[00:00:13]Because if you listen to this uh people who speak uh listen, I don't I'm I if I'm wrong, please I Ever come across a Tik Tok where you're like, "What the actual?" Like, make it make sense.

[00:00:24]Anyway, you're going to watch well, you're going to listen to this. I'm going to block it out and then we're going to discuss. I'm Lori. I've just moved from London to Johannesburg and these are some of my first impressions.

[00:00:35]Now, this might be a bit of a controversial one, but I have to say it.

[00:00:39]I think white people are a little bit too comfortable. A little a little I just feel like if you're Hello, everyone. How are you guys doing today? So, guys, I saw this video. I don't know if this black American is trying to make fun of the Xhosa people or I don't understand, but guys, you all need to watch this video. It's no longer a secret that whenever people are talking, you always hear the click word.

[00:01:03]You always know that, "Oh, this one like this is from Xhosa." Because that's the one thing that differentiate um Xhosa people from the rest of the other tribes in South Africa. But all the times, most times when South Africa uh black Americans come online, only few of them always like to talk nice things about black South Africans. The rest always feels like they are better off than all other African countries, they're better off than South Africa. They always like to come on social media to brag. While there are some that are calling the black South the black Americans hypocrite. Why are you always coming online to bash South Africans? South Africans will just sit on their own and you see black Americans always always on Tik Tok bashing them. [00:01:51]But it sound like the Xhosa language, right? A lot of South African people speak with that click. Like they when they talk. And to me, it's actually such a [ __ ] beautiful language. But I'm going to admit to myself too that I used to laugh at them jokes. I used to think that [ __ ] was funny. And it's like, think about how propaganda has really brainwashed us. The more this this this administration has taught me so much about propaganda that I did not I'm not going to say I didn't realize, but I really didn't like I didn't come to terms with it. How disgusting and how influential propaganda is. They literally told us like just the way that they talked about Africa in all the shows. Like Africa is so poor, Africa is this, Africa is that.

[00:02:30]Do y'all see them amapiano dancers? Do you see how they dress? Do you see their swagger?

[00:02:37]Shout-outs to [ __ ] South Africa. And on behalf of America's, you know, cuz we were taught nonsense. And behalf on behalf of Americans who are ignorant as [ __ ] and did not know the root of that joke, we sincerely ap- I sincerely apologize. I'm speaking for myself cuz a lot of y'all Americans are ignorant as [ __ ] But I sincerely apologize for laughing at those type of jokes and even making them type of jokes that Africans speak like ooh na na na na na na na na. Like that language, when you hear them speaking that [ __ ] it's actually beautiful. And think about the talent you have to have to be able to add that like to your like to the way you speak. Like that's the way you communicate. Like you, you know, in in your communication. And I didn't do that to mock. I did it because like that is actually a beautiful [ __ ] language. I actually watched people who sing in that language and I was like, "Oh my god, wow." America has really brutalized our brain cells. Like they really had us walking around ignorant as [ __ ] even to our own like ancestral people. And I'm so sorry for that. Shout-outs to South Africa. I [ __ ] love that country. And the women, oh my god.

[00:03:39]Let me tell you about all the things that have surprised me as an American living in South Africa while we make Sunday roast meal.

[00:03:46]Is that how you guys say it? Like Sunday roast meal?

[00:03:49]Okay, the first thing that has surprised me as an American living in South Africa is that you guys pee on the side of the road a lot.

[00:03:58]The amount of times that I've seen anyone just pulling on the side of the road zipping their yep, going to the bathroom.

[00:04:06]I've seen too much I've seen too much, guys. I've seen too much. Robots, okay?

[00:04:11]You guys actually stop when they're not working. I I have driven through robots because they're not working cuz I forget that you still have to stop. You still have to stop. Like what? You guys lock your doors and windows and gates every single night.

[00:04:30]Every single night. I'm not going to lie to you guys. Um in the states I'm pretty sure there's windows open, there's doors open, there are gates open.

[00:04:42]Like I'm pretty sure my parents do not lock every single door every night.

[00:04:47]Like we have a gate. It's it's open every night. People can people could walk in the back.

[00:04:53]So, getting used to making sure the gate is locked, the door is locked, the carport gate is locked every single night is a new thing.

[00:05:03]And lastly, Sunday meals go hard. I've never had something consistent in the sense of like we're eating a Sunday meal every single Sunday.

[00:05:13]Either I'm making it or mom's making it or we're all making it. Yeah, that goes hard.

[00:05:19]I'm going to show you guys what I ate today.

[00:05:31]You're going to come to Africa and you're going to do all these horrific atrocities and racisms.

[00:05:37]At the least when we now get the country back, when the blacks get the country back, at least like behave, you know, with a bit of hum- like be with be humble. Like have a bit of humility, that's what I was looking for. And I say this because I was at um I was at a bar the other day and um there was a group of um black South Africans and listen, the music was eating, the DJ was cutting up. And they were dancing, like singing, like proper like they were making a racket. I can't lie, but in the best way because I was loving it. Like this is what it's about.

[00:06:16]And then you had like this one white guy just staring at them. Just like And then there wasn't even a lady who came from outside, a white lady came from outside to look and see what's going on. And like I was like, "Girl, apart that is over.

[00:06:34]The [ __ ] free.

[00:06:35]Like we can actually do whatever we want. Well, I say we, like we in like a I support you guys.

[00:06:42]Like that [ __ ] is over. Black people are free now. And this is Africa, [ __ ] So, they can actually do whatever they want. So, yeah, I feel like white people a bit too comfortable. Guys, this thing of South African men normalizing cat calling, it needs to end, okay? Because please tell I'm trying to cross the road and this guy goes like, "Oh, my size."

[00:07:04]Uh-uh, babe. I said my size. I know, no, no. I'm not on size. Anyways, he's saying, "Sexy, sexy, sexy." I know I am, but I Get a grip. Get a grip.

[00:07:19]I I swear I wasn't watching the video. I was listening to it and I was like, "Oh my god, this is really funny. I want to get cat called. Why don't I get cat called?" And then that that face don't match that voice.

[00:07:44]One thing I have to notice is the fact that I have never seen a black British.

[00:07:49]Like someone that is coming from British come out and be insulting South Africa or insulting black South Africa. Why must it always be the black Americans?

[00:07:58]And also, let's talk about the sweet videos. You know, not all. Some people always like liking the South Africa accent. So, all in all, for some people are enjoying it.
