In a 215-208 vote, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a resolution to block President Donald Trump from ordering further military strikes on Iran, marking the first time such a measure cleared both chambers since the conflict began over three months ago; the vote included four Republicans (Representatives Thomas Massie, Tom Barrett, Davidson, and Brian Fitzpatrick) who joined Democrats in voting to force the administration to end the war, though the resolution faces significant hurdles including a potential presidential veto and procedural challenges in the Senate.

House Republicans REBUKE Trump In Surprise War Vote追加:
On this vote, the yay's are 215 and the nays are 208. The concurrent resolution is adopted.
With without objection, the motion to reconsider is laid on the table.
>> Boy, a rowdy bunch there. It almost felt like that was the British Parliament just missing the wigs. I mean, they were loud and proud of this war powers vote.
The sound of Republicans indeed perhaps maybe just a little bit growing a spine.
It's about time. That's what I'm hearing people saying. It's about time to be accurate. Four Republicans because that's how many join the Democrats and finally voting for the War Powers Act. I mean, you have the it's called the War Powers Act. You have the ability to do this.
And yet only now and only four resolution is to block Trump from ordering further strikes on Iran. In the House, four Republicans, Representatives Thomas Massie, Kentucky, no surprise, Tom Barrett, Michigan, or Davidson, Ohio, and Brian Fitzpatrick, Pennsylvania, join Democrats in voting to force Donald Trump to end the war.
So, what that translates to is we don't trust your ability to make good decisions, big or small. So, now you have to check in with mom and dad. Okay?
And even though we're dysfunctional, and we're separated, headed for divorce, and never got along, you have to come to mom and dad now because we're not going to tolerate this any further. To reach Trump's desk, the Senate resolution would require a final vote in the chamber, which could be tough. still uphill battle if every senator is voting. Three Republican senators who had opposed similar measures in the past missed the procedural vote on the resolution last month that allowed it to advance. If they had voted the way they had in the past, it would have failed 50/50. Washington Post giving us the split there. And of course, Donald Trump would veto it.
who put him in the office and gave him all of the goodies that came with it.
Um, here was Donald Trump's response to the vote. We'll let you see it. Um, yeah, there's I see some all caps there, but basically yesterday in a meaningless vote, the House voted four bad Republicans. I mean, he's just so juvenile. four bad Republicans and all of the Democrats to limit my war powers right in the middle of my final negotiations to end the war with the Islamic Republic of Iran. Who would do such an unpatriotic thing? They know where the negotiations stand. They don't. None of us do. We're just going by what you say and then the other side puts out something or a Lego video and says none of it's true. So they actually don't know where negotiations stand or that you're wrapping it up. They would rather have our country fail than give me another of many victories. The poor Republicans, that's a whole other story.
They're grandstanders. He says they should be ashamed of themselves. MAGA.
And then of course ends it. President DJT.
Um, you know, this has been going on so long. It is our I can't even call it our new normal. It's just what we've been dealing with. You know, we're not living. We're not breathing. We're just trying to survive Donald Trump at this point. I do think that, and it's hard, Viviana, because I don't want to give even those four Republicans credit.
Okay. I hear Jenk sometimes in my head and know I'm not crazy but yeah I hear Jenk because he's saying you know it I believe Jenk would say look it's something and you have to take something okay to try to wrap this thing up and when people do the right thing you go ahead and give them their their props if you will I don't know that that's the word he would use but that's the word I'm going to use but it's hard for me to do that because if you love this country if you're serving this country go ahead be a little bit corrupt but to just check All of your powers at the door and in the 11th hour after billions are spent, the straight is shut down.
American servicemen and women are dead.
Now you want to kind of be like, I mean, why do I have to give them credit for that?
>> I agree with you, Sharon. I mean, it's hard to give them kudos when the reality is that time is ticking. Their constituents are feeling the burn because, you know, the 1 percentersenters aren't feeling the burn. The constituents are feeling the burn and they're starting to complain.
So now these politicians have to start listening to the constituents and not just the benefactors have been, you know, filling their pockets. So is it a backbone or is it just greed?
>> I don't know.
>> Yeah. Um, I vote for greed. You know, I vote to just keep it in that bucket because we only know what you've shown us. When you show us something different, maybe we'll believe something different. Okay. But I think it's about the money and it's about their own records and their own fate and their own proximity to power and understanding where things are headed in November and that Trump is, you know, not going to be around forever even though he says he's not leaving and he's got a bunch of construction projects, gaudy ones, goldfilled ones that tell us that maybe he won't leave. Maybe they will have to drag him out of there. Um, so it's just it's just a mess. I'll give you uh final thoughts if you have any on it.
>> This is a very minimal and stupid thought, but you know, it's in regards to the president's words, so the bar is low. Uh did he spell Democrats like that on purpose? I'm just not sure.
>> Was that an accident? Might have been.
>> One never knows. And I can tell you this, if you if you claim it is, he will tell you everything he does is deliberate. Even wrecking the economy, it's deliberate. Okay. Um, others would say, "Well, it's just stupidity." I vote for stupidity. Okay? Because again, it's what you're showing us.
