Meteorologists analyze weather patterns by tracking precipitation systems, temperature variations, and atmospheric conditions to predict weather events. In this forecast, scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected across Oklahoma, with temperatures dropping from the 80s to the 60s due to a cool front passing through. The forecast includes specific timing for precipitation (late tonight through Sunday morning), severity assessments (marginal risk level 1 for wind and hail), and extended temperature predictions for the coming days.

More scattered showers and t-storms on the wayAdded:
We are tracking some scattered showers and storms on the other side of the state and throughout Kansas and North Texas. Hi everyone, I'm meteorologist Brandon will be on a look at those 6:00 temperatures across the state mainly into the 80s but across western Oklahoma, we have that one Mesonet site down to the 60s with the showers and storms in the vicinity. What a change there. Live on our Bob Hurley RV weather camera network lots of sunshine across the Tulsa metro area and mainly all in throughout eastern Oklahoma but increasing clouds later on tonight and overnight. The official daytime high today 84 degrees. The current temperature at 82 super low on the relative humidity now down to around 32%. Coffeeville is checking in at 82 82 also for viewers in prior and 83 in Muskogee. On future track radar and the cloud cover so again clouds moving in later tonight and overnight eventually partly to mostly cloudy skies with an increasing chance for showers and storms. This is around midnight or so.
Now the current model thinking is the most amount of showers and storms going off towards our south so the tail end of our forecast area down towards maybe Bristow and Okmulgee and McAlester. This is after 1:00 in the morning. Some of those could be strong to severe with a wind and hail threat and then as we go in throughout early tomorrow morning this is after 4:00 in the morning through about 6:00 to 7:00 still some scattered showers and thunder showers across the area. So for your Mother's Day Sunday morning, it does look wet across most of our forecast area even the chance for rain showers extending all the way in throughout the afternoon with mostly cloudy to cloudy skies and those much cooler daytime highs on the backside of a cool front. So tonight later on tonight and overnight, we do have that marginal risk only a level one out of five for a portion of our forecast area mainly a wind and hail threat. The tornadic threat mainly to the west of our forecast area tonight and overnight. Then tomorrow morning and throughout the afternoon, the chance for some isolated strong to severe storms with mainly a wind and hail threat along and to the south of Interstate 40.
Again, down towards the McAlester area just like later on tonight. So, a 70% chance of showers and storms late tonight across the Tulsa metro area.
We're down to a warmer 60° with those overnight lows upper 50s and low to the mid-60s. Tomorrow, much cooler at 72. A good chance for showers and storms not only for the morning, but also early and throughout the afternoon with those cooler high temperatures all across our area. Super 10-day forecast, 77. The sun is back on Monday, 83. Mostly sunny on Tuesday. Helping to plan your day, 63° at 8. Showers and storms across the area. And rolling out that extended forecast on Wednesday, we have low 80s.
Mid to the upper 80s for Thursday and Friday. Another chance for showers and storms later in the day on Friday. And pretty warm next weekend, we have those temps in the mid to the upper 80s.
