Estimated 100,000 used early voting in Kentucky, secretary of state confirms

[00:00:01]The polls about 20 minutes away from closing here in Louisville and across parts of Kentucky. According to the Secretary of State Michael Adams, over 150,000 Kentuckians used the early voting options all across the state state that ended Saturday night. Here in Louisville, one focus tonight is on the mayoral race, of course, and we want to bring you down to Jefferson County's election center where our Clarice Shalay joins us live. Clarice, so what have they been telling you about today's turnout? We've been getting some some early numbers back.

[00:00:34]Yes, Doug and Connie. I'm actually at a polling location here at Southern Church off South Shelby Street. There are still quite a few people here 20 minutes until the polls close. I'll let you take a look here now.

[00:00:45]They are They're about an hour ago they were saying they are showing about 20% in all of the precincts here in this location as voted. Again, 11 candidates have put in their name into the hat for the mayoral race this primary and two of them so far have dropped out. Those people are Bill Wells and Jeffrey Young. They are included on the yellow street that yellow sheet that you will see on your polling area when you do come to vote here though, but we are getting into those last few minutes.
