Why Development Looks Different Everywhere

Some Some communities I've worked with are very eager to see some development and and are working hard to bring in some some economic growth and opportunity. Others are are less thrilled. They're They've been heavily impacted over a short period of time and they'd like to see things slow down.

[00:00:24]So and you see this in the political realities of who's being elected and what their policies are. So Yeah. Again, as I said before, highly variable from jurisdiction to jurisdiction.

[00:00:36]I I try not to tell too many war stories, but I'll I'll launch into one here. I was hired at one point by a border community between Idaho and Washington to deal with a development on the nearby state.

[00:00:49]And while I was working on the issue, the city board really transformed from an anti-growth to a pro-growth focus.

[00:00:59]And I had to really quickly shift what I was attempting to accomplish. It was a challenging. I I I went down there expecting to be fired and persuaded them that we could we could develop it along the way and in the line with what they were looking for.
