The Second Amendment was originally designed not only for hunting and self-defense but fundamentally to enable citizens to challenge and resist government tyranny when necessary, as demonstrated by the American Revolution against King George's forces at Concord Bridge.

The Second Amendment Is For Fighting the Government! | Ted Nugent & REP. Chip RoyAdded:
[music] >> He says what everyone else is thinking.
>> I'm dedicated to it. I CAN'T BE STOPPED.
>> YEAH. HEY, SOMEBODY SAY HALLELUJAH. MY name is Ted Nugent. I got this radical extreme reality called We the People where I genuflect at the altar of God, family, Constitution, Bill of Rights, Ten Commandments, Golden Rule, Declaration of Independence, law and order, work ethic, good over evil, self-defense, all that really perfect stuff that people think is radical. And then quite honestly, in the world we live in, in the world we've always lived in, tyrants and kings and emperors, meaning King George and his punks at Concord Bridge came to take our guns, we shot them in the face. Well, violence is never the answer. Well, when they come to take my guns, violence is the answer.
And I've been saying these things forever. Because I never went to college, I was too busy learning stuff.
And I learned that truth, logic, and common sense is the altar upon which I genuflect every day so I can take care of my family and provide with my own independent effervescent masculinity.
Boy, that Nugent's out of control. No, this would Take a good look. This is called perfect control. And I hear Chip Roy talk. Chip Roy represents a congressional district in Texas, the 21st, the magnificent Hill Country, and the embarrassment of San Antonio. Chip Roy, you and I have talked. You were running for the top cop in Texas. And let me just open it up by I've watched you, I've listened to you, which which has determined that you deserve me.
Because when you take that sacred oath to the Constitution, we the people are supposed to hold everybody accountable for that. And right now, I was going to say there's two Texas, but there's only one Texas.
There's Texas We the People, then there's the scam, the embarrassment of LBJ and Ann Richards and Chet Edwards and and Luby's Cafeteria and Branch Davidian and Uvalde cops washing their hands while kids are getting shot. This is not the Texas that the world thinks is Texas. Chip Roy, you speak truth, logic, and common sense like I just spewed upon the world with Real America's Voice. What are you going to do to make Texas cleanse ourselves from the embarrassing atrocity of Austin?
It's embarrassing, Chip.
>> Yeah, Ted, couldn't agree with you more.
The Austin swamp has never been as bad or worse than the Washington swamp. Uh it's it's absurd. Uh what we're dealing with in terms of property taxes, what we're dealing with in terms of crime on our streets in Austin, uh DAs that aren't prosecuting criminals, uh open borders when we don't have a president like Donald Trump securing the border.
Uh we were still allowing too many people into our state. And then obviously we've got this now March of Islam across the state of Texas, which is unconscionable. Islam is incompatible with Western civilization and our values, our Christian values as the state of Texas, our Judeo-Christian principles. And uh as the Attorney General of Texas, I'm going to defend those values fully and strongly. You might remember the exchange that I had with Jerry Nadler about 4 years ago in the House Judiciary Committee, where I blew his mind because I said roughly what you just said, which is that the only reason the Second Amendment existed is not obviously for hunting and all of those things or even self-defense per se. It's there for that, but it's there so that we can challenge the government and take arms up against the government and yes, fight the government when that's necessary. And this is the the kind of thing that you say and his head exploded. And all these leftists in the House Judiciary Committee were like, "Oh my god, you're you're crazy. How can you say that?" And it was literally at the core of our founding, as you noted, uh that we were taking up arms against the United Kingdom uh in order to get our freedom. And we've lost that. The Texas that I know and love, that my great, great, great-grandfather served as a Texas Ranger fighting Comanches in Hayes, Travis, and Blanco counties, uh my grandfather is the chief of police out in Sweetwater, Texas.
And you know, I've got a long history of Texans who have fought for our state.
And now we're we're giving it away and we're pretending that we're not because, you know, we're oh great, we've got economic growth and the corporations are buying up land and putting in data centers and stuff. But what what are we doing to make sure we're safe and secure and Islam free?
>> You know, ditto, ditto, ditto. Chip, I got to tell you I I people know who I am cuz I got a big mouth and the greatest guitar licks in the world. Um even if I was an idiot, people would go to the music cuz the music has so much soul, has so much piss and vinegar. It's like the middle finger soundtrack of We the People historically. But I'm having so much fun playing all across Texas. But Chip, everywhere Shemane and I go, she has a wonderful Real America Voice podcast, Faith and Freedom. Mine is called the Spirit Campfire. My song is Spirit of the Wild. My TV show is Spirit of the Wild.
When those free Texans walked into Luby's Cafeteria on October 16th, 1991 in the state of Texas, Chip and they were forced by the state of Texas and the monster Ann Richards and everybody in Austin, they walked into Luby's for a snack in Killeen, Texas and they were forced and I can't believe they obeyed.
You You You give me a gun free zone and I'm disobeying that.
That's an infringement and I got a document that says shall not be infringed. And Chip, I don't I think the world has forgot.
They all went in forced to unarmed helplessness by the government of Texas and they all died.
And they hid under tables. Now, a a worker threw a hot coffee on on Henard.
And and and and and one of the guys stood up and hit him in the head with a chair. But can you imagine, and nobody knows this, in Texas, it was against the law to carry a gun. It had to be in the glove box, but only if you cross two county lines.
That's insanity.
Now, we got Well, here's your constitutional carry. The biggest outrage in Texas right now are the jackbooted thugs, and I don't throw that word around randomly.
Texas Parks and Wildlife. These people will trample private property rights, destroy private herds of deer looking for this lie called chronic wasting disease, and the people in charge of Texas Parks and Wildlife are DESPISED by conservation families in the great state of Texas. What will the Attorney General Chip Roy do to get some justice from these bureaucrats that are completely out of control?
>> Yeah, Ted, great question. Let me give you one example. When I was a freshman member of Congress about 7 years ago, uh Kinder Morgan was running a pipeline uh through the Hill Country, which I represent, the beautiful Hill Country that God gave us.
And the pipeline The pipeline was running under the Blanco and Pedernales Rivers. Now, look, I'm pro oil and gas.
I'm quite certain you are too, Ted. I want energy. I want my truck to have fuel in it. My wife works in the oil and gas industry.
But, I don't want the people that I represent to have no voice when the big corporate overlords combine with the government entities to just walk in and say, "Guess what? We're taking your land you've had in your family. We're going to shove a pipeline under the river, and your water might get messed up, and too bad."
And I intervened, and I went after and stopped and enforced Kinder Morgan, and they ended up putting the pipeline around the Blanco River. Now, I'm no like commie pinko uh, environmental wacko in San Francisco, but but I am a conservative. And I think we need to conserve the great state of Texas and all that it has to offer for our kids and grandkids. And so, I'm going to challenge the Austin swamp. And by the way, Ted, this is one of the reasons why the large, uh, majority of the, uh, swamp people in Austin are not jumping on board the chip train because they know that I'll do in Austin what I did in Washington. My opponent has never been in court, never been a lawyer. He's always been a part of the Austin swamp.
He's bought his seats.
I have had to earn everything I've done.
I've had to go raise the money. And in Washington, I've challenged the status quo. I have fought to drain the swamp. I was doing it as the entire time I've been in Congress. I have the number one America first voting record in Congress out of all 435 members on every issue under the sun. Fighting warrantless surveillance of Americans. Fighting the kill switch. This ridiculous thing where they want to put surveillance in your car before you can start your car.
Fighting to make sure that we can have, you know, secure borders, but find our second amendment's be defended. Last year in the big beautiful bill, trying to get the taxes removed on silencers and trying to make sure that we kind of pull back on the NFA and we're still fighting that battle now. You need an attorney general who gets freedom. You need an attorney general that understands the Austin swamp is as bad as DC. And I'll go after the bureaucrats there just as much. I've already talked to Don Huffines about opening up the books of all the bureaucracies and agencies, looking at where the money goes, where it comes from, and, you know, fight to try to expose all of that as well as the NGOs and nonprofits that are pissing away our money, pushing open borders, pushing Islam into the state of Texas, pushing criminals on our streets, and being apologists for corporate boardrooms who want to fatten their bottom line and their earnings on Wall Street without regard to a Texan going to the doctor of their choice, or a Texan being able to have access to the land God gave us.
Um, these are all things that are important. I will be the lawyer for the people of Texas, not the bureaucrats in Austin, Ted.
>> Well, Chip, you're speaking our language here. And again, I'm approached by great Texans. The best people in the world live in Texas. I mean, just heart and soul, working hard, playing hard, constitutional, Christian, conservative, conservationist. Those are the four C's that I determine who's allowed in the inner circle of Ted Nugent. And the thing that you've done in Washington and and claim you're going to do, and I believe you, or you wouldn't be on the Spirit Campfire, because Spirit Campfire is only for truth, logic, and common sense, we the people guys. So, I'm going to tell you right now, I endorse you for Attorney General. My family, my friends, all the people that I know want Chip Roy to be the top cop in the great state of Texas, the great Republic of Texas, to make Texas real Texas again. So, you're speaking the language that I hear every day, everywhere I go. And it doesn't matter whether it's Whole Foods, where you think there'd be hippies. Everybody there loves meat, and they love venison, and they love freedom, and they all carry guns.
It's really fantastic. The demographic, the wide expansive demographic that relates to Ted Nugent. When they relate to Ted Nugent, they relate to Chip Roy.
And you're right. My good friend Sid Miller, who I get to be Ag Commissioner, he has endorsed your opponent. I think he's made a terrible mistake. I love Sid, but there there's a tendency in Texas, going back to LBJ and Ann Richards and Chet Edwards and all these these compromisers, that they go with the status quo. And the status quo is toxic in America, but it's Chip, it's at its worst in Texas.
Now, I only got 10 seconds, so I'm going to thank you for joining me here. We're going to do this again. So, people get out and vote. We need a top cop in Texas that's a constitutionalist, a Christian, a conservative, conservationist. Chip Roy, God bless, Godspeed, and thanks for sharing the truth, logic, and common sense that I want my attorney general to represent in my home state of Texas. And I'm fighting in all 50 states. It is a royal cluster crank out there.
