This forecast over-intellectualizes a routine weather shift, turning a simple rainy day into a dramatic narrative of "atmospheric transition." It is a classic case of using professional jargon to state the obvious with unearned gravity.

Weather Impact: Rain chances build through middle of the weekAdded:
All right, it is 8:00 on the dot on your Sunday morning. How you doing out there?
Good morning. Temperatures today are in the upper 80s, but I want you to think your feels like or that heat index is in the mid-upper 90s. Today is very sticky outside, high relative humidity here for your Sunday. Now, tomorrow that 30% chance is very isolated. I want you to think a few sprinkles for your Monday, and that's it. So, Monday is actually trending drier, which is good news.
I would say Tuesday for the first portion of the day, you're probably okay, maybe a nice little shower, but Tuesday evening into Wednesday, I think this is going to be the best chance, the highest time line to see some heavier rain. So, it'll mainly be Wednesday, and then notice how some of the rain chances continue for Thursday, Friday. We just start this wet weather pattern, and it takes over. It takes over for a big part of the mid and latter part of your work week. Now, until then, it is very isolated, okay? Live look outside this Sunday morning. Notice we have clouds in Galveston. You're probably also going to notice how choppy the surface. Look at this. I mean, that is really choppy. So, we have breezy south winds, and it's going to increase the rip current risk. So, if your plan maybe today is head out to Galveston, um I mean, really, really choppy. You watch those little ones. You watch those kiddos really carefully. That that surface really choppy. With breezy winds, some of our wind gusts today out of the south around 20 to 25 mph. Live look outside in the Galleria.
You know, in all, you're mostly dry today. It's just sticky out there. It's just warm. It's just humid. Here's the reason why all this southerly wet. So, I'm pausing our future track around 6:00 this evening. Winds could stay steady around 15 to maybe even 20 mph at times.
Tomorrow, not much of a change. You're going to wake up even for your Monday morning. Winds should be out of the south sustained around 15 to 20 mph. So, some breezy south winds. As far as the rain chances go, so isolated today.
Notice at noon, nada. Clouds are in place here for your Sunday. And then here's a little rain popping up. Okay, that's about your 20% chance today. This is a look at 4:00 this afternoon of that spotty little nuisance shower. Overnight into Monday, about the same. These clouds are not expected to budge.
Temperatures are heading back into the upper 80s for your Monday afternoon with feels like temperatures more than upper 90s. So, it's hot. It's humid. And then by the evening hours, see some of the line the line of showers and thunderstorms really just out west. So, this is moving out of let's say San Antonio across I-35. That will be approaching our area, but especially by Tuesday evening. Let me show you the big picture here. Again tomorrow, slight chance for maybe an isolated shower, and then Tuesday evening. So, here's a look at 7:30 Tuesday night.
Notice the approaching system. And then really I think by Wednesday and Thursday, that will be our best chance to pick up some of the heavier downpours. And when I say that, about 1 to maybe 2 inches of rain for each day.
So, it becomes soggy. You're going to need the umbrella. Midweek is the best chance for area-wide rain, and some of those showers will hang with us even through the weekend. I know, it's just a massive pattern change ahead. As far as what we're expecting May 23rd through the 27th, this is more of your long-range outlook getting a little bit closer to Memorial Day. Look at the state of Texas trending wetter than average. So, a big part of the week, but even into the upcoming weekend. With that being said, thanks to some of the rain, we could be trending cooler than average. So, temperature-wise maybe we'll get a little bit of a break, and that's always sometimes the benefit of some rain-cooled air. Out west, it's trending hot though, especially towards the end of the month. So, on our 7-day forecast today, temperatures are heading into the upper 80s. Feels like temperature is more into the upper 90s.
Slight chance for a few showers tomorrow, but remember what I said, late Tuesday. So, I want you to think Tuesday evening into Wednesday and Thursday. I think this will be your best chance to see some of the heavier downpours. So, if you do have anything really big planned outside towards the middle of the week, I keep watching this forecast for any changes, but right now I would have a good option of a plan B, especially come Wednesday as ponding, maybe even a brief white water spot will be possible. But, of course, we will keep you posted right here at KSHB. Have a great day.
