[00:00:00]My name's Bailey Bruler, and I'm going to show you an incredible trick to keep your nice, tall boots always upright, stretched out in the tight [music] parts that can create sores on your ankles, and looking their best when you are not wearing them.

[00:00:40]Now, today, I'm going to demonstrate on my nice pair of English riding boots. I love this pair of boots. [music] They are made of patent leather, and they are stovepipe tall and hard and very uncomfortable to wear at times. So, [music] I'm going to show you this really great trick that I learned along the way to keep these boots both upright, stretched out so that I have more ankle mobility when I wear them, and keeping them nice and broken in when I am not riding in them. Now, these boots are absolutely beautiful. I had them custom-made for me in the UK.

[00:01:15]And again, I wear them only exclusively when I'm competing.

[00:01:20]These are made by Solaris.

[00:01:23]See, they've been broken in a little bit, but they are patent leather. They are stovepipe hard, and they still have a little bit of give through the ankle, but I really needed something a little bit more that was going to stretch this out, make this nice comfortable for my ankles, and prevent some of the rubbing that happens with brand new boots that you have to break [music] in.

[00:01:42]Now, I really love this trick because, like I said, you can use it for any style of boots, and these are the victim that I am choosing today. Now, I don't know about you, but I'm a little bit of a wine snob. So, what that means is I have a very impressive wine collection that I tend to go through quite quick.

[00:01:59]So, this trick has really capitalized on my love of wine, but if you are somebody that likes your whiskey, your vodka, your other libations, this trick will also work for you as [music] well. So, when I find myself with an empty wine bottle, what I do is I grab my boot, the one that really needs to be stretched out quite a [music] bit, and I take this bottle, and I really shove it all the way down, and it tends to get stuck at the place that has the most constriction, [music] which is also the place that creates a lot of rubbing and tension on my ankles.

[00:02:32]So, this bottle will end up pushing through this leather here, >> [snorts] >> and really helping stretching it out.

[00:02:40]Additionally, because the wine bottle's tall, it will help this boot keep its shape from falling over, flopping over, and compromising some of the really nice leather that it has and has built in.

[00:02:52]Now, when you shove your wine bottle all the way to the very bottom, that is not going to go anywhere. It gives some great rigidity to this boot, [music] helps it to keep its shape, which is really what we're trying to do, and also stretches out this ankle area. Again, you can use any type of bottle of any libation that you choose or have around the home, whatever you're really into.

[00:03:13]Now, the best part about this [music] trick is truly if you have a good ride, we celebrate with wine.

[00:03:20]And if you have a bad ride, well, at least there's wine.
