[00:00:00]for a Republican candidate who had had a Nazi tattoo, covered it up when he was running for something um and had said all the things that he had said about black people, about women, about rape, etc. Do you really think there's a world in which Democrats would be like, "Let's just let bygones be bygones. That's the past. Today's the president."

But for the past decade, Democrats have been unified by our opposition to Donald Trump. And now Graham Platner has a forward-looking message. So if Donald Trump or if another Republican had a Nazi tattoo, I don't know. Donald Trump has dinner with Nazis. It's not that far from, you know, it's happening. But there's also plausible deniability regarding Gran Platter's tattoo. We don't know if he knew. We don't know what he knew.

He has Elizabeth Warren support. He has Hakeim Jeff support. He has uh Bernie Sanders socialist support. He has everybody's support. He got a Nazi tattoo. And now they're freaking out because they know how bad it looks. They got Susan Collins, who's not even a Trump Republican, actually going up in the polls because the voters are realizing that this guy is a Nazi and this guy is a scandalous sexton sex pest. All these things that are coming out about this specific man. So, we got to go because Whoopy Goldberg live on air is realizing, wait a minute, we got to stop supporting this guy because he might be a Nazi or we got to stop supporting him because he's starting to lose and well, we got to abandon him now before we he before he loses and then we get caught for supporting a guy with a Nazi tattoo.

Controversies keep coming for Democratic Senator uh Senate candidate Graham Planter on the heels of apologizing for a tattoo associated with Nazis that an offensive post about a wounded US soldier. Now his wife Amy Girtner is responding to reports that she gave his campaign a heads up about her husband sending sexually explicit texts to several different women.

[00:03:01]>> Horrible. There is no doubt that this guy uh Platner is flawed, flawed, flawed in in many ways. This is different than the Eric Swallwell thing so far because no women have come forward that that I know of or that have been reported. We haven't seen the the sex like we did with um with Swallwell. But it is disturbing and it is horrible and why can't we do better? Why can't we not compromising your morals and values?

[00:03:30]Guys, you see the change of tone that they're realizing all these things. I am starting to think that this might be the reason why everybody's changing tunes.

[00:03:39]It's because he started to lose in the pose. Let's actually take a look at what the polls look like. He went from almost 100% to Well, now he's going down. He was like at 90%. Now it's it's going down and it's going further down the more people find out about him. So, are the women on The View actually serious?

[00:04:00]Do they have standards? Because now they're going to begin to try to turn all of this around. And by the way, I heard Joey Bayard quit. I didn't even know the show still existed, but it still exists. This clip is just, it gets worse.

[00:04:15]>> Graham Platner trashed a Purple Heart recipient. Said he didn't deserve to live. Defamed fallen Navy Seal Chris Kyle. downplayed how hard it is to report sexual assault in the military.

[00:04:24]Repeatedly used anti-gay slurs and homophobic posts as recently as 2021.

[00:04:29]Called himself an avowed communist and has a Nazi tattoo for 20 years that he's since covered up. This guy just seems like a guy of not very good character.

[00:04:37]And there are a lot of options in this country. And by the way, there are other paths for Democrats to win. Just win a different state. You need four seats.

[00:04:43]Look at uh Alaska. Look at Iowa. Look at Texas. Don't die on the hill of a guy who is going to be a headache for you for years. Well, and not to make this political cuz I'm usually not the one that does that, but watching that video of the wife saying, you know, don't spend energy on these ads. The problem with these ads is they these are flaw. This isn't he um Platner has said, you know, the >> he did it in form. I'm sorry. I didn't mean it. I've changed.

[00:05:08]>> This is a problem. The the Purple Heart recipient, by the way, the video he insulted was a man who took fire to save his team. And he said, "This stupid guy should have died. It's only because they didn't have good aim that he's here. If you were capable of saying that at any time in your life, >> you've shown me who you are and I heard you.

[00:05:28]>> Why the sudden change? What's wild about all of this? Again, I don't know who gave them the call. They changed their mind on this guy.

[00:05:37]>> But you want to know who hasn't changed their mind on this guy is Bernie Sanders. Bernie Sanders is in Maine right now. He's saying on our way to Bangor, Maine for a rally with Graham for Maine, which is Graham Platner. The crisis uh facing our country are too serious for establishment politics and tinkering around the edges. He doesn't care about the Nazi tattoo. He doesn't care about what this guy has said. He doesn't care about who he is and what he stands for. He doesn't care that he's a communist. Again, we've all made mistakes. I've made a lot of mistakes in my young life. There's a lot of things that I could say that I'm that that maybe I'm not proud of that I did in the past or whatever. We go and we become better. The issue is this guy is is he getting better? He's not getting better.

[00:06:21]There's people out there that are trying to get BETTER EVERY DAY. I don't know if this guy is one of those people.

[00:06:33]Here's why you'll know I'm taking a deep breath. So apparently Dana Bash from CNN decides this is what she decides to do.

[00:06:40]She goes live I think this is a live video or she she basically goes one Democrats telling response to Platiner sexing scandal there basically she's trying to defend how certain Democrats are handling this and that they're doing great. They're handling this great because they shouldn't focus on this guy being a Nazi communist and a sex cheating on his wife or whatever. They shouldn't worry about that. They should worry about other things, the American people. But in reality, what she's saying is we should bypass all of this. We shouldn't care.

[00:07:20]Unlike the view coming out and realizing that, hey, we're we're actually we're actually a part of the problem. We're supporting this candidate. This is a bad candidate. Dana Bass from CNN is doing the opposite. Take a listen to this.

[00:07:30]I've been thinking a lot about Democrats and how they've reacted so far to the latest scandal up in Maine with Graham Platner and how much of an example this is of the kind of lesson they've been trying to take from Donald Trump in the way he's operated for the last 10 years.

[00:07:47]Just look at how Democratic Senator Andy Kim reacted when I asked him about it.

[00:07:52]First, he said that it's up to the voters of Maine and then he did something very telling. He focused on taking back control of the Senate.

[00:08:03]>> What do you think?

[00:08:04]>> Well, look, right now for me, like I have not met him. I've never talked to him yet. Uh but what I am what I do hear from people in New Jersey around the country is that they don't trust this US Senate right now led by the Republicans as we are about to go back into session this coming week and what they are pushing on is you know 60 to 70 billion more for ICE for CBP for immigration.

[00:08:29]They want that stopped.

[00:08:30]>> So do what it takes to elect Democrats regardless of >> do what it takes. Do what it takes.

[00:08:36]elected guy. And again, one of the main things that Democrats have been pushing for over a decade plus that Trump is the Nazi, that Trump is the guy, he's Hitler, he's all of this. And when when Hitler actually shows up with a tattoo and all of that, saying that I'm a communist and says all these things that are on record, this is where this is where Dana B this is this is the hill Dana Bash is dying on.

[00:09:03]Wow. We've all made mistakes. There's a lot of people out there that deserve second chances. I am not God. I'm I don't punish people. That's not my thing. That's up to God and whatever.

[00:09:18]I at least I don't think so. We all progress in life. We get better in life.

[00:09:23]And she's just flat out like, "Oh, he did a great job." But like like just keep listening to her.

[00:09:28]>> Dangerous. Would this have been the way Democrats reacted 5 years ago, 10 years ago? Hard no. They would have been hand ringing. They would have been publicly questioning whether or not uh this is really the guy who represents Democratic values. And now they're making a concerted strategic political effort to keep their eye on the ball and focus on what they need to do to win back the Senate regardless >> regardless of who he is. Oh my god. Not who he was, who he still is.

[00:10:03]So if you don't think that this is going viral, if you don't think that this is a huge fight within the party, well, let's actually go to MS. Now, take a listen to this reporter.

[00:10:14]>> The problem is his judgment, which he clearly has been lacking in. As an adult, it's one thing to have foolish, youthful indiscretions, but I'm sorry, you cannot get past it. is not a Nazi style tattoo. It is the tattoo of concentration camp guards. It is the very worst tattoo you can get if you are getting anything Nazi. And that's a pretty high bar there. So, this has been a slow motion train wreck ever since that tattoo and knowledge of it hit the world. And it's only going to get worse.

[00:10:46]These text there are multiple women. Are all those women going to keep their mouths shut from now until election day?

[00:10:53]I What do you think, Lauren? The I I don't know what to say. On one end, you have Democrats panicking because they realize that their party is supporting something that they shouldn't support. So, that's whooping them. We didn't expect I don't know who they got the call from. They see him now kind of going down in the pose. He's not dominating the race the way, you know, the way that, you know, he should or he was at at some point. So, he's not dominating the race the way he was. He's going down in the polls, but yet these prominent Democrats are still backing him up. They're saying that the problems are so big that we should bypass all these things. It just lets you know the picture that has been painted in the picture that for the last 10 years they cannot run away from you. You'll know what I mean in just a second. Here's what I mean. So, I saw this and America is celebrating its 250th birthday. Why do I bring that up? Well, you'll know why. Uh this is the picture they've been painting. This is the reaction from somebody that just became a citizen in 2015. This is where Democrats want to die on the hill. They want to die on, not actually die. I don't want anybody to die. Don't quote me on that cuz that's not what I mean. There's probably somebody out there, you know, that probably thinks that. I don't think that. If you know me, man. I got a soft heart for all the humans in the world.

[00:12:10]Even if they're nah, I can't say that either. But I don't have a soft heart for people that like they just don't want to get better.

[00:12:22]And so have we trying to get are we better as a country? Well, take a listen to this. This is the picture that has been painted to millions of people. In one month, America will mark the 250th anniversary of its founding. Like previous anniversaries, there is a deep unease about this. I feel a deep unease about these celebrations to which I am invited to mark the 250th anniversary of our so-called democracy.

[00:12:46]>> So-called democracy. But yet your party is about to elect or back a guy who thought it was good to get a Nazi tattoo at some point in his life. Support that type of rhetoric.

[00:13:01]So where are the Democrats today? Do I want the Democrats to get better as a party? Of course. We have a two-party system. Eventually, you want both parties to be strong. Unfortunately, for one party, this is what I see all the time. I can't I can't get with this program. a guy who just became citizen in 2015. Not sure where he's from or his family's actually from, but he's in the United States of America. He looks good.

[00:13:25]He got a suit on. He's living great. He says that America, you know, it's it's a scary thing. I don't recognize it. He's trying to create this anxious uh environment uh about about the United States of America.

[00:13:38]So, I just think it's so it's it's it's so crazy to me, man. It really is to have this guy be the man that again, Elizabeth War is also backing him.

[00:13:48]Mostly every Democrat. And you heard Dana Bass, she's proud of how Democrats are handling this. They're doing great.

[00:13:54]They're handling this great. We should back this guy. Forget about everything else. Scandals are one things. Dang things that happen are one thing. But this one thing really is the thing the Democrats have been talking about that Trump is. But he is that. Does anybody understand what I'm saying? Am I Am I Am I confusing? Am I Am I Do I sound confusing? I don't know. Maybe I do.

[00:14:19]Maybe I do. Maybe some people are like, "Les doesn't matter if they like him, they like him, they should choose."

[00:14:23]Look, people are going to choose who they want, especially against a weak Republican.

[00:14:28]But I just find it ironic. I just I really find it ironic that this is the guy that the Hill that they're willing to dial. But there are some Democrats that are coming to their senses.
