The Wind Storm is Coming! Time to SAVE the Bird Eggs!Added:
Oh, good, wonderful, beautiful morning, Pottience. Oh my gosh, it's supposed to be 70 degrees today. I don't know if we remember what that's like. It's crazy that I say that cuz it's supposed to be 70 today and then it's supposed to drop back down in the 40s and the 50s for the next few days. But, uh, we didn't vlog a couple days ago. So, I'm going to show you what happened just a few days ago.
See these two pine trees right here that are dead? They're coming down today. So, I thought I'd get a clip of this real quick and them coming down and uh it's warmer today than it was yesterday.
That's not entirely true. It's 42 degrees, but we're going to take these two trees down. We were afraid they were going to come down in the ice storm and the neighbor's house is right there and then our building right here. So, those are going. So, there's a big pile of tree back there now. We just burned so much of this brush and wood and now we have more. That's two trees, actually.
Oh, boy. Well, there's some fun for us.
>> So, yeah, it looks a little different right here because there is two pine trees down. Uh, like you saw, Greg came over last night, helped us cut them up, and now my brother just brought us over a splitting axe cuz Jamie actually doesn't have one. He had one a long time ago, but we don't know where it is. And we're going to start splitting this wood because it's so nice and light. We'll keep it for firewood. Please get away from it. It's sappy and sticky. And then we've got some sticks there to get rid of. And then you know the other pile I showed you. So I guess we're going to be burning wood again today. Might as well cuz it's super nice out today. But this will all make really nice firewood.
You're right.
>> It's a little wet.
>> Yeah. It has to dry.
>> I'm pretty sure you're right. Can we still put it on a wood splitter or No.
>> I think wood splitter would force >> right and then it would dry. So if we took it out to Greg's, put it on his wood splitter.
I mean, it looks cool.
>> You look like an axeman.
>> Yeah. Not doing it.
>> Yeah. Maybe try this little one.
>> The smaller ones would be drier.
>> Yeah. Maybe try a smaller one.
>> Yeah.
Oo. See, that even sounded different.
>> Yeah. That was a little drier.
>> Yeah. Yeah.
>> That one probably >> It might split, but there's a lot of knots still.
>> Yeah.
I think you're right. I think if we just load There's not that much. If we load it up on a trailer and take it to Greg's, >> split it, bring it back.
Sticky sticky. That's what it is.
Look, we're out and about.
>> Oh, and it's so windy. We have a scooter we have to do a review on for the review channel. And uh we thought we'd take it out since it's 72 degrees outside. So, we're going to go ride this around and then go back home and burn sticks.
We just had lunch at Subway. Not my favorite, but it was actually pretty good today. All right, let's let's roll.
This one's pretty nice. I'll put a link for it down below as well, so if you guys are interested in it. It's actually a pretty nice scooter. It's really tall for me, though. I have a feeling this is for more a taller person than me. Look, the river's back where it belongs. It's way down there. You can see all of the steps. Oh, it's so windy out today, though. We're going to go check out the rest of this trail real quick. Check it out. That's the bridge that was flooded.
It sure did. Looks like a whole waterfall and everything back there now.
>> Yeah, it definitely cleaned it out.
>> Yeah. So, this is the bridge a couple vlogs ago that we showed you guys the water. Oh, look it.
>> What?
>> It's damaged.
>> Oh, yeah. It's just a >> Yeah. Yeah, it definitely uh definitely looks pretty cool.
>> Well, you can tell. I mean, well, now you can see >> Yeah.
>> That's how deep it was.
>> How deep that was.
>> Yeah. The water.
>> The water. Yeah, little creek was way up here. That's >> that's how deep it was.
>> That's kind of crazy.
>> That is really crazy. It rose that high.
That much higher than it is right now.
You guys are wondering why everything was flooded. That's why.
>> That's crazy.
>> That is crazy. I'm glad the bridge is still here.
>> I know.
>> Cuz it got washed out once before a long time ago. But all they got to do is fix that post. It looks like they should be good.
>> Hopefully. That's crazy that that's how high it got. But it sure did.
>> Still pretty stable.
>> Yeah. Look, there's a tree.
Holy cow. I mean, it still fell in, but it's there.
That's crazy.
Look. And this is here. I'll show you over here where the path that we were talking about in the last video. See it down there? I'm going this way. It's so windy. Oh, there's so much sand built up. Yeah, there's the path that you can go right down over there. That was completely gone. Now it's back. We're back. We got the fire going again.
Doesn't take much cuz it's windy. That's why we're burning in here. Makes it safer. Dogs are like, "Oh my gosh, the garage is open. Let's go check it out."
Oh, she didn't. She's like, "Change my mind. Not going that way." Lunch time for the puffers. You're almost done.
You're almost done. They got sardine juice on their food today.
Let me show you this. The evangor the whole uncut sardines. Yesterday they each got a whole sardine and then there's a lot of like brothy stuff left in here. So I put two tablespoons of it on each of their lunch today. I think it's safe to say they think it's amazing. Kira's like, "Is there more of them fishes?" I don't buy the sardines very often because they're just gross.
They're whole sardines and they're gross. You don't want to see them. Um but the dogs absolutely love them. So once in a while we do get those. I actually think I got those for Kira for her birthday. So once in a while they'll get them. So the wind has picked up even more. Now of course we're not leaving the fire unattended. But I just got the notice that we're under a red flag warning. It doesn't mean we can't burn, but it means that fires could happen.
And I was just told that there's a fire behind Taco Bell, which is over that way. So you can see my little fire there. I'm going to let that burn down below the lid. It's only like this much above the lid. And I'm going to put the lid on it. And we already wetted like around the area just in case. But we're not really burning anything that's floating away and making sparks, which is good. But we're going to put this out for today. You saved them.
>> I did.
>> So Jamie just got a clip of him saving the birds cuz as I said, they're saying it's like 45 to 50 mph wind gusts right now.
>> Yeah. Here.
>> Well, I we'll insert the video.
>> Okay. Yeah, we'll just insert the video right here.
She'd be holding on for dear life up there. Now, I don't know if we said this earlier. I think Dorothy might be showing up soon. This is crazy. So windy. Put the lid on the fire. Grab the axe. It's raining. I told you Dorothy might be coming. Quick, put the lid on.
There we go. There's not really much fire left, but it's raining. I don't know where that came from, but it's raining.
>> Look, we got all the wood on the trailer so we can take it out to Greg's. It almost all stacked upright. We thought it looked cool.
Well, I don't think we're I mean, I didn't think we were taking them for a W. Okay. anyway because it's so windy.
But now that the rain and Dorothy might be coming to visit us, they're c we're we're in like a whatever it is. Level one possibility of popup thunderstorms.
I believe it. It's uh really bad.
Hi girl. It's like whoa. It's so windy.
Don't fall in the hole. Or if you're going to fall in the hole, at least let me catch it on camera. But in really don't fall in the hole. Okay. Thanks.
Well, you I just said don't fall in the hole, ma'am.
Come out here and rush and put everything away cuz I mean, we kind of thought it was going to rain and then it actually did. My good. What do you got on your paw? Dirt. Dirt. Look at dirt.
Let me get it. She's like, "Mom, no."
All right. Well, look at you. We'll go inside. We're going inside cuz it's raining. I think uh Memphis made us make bad life choices.
>> You know, I said it stopped raining. It did stop raining >> and then I started again >> and now it's raining and it's cold and I didn't wear my hoodie.
>> Look, I got red. Got some sun today.
Um, so it wasn't raining.
>> And now it is.
Makes for makes for an interesting I don't think it's going to rain long.
>> No, it's going to sprinkle.
>> Are you happy, Memphis? Mhm.
>> Memphis has been bugging us for what, an hour?
>> Yeah, at least half hour.
>> But to be fair, it was actually raining pretty hard.
>> Yeah, it was raining.
>> So, we took the we took the Okay, it stopped raining. Quick, let's go. And now it's raining again.
>> I think >> that's all right. All the neighbors can think we're crazy.
>> Yep, we are.
>> We are crazy. Woo!
It's cold, hun.
>> It's 75 today.
>> I know, right?
I was just rushing out the door cuz I'm like we got to go before it gets dark.
>> Oh my goodness. Oh, you're on the wrong side. I was going to say you're going to knock her over.
Oh, when the wind's not there, it's not bad. Oh, quit raining. No, maybe not.
Maybe so. Maybe not. Well, it stopped raining for like 2 minutes. We're like just under halfway in the walk. Yeah, just under halfway. Oh, I think it stopped again.
>> Oh, maybe not. Are you happy, Memphis?
>> As long as it made you happy.
>> Cuz you really wanted to go.
>> Yeah.
>> And it was either a walk or a bully stick, which you might still get a bully stick, too. Oh, look at their pretty flower.
>> They're starting to all come back.
>> Oh, life.
>> A new generation.
>> They might freeze to death in the next couple of days, though.
>> That's a lot of flowers.
>> Mhm.
>> A lot of pretty flowers.
Car's like, I got to sniff everything. I got to smell it all. Eat everybody's tall grasses.
>> Oh, I hear spinning peepers.
>> Yeah.
>> Make it louder as we get up to the corner here.
>> Yeah.
>> And the horse says, "I don't care if it's rain." They don't care if it's raining at all.
>> Nope.
>> Our dogs don't really care about the rain. Memphis sometimes when it's raining doesn't want to go outside.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah. But this is like >> like we could do this. This ain't nothing.
>> Oh, are they still water falling into their ditch?
Yeah. Yeah. Small water fall into the ditch there. Just a little bit. At least the road's not flooded anymore. Oh my goodness.
>> Bunnies. Did you see them? There they go.
>> Oh, there's three bunnies.
>> Okay, we're going to walk this way. We don't want them to run in Aby's yard, but I don't think Aby's outside. Oh my gosh, they're all over up there. There's a whole bunch of bunnies up there. Oh, we found the bunnies again. Don't go into Aby's yard. I see you, big bunny.
He's coming back this way. He's He's coming.
>> He's going to go right across in front of us or he's going to freeze. There's the bunny.
>> Everybody sees him.
>> Hi, bunny.
>> Oh, and you're going to come back across.
>> What? You're not a very smart bunny.
>> It's like he's oblivious.
>> You are not a smart bunny. There you go.
>> I was just born. Give me credit.
>> Oh my goodness. That's a big bunny.
>> Yeah, he's all the girls are like, "Oh my gosh, that was a bunny." The rest of them were over that way. I don't know where they went. Oh, they're over there. There goes the bunnies.
>> We found the bunnies. Oh, I'm excited to see more bunnies again.
>> Oh gosh.
>> Oh, they're everywhere up there.
>> Everybody's flowers.
>> I guess we're going this way.
>> Oh, there's a bunny. There's so many bunnies.
>> I guess we're going this way. We did it.
We walked. We came back. We're wet. And now we're back to watching hockey. I was just like, I'm going to go lay down.
That was a lot. That was a lot. Now go lay down. Oh my goodness, I almost forgot to say good night. Memphis is down there getting a drink of water and then she'll probably come down here, check everything out, and then leave and go back to where she was cuz that's what she's been doing lately. And then like at 2 3:00 in the morning, she ends up in here. You know, old dog things. She actually did good after her walk. That was the other thing I was going to update you guys on. She we only did like a little bit less than a full walk of what we have been trying to get her to do, which is about a mile. So, we probably did like threequarters of a mile. And she didn't limp that bad, which was good. She She came home, limped a little bit, napped, we did her red light therapy, and then she did okay. So, anyway, we hope you guys enjoyed today's video. As always, thanks so much for watching. Thanks for subscribing. Stay positive, dream big, and we will see you again soon. P.S., From the first time we saw the eggs in the bird's nest to now, it's been 14 days. So, there's a chance we could see baby birds in there anytime soon. And there's five eggs in there. I hope we get to see them all. Okay, good night podians.
