Effective governance requires politicians to prioritize long-term national development and the welfare of future generations over short-term electoral gains, and citizens have the right to demand accountability from their elected officials by questioning their vision and purpose for leadership.

BOLO TBV is live! DREBRIAN SHOW MAY 22,2026Added:
Don't ever believe that a politician is a leader. Don't ever believe that because the system that we have produces politicians. It doesn't produce leaders.
And so you can have a politician >> knows nothing about leadership and he's leading you. Politicians are concerned about the next election. That's all they're interested in. That's why they cannot be leaders.
>> But leaders are different. Leaders are concerned about the next generation.
I want you to compare those two thoughts. The next time you have a politician come to your house wanting to vive for your vote. Just ask him uh what is your vision for my children?
I will sit and listen for 20 minutes for you to tell me what it is.
He will leave your house.
because he has no interest in your children's children.
His concern is to stay in power to keep the position to win the next election. This is why they cannot lead. When you are going to have a conversation with a politician, you should actually try this as a test.
You, by the way, as a citizen of a community, you have a right to be seen by the mayor. I hope you know that. If you voted for a mayor, the mayor works for you. Therefore, you have a right to see him. You can make an appointment to see any public officer you voted for.
Did you know that? That's your legal right. If he don't want to see you, you can take him to court.
That's democracy. So, I want you to make an appointment to go and see your mayor or go and see your governor and just sit and say, "I want 30 minutes with you, sir, and ask him about that list right there." And sir, what is your purpose for being in leadership in this city?
What is your purpose? The first question will make him very nervous. Second question, what are you what is your passion for our community?
He'll be wondering what you're talking about. What are you talking about?
I just want to build roads and bridges and and provide jobs. No, no, no. What is your passion?
And this is why we need to question the leaders we have. And so I have a little thought here. I call it politics versus leadership. Let's talk about it for a second. Number one, politicians focus on programs, not vision.
Number two, politicians priority is securing the next election, not securing the next generation. Their focus is different. Number three, politicians are preoccupied with promises, not purpose.
What we need is statesmen, statesmen. We don't need more politicians. A statesman is an interesting human. a statesman.
Think of the next generation.
Tonight we are going to witness the most anticipated match in the history of professional wrestling for the heavyweight championship of the world.
Are you ready?
Wrestling fans, are you ready for the thousands in attendance and the millions watching around the world from the capital city of the United States of America, Washington DC? Ladies and gentlemen, let's get ready to rumble.
>> Way to start the weekend.
Eh, what a way to start the weekend.
We going to make God have his way.
What a message for us this morning.
H I see the mountain.
Yeah, we see the lion them in front of we mighty God.
But rock of ages clip eh for we we going hide ourself.
Mighty God, Jamaica.
Eh, what a message for the people. What a message for the nation.
JAMAICA, ONE MORE TIME FROM THE TOP AGAIN and then we go down in the meat of the matter for class this morning. The song tonight message we all can learn something from the words of that lyric that this this song has touched me in so many ways this morning. E where you say uncle Pablo the writing is on the wall.
The Jamaica Labor Party totally collapsed. TOTALLY. LOOK AT NOBODY RUSH ME THIS MORNING. MAKE ME celebr Jamaica.
I'm not sure if you guys realize what is happening, but once again, it seems as though our leader, the leader of the opposition, Mark Jefferson Golding, will be taking a matter to the court.
And you know, man Golden don't take up matters and bring them to court if he's going to lose a case. We are not like the Jamaica Labor Party Andrew Michael wholeness.
I am happy to announce this morning that the leader of the opposition Mark Golding has indicate that any of Jula report he will be taking actions in the court.
MIGHTY GOD. NO SIR. Family leader.
Family leader.
Be my leader.
Family leader, family leader, family leader.
Jamaica, I tell you, don't play with Mark Jefferson Golding. You know how is it that you are going sit down on a report from March and don't table such report but reports that are not of any you know any it won't in it won't affect the nation people file them statuto and they fe them business them know file it If them not file it, them pay the fee.
That has nothing to do with the country and matter of national importance such as this etha report and what the Jamaica Labor Party has now created is unprecedented.
It now shows Jamaica that anything that is corrupt to hide the truth from the people.
Yeah. Will do whatever it takes. And when she done, she says she's impartial.
Well, I am happy to announce this morning that Mark Golding made it absolutely clear.
Say anyhow, then don't table the FLA report, he will be taking legal actions.
This woman will say and do anything, Uncle Dino, to protect the Jamaica Labor Party members. And you are the speaker of the house, somebody that should be impartial.
Whatever is sent to the house to be tabled. It's supposed to be tabled. the leader of government business, Floyd Green, and the opposition leader of government business, Philip Paul. They are responsible for the house.
Julness should be a referee.
Jul should not be there to pick sides.
Yes, we know she run on a JLP ticket, but if you KNOW YOU CANNOT BE UNBIASED, you need not to take the post as speaker. And that's why we keep on saying that this woman is compromised because you cannot tell the country that a matter like this of national importance where taxpayers have paid millions to pay the staff at the Integrity Commission to conduct an investigation. and the investigation has now been complete and the report sent to parliament and you are going to tell me that from the 30th of March the report has been sitting there with the house speaker and everything is being tabled except that report. What is it that they are hiding from that report? This is a disgrace and time and time again we see this woman continue to put the parliament in disrepute.
You cannot tell me that we are paying the integrity commission to do its work and after completing its job.
You are going to tell me that you are going to wait months and other matters who came that came after such report is being tabled except that report. Why?
And then you're going to come to us and tell us that you sent the report to the court and you cannot table something that is before the court. TELL US WHAT IS BEFORE THE COURT. JULIUS, I would love for you to tell us what is before the court because love to take poor people and the people of this country for idiot, you know.
And I hear you make reference to Ian Hels that Ian Hails did the same thing in the past. What was the outcome of that report against Ian Hels? And for those persons who want to know every crib and corner, apparently Ian Hills was in some land dispute in West Mand. And you know when a report come out then we say things about you where no really go. So until you prove the truth >> and what happened is that a report came out with Ian Heels and Ian Hails decide he's going to take the matter to court because no go.
However, the court ruled against Ian Hels and sent it to parliament and say Parliament must table that report. It must be tabled. So you want to tell me the Jamaica Labor Party D. Why is it that they cannot learn from the past?
E the same issue happened before years ago with Ian Heels and instead the Jamaica Labor Party look at the past. They are going to take the same route.
HOW IS IT THAT WE ARE GOING TO BE BETTER AS A COUNTRY? EH, HOW IS IT THAT WE ARE GOING TO BE BETTER in this country under this government called Labor Party?
GROWING UP ESPECIALLY when me in a high school THEN TELL ME SEE A tree independent arm of government make up our constitution the legislator the executive and the judiciary none should overlap or try to intervene in this case parliament that make the legislative laws WHERE JUL IS THE speaker she's in charge of that house.
You have the judiciary with the courts, a separate institution from parliament and you ARE GOING TO TELL ME DRNESS say you get a matter before you and you are going to take that matter to the court.
THE FIRST QUESTION JAMAICA MUST ASK THEMSELVES, WHAT IS THE STANCE OF PARLIAMENT? The legislative arm.
I want you to know follow me now. You know, yeah, Uncle Dino, the court WILL MAKE A DECISION. YES. BUT THE DECISION THAT THE COURT WILL make is the same decision that the legislature has made. JULIS ALREADY RULED THEY HAVE decided not to TABLE THE REPORT. SO ONCE THEM RULE IN A F THEM HOUSE, HOW IS IT THAT YOU GOING COME IN A FI HOUSE COME TRY ASK me to rule? No no no no no no no no no. You cannot rule AND THEN COME IN MY HOUSE AND WANT TO RULE. THE COURT IS GOING TO take the SAME STANCE OF THAT OF THE parliament and the parliament under Jules CHOSE NOT TO TABLE that report. SO IF YOU DIDN'T TABLE THE REPORT THAT mean it not open yet. SO HOW CAN THE COURT RULED ON A MATTER when it is not before them? IT'S LIKE WHEN CARRY ONE PACKAGE COME YOU DON'T KNOW WHY THE PACKAGE THE ONLY WAY KNOW WHAT IS IN THE PACKAGE IS IF THE PACKAGE IS open the court cannot act the court cannot act on it that way. Uncle Dino you are saying that if the parliament makes a wrong decision then the court will act. It is the same matter as as as as as as um Ian is right. The court decided to respond in that manner and send it back and said that it must be tabled. The integrity commission send the report for it to be tabled. You know the parliament decided that they're not going to table it. That mean them take a decision. Not true.
Yeah, Juliet take a decision and she chose not to table it and she send the matter to the court. So the fact that it is within before the court, the court is going to send it back for it to BE TABLE BECAUSE FOR THE COURT TO RULE, the court must know what is in that report. They cannot rule on a matter unless it is tabled. So they are going to send it back.
They are going TO SEND IT BACK. SO THAT IS A DECISION. I think that is the decision. The court is going to rule and ask the parliament to table the report.
This is nothing but a delay tactic.
Chelsea and the point I'm even trying to make, you know, this government do not learn from the past and they have the audacity to bring up back the Ian Hills matter and we keep on asking them what was the outcome of that Ian Hills matter. Didn't the court ruled that the report must be tabled?
You cannot send something before the court and the court don't know what is before them. The report must be tabled.
It must be tabled.
YOU CAN'T WANT COME IN AT THE COURTS and rule.
IT IS TWO DIFFERENT CHAMBER. IT SHOULD HAVE NEVER INTERTWINED.
WELL, Mark Golding have decided THAT ANYHOW THIS MATTER persist because it should have tabled Tuesday of this week. Mark Golding demanded that the report be tabled Tuesday in the house and Floyd Green and the rest of them were up on the animal farm decided that they're going to bully Yeah.
the parliament and the report was not tabled. Well, Mark Golding say if it is not tabled, he will be taking the matter to court.
Morning little miss. So come next week Tuesday because let me tell you know Jamaica this not look good on the Jamaica Labor Party none at all. No morning Lauren.
This sets a dangerous precedence for the Jamaica Labor Party.
This not look good none at all because it is going to create the impression like they are covering up something.
This is going to open a can of worms.
And what the Labor Party is doing is to use delay tactics to stall this report so that if there's anything that they need to put in place to cover them track, they will have ample time to do so. But the report will still be there.
The report will be there so we will know any attempts made.
Yeah.
to cover their tracks. And I want to ask is how nationwide now comment on this as yet. If it was any other matter, they would have gotten the leak from that report and they would have start set them narrative like what they did with Andrew Hoes and him bank accounts. And up to now Andrew Ho cannot be certified four years and counting.
Four years and counting. And up to now the prime minister statutory declarations cannot be certified because he failed to provide the integrity commission with the information to make people think he's worthy to be a prime minister and them no shame you know and the people them put him back in power say if he suffer if he suffer like dog yeah THE PEOPLE OF THIS COUNTRY must continue to suffer because they were made aware clear who and what the Jamaica Labor Party is and they choose to put them back. They must continue to suffer.
And I say it with no apology. It may MIGHT SOUND HARSH, BUT THE PEOPLE MUST SUFFER.
AND FOR THOSE COMRADES WHO STAY HOME and didn't come out to vote for whatever reason, I hope you all can take a part of the responsibility why this government is in power still.
And now see the come bandwagon and want to ball out and say things not going good. WHEN MANY OF YOU STAY ON the yard and didn't come out, come vote. And those of us who was on the PNP bandwagon and when the day come take the money from the Jamaica Labor Party and make them buy yard SUFFER IT SOUND AWAY BUT IT IS THE GOD ALMIGHTY truth and I hope we all learn from OUR MISTAKES. SO YES WE ARE GOING TO CONTINUE TO SUFFER TOGETHER.
WE ARE GOING TO SUFFER TOGETHER. YES.
But I hope you guys get it right this time. We knew that the Labor Party was up to nothing good l and take the cell out. Yeah. And didn't come out to vote. Why is it that so many of you coming out today on the internet a ball and a ball out for this and ball out for that? WE MUST TAKE THE SUFFERATION ON THE LABOR PARTY BECAUSE ANDREW OLDNESS KNOWS THAT HE IS NOT fit and qualified and deserving to be there.
BUT WHY IS IT THAT Andrew Hol cares when a Uno put him there? Uno choose to put him there.
SO WHY COME NOW AND I SAY THINGS THIS AND THINGS CHOOSE to put him there. It's not like it was a buckup win where we would have 31 32 THEM WIN BY OVER SEVEN seats when choose the turn on the yard and DIDN'T STAND UP FOR ANYTHING AND NOW COME OUT a ball for this and for that we must suffer.
We are GOING TO SUFFER TOGETHER AND I HOPE we get it right this time. BUT UNTIL THEN, MY PEOPLE, we are go up the mountain. WE ARE GOING UP THE MOUNTAIN TOGETHER, DESPITE THE HARDSHIP, despite what we are enduring, we have a leader in Mark Golding that we continue to trust and have faith in. So we going a song Jamaica.
I don't know if you guys heard.
Thank you. THANK YOU. MY FIRST GALAXY JESUS. Thank you. Thank you, Sexy Cola.
God bless you. God bless you. GOD BLESS YOU. I appreciate that. Thank you. Thank you. God bless you. Bless you. Bless you every time. Yes, man. I appreciate it.
Blessings. WE COMING UP THE MOUNTAIN. SO WE ASK THE DAINTY WOMAN THEM and the good good to take off the spiky a little bit man. We go put in the work and we go THROW WE SUPPORT BEHIND MARK GOLDING CUZ we see the mountain in front OF AND WE GO HELP HIM CLIMB THE MOUNTAIN.
WHEN ME SAY WE ARE GOING THROW WE SUPPORT BEHIND HIM AND WE GO STAND BESIDE HIM AND WE ARE GOING FIGHT THE battles and we see the mountain before us but we going fight it together. We going fight it together and we go climb the mountain together now. SO IT GO PEOPLE THAT IS IT Kish mighty God what a something sweet on the mountain riding high.
A fitting song for this morning. E a fitting song.
We just want ask God Almighty to cover our leader and just continue to protect him as in lead this noble party up the mountain we say with him.
So woman decent SPIKE HEEL, TAKE OFF THE SPIKE HEEL AND PUT ON SNEAKERS UP THE MOUNTAIN. WE ARE GO AND MAN WE STAND NEXT TO HIM AND SUPPORT HIM AS WE MOVE THE MOUNTAIN BEFORE US. UP THE MOUNTAIN WE ARE GO.
Gone were the days when we only have 14 seats in there and them have 49 and could have bully we and push around.
THANK YOU KAM. BIG UP ON YOURSELF. All of the giftters in the house. Love, love, love. They used to bully the 14 AND NOW WE 28 STRONG.
We see the opposition and hold them to account. has them as them. The only thing can use is them 35 majority. Yeah. And pass what they want pass. But we know the people of Jamaica stand firm with the 28 of us. YEAH. SO MAKE THEM GO AND PASS THE LAWS THEM WITH THEM 35 because we need must form government. And as soon as PNP form government, we going to roll back all of the dirty laws them with them put in place. Let me say me say as soon as the PNP take power reigns of this government, we are going to roll back the dirty laws them where Andrew Hol is put in place to throw up the people in this country. See they see it there. SEE IT THERE. ONE MORE UNIVERSE.
OH GOD. THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU.
THANK YOU. SEXY COLA Jesus say God bless you something sweet. Thank you Janelle. Big up yourself.
God bless you know all the gifts them.
Yes man. So people must put in work and do what's right and let your fruits of your labor people gift you. People come and I beg people and I make you look like you give people things for pong.
No, people must look on the work that you're doing and reward you openly, deservingly.
Not to COME AND I BEG and I beg and force people to dip and give what they don't have. No, you must wait your turn and make God bless them and then then can bless you with the little way God bless them. Not to come morning, noon and night and I beg and I beg and I beg like you give people things to put on who must be grateful and that is the reason why God will always bless some of us more than some because we are not grateful and if come on make one $10 today feel like tomorrow come make back the same $10. No, that's why God take them blessing no grateful but you say uncle Pablo the Jimmy swag big you go mix up big up for yourself I love I love and appreciate the support everybody but guys I want to head into a segment New year we are going to head over to West Miland.
Good morning to all the West Milandlanders in the house.
Eastern, West Miland, Central and Western, the whole parish, the PNP takeway back from the Labor Party.
And so Jamaica, we want to listen to the mayor of West Morland because the minister of local government, Desmond McKenzie, came out and made some serious accusations.
How then give the mayor this and the mayor stall the building recovery and the mayor this and the mayor that. So Mr. Mayor Dan Ray Delansancy is the mayor for West Miland and we want to listen to what mayor Dan Ray Dansancy have to say pertaining to the minister Desmond McKenzie. So the member for Denam town, Desmond McKenzie, came out and made some accusations where the mayor for West Milan is concerned. And so Jamaica, I think it is well within the right comrades and no idiots to respond.
Yeah. Whenever they are being accused.
So I want you guys to listen. Who can grab a drink? But grab a drink. Who can grab one snack? Grab a snack. Can the office listen to me? Make no boss hearing the ear pods ears just laugh out loud and make people think say go off.
But right now we going listen to the mayor of West Morland. Yeah. Exposing the truth.
We the PNP don't know anything else but to expose the truth. Especially them comrades here that's listening and following to the Mark Jefferson Golding camp.
Respect to Porsha, respect to PJ and Peter Phillips. But right here now Mark Jefferson Golding comrades me talk to Yeah. I want you to listen to the mayor of West Miland and his response to the minister for Denham Town, Desmond McKenzie. I want you guys to shift focus and >> the minister of local government said that all shelteries would move out of schools by the 8th of May.
Obviously some things never happen and they are blaming the West Milan municipal cooperation.
We have on the line is worship the mayor Dan Reed Dansancy of Savar worship. Good evening.
>> All right. Good afternoon.
How is it down in West Milan sir?
Yeah.
The the the road to recovery for most of our people down in West is a very slow and painful one.
>> Wow.
>> We are we at the brink basically at the brink of of the new of the new hurricane season.
>> Mhm.
>> And we still have people who are basically living nowhere. Still have a blue ping as the roof. Still have no walls, no furnishing, nothing.
And those people who were living in the shelters, the minister said it was your fault.
It was the municipal corporation fault.
Why the people them move out of the building them and why the platforms for the container houses were not built? How do you plead?
Well, I would I would in responding to that, I would like to to to to basically give a brief backdrop brief backdrop to to to to the whole scenario because it goes deeper than the and the minister than um what the minister is portraying.
>> Yes. And that's why you're here this evening to to clear the air.
>> Okay. Yes. So the minister, the minister and the ministry from late January uh sometime in January formulated a memor memorandum of understanding in Kingston and sent it down for us to just sign and go through with it.
>> Mhm. It's supposed to have been a memorandum of understanding signed by the ministry, the food for the poor and the West Morland mineral corporation.
We um after looking at the MOU decided that um as we saw where it was um had a lot of gaps and could have left us in a very bad position. One in terms of funding and two in terms of land tenure, three in terms of um approvals in terms of um um subdivision, three health concerns, four infrastructural concerns.
>> Wow, that's a lot.
>> So, yes, ma'am. So we we we we wrote to the to to the ministry expressing our concerns and asked that theou be amended.
After a lot of back and forth, some amendments went down especially to clause number nine which said that we were basically responsible for financing the project.
>> That's the munoration was responsible corporation right >> for financing.
>> That's what it was saying.
>> Mhm. That's what that's what he was saying on paper. But when we spoke to the minister, he was saying that no um they have had a cabinet agreement and and um and and minister of finance will be providing the money. So we said no this is on paper. We wanted to change to reflect that.
>> Yes.
>> So change change was made. So if a change was made despite the fact that we still weren't completely completely satisfied with everything in the MOU but um bearing in mind the plight of the people in the shelters we went along and we signed >> yes >> after we signed told that the that food for the poor had pulled out of theou >> and and I've been made to understand yes I've been made to understand that some of the same their reason pulling out surround of the same concerns that we have. Bear in mind one that food for the poor is an international organization and they do not do any form of construction on lands for any beneficiary unless such beneficiary has proof of ownership can display proof of ownership or written proof of permission to to utilize the land.
And I have been made to understand that that was that was not your sticking point.
>> That's that's the understand that that's come to me. I have no proof to say yes is so but I have received information.
That is one of the main reasons why why they pulled out of the MOU.
>> Right.
>> There were also health concerns because where the where the site is located is very close to R river and R river has a history of tified outbreak.
So we wanted we wanted good and proper sewage treatment and disposal facilities to be included in the plan as well.
So eventually we heard that a lot would have been would have been contained there. So the first one of the first um input that we got said 75 lots 75 to be built.
>> Then it came down to 50 and now we are at 20.
>> What? And we're told that the the estimate is 82 million but our technical department was estimating the whole thing at approximately 160 million. We also expressed concerns over that.
>> Anyway, eventually minister got angry.
He had sent down 40 million for for works to commence um for for work for work to be paid works to be paid for.
>> Yes. Bearing in mind that works the ministry or the minister engage a contractor to start work on the site before bringing us into the into into the picture.
>> Oh, >> we weren't responsible for engaging any contractor.
>> So you were and a very and a very maybe a very leaky one at that how they were doing it. H talk to me.
>> Right. So after they had contracted someone verbally I get to understand to start work then they came to us. There's no environment assessment done nothing nothing it was breach after breach after breach.
So we were reluctant to sign. He got angry and sent back for the 40 million.
So we sent it back to him.
>> Yes.
So we thought that was the end of the story until again now we were told that food4 has now backed out >> at a meeting in Kingston the minister informed me that um they're going to be doing a a new thing now they're going to be using um container houses and and it's going to be 20 units. So hold on, hold on. It wasn't container.
Hold on. Hold on. Your worship. Hold on.
Your worship. It wasn't container houses at the start.
>> No, it was it was you need to be built on on on location through food for the poor.
>> Oh, food for the poor houses first. Oh.
So that when it was that that time it was what 60 or 80?
>> It was 70 first then 50.
>> Oh.
>> So after food for the poor exited it came out to 20.
Hey, >> right container houses.
>> So I said to the minister in Kingston, it would be a better idea to give these 20 houses to the beneficiaries prepare the the pad the location for them individually and gave them because everybody was living somewhere before.
>> Yes.
>> Right.
And I'm saying that by doing this ministry will save money because they won't have to put in any sewage any system.
>> Yes.
>> You want have to put in the road put in the water when they put in the electricity.
And I said no no no no.
>> Yeah. Yeah.
>> He's putting the containers over there.
>> Money want.
>> I tried again to point out to him the advantage of giving the people them the the containers at their place. Say if a man currently doesn't have any land >> just a pause the people you hear what the mayor tell the country the mayor is saying right that a food for the poor first came to the rescue to give back the people them house in West Milan.
Yeah, it seems as though the mayor FOR KINGS FOR FOR FOR UM THE the West Milan Municipal Corporation refused to sign an agreement because what was in that agreement is not what Desmond McKenzie is honoring.
SO YOU CANNOT blame the municipal corporation for the slow pace of granting house to these people. The blame must be laid squarely at the foot of Desman McKenzie. HOW DESMOND McKenzie go send $40 million go down there and then take it back as if the money belongs to him.
Eh, how is IT THAT YOU GO AND SEND MONEY GO DOWN there and and you realize the mayor Dan Ray Delans send it back because him no drama with no corruption and money.
SO HIM SEND IT BACK AND DESMOND TAKE BACK THE MONEY. YEAH. AND CHANGE THE PROGRAM THE THE MAYOR. SO INSTEAD OF THEM GETTING 75 HOUSE NOW IT DROPPED FROM 75 to 50 and now it dropped from 50 now to 20. What is going on Jamaica?
Eh so that MEANS SAY FOOD FOR THE POOR where they go look out for more people getting benefit. The Jamaica Labor Party Yeah. work against the food for the poor. So now ONLY 20 PEOPLE LOOK HOW THE JAMAICA Labor Party is wicked and spiteful all because say the parish of West Milan voted against the Jamaica Labor Party. FOOD FOR THE POOR GIVE THEM 75 house and Desman McKenzie go behind food for the poor BACK AND CHANGE THAT CONTRACT. SO THAT MEAN SAY A 75 HOUSE spot supposed to be paved for those 75 house and Desmond McKenzie use the money to do otherwise and I go send only 40 million when his people should have get 180 million. Yeah. Listen to the mayor and set the record straight.
The mayor even said to the me to the to the minister, all of these persons who have been affected and I go get the house, they were living somewhere before the hurricane. Them have them own sewage system, them have them own water, everything was there. So why not put this house back where these people used to live?
THE MAYOR SAID THAT DESMOND MCKENZIE OBJECT AND SAID NO. SO TELL ME NOW JAMAICA HOW MUCH IT GO COST TAXPAYERS?
YEAH. To pay for go dig PIT FOR PAY NOW FOR GO PUT IN sewage system FOR PAY MORE MONEY NOW FOR GO DIG trench for run water go this place. When these persons were living somewhere before where all they have to do now IS JUST PUT BACK A HOUSE STRUCTURE on the spot where their house usually sits. Desmond McKenzie is hellbent in squandering and spending these money. Eh, tell me now Jamaica, it gets worse.
Listen here.
It better for us to to lease help him lease a piece of land and put it.
>> Yeah.
>> But decided that they wanted to create um this um >> container park >> container park or something um along that line. Who owns this piece of land?
Who owns this piece of land that they want to put the containers on?
>> SCJ.
>> Oh, sugar. Sugar people them >> sugar. Right.
>> So, it's government lands.
>> So, the they they went minister went ahead now and drafted a a a a contract to be signed between us and a contractor. We looked at the contract and and again we had we had um concerns.
We wrote to the ministry and we um outlined the concerns. We had telephone conversations with technocrats in the ministry and they said they understand our concerns and all that.
>> Yes.
>> And um but the person with the most concerns happened to be um the persons in our technical department.
>> Yes.
>> Our our engineers.
>> Yes.
>> Right. And um apart from land ownership which was just a sticking point um there other technical aspects about the whole thing that that that that what was bing us. So eventually um after letters and um very bad conversations over telephone all that and meeting we decide to sign >> in good faith in the best interest of the shelteries. Yes, >> we don't want to stand in the way of people getting over the head bearing in mind that the hurricane season the next hurricane season is being done upon us >> days away.
>> So So we did that and then immediately after that the contractor sent in a bill. So just just like the 21st of of April, the contractor sent a bill on the 22nd of April.
>> One day after are you exaggerating your worship?
>> Sorry. Are you exaggerating? One day after you sign the contract, >> right? And then um our technical department was said um they cannot sign off on this because one um technically so much work have been done in one day.
So this kind of set up to audit scrutiny and two we have to um we have to go there and and and and and and check the work to ensure that it it has been satisfactorily done.
>> Hold on this hold on your >> worship this contractor. Yes. If you're just joining us listeners and viewers, we're talking with his worship, the mayor Dansi of Sablamar, chairman of the West Milan Municipal Cooperation. And just for context, I want to remind you that West Milan was one of the hardest it in hurricane Melissa. Continue worship.
>> Right. So um we have to frugally go through these projects and then um the the the the technical department would have needed time now to go and check the work to ensure that the work has been satisfactory done before signing off on these works >> and to make a payment >> and and to make and then and then to make a payment and once the technical department does not sign off on the works no payment can be made And under the local governance act, no one cannot force the technical department, not even the minister himself, the mayor, the CEO, the minister, no one cannot force a technical department to sign off on works until they are satisfied.
>> Yes.
>> About the work.
>> So that is where we add the sticking point and I must point out that the contractor doing the works is a reputable contractor of course.
>> Yes.
>> He he has a good track record track record in the parish. Mhm.
>> But nonetheless, the the the technical department will have to go out and ensure that what is on paper is actually what is out there in the field.
>> Exactly.
>> So what happened after some time? No, that that took some time and and the contractor was eventually paid.
>> Mhm.
>> But the the minister was communicated to and was told the process and what was happening. But I guess minister became um jittery and vex cross and miserable >> after MP vase pointed out some shortcomings with the two teacher cottages. two two teacher cottages that were prepared or being prepared um for a to be a temporary housing solution for the for the the shelteries at the Petville High School bearing in mind that um the houses um these 20 houses a long term is a longer term thing >> and and and the deadline of May 8th was fast approaching and the minister did not want to miss another deadline.
>> At at what stage was it decided that the teachers cottage would have been the place that the people would go to?
>> Um first let me point out that the West M corporation was none whatsoever involved in in the refurbishing of the teachers cottages.
>> Yeah. Yeah.
>> Neither the principal cottage or the teachers cottage. We were not involved in in the in refurbishing work there.
>> Were you aware that >> aware of who the contractor is?
>> Were you aware that that was the place that they were going?
>> Yes. Yes.
>> At what stage you were made? We we're we're aware we're made aware um I would say at least two weeks before >> okay >> before before deadline but we were but we were we were not asked to be a part of that process. The ministry took that on and um and and got their contractor our contractors but the minister is playing that picture as if we we were involved in that and we were not involved in that aspect of it any at all.
>> Yeah. Yeah. The only contractor with whom we have been involved is the one preparing the site to include the bases to accommodate the 20 container units in Shrewsbury West.
But the refurbishing of the of the two cottages on the compound of the Petersfield High School, >> you had no role. We were not in any shape or form involved in replurishing works on those two buildings.
>> Listeners and viewers were talking to his worship the mayor Mr. Dansi the mayor of Savlamar and chairman of the West Milan Municipal Corporation.
Your worship let's let's look at the hurricane recovery. I am aware it's my understanding that within the parish council there is a office of disaster preparedness there's a agent in your in the parish in the municipal cooperation.
>> Yeah. Yeah. Well, we we we are we have um our disaster preparedness management committee and we have a disaster preparedness coordinator who I must say have been performing well.
>> Mhm. Given the the the the limited resources she has at her disposal sometime sometimes no resource whatsoever and the fact also that is it is that unit is basically a one man or a one woman unit so to speak. So, so hold on your worship.
>> In a in a in a recovery like this, a hurricane recovery, isn't it that the municipal cooperation in collaboration with that agent should be playing a major role in assisting the citizens of West Milan?
Well, what we we have had to be doing, we have had to withdrawing um persons or employees from other departments who um whenever we can to assist with the running of of of that of that office. But uh but we have we we have a committee there's a committee in place. Mhm.
>> We have the emergency operation center that is man by a committee and this committee is basically a subcommittee of the of of of the disaster preparedness management committee which is a full committee of council and it comprises um other stakeholders such as the JDF, the JCF fire brigade, SDC etc. So what kind of assistance you've been getting from central government? Is central government working through the parish council to deal with the disaster relief of the people in your parish?
>> You know, in terms of relief, you know, um I mean I I haven't seen much of that.
I can tell you that um I know of age I know of age division being allocated $250,000 >> um for hurricane relief to purchase hurricane relief material and stuff hurricane relief supplies immediately after the uh after the passage of of hurricane Melissa >> 250,000 >> of that per division that works would um if you stretch the money you can get about 50 you could get about 50 care packages.
>> Hold on hold on hold on your worship how many divisions are in your parish?
>> 14.
>> You have 14 division but your parish is one of the hardest it parish.
>> It was the hardest it >> and you are saying it was the hardest it parish.
>> Yeah.
>> Of the hurricane.
And >> that's where landfall open white house area >> the elected representatives the local representative within the parish only get 250,000 each >> right >> that's less than 2,000 US worship >> 200,000 Jamaican >> and then and then and then for hurricane cleanup >> um from from our special grant funding at at at the coast We we were able to to provide 500,000 per division for emergency work in in in each division.
>> So both for clean up and relief a counselor not get a million dollar yet.
>> No. But not talking me and then you worship that cannot be so.
>> And then um we encourage the counselors from before the hurricane from threatening until after we encourage the counselors to use um money from their per revenue fund allocation.
>> Yeah.
um for for preparation work and also for clean up after math as well again.
So the clean up after was a was an ongoing process.
>> Have you met with the prime minister since the hurricane you worship?
>> No.
>> Yeah. Yeah.
>> What?
>> Yeah. Yeah. the prime minister came the prime minister came to flew and went to every every other parish basically was that wasffect affected you know except at the time and I saw in the media when they said when people were were were um expressing outrage of him not coming to the media they said that there was nowhere to land >> so you worship >> you are the media >> you are the prime minister's representative in the parish based on protocol.
The mayor represents the prime minister, the custo represents the governor general and you are saying a category 5 hurricane hit West Mullan and you have not met with the prime minister yet?
>> No.
>> Jesus Christ.
>> No, not at all. Are you the person leading the recovery in the in the parish the >> from from a minister of corporation standpoint >> because the corporation you know is a legal is a legal entity >> that's why I'm asking if you are the person leading the recovery >> right >> are you sir are you leading the recovery in the parish >> yes the chairman of corporation >> have you been given the necessary have you been given the necessary resources to do your work?
>> Definitely not.
>> Definitely not.
>> My god.
>> And I don't think I don't think it will be forthcoming. Let's not fool ourselves, you know. Let's not fool ourselves. What do you mean by all about the politics, you know?
>> It's what?
>> It's all about the politics. The politics.
>> So I'm not fooling myself.
>> What do you mean it's all about politics? What politics can be playing when people are suffering labor rights?
We want the people of Jamaica for hear.
So all uno labor right for all of you who feel like say all is well in a parish area district life goes on for listen to what the mayor is saying own brother and sister from Westman. We are all Jamaicans and all because Westman voted against this government. We want to listen to how the Jamaica Labor Party is treating West Mullan Parish in particular. When people come and talk just feel like alive. People tell Listen to the mayor himself. The mayor said these things. Where is Desmond McKenzie this afternoon? PNP and no P at all.
What politics you talking about your worship?
No, tell the people right now. Right now, there's over 1,200 people on this platform listening to you from Jamaica and abroad. Talk to the people. Tell them what you say.
>> But Mr. Mel, if if if the paran is is the artist, it perish right by the hurricane. Yes. and has been treated in such a way bearing in mind that the parish parish is represented by three MP national party which is in opposition and also um in the last government election the parish um the PNP won 11 of 14 seats right and it has a misma corporation led by a by by the people's national party all right and all going on the resources is not the what is that is required is not coming through it is it leads one to only see that and to conclude that it is politics being practice or been played >> are you accusing the prime minister of victimizing the people of West Milan sir >> I'm not accusing I'm not accusing anyone of anything I'm saying this polics been played >> your worship How many houses have been delivered to the people of West Milan from central government by your information?
>> By my information, I know that five six um bases have been prepared.
>> Ask you about houses your worship.
>> Hold on. I know that six bases have are ready to take container houses at the Shrewsbury site.
As far as I know, as far as I know, as far as I know, let me answer.
>> As far as I know, none has been delivered.
>> Jesus Christ.
>> Whatever houses that have been delivered to persons in in West Morland, they have my knowledge have been done through private efforts.
>> Yeah. Yeah. So you worship the mayor of Savlamar, chairman of the municipal corporation, councelor Denry Dansi. Did I get it right?
>> Danry.
>> Danry Dansi. You are saying to the people of Portland Spice and to the world that to date as chairman of the municipal cooperation, you are not aware of the government delivering any house to any citizen of West Milan.
>> I am not aware.
>> Jesus Christ.
You are also saying to the people listening to this program at this time that you have not gotten sufficient funding to assist the people of West Milan.
>> Most definitely I'm saying that.
>> Wow.
How much money you get from central government so far through the cos >> to assist the people? to assist the people after hurricane Melissa.
>> I told you,000 Mr. Bill interrogated me sir.
>> Hold on.
>> I don't want nobody say >> per per division. Ask me the same question again.
>> Hold on. No, but I don't want nobody say I carry on again.
>> No want nobody say car comrade friend.
We have set up the government you know.
So we want get it clear. So it's it's 250,000 lians.
>> Hold on. It's $250 over and over. It sounds like interrogation.
>> Hold on, man. Then me have to interrogate my friend. 250,000 times 14.
That's $3.5 million for the parish hardest it. How many what? How many citizens are there? No, I told that that that that that money that money was for for hurricane relief packages. And then I went further and told you that from our um our emergency funding each each um >> no but that that emergency funding,000 >> that emergency funding hold on that emergency funding is from the municipal corporation itself is it or was that no man that that is what we get over um every month you get a PRF allocation per revenue fund. So that's not >> part of that is FR special grant request.
>> So that's not from central government.
That didn't come from central government.
>> It came from central government um previously accounts. So every month you get your PRF allocation and then PRF is broken broken down to other into several subheadings.
>> Yeah.
>> One of which is SGS special grant special grant request which is emergency funding.
So you keep that until you have an emergency. Say for example now if have bad weather and a particular road is cut in two.
>> Yes.
>> And people are marooned if you have funds in the SG we can use that now to to to to um remedy quick and fast repairs and elevate elevate the the suffering and stress on the on the people who have been cut off. There's a we had some funding in that and we use that now 500,000 per division.
>> So that's another 7 million.
>> Right.
>> So from hurricane till now the counselors all together got about 10.5 million for the entire parish.
>> Totally right.
>> There there's a special fund there's a special fund. Hold on hold on your worship. There's a special fund that the minister has to release. I don't remember what it name. What's that?
What's the name of that fund?
>> Equalization fund.
>> Yes. Have you gotten any of that?
>> No. Well, the the the money that is now being used to to prepare the shoes sites is coming from the equalization fund.
>> But but the but no come directly to the council for you to disperse in whatever way you see fit.
>> Not a not a single solitary scent. No.
Wow.
>> How do you feel as the mayor of West Milan not getting the kind of resources that you would expect after a major the hardest disaster to ever hit Jamaica in our lifetime? Not getting the kind of resource. How do you feel today?
>> I feel that as if the people of West Morland are being victimized.
I feel that the people of West Morland land are being are being punished based on on their political leadings.
>> Wow.
>> I feel that um the people of West have not been given the level of respect that they deserve.
>> The hurricane season you worship is a few days away.
What will happen if, god forbid, another hurricane come down your side of the island? How you think the people would fear based on their sit their living situation now?
>> It's going to be rough as for one for one um currently I'd say at least 70% of our shelters are in no are in are in no shape or form.
Yeah. Yeah.
>> To accommodate shelteries.
>> God.
>> So most of our shelters based on report from our disaster preparedness coordinator, most of our shelters cannot be utilized at this time. Right. And we still have a large amount of persons without a roof over their head. A lot a number of people even up to Monday a lady um in the parish capital was asking me for toping because every time it rains um water comes in through the top the top of become worn.
So I'm here hoping and praying that this year we don't have another hurricane.
you're praying because I don't know what will happen to resp I want to really and truly you know pause here >> and say thanks to the private city citizens private entities overseas partners overseas friends who saw it fit to come in and lend a hand to the people of West Morland when Lewis and our weakest had it been for individuals and for donor organizations coming in and lender the disaster the effects of the disaster would have been far worse on us here in West Morland. So I really have to say thanks.
>> Yes. And at the same time say to your listeners out there if there's anyone out there who is minded to offer some assistance to the people of respond who are still in need. Please do not hesitate.
Do not hesitate. They can either make contact with the respond corporation.
>> Yes. or they can they can come down themselves and seek out persons who are in need of such assistance >> your worship >> right whichever they choose to they choose to to utilize >> yes >> um any act of kindness any gesture of kindness at this time will be highly appreciated >> but how do you feel to find out that the government is sitting on $1.44 44 billion dollar donated by Jamaicans local and abroad and people who had pity for the Jamaican people and they have not spent that money. How you feel about that?
>> I I was just about to mention that you know that when I read the report um stated that only one point approximate 1.8% >> yes 1.8% have been spent.
of the money has been sp of donations have been spent so far. I had to I had to read about three times think that I was really seeing what I was what was really seen was was was um actually 1.8%.
And it's it it left me with a raw feelings. I'm of that has now strengthened my view and opinion that this government is uncaring.
This government is selfish and this government only puts themsel first. I remember them come camp campaigning and saying that um this will be the people's term or something like that. Yeah, >> Jamaica Jamaica's term for that is the case. I'm wondering who or what is Jamaica? What what are Jamaicans? Because this money was indeed donated to help um benefit the people of Jamaica and it is sitting there. I don't know in whose account arguing what but trust me this is really really a great injustice.
This is really a great injustice and on the part of those who have the powers and those of the control over over these donations, right? And um I'm sure that the donors must be very unhappy about it and they must be be regretting the day when they sent these donations directly to the government and maybe not to to some local organizations because I know I know for a fact that um people of people who have donated and send the donations to organizations on the ground and these donations have reached the people that it was intended to reach.
>> You worship?
>> It is really sad.
>> I I remember you told me I had a 6:00 meeting, so I'm not going to keep you much longer.
>> Yes.
>> But approximately what percentage of the population of West Milan is still living on toping today?
>> Uh okay. in East Susan over 500,000 qu over 500 over sorry 5,000 houses were affected um most of that 5,000 houses were completely destroyed and currently I say near about 25% of these persons have received some assistance from the government so far >> 25% >> so I'd say I'd say 25% have received assistance based on you to my understanding.
>> So 75% of those who were affected still might be on the top 75% of those who lost their houses completely.
>> Wow.
>> Um luckily some of these persons found the means and ways to to maybe you might have three or four apartment house.
>> Yes. and they find a way to fix one the roof and one or two of the of these of of these rooms.
But I know persons were still living in a tent.
>> Wow.
>> Person who are still under your >> So it is it is still it is still a very a very rough situation.
Um and I tell you something also, some parts of of the parish is also suffering from um rain in terms of flooding because this year since since the hurricane we have been having constant rain so to speak and in in places like during the months of March and April it have been traditionally dry not this time around.
So as we get some rain now in parts of of of a parish like SAR which you know is um sits at or below sea level.
>> Mhm.
>> Um and the side is so saturated as it rains for 10 minutes you have flooding on the streets but luckily um most times it runs off back quickly.
Um I was anticipating that we would have received funding for a special drain cleaning program >> by now to prepare for the hurricane season.
Nothing to do. Nothing at all.
>> Mhm.
>> Your worship you have a position in the parish of leadership as you go. Why me I tell you Jamaica he rough it rough but me glad the mayor come out come speak the truth because we have been having enough of the headlines too much headlines by Desmond McKenzie and Nester Morgan and Marlon Morgan and the gatekeepers.
This is bad Jamaica.
And I don't think the mayor would be so wicked to come out and speak the truth.
And I have all right to believe the mayor over Desmond McKenzie because Desmond McKenzie don't really have the the the the the um what you call it now to speak the truth. It don't have a reputation of truthfulness. So I don't have any doubt to believe this mayor for Savar. It is bad Jamaica.
This is terrible.
Completely terrible.
E can you imagine up to now the mayor said the prime minister have not had a sit down with the prime minister. And now the prime minister have a sit down with the mayor.
E tell me now Jamaica if them something you're right.
Eh tell me if these things right Jamaica it's unacceptable.
Totally unacceptable.
Well, Jamaica, while some flourish, some is living lavish or what I would call some some seems to get them pard.
So when I return from the break, give me a minute and a half, we see why Mr. Vegas was supporting the Jamaica Labor Party with Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you for waiting. Thank you for your patience.
Now, Jamaica, it seems like Vegas getting partner draw.
And now we get to understand why he was supporting the Jamaica Labor Party. Apparently based on what I saw.
Yeah.
Jesus my rock. Who is doing a good job?
Jesus my rock. Who is doing a good job?
Answer me know Jesus my rock. You say he is doing a good job. And I'm asking you who is doing a good job. Oh, you're referencing to me. Okay.
Um, thank you. Now, Vegas apparently posted a video and he's on some parcel of land where he's seeing to be I not accusing him of anything. So to all the monitoring spirits where a screen record me to send lawsuit, I am here to ask the questions. Yeah, I'm not here to accuse anybody, but based on what I saw and persons congratulating and Vegas is asking persons to come and develop and buy pieces of land. I don't know who give him these parcels of land whether it belong to him. Yes or no, I don't know.
But he's claiming that some form of land development is going to happen here and it is his investment according to him and he's asking persons to come and buy lots.
We don't know if he got these lots from the government but all we know he's there encouraging persons and persons are congratulating him. Well, to the best of my knowledge, I know his brother is a developer and the brother have been doing some work for the prime minister's wife ups. So, we don't know if the brother let him in on some of the dealings with the government. I don't know and I don't care. But it seems to me like Vegas getting partner draw.
Hence the reason why he was seen on the bandwagon and the stage of the Jamaica Labor Party. And I going to say congratulations to you, sir. I'm just hoping that the people of this country Yeah. don't be swindled into a scam where they have to pay millions. Yeah.
For parcels of land and then you realize that it is a bogus piece of land.
And I wish to say no more on that matter. Now people moving on. I realize that Jamaica moving on.
I realize that the Gleer is reporting that the government has outvoted the opposition to secure another 57 billion from the National Housing Trust.
And I would love to ask the labor rights them if them no shame.
Huh?
I would love to ask the supporters of the Jamaica Labor Party if them no shame.
The Jamaica Labor Party outvoted the opposition in parliament to secure another 57 billion from the NHT. And the question I want to ask the labor rights them this afternoon, these are the same persons, you know, who get up every single day and cuss the PNP. I said the PNP has not done anything for Jamaica, but yet still they continue to use every single institution created by the PNP to stay afloat. want to ask if no shame eh we really want to ask the labor rights them if them no shame this afternoon every day get up and no c bring down the people's national party and say they have not done anything for this country for the 18 years they were in power but yet still every single opportunity you know get continue to use yeah these institution created by the PNP to stay afloat. Help me make it make sense. No, the PNP not do nothing for the country but yet still at the institution where the PNP them create look to today. Yeah.
To keep yourself a float. Have you guys have no shame? Help me make it make sense now. Every day I c PNP PNP do nothing and they in a power for 18 years and they do nothing. But yet still we know continue to use every single institution created by the PNP to stay afloat.
Huh?
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Breaking news. Police shut down on live a tourist at Sangsters airport.
at the right shoot tourist only hope the country from when he or she visit from took up this take this matter into hand.
Mhm.
Breaking news.
Brat is saying that police on a live a tourist at the Sangster International Airport. Well, let us see the outcome of this one.
H and let me see if the visitors country demand answers from sis this government of Jamaica.
They must insist they get some answers.
Now Jamaica, the most deserving persons who pay them NHT will never get a house after money is being withdrawn from their salary.
And I personally feel to how the Jamaica Labor Party have destroyed the NHT.
Yeah.
When it comes on to the NHT, I personally believe say paying NHD should be optional.
Yeah. We have persons that pay NHD 16, 17, 20 years and all know them can't qualify forget to need a house or piece of land from the NHD. So what sense it make?
I believe paying NHD should be optional.
Some we come see with parents and we grandparents have one piece of land or have one house and we want one room.
Why me work? I you take NHT out of my money and live somewhere come see me grandparents dead piece of land. Whether me want [ __ ] up something it yes or no.
Why you take out NHT out of my money and when me contribute for all these years and go ask for some form of assistance tell me say me not qualify what deems me qualified or unqualified to get a NHT loan. How is it that the average poor Yeah.
cannot get any benefit from NHT.
But the rich person who is far better off than the poor can go to NHT because them have millions sit down and get through with one NHT loan or piece of land or one house. Are you the poor who have been making contribution? So basically the government ride the back of the poor to continue build the rich. Help me make it make sense.
Help me to make it make sense. Jamaica, those persons who already have it far better off.
Yeah. Can go to the NHT and apply to get assistance from the NHT. The NHT was put in place to help the average poor to own a home, not for those who are rich and in society and can afford to buy a piece of land or buy. I personally believe that the NHT needs a complete overhaul because once you prove your bank statements to the NHT that you are well off and can afford to buy a piece of land, the NHT shouldn't give you any money. You should use what you already have and go and buy a piece of land and buy one house and start your life and leave the funds at the NHT for the poor man who is ablebodied to continue to work who have many years left in them to work to get the loan to go buy piece of land pay house and meanwhile them get the loan. Yeah. then can continue to work, continue to work and pay them mortgage and pay back the NHT. NHT must stop give persons who have millions of them bank account. I don't see it's making any sense. The National Housing Trust was designed to help poor people and that's why Michael Manley put it there to help the average poor. He never put the NHS there to the to give to the rich who already have house and land and properties.
It breaks my heart today Jamaica to see what Andrew Hoess and the Jamaica Labor Party has done with the National Housing Trust. It is so bad that them have to use them majority 35 to bully the opposition's 28. Yeah. to make it law to change the law where they can further go to the NHT to draw down another $57 billion of you and I money. That $57 billion could have stayed there where a average poor man or a poor woman can go there and ask them for a loan to pay down on a house or to pay down on a piece of land because them work on in one job and every month can pay the little mortgage or pay back the loan.
That is why the NHT was there. Why is it that the Jamaica Labor Party going to take up 57 billion dollar of taxpayers money to fund them budget? It is unacceptable and it is wrong. And I hope the people of this country is paying keen attention.
Like help me to make it make sense.
I believe that once you come to the NHT and you show them your bank statement that you have much money in your bank, you they must turn you down immediately because you are not poor.
Once you have a certain amount of money in your bank account, YOU MUST USE THAT MONEY in your bank account. Go buy your piece of land and go pay up ON YOUR HOUSE. DON'T COME TO THE POOR institution to get funding and you already have money in your bank account.
It is wrong.
And I heard Dayton Campbell made a perfect statement the other day in parliament. He is a doctor. Yeah, he is making it. He's way off. And you have the nurse, you have the little porter man who is way below the doctor's salary. And it is easy for him, the doctor who is far better off to go to the NHT and get through with a loan.
Yeah. And if the porter man or the little nurse go to the NHT, they are turned down, not qualified. What sense it makes.
The Jamaica Labor Party has destroyed the National Housing Trust.
Persons who already have it are far better off and call themselves developers.
Why not use them money develop them land? Why them have to go to the NHT for use the NHT money to fund them development? Why?
And that is what the Jamaica Labor Party have used the NHT today to accomplish something that it never meed out to accomplish. It is wrong. And I hope the people of this country are opening their eyes.
Eh, and to make matters worse, all of this money that Andrew Holes take out of the NHT, 57 billion, who is going to repay that money?
Who is going to pay it back?
Eh, this is one of the biggest scam I have ever seen.
Imagine all these years someone left high school university as left school. So go and take up work when not work for years when first paycheck boomers look on it.
NIS tax pay as you earn. P A Y, NHT tax, this your tax that the tax and you have been paying NHD paying NHT every single fortnite every month and you have been working for 10, 15, 20, 30 years and when you decide to go to the NHT them I tell you say you not qualify. Eh your contributions thus far no qualify you. I believe once an individual is ablebodied they are working them have many more years ahead of them and them are work they should be able to go to the NHT and say this is my intention me see one piece of land I sell or me see one of the NHT house I am working I have good um standing with the bank here is my job see me not me good job here and this is my salary for the fortnight or for the month. I would love for the assistance to purchase this land and if the land cost $7 million, you know, say if I even half of that, the NHT can give them you throw your little partner hand.
You know, Jamaicans like to hustle. You can't able get a start.
Why is it that the Jamaica Labor Party has destroyed the National Housing Trust and make it so easy for the rich to able to get funding. But the average poor is often turn away and say they are not qualified. But yet still they continue to work and continue to work until the day them dead and they will never be qualified. It is a scam. And I think that the NHT needs to go back to their hallmark to do house for the average poor. But time will come. You know the time will come. Yeah. The time will come. Jamaica.
Moving on.
I saw the member for South St. James once again spoke the absolute truth and nationwide took offense. H birch accuses the house speaker of displaying tendencies akin to women who control their husband. Where is the lie?
What make people get offended when people tell them the truth? Everybody have been saying it. So Julie come in like she bully and rule our man and that is how she she operates. So why the woman speak the truth and tell her as it is?
Yeah. She say something where everybody has said from day one. So why them take offense to it? Isn't it the absolute truth? Eleta behave like woman control their man as some people say. So nothing wrong if MP say it and repeat it. She only say it out aloud.
Not even carry because when you see the truth, nothing overrule the truth. The truth is just the truth.
The truth is just the truth. And when you see persons like Bobby Montue come out and say him defend the pace of providing houses to people affected for Melissa. What a shame.
Look at baby Monteue.
Baby Monteue say he's quite okay with the slow pace.
of providing housing to people affected by Melissa. No shame. You know people shame me say if the people of Jamaica don't wake up starting with this local government election, we going make a sad mistake. And I have no doubt you know that the people of this country have came to the realization. I feel so me feel the people of Jamaica we realize now man say we make a mistake September 3rd it not going to be an easy term for the Jamaica Labor party because up to now they can't get nothing right and nothing they say and do will save them no n this no that no spark no reach no go program nothing that they put in place will determine Yeah. The way forward under Jamaica Labor Party if take out heart and soul the Jamaican people then go ask for li with it because ain't no way that the Jamaican people is happy with the way the Jamaica Labor Party is conducting the affairs of the country.
And I going repeat it again. Me say if take out heart soul and give to the Jamaican people we want peace liver and kidney go with it too can never win back another election in this country never thank you DJ rubber big up yourself eh NOTHING REALIZE NOTHING JAMAICA LABOR PARTY do fix water out this I do not realize it's like Show the goodness of the Jamaica Labor Party do for the country. It's like the blessing of almighty GOD. JUST TURN AWAY FROM THE LABOR PARTY. EH, WE NOT REALIZE THE OPPOSITION TNT. WE NOT COME OUT SAY NOTHING MUCH. We just sit down there watch and I watch God Almighty fight the battles.
REALIZE ME SAY THEN GIVE OUT 100 HOUSE A MORNING. IF THEY FIX ONE ROAD WHICH NEVER HAVE ROAD FROM DAY ONE. IF THEN GIVE PEOPLE WATER WE NEVER HAVE WATER FROM DAY ONE. IS LIKE THEM NOT DO NOTHING AT ALL. Because what the bad that this government continue to do to the people of this country is far way more than the good where them claims to them do god and time mar god and time and so baby mantiku is telling the people of this country that he is quite yourself ready for the weekend so class I wrap up 1:00 all right people is everybody Okay, for class wrapping up at 100 p.m. Stay with me for 15 more minutes class students talk to me no man 300 sit down and look up in me morning come on talk to me no students know teacher love right we wrapping up class at 1:00 all right perfect big up yourself Dave Salmon Ian Nelson Dino big up know love love you know My people, I don't know if anybody saw what the government post on their social media pages.
The Jamaica Labor Party saying thanks to the donors for giving them $1.4 billion in donations.
Yeah.
However, all this is a lie from the pit of hell.
Y'all listen to the lengthy interview done by the mayor of Savlamar Dan Reed Delansi. Here we have $1.4 billion in donation. Yeah. On hear how much money the mayor say he receive.
Yeah.
Where the mayor say $600 million was given to him to make concrete bases for modular homes. Jamaica people tell them SAY THE THE LABOR PARTY ARE SOME WICKED.
You know the man say $250,000 was given to the counselor's them.
250,000 11 counselors are there.
Yeah. For the people's national party in West Milan and each got $240,000.
When you do the maths, it come up to $3.8 million.
The mayor say only six concrete bases were built THUS FAR.
SO HOW THE JAMAICA LABOR PARTY ACCOUNT tell $600 million was spent to build concrete bases for Madrilla homes. Tell me if them people are no wicked. You hear the interview yesterday afternoon the interview was done. So the mayor COULD HAVE NEVER COME OUT COME say these things yesterday and the Jamaica Labor Party come out now I go like say people are idiot $600 million but when you look at what the government is reporting they are saying thanks to our donors.
They have received $1.4 billion.
And I want you to read it slowly till you know get it. What them say them do?
They have what? Received $1.4 billion.
Yes. Now when you look at the post yes they are right absolutely right them receive $1.4 billion but the main question we should be asking did they issued $1.4 $4 billion to the people.
There's a difference between received and issued. You know, there's a difference between issued and re and and and and and received.
So, yes, the Jamaica Labor Party received $1.4 4 billion in donation from the donors from the good art people them. Now of the $1.4 billion how much was issued?
$1.4 billion remember the auditor general come out come say only $26 million was spent 1.8%.
So when come out and make big headlines so receive $1.4 billion. Yes receive $1.4 billion but must tell the people how much you know issue out of their money. Can you imagine people send $1.4 4 billion for help me fix back f roof and the Jamaica Labor Party still sit down pan it can you imagine everybody hearing me lovely M seem to not hearing comment yes if not hear me please students not hear me cuz lovely M cannot hear see everybody else are here except you lovely M so you need to turn off your phone Now my people, there's a difference between received and not issued.
So the question people of Jamaica need to ask, how much of this donation was issued to the people of Jamaica? Yeah.
Moving right ahead, Jamaica.
I don't know what is happening in the Jamaica Labor Party, JCF.
both the deputy or I shouldn't say deputy the assistant commissioner of police Gary McKenzie is letting Jamaicans know this afternoon when a boy or a girl we see them a police pulling over and I ask license registration do not comply.
That is not how police Yeah. was instructed and trained to do their job. Any police boy or girl pull you over. THE ASSISTANT COMMISSIONER OF police tell me this morning say when THEM PULLING OVER THEY TELL WHY them pulling over before them ask you for LICENSE REGISTRATION MAKE NO POLICE BOY OR NO POLICE girl ask you know for no license registration when them pulling over they must TELL YOU THE REASON WHY them pulling over. Good morning. I am so and so and we are conducting spot checks this morning. We have reasons to believe X Y and Z and so we are asking you for a thorough research of your vehicle. May I have your license and registration please?
That is how they were trained. They weren't trained to pull you over and come ask you for license and registration please. No, no, no, no, no.
And so the assistant commissioner of police Yeah. He's saying that the police must state the reason for stopping and searching your vehicle.
Yes.
But then again, how many of us have the knowledge because we don't want to set up no civilian for police murder them because you have some police out there even though they were trained. I know every one of them have the mental capacity to retain all that was was was taught to whatever follow what me I say they were trained you know and they were told what to do but it's like what they were told in the first week it gone from them head so when them graduate and then place them yes all over the country to work it's like they don't remember what was told to them so we don't want to set up No civilian in no argument with no police for when them pull over you ask them what is the reason why them pulling over but you know ask me for me license registration that is the law you pull over a man for search them you must tell them the reason why you're pulling them over and that the assistant commissioner of police is saying this morning but the way in which the tension is so high in this country. I will not advise any civilian to take the advice of the assistant commissioner this morning because we have too much dun in the police force.
Often times I see video circulating where where ordinary men and women know the law more than the police themselves.
How much time see police pull over man turn on video camera and this up police officer and all right for this up know the law and go police college train for all this time civilian know the law more time see it happen but Jamaica you must know your rights and the commissioner saying Yeah, that police must state the reason for stopping and searching. It's not just pull you off the road and say license registration, please. No, you must tell them the reason why you're stopping them. All right?
Kindly state the reason why you are stopping them. It is only right.
still with the police.
It look like somebody hob the police force because no care do is like can't catch a break. Lord have mercy. Jamaica people see this news who the JCF a Jamaica conabulary corporal me regular squad you know or one regular conable mean somebody promoted to corporal that mean go up in the ranks it mean one day one day you soon reach inspector you soon wear cocky uniform and probably soon turn assistant commissioner police. You are a corporal mean you're in the trenches going up.
Yeah. Want know who really the Jamaica conabulary for? Imagine this a criminal charged. Yeah. For gun smuggling.
You mean for tell me say the Jamaica conabulary force go write letter. Eh, you are going to write letter say this is of good character where dirty people come from hellbent for drag down the Jamaica conabulary force all them police officers a bad name tree brother pray God almighty cover them people just make hate police without a reason make them hate police without a reason you No malency repate criminal charge for gun smuggling.
You big tough back police corporal. I go write letter said this is of good character. Dirty people come from the force.
WHO COME FROM THE JAMAICA CONABULARY CORPAL IN THE JAMAICA Constabulary Force has come to the defense of a confessed gun smuggler country right to a federal court in support of the danceall producer where dirty thinking big back police officer them come from hell bent in dragging down the forceless and dirty and Think so. E what make law and decent abiding I don't even know if he said to uno e look all the conabulary force have been through for the past week you come now come put the cherry on top make everybody know say the JCF is a complete tilate e can you imagine a corporal you are no con anymore which means say you have master the craft and then promote you to corporal and you go Put pen to paper and send letter said this is of good character.
Jesus Christ almighty God. They say take the Lord name in vain but not breed it in not play me the Lord name because this in vain. So God send me play out name in vain. Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
E can you imagine in first promotion e the man go put pen to paper despite the man confessing him is a gun smuggler and you saw the need to damage your reputation mighty God of Nazareth just when you thought you would have seen and heard it all the Jamaica Labor Party JCF once more disgrace the country. So you miss your Balenciaga and your goat head around your neck. You a smuggle gun in the country and then catch you. H you call on your top dog and your top boys them. Yeah. And one of them never come to your defense. I put pen to paper say you is of good character. Where the good character about you there? Eh, where is the good character about you? Dance all producer is a national disgrace.
E is a national disgrace.
Me say when the Jamaica Labor Party done with Jamaica, not even the black what the big old black bird discro me said not even Junkra go want fly over Jamaica when the Labor Party done with this country. And I said it with no apology.
Not even junk go and fly over Jamaica.
When the Jamaica Labor Party done with we eh well Jamaica I love you know it was a wonderful wonderful class and I want to thank everybody for lending me their attention and their ears.
Don't forget Jamaica that we are fighting for a cause and we are fighting for our country.
Let us continue to look out one for another and let us continue to champion the message of the people's national party. It was my pleasure Jamaica to be here >> charging. Yeah, it was my absolute pleasure being here to bring you the truth and the facts.
However, Jamaica, we have to come to the realization and take a stance.
It is fine time.
Yeah.
that we take the veil from our eyes that the country is no longer in good hands.
So Jamaica as we head into the weekend once again another terrible week for the Jamaica Labor Party and we wonder what the weekend holds much less the upcoming week for this government.
But be that as it as it may, let us continue to pray for our leader Mark Jefferson Golding and let us continue to support our counselors and our members of parliament.
Let us ask God to give them the guidance and the protection as they carry out their mandate.
For those of us who are not aware, Mark Jefferson Golding has threatened and rightfully so, standing up for the people if Jul does not table the FLA report. He will be taking the matter. Yeah. To court.
What a way to enter the weekend.
Jamaica, it was my pleasure being here.
Take care. Big up on yourself and thank you for the support. Up the mountain we going with Mark Jefferson Golding. We going clear the old crosses and the mountain and the pile before us. We going stand side by side and we go and support him as our leader. And all the woman them wear shoes and spike heel when I go take off the spike heel and put on sneakers as we rub shoulders to shoulder and climb this mountain before us called drilletess.
Yeah. As we bring Jamaica back to its former glory. It was my pleasure being here Jamaica. Up the mountain we
