida on the Blue Alliance taking things to the maximum. It's 32137.
>> This is team Max 2 from Wal, Connecticut.
>> And a simple but effective keystroke 25718.
Type control Z in Ashland, Massachusetts.
Time for you twe See what you think your dreams enter this world of imagination.
All right, we're almost there. Just just getting a few things dialed in.
How we doing over here, Rising Ninjas?
We're doing well. Oh, doing well. Are you hungry?
>> We're probably going to be working over lunch.
>> I'm hungry.
>> You're hungry for robots is what they are. Yeah. Hungry for robots. I like that.
>> You know, as we await our final team to get connected, we actually have the results of match number eight. Ready to post. and swallow all these tears. But time can >> congratulations to the Red Alliance with a score of 178 to 136. and coming home with four ranking points.
>> My rules for living. There's no more words to say. Just someday I'll be forgiven.
But I lost my wounds.
my rules.
There's no words to say just for know why I suspicions All right, we've got our motif. It's purple, green, purple. We want to see a lot of purple, green, purple because that is worth extra points.
The obelisk has spoken. The >> scoring table is set. The obelisk has been randomized.
I think we're ready to play our final match before lunch. Drivers in your lines. 3 2 1 go.
>> Off and running. This is going to be a threeon- two match. It looks like Rising Ninjas take some some opening shots and opening up the gate as well. Looks like Well, we can do a better pattern than that. Look at that. One, two, three.
Looks like they have the pattern. And they're going to sit. Oh, and they're going to put four, five, six. Grabbing some more. Those rising ninjas, they want to get going here. Couple more seconds left. Oh, one of them goes through the uh >> drivers. Pick up your controllers.
>> That's a pretty solid autonomous there for the Red Alliance. Blue Alliance has got a little work to do, but they are very capable of catching up. We'll see how this goes.
>> Rising Ninjas open up the red gate. And on the blue side, we got some shots going. Control Z taking some shots and starting to fill up their ramp on their side.
On the red side, we've got control Z and the Rising Ninjas.
Let a couple out and putting some more up. And it looks like they're going to open up their ramp and they're going to swallow up those those shots pretty quickly and put some more in. They got a really good thing going here. The rising ninjas have a plan and they are executing. Control Z is trying to keep pace on the blue side.
>> Full Metal Phoenixes getting loaded up and trying to take some shots as well. for those rising ninjas picking them up and putting them down.
Good shots there from Full Metal Phoenix's and Control Z putting some up and Red has opened up quite a lead here with 45 seconds left in the match. Red continues to pour it on, classifying artifact after artifact.
It's getting a little little crazy in the middle there. Teams are coming together for meetings. Oh, we've got the clash of metal. Always a fine fine thing to hear. 20 seconds left in the match. They're going to decide, are they going to shoot or are they going to go and park? But I think they've got still some appetite for some parking. Move out of the way, says control Z. I've got some shooting to do. I want to fill up that ramp before we run out of time. In 5 4 3 2 1, that's the end of the match.
Give him a big round of applause.
Tonight, be aware this is our second state sponsored match. Prize for the winner is the boxes of black tea.
The winner >> can accompany up Meline down to our New England backdrop for a photo with your prize. Absolutely.
You're going to be the first Boston Tea Party tea winner here at the New England Premiere event.
I mean, that's worth bragging rights as well as worth the te for sure.
We're going to get this score in just a moment.
Just a few more calculations. So much classification went on. So much pattern recognition has to be done. We're almost there.
All right, let's get that final score. I know everybody's hungry for lunch. Perhaps a few folks have already had it out there.
So, here is the score of the match. The winner, the Red Alliance, 173 to 92, the Red Alliance taking home four rank points and is going to have a Boston Tea Party.
Congratulations to both of our alliances and we will see you all soon after lunch. Thank you so much.

Hey Good afternoon, robot fans. Welcome back to the New England Premier Event Martin Division. We just got back from our lunch break and now it's time to finish up the day with a heaping helping of qualification matches. We're going to kick things where we left off with match number 10.
Kickoff on our right alliance making sure every piece of hardware is nice and tight on their robot. It's 31567 >> nuts and bolts.
>> Their partners currently ranked fourth.
It's 23256 >> from Long Meadow Yakub Bots.
>> And we got a couple amazing teams ready to respond in the blue alliance. We have 58.99 >> laser >> and uh uh doth mine eyes deceive me. A robot made of wood. Indeed. It is 21616 >> with the robot Bobbster 3.0. It's the blue potato lobsters.
window.
>> We have got a thumbs up from our head ref and our scoring table. The robots are ready to roll. Drivers in your lines. Three, two, one, go.
>> And all four of our robots immediately rush to score into their at the start of autonomous.
The red Alliance scores three before clearing their classifier while the blue alliance appears to be a bit stuck.
Blue alliance is clawing their way back, but Yakybots has increased their lead to six and is attempting to increase it by nine more with three additional artifacts in their classifier.
Laser goes for two more and they make them. But >> Yakubots attempts to >> pick up your controllers.
>> 3 2 1 and into our autonomous period. The Blue Alliance robots have a collision right off the bat while Nuts and Bolts opens their gate.
Both pool lines robots attempting to intake from their human player while the Red Alliance bots are trying to score for balls that are strewn across the field.
The Red Alliance has a 30 40 point 50point lead as we have a minute and a half left in this match.
The red light, the triple catapults of the blue potato lobsters loading in their human player zone.
Nuts and bolts trying to keep Blue Potato Bots out of the launch zone, but Blue Potato Bots at the exact same time sends all three of their artifacts.
Yakubots.
Yakubots with another three classified artifacts while they try to intake off of their gate to cut down on those cycle times.
There's heavy contact going on in the middle of our field while both teams are trying to score. The Red Alliance crosses the 200 point barrier with 30 seconds left to go in the match. The division high score is 263.
Just a few more classified artifacts and they will break it.
Blue Alliance trying to get to the the ranking point for artifacts before the end of this match. 10 seconds to go.
Yakubots in the middle trying for a full park. their teammate nuts and molds trying for the partial. Blue lines the same. Laser attempting to get full.
We'll see how it gets scored at the end of this match.
We're going to keep things moving down back to field number one. It is time for qualification match number 11.
>> Yeah, it is. These competitors have been patiently waiting after their lunch break. Let's meet the teams. Our Red Alliance has got a fantastic rookie in 30537.
>> This is Nashville, New Hampshire's own Cube with a K. Over on the other side is their partner 13270.
>> From Owensville's, Maryland, it's the electric slide.
Our blue alliance has got 5115.
Windsor, Colorado, Nova and their partner, they're currently ranked number one. It's 22 345. Exiters New Hampshire surface.
All right, it looks like we randomized.
Purple, purple, green.
The obelisk has spoken. Long live the obelisk.
Did it change? Oh, that's Oh. Oh, we just did it. That was last match. Ah, let's make sure we get the right one.
Green.
All right. The obelisk has resp purple purple will be the pattern that we are going to go for.
There we go.
Cube Electric Slide Nova and Surface.
There it is. Green, purple, purple is the pattern.
This match number 11.
All is set on field number one. They had to get wake up a little bit from our lunch break, but we'll start the match with the drivers in their lines. 3 2 1 go.
They're off. They're running. They are all full of fuel from this lunch break.
Surface just opened up their gate and put three more in and are going to keep the gate open while they shuttle out and put two more in and push those through. Are they going to grab some more? Oh, push two more in.
And there's three more.
Wow.
drivers, pick up your colors.
>> That was a very tidy uh autonomous right there by Serpent setting the standard here. 61 points.
>> 3 2 1 >> Blue's got a sizable lead, but Red is going to try to fire back. We've got a lot of good robots in this match.
Electric Slide opens up their gate and releases a few. We got a meeting in the middle here.
Little bit of a battle.
Nova with some shots. Surface taking some shots as well.
And on the red side, we're we're starting to fill up, but blue is releasing. Surface is saying, "Hey, let's empty that out so we can put a few more in to classify.
Picking up those artifacts." Electric slide from downtown. Put them in.
Score them.
Nova up close taking some shots. And electric slide electrically sliding all over the field. They're going to open up their gate and reset so they can put in some more to classify. Big shots from downtown Surface leading the way there.
That's another three more and they are all full and they're going to open up their gate so they can classify some more. You don't really want the overflow because those don't count as much.
So here goes two out of three eight bad right there.
Surface continuing the onslaught.
Cube playing some defense, trying to slow down that Surface robot. Oh, two big misses. That defense is starting to be effective there. I don't know if you can slow him down, but boy, we've got some big scores here. Are we going to have a new high score in this match? We certainly can. We got the last 10 seconds of this match. We're going to get some shots in at the end. Uh in and out right there by Surface. We got a pushing contest here. Let's get in the base. Got to get nice and clean. And that is the end of the match.
Great job. We're going to have that score for you in just a moment.
And now let's see our scores 10.
Congratulations to the Red Alliance.
245-79, putting Yakubots into third place and taking home five ranking points.
And with that, back over on field number two, we are set for match number 12.
We're going to keep things flowing here on the Martin division. Our red Alliance has 16965 from Redmond. Super Critical and their match partner 12589 from Shrewsbury, Mass. Pioneer Robotics.
One of our fantastic rookies is kicking off our blue alliance 31944.
>> Team Sonic Bots 01 from Maryland >> and they're going to be playing with currently ranked fifth 10785.
>> Highlanders from New Jersey.
>> Fun fact, though they are rookie, Sonic Bots 1 is currently ranked second.
Scoring table, thumbs up. Head ref, thumbs up. Robots are ready to roll.
We'll start with the drivers in the lines. 3 2 1 go.
>> And we're into our autonomous period.
Super critical. Scoring three artifacts while a few artifacts get jammed for a second, but managed to get knocked loose.
Both team the Red Alliance is narrowly pulling ahead, but the blue alliance and team Highlanders is doing everything they can to stay in this game. It's another four artifacts scored on the red alliance while Highlanders appears to be stopped ready to intake at the beginning of teleop.
>> Drivers, pick up your controllers.
3 2 1 >> and the Red Alliance takes a 20point lead going into the start of Teleyop, but Blue Alliance not wanting to let that stand immediately scoring.
Highlanders attempting to push Pioneer out of the way to make their artifacts go wide.
Super critical with rapid cycles from the far zone. No one in the area to try to defend them. Blue Alliance is still sending their balls as fast as they can.
Trying to make up the difference.
>> Super Critical trying to push Team Songbots out of the way, forcing them to go to the other launch zone.
Super Team Sonic Bots 01 is cycling back and forth between the close zone and their human player. It appears to almost be working. They are staying in this game match with a minute to go. The teams are separated by less than 30 points.
A battery falling out from Pioneer Robotics. The Red Alliance is now Team Super Critical is now on its own. Let's see if the Blue Lions is able to capitalize and come back.
>> 40 seconds to go. The Blue Lions has cut down the lead to 20. Super Critical despite the loss of their teammate is a hanging on by the skin of their teams scoring as rapidly as they can.
Can Super Critical score enough? 20 seconds to go. of the Red Alliance is keeping its lead by 10 points. However, Super Critical will be unable to get >> Super Critical is is attempting to intake from its own with 9 seconds to go. Super Critical launches from the far zone, scores two of three and rushes into their base zone. The Blue Lights pulls ahead, but we will see how it finishes.
I can't wait to see the results of this match. But first, I think we have the results of match 11 coming up. Yeah.
Let's go back to match 11. Who was it?
Was it blue? Was it red? It was the Blue Alliance.
257 points by the Blue Alliance taking home four rank points for 5115 and 22 345.
And with that, we move on to match number 13. Hey teams, it's time for another state sponsored match.
>> It sure is.
>> This one is coming from the Granite State, New Hampshire.
>> Oh yes, >> we have got a couple boxes from Shooters Candy Counter. Nestled in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, Shooters is home to the world's largest candy counter. No, we're being serious. It features all kinds of favorite sweet treats, plus some other mainstream like toxic waste, gummy brains, >> gummy brains, >> and much more. Our winning alliance will enjoy a variety of sweet and very sour candies from this wonderful establishment.
>> That's awesome. I'm jealous. I'm so jealous.
>> I don't know. One of these two.
velocity vision mass question.
Space timeone.
know, a fusion.
We have the results for the last match and the win for the hot tops goes to the Blue Alliance with a score of 219 to 157.
Blue Alliance, remember to come over It is team Tessarak from a community team from Nasha, New Hampshire.
>> And on the red lines, we have team 18442.
>> Gear rotation, a community team from Sykesville, Maryland.
And on the blue alliance, we have team 18224, >> Lupine Robotics, Boring School, Beverly, Massachusetts.
>> And running off the lines, we have team 18209.
>> Full stop, South Kingstown High School, Wakefield, Rhode Island.
>> We are randomizing.
When I was reading the Red and Blue Alliance, I don't know if you guys seen that Spider-Man meme where he's pointing at each other. I had to take a double take to make sure I said that right.
>> Refs have a thumbs up. Red Alliance, thumbs up. Blue alliance, thumbs up.
Blue alliance, we're good. Awesome. We will start the match in three, two, one, decode.
All four teams on the move in this autonomous.
Blue Alliance taking the far shot and lining up for the near shot. Three for three. Red Alliance classifier is full.
Wipe that slate clean. Starting fresh.
Both teams starting fresh on that classifier.
One shot in in the blue.
Three for three for the blue.
>> Drivers, pick up your controllers.
>> Three, two, one.
>> Three shots in on the blue and three on the red.
>> Classifier emptying on the red.
Blue loading up for the shot.
>> Three for three.
>> Far shots from the blue and red just misses.
Ramp full and emptied on the blue.
Red ready for a clean slate. Four artifacts on the classifier.
18209 moving into position. Ready for that far shot. Shoot and score.
Red Alliance 18442 loading up preparing for the shot.
One, two, three in and three matched for the blue.
Robots vying into position.
Three shots in, four in the blue.
