Why is it bugging on me? Oh, I might need to just reset it. Hold up, y'all.
Hold up. All right.
What's good, everybody? What's good? One second, everybody.
One second. One second. Hey, one second.

All right, one second.
Discord might not be working for some reason.
Bro, I should have done this before.
Oh man, I don't know if Discord's working.
I'm g just have to do audio on Discord.
All right, one second everybody.
One second. One second.
Here we go. Maybe.
Maybe.
Yo, I don't know if uh I don't know if on Discord I don't know if video is going to work on Discord today. I don't know why it's not working.
I don't know why that's happening.
Welcome everybody. Elizabeth, welcome.
No, Zoom is the right place. I just have a Discord as well that if people want to join that, I'm just trying to figure out on Discord. Um, Discord, you guys are just gonna have to listen to me. All right, I'm sorry, but you're just have to listen to me.
The camera isn't working right now. If you want to join the Zoom, there's a Zoom link, but like it's working on there. Whatever.
Praise God. Welcome everybody. Welcome, welcome, welcome. And thank you so much, Gator Chomp. Welcome back, brother. Good to see you. All right, let's get into it. Can you guys at least hear me on Discord if you guys want to join the Zoom? Oh, we're about to max it out on Zoom. We're about We're about to be maxed out on Zoom. How's everybody's fast going, man?
How's everybody's fast going?
Is everybody on the fast right now?
So, I'm gonna be honest. The hardest time for me when I fast is that first meal of the day, which is like 12:00 p.m.
12:00 p.m. is like the hardest time.
Man, I wish the camera wasn't working for Discord, bro. That it's always something, man.
Um, whatever.
It's all good.
All right, let's just let's just roll with it, man. Let's just roll with it.
We're going to roll with the punches.
Discord, you can always go to YouTube.
I'm on YouTube as well. So, um, we're fasting though, y'all. We are fasting. We are in the fast. We're deep in it right now.
I'm about 24 hours in right now. And I just love that we're doing this as a corporate fast. This is this is awesome.
So, I want to go over I want to talk about fasting today, just in general. I want to talk about fasting and talk to you guys about what you guys are doing, how you guys are feeling.
Can I ask why we're fasting? Yeah, we're going to get into that.
But the the main reason that I'm fasting personally is as a community. You guys asked me, you guys asked me a while ago to do a community fast. So, I wanted to do it with you guys as a community. And honestly, this is like the first prolonged fast I've done in over two years. If I'm just being real with you guys, if I'm just keeping it a buck with you and I'm not sugar coating anything, it's been over two years since I've done a prolonged fast, which is over 24 hours. And I feel the effects of it to be honest. I've felt the effects recently. I just feel a little bit distant, spiritually dry, spiritually stale, a little bit cold in my walk with God.
And so I'm doing this fast honestly to grow closer to God and to hear God and to reignite that flame and because I know for sure two years ago when I was doing these frequent fasts that I was definitely feeling different than I have recently been feeling. So I mean this there's a reason the Bible talks about fasting so much.
In fact, did you know that the Bible talks more about fasting than about water baptism?
Interesting fact. The Bible talks more about fasting than water baptism.
And I wish I had more stats on this, but fasting is talked about throughout the Bible. Some of the most legendary people in the Bible fasted, including Jesus himself.
And Whoa. Thank you so much on YouTube to uh MK Ruff. I love your music. I love you. I love your music, too. Can you please follow me? I would I could use it. Also, what's your favorite song you ever made? Favorite song I've ever made.
It's always the most recent song I drop.
So, right now, uh I think if if I had to tell you my favorite song, though, I'd probably say God Made Away. I just love God Made Away. Um but thank you so much. God bless you.
So, we're doing this fast as a community. And did you know community fasting is actually a thing in the Bible as well? Corporate fasting. There's power when you get together as a community. And so, yeah, I want to read the chat a little bit. Um, Ian said, "I did 20 I did 72 hours fast last week. It felt so good at the end." Yeah, fasting, man. It for me, it's just I got to get over like that first meal, which I'm pretty much over right now, and I'm good. You know, I one thing I love about fasting is I sleep so good. I know it's like the opposite for most people, but I sleep so good when I'm fasting.
And yeah, we're going to talk about different stuff in the Bible about fasting. And uh I got to I got to close this window a little bit because sun is glaring too much.
All right, cool.
Wasn't allowed because of my parents. Uh yeah, how old are you? I mean, I wouldn't recommend prolonged fasting if you're like under 18, to be honest. Um I'mma open up this Discord right here, too.
Hannah says, "I feel like I could take a nap." Yeah, I'll be honest. I'm pretty used to like this time of day fasting.
I'll go one meal a day a lot of times.
So, it's really like I haven't gone to sleep in a long time without uh like eating a meal during that day. So, it's been like, like I said, like over two years for me.
You Someone said talking about fasting while I'm eating pizza. You know what's crazy is um whenever I fast and I go on social media, for some reason the best types of food want to pop up in my feed, there will be like these pizzas. There will be like this these blueberries that are tempting me. Literally, someone was eating blueberries today when I on a video today. Somebody was eating blueberries.
Now that I think about it, bro, that's crazy.
Someone literally made a Christian video and they were talking about and they were eating blueberries at the same time. That's crazy, man. I didn't even think about that till now.
I'm doing uh 48 hours. Angie, you can totally do whatever you want, though.
I'm personally doing 48 hours. So, I'll stop fasting tomorrow night, like around this time probably. But I'm not setting that. I'm not set in stone on that to be honest. I could go longer. I like I'll let you guys know if I go longer, but whatever the Holy Spirit is prompting you to do to be honest, because I know we're probably all on different types of fast. Um, if you guys are fasting, let me know what fast you're doing right now.
Let me know what type of fast you're doing. Um, water fast, Laura. Nice. Same here.
Water only with KK. KK's doing it. No way.
No way. Let's go, KK.
Water plain herbal tea. I love that.
Water fast. Yeah, water fast seems to be the best.
Um or not the best. I don't know why I said best. I mean the most like common in my opinion. It's the best. It's my favorite. Personally, I can't do the Daniel fast. Okay, we're going to get into it. But the Daniel fast is when you eat like vegetables and fruits. For me, that's not much of a sacrifice because I could just eat blueberries and I love blueberries. And I I'm still thinking about food if I'm eating fruits and vegetables. Like I'd rather just not think about food at all. I don't know. It just seems more more of like a chore to find the foods to eat.
And I don't know. I just feel like it would be weird.
But yeah, Ashley, no big deal at all.
Like if that's your thing, that's what Daniel did. Literally, Daniel did that in the Bible. So it's a biblical fast.
Absolutely.
And maybe it would be good for me to do, you know, for a longer period of time.
I've never done anything over uh 80 four hours, 86 hours, something like that.
I don't drink coffee, Linda. No, I don't drink coffee.
The Esther fast is harsh. Oh, is the Esther fast like when you drink no water either? That's tough. I unless the Holy Spirit prompts me to do that, I personally wouldn't do that. But that's just me cuz I know that can get dangerous, especially over like anything over 24 hours.
I feel like I feel like you got to be very careful. And we're actually going to talk about it. So, do you guys have anything else like you want to talk about here? cuz someone said uh cuz I'm about to I got like a I just been learning about fasting a lot this past couple days and I want to like read some Bible verses on it and I think the first thing I want to talk about let's do it. We're going to go first to uh Matthew 6 16-18.
So if you guys have your Bible I'm going to go to Matthew 16 or Matthew 6 16-18. It's the classic fasting verse.
Matthew 6 16 through 18. Somebody said, "Would you recommend dry fasting for over 48 hours?" Okay, so here's the thing about dry fasting.
I've never done it, but some legendary people in the Bible did it. So, there's definitely power in it, but I I'm not going to recommend anything to anyone. Um, check with your doctor, you know. No, I'm no I'm no medical expert, but if the Holy Spirit is really prompting you to do a fast like that and you know it's from the Holy and you have like people around you that confirm it, I would say go all in with it. Um, dry fasting is when you don't drink any water or eat any food. So, it's yeah, like for me personally, I just feel like I got to have my my water, my electrolytes. But does that mean maybe I should do a dry fast? I don't know. For me, it's a sacrifice to do the water fast. Whatever is like a sacrifice for you, you know, whatever is a sacrifice, whatever cost you something. Cuz me personally, I would love to eat some blueberries today. I would love to eat some ground beef and just my regular meal with some squash.
But I'm giving that up today. And it's not that food is a bad thing. We're giving up a good thing. Food is a good thing. We're giving up a good thing because we want more of God. And that's the real definition of fasting. You know, if you fast and you just go without food, but you don't pray and read the Bible and join this Bible study tonight, you're just on a diet.
But when you fast and you read the Bible and you spend time with God, that's biblical fasting. And there are some good benefits to fasting physically.
There's something called auto autophagy where your body like eats all the dead stuff and basically like recycles all the all the bad stuff.
And I I'm no expert on this stuff, but I I just feel like it gives your stomach a break. It gives your gut a break. And I feel like I feel like that's necessary.
I feel like that's good to do every now and then physically. Obviously, the phys the physical benefits are nothing compared to the spiritual benefits.
But isn't it interesting that God wanted us to fast and there's also physical benefits to it? I think, you know, God is a expert. Yeah, I agree, Esther. It puts your body in reset.
Oh, I didn't even realize. Um, what did you say at the gym about Elijah going 40 days without water? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. the dry fast. It's a great way to meet the Lord because you're definitely going to meet the Lord on a dry fast if you go for a long enough time. You are definitely going to meet the Lord.
All right. They say you have some great encounters on that type of fast. They say you have some great encounters. You literally get to meet the Lord.
If you do that type of fast, you will meet God.
All right. There's actually some funny fasting stories that I heard recently.
Um, so apparently someone did like a 40-day fast. They did a water fast and when they broke the fast, they ate like a bunch of chicken. Okay, this is not even something to laugh at. But they died. They they literally died. They literally died after they they like broke the fast with a bunch of chicken.
Somebody ate like steak after they uh they fasted for 40 days and they had to go to like the ER room.
So, with us doing a 48 hour fast, we don't have to be like super cautious of what we eat after our fast because it's not that long. But for people that do like 21day, 40-day fast, you got to be very, very, very careful of how you break the fast because it could be dangerous what you put in your body after not putting anything in it for that amount of time.
Um, oops, I got to pull up this And so let me get this here. I'mma put this here. And I'm going to do this here.
Okay.
Does the body reset after a three-day fast? Yeah, I think it resets pretty well. Um, I think I think after 72 hours for the physical benefits, it's kind of like diminishing returns. In my opinion, it's kind of diminishing returns after the 48 hour mark, just from the research I did.
Um, cuz for me personally, like I don't have much body fat, so my body doesn't have much to run off of. So for me, after like 48 hours, it'll start going after my muscle.
after 72 hours technically it'll start going after the muscle which is not very good long term but but yeah so that's why I never really gone over 72 hours. Um but let's yeah let's get into it. Let's go to Matthew 6 16-18.
Um and we got all night tonight to be honest. I don't got no nothing to eat after this. I don't got I don't got to go to dinner. I don't got to do nothing.
So, we don't got nothing to do after.
So, we can go as long as we need to tonight. All right. And especially cuz we're all in this together. Like, it's better to spend time with each other and uh seek after the Lord. Man, this is kind of annoying me. I got I'm going to put this light on.
All right.
One second.
All right.
Okay.
So, Matthew 6:16-18, Jesus says, "And when you fast," let's stop there. "And when you fast," he didn't say, "if you fast."
He said, "When you fast," it's expected for us to fast.
It is literally expected for us to fast.
Matthew 6:16-18.
We are expected to fast.
And when you fast, don't make it obvious as the hypocrites do. For they try to look miserable and disheveled so people will admire them for their fasting. I tell you the truth, that is the only reward they will ever get. Okay, so Jesus is talking about, yeah, bone broth is the way I'm going to break my fast.
It's a great way to break the fast.
Bone broth is amazing. Um, so basically if I were to come on this live stream right now and look like this, you know, we got to fast today, guys.
This sucks. This really sucks, guys. I'm fasting.
I'm I'm fasting, everybody. Oh no, it hurts. I want food. I want blueberries.
I want ground beef. I miss my food.
Can you guys tell that I'm fasting? Can you see it? It's basically Jesus is going after the people who make it look like they're fasting and they got to tell everyone about it. They got to tell everyone about their fast. And I'll be honest, there's a temptation there to just tell everyone, right? I know this for sure. When I was fasting like two years ago and I would be around people, they're like there's like a you kind of like want to tell people low key because everybody makes everything about food.
And I remember I was at like a home group for church and you know everybody's eating this food.
Everybody's doing this potluck and people people have a problem with you when you don't eat their food. Like I was just trying to say like no I'm not eating food right now. I'm I'm good. And they're like why why aren't you eating food? like they they start asking questions.
I'm like, I can't tell you why I'm not eating food. But everything in this culture is so surrounded with like food.
Everything is about food nowadays. We spend so much time thinking about food each day. And this fast should really wake you guys up to how much of our time and energy we spend thinking about food. Like what's for dinner? We got to cook it. We got to clean it.
But I guess if you go to fast food, if you go to McDonald's, you don't got to think about it that much, but you're going to feel the ramifications of eating unhealthy food.
So Denise says, "Please stop talking about food." Yeah, it's I got to talk about food though because we're doing this fast. And there's something about talking about food and like when I'm fasting that kind of makes me somewhat feel better. I'm like, "Okay, I don't know. That's just a random thought." But I be thinking about food when I'm fasting for sure. But food is like the devil's secret weapon when you think about it, man. Food is literally the devil's secret weapon.
Ever since the very beginning, what was the first temptation? What did the devil tempt Adam and Eve with? Food.
Think about Jesus's Jesus in the wilderness. What did What's the first thing the devil tempted Jesus with?
food. He said, "If you turn this these stones into bread." Well, think about Jacob and Esau.
Jacob or Esau literally traded as in So, the story of Jacob and Esau happened like this. Um, Jacob was just cooking up some stew and Esau was out all day long and he came home and he was super hungry and so he was like, "Yo, Jacob, give me some of that stew."
And I'm sorry if I'm talking about food too much, guys, but um Jake Esau was like, "Give me some of that stew. I'm hungry. I'm starving." And um Jacob was like, "All right, I'll give you some of this stew if you trade me your inheritance." Basically, like his whole future. Um and Jacob and Esau was like, "All right, bet. I'll do it. Give me give me the food." and he traded his entire inheritance for some food, for some Door Dash, for a quick snack, for a quick meal.
And while we might not be trading our inheritance with food, we're trading our time, our energy, our health for food.
And so that's why fasting is so important. We're giving that up and we're seeking after God. I feel like I'm yapping too much on different topics.
This fast is getting to my head, y'all.
Got me all over the place. All right, so let's go to verse 17. Um, I love this. I love this verse.
But when you fast, comb your hair. I didn't comb my hair. I never comb my hair. I should have done that.
Comb your hair and wash your face.
Basically, he's saying like just look normal. Like don't look all disheveled and out of order and don't look miserable is what he's saying. like don't dramatize it or be all dramatic about fasting. Don't Yeah.
Um then no one will notice that you are fasting except your father who knows what you do in private and your father who sees everything will reward you.
So, it's been confirmed that when you fast and you don't go in public and tell everyone about it, it's okay to do it corporately, like we're doing this corporate fast right now. We're doing it together.
But if you're just out there telling everyone about it, you're making it public to everyone, you've received your reward in full. But if you do it secretly, God literally promised to reward you.
God promises to reward us when we fast in secret.
And isn't that awesome?
Samuel says, "Please pray for my me and my family. My mom has cancer and is having surgery tomorrow. Lord, I pray over Samuel. I pray that you would cover him and his mom, that you would bring healing." And everybody, please join me in prayer for Samuel right now. Lord, we pray for Samuel. We pray for healing over his mother and over the surgery tomorrow that everything would go successfully that there would be no mishaps or anything that is unplanned. I pray for healing in the mighty name of Jesus. Lord, we lift up Samuel's mother and we pray for healing. We speak healing. There's no distance in the spirit. Wherever Samuel and his mother are at, I pray you meet them where they're at. Fill them with your Holy Spirit. Surround them with your presence and do what only you can do. We we lift this into your hands, Jesus. We pray you do what only you can do.
We speak healing.
In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
Amen.
Amen. Got to interrupt the Bible study for stuff like that, man. I got to interrupt the Bible study for stuff like that. Okay. Um, so let's see.
I want to ask you guys a question. What do you guys think the reward looks like?
What do you think the reward What do you think he's talking about when he says he's going to reward us for fasting?
What do you guys think he's going to reward us with? Becky, I like that answer. Closeness, health. That's a good answer, Ian.
Healing or for needs. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Clarity. Yeah, I agree with all this.
The reward is a deeper knowledge of Jesus in the Bible. Amen, Nessa. I definitely agree with that. A stronger relationship and feeling of being with the Lord. Amen. I like that answers.
True, Hannah. Very true.
Very true. Yeah, I think you guys are all right. I think all of you guys are all of you guys have great answers.
That's you guys are giving some good answers. Stuff that I haven't even thought about. Um, yes, freedom from the flesh because man, fasting is the biggest punch in the face to your flesh.
is a big old punch to the face to the flesh. And I'm going to get into that later on. But if you want to just deny your flesh, fasting is such a good way to do it. My brother talks about it. Um my brother talks about how like cuz he used to struggle with alcohol and he would say like if I can resist food, I can definitely resist alcohol.
Like fasting strengthens your spirit.
Fasting is denying your flesh so that you can feed your spirit.
Fasting is not for strong people. Fasting is not for strong people. It's for weak people.
I got to respond.
Fasting is not for strong people. It's for weak people. I'll admit it. I'm weak. I need Jesus. I can't do this without Jesus, man. Fasting is for people who can't do this on their own.
Can you guys do this on your own? I can't do this on my own. I need the Lord. I need God so much. I can't do anything I am doing right now without God. Straight up. I can't even take my next breath without God. I can't even speak my next word without God.
And so I agree with that. Um I want to get into some stories in the Bible of people who fasted. So Moses, let's go to Exodus 34 27-28.
Um, Exodus 24 or Exodus 34 27-28 verses 27-28.
Exodus 34 27-38.
Okay, it says, "Then the Lord said to Moses, write down all these instructions, for they represent the terms of the covenant I am making with you and with Israel. Moses remained there on the mountain with the Lord 40 days and 40 nights." In all that time, he ate no bread and drank no water. And the Lord wrote the terms of the covenant, the Ten Commandments, on the stone tablets.
Wow. So Moses went 40 days and 40 nights without any food and water. He did a dry fast. Now that is not what I would recommend people to do because you'll literally die if it's not supernaturally if you're not like if it's not a super like you literally have to have supernatural strength from God to be able to do that fast for that amount of time.
Um, but it's just interesting, you know, he he did a dry fast, no food, no water.
Um, and it was God who s who sustained him through the whole thing.
And if you try to do this fast on your own, you you're going to meet Jesus for sure. I mean, this was definitely a supernatural fast. You're going to meet Jesus. Um, if you know what I mean.
But yeah, Moses was Moses was really doing that, man. 40 days, 40 nights. I'm trying to think of any other talking points I want to say here. Does anyone else have any like any Moses points here? Um, yeah. I do electrolytes, Joshua. I do electrolytes and I do unflavored electrolytes.
I do unflavored. Um, and they don't break the fast.
I sometimes have to skip breakfast because I don't feel good, but when I don't eat, I get more sick. Please pray for me, Nessa. Let's let's pray for you right now. Lord, we pray over Nessa. We pray over any health conditions she's struggling with right now that you would heal her in the mighty name of Jesus. We speak healing over her and we pray that you would heal her gut or whatever is going on in the stomach that's making her not feel good when she eats or when she doesn't eat and gets more sick. I pray for healing in Jesus name.
Amen.
Um so let's talk about let's go to Elijah next. Elijah is first kings 195-8.
First Kings 19 5-8.
We got 200 people in Zoom. That's crazy.
That's the most we've ever had.
First Kings 195 through8.
All right. All right. So, we're talking about uh Elijah here.
So, this one's kind of interesting. Um, then he lay down and slept under the broom tree. But as he was sleeping, an angel touched him and told him, "Get up and eat." Now, that's kind of what we want to hear right now, right? I I want to hear that from an angel. I want an angel to come touch me and say, "Get up and eat." I'd love for that to happen right now. Um he looked around and there and there beside his head was some bread baked on hot stones and a jar of water. So he ate and drank and lay down again. Then the angel of the Lord came again and touched him and said, "Get up and eat some more or the journey ahead will be too much for you." So he got up and ate and drank and the food gave him enough strength to travel 40 days and 40 nights to Mount Si, the mountain of God. There he came to a cave where he spent the night. So Elijah fasted for 40 days and 40 nights.
Like that one meal sustained him for that amount of time. Um but I think this is an interesting story and I don't even know if I want to talk about it because it doesn't really relate to fasting too much but like God is he's just as powerful as he is personal. Like he literally didn't shame Elijah at all for being tired. And mind you, this is right after the Mount Carmel thing where Elijah literally called down fire from heaven. Like he had a legendary moment with God.
Um, and God tells him, "Take a nap and eat a snack and you're going to be all right." And then he goes and makes his journey 40-day fast. Um, the punch line I would usually say here is sometimes you just need a nap and a snack, but for right now, we don't need that because we're fasting. So, I don't really want to talk about this story too much because we need a fast. We need to go without food and and yeah. So, I'm going to go we need the Bible and God facts because this is really the real nourishment we need, man. Is the word of God.
And now I want to go to the story of Daniel uh Daniel fast. So, this is in Daniel 10 2 through3.
and verse 12. So, so, so one second.
Daniel 10.
And Daniel did the Daniel fast.
Daniel 10. All right. So uh Daniel 10:2 when this vision came to me I Daniel had been in the morning had been in mourning for three whole weeks. All that time I had eaten no rich food no meat or wine cross my lips and I used no fra fragrant lotions until those three weeks had passed. So Daniel did what's called the Daniel fast where he ate no meats, no wine.
Um, basically he just ate like fruits and vegetables, I'm pretty sure, and like grains, I think, something like that.
Pretty much he didn't eat any of like the very tasty food. But in my opinion, I think fruits and vegetables are tasty.
Like some of them, especially blueberries. Y'all know me with blueberries. But um, so also I also want to read uh verse 12, which is Oh.
Jake, can you help me with that, please?
Please, sir.
All right. Bet.
Um, verse 12, which is then he said, "Don't be afraid, Daniel, since the first day." So, this is an angel talking to Daniel. Don't be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day you began to pray for understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your request has been heard in heaven.
So the angel said since the first day you were fasting, God heard your prayers. And man, something about fasting. Fasting doesn't fasting doesn't like I don't know how to phrase this.
Fasting is like it really lets you be in tune with the spirit. And I'm not gonna say like fasting lets God answer your prayers faster, but maybe. I don't know.
I mean, the Bible says when you humble yourself before God, he will exalt you.
And the Bible talks about how we can humble ourselves by fasting. I just feel like fasting is such a good practice.
Yeah, fasting makes your spirit stronger than your flesh. Facts. Oh, that's good to know, Richard. Um, so that's the Daniel fast. He did fruits and vegetables or that's the Daniel fast that people do. Um, it's basically like fruits and vegetables, um, whole grains, legumes and nuts, healthy oils and liquids.
Um, fasting is definitely a blessing.
Everyone's experience is different during their fast. Yeah, true.
Fasting takes away your worries and allows you to focus on the Lord. Amen.
It's true.
It really does let you focus on God.
It really did. How was everybody's day so far? Like on the fast, how long are you going to fast, Mike?
I'm going to do 48 hours. So, basically 24 more hours.
Tough to pass two hours or so. Yeah.
I feel like for me, the toughest is going to be like tonight when I go to bed on an empty stomach.
God made it so you can get closer and he made it cuz literally it heals your body. It replenishes.
Yeah. God is so good, man.
I'm going to bed on an empty stomach, too. Yeah. Some people say they can't go to sleep on an empty stomach. For me personally, I don't know if it's too much of an issue. I know I can stay asleep so much easier on an empty stomach. Like I I dream so much deeper when I don't have a belly full of food.
Someone said, "You still go to the gym or exercise when you fast?" I I just walk.
I don't like working out like muscles uh like resistance training like weight training when I'm fasting just cuz feel like that's going to make the fast even harder and I'm not going to have any protein or anything like that to fuel my body. Like I'd rather just go without it.
Someone said, "I did push-ups." Nice.
Walking makes me hungrier. Really? Yeah, I guess it kind of does.
I wouldn't work out and fast. Yeah, I don't do it personally.
Does anybody run or walk when they fast?
I walk.
Yeah, walking is my favorite thing to do in fasting to be honest. Even though like I feel like I'm getting to that point where I feel weak.
I feel weak. Like um I I definitely can't walk as long as I usually do. Like I usually do like 15,000 steps a day, but fasting is definitely way tougher to walk.
I want to talk about this story in the Bible too which is really cool. Jehoshaphat Jehoshaphat fasted. Funny, his last uh syllable was fat.
Was Jehoshaphat fat? Who knows? I don't.
But he fasted. So, and this story takes place in 2 Chronicles 20. Everybody turn to 2 Chronicles 20. This is a really cool story. It's honestly probably my top three stories in the Bible.
2 Chronicles 20 Chronicles 20 1-4.
After this, the armies of the Moabites, Ammonites, and some of the Mayunites declared war on Jehoshaphat.
Messengers came and told Jehoshaphat, "A vast army from Edom is marching against you from beyond the Dead Sea.
They are already at Hesazison tomorrow."
Okay, so basically Jehoshaphat gets the worst news of all time. He has like three armies coming at him at the same time.
And so verse three, Jehoshaphat was terrified by this news and begged the Lord for guidance. He also ordered everyone in Judah to begin fasting. So people from all the towns of Judah came to Jerusalem to seek God's help.
So this is an awesome story because Jehoshaphat hears this news and he's terrified. And so what does he do? He goes straight to be he goes straight to talk to God and fast.
I think this is an awesome thing because this is one of the reasons we fast is when we're facing impossible situations, we serve a God who is bigger than whatever we're facing. And when we humble ourselves before God and we fast, well, let's just say God cooks. Because watch what happens next. Let's go to uh let's go to what verse do we want to go to here? I want to go to my favorite verse in the Bible. One of my favorite verses is when uh what verse is it? Where did he say we don't know what to do but our eyes are on you trying to find it.
But basically Jehoshaphat goes to God and he says we don't know what to do but our eyes are on you. And so God responds in oh it's it's in verse 12 actually. We do not know what to do but we are looking to you for help. That doesn't put it as cool as uh like I think the NKJV says the NKJV says we don't know what to do but our eyes are on you. Is anybody in that situation right now in life where you don't know what to do but all you got is God. And like all you can do is just put your eyes on God. Bro, that's like that's all we can do really is just put our eyes on God and focus on God.
And the best way to do that is by I really think it's by fasting and going without food and really locking in with God. Food kind of weighs us down sometimes, man. Because we got to think about it. We got to cook. We got to clean and we just don't eat. We have all the time to be with God. It's kind of like being single. Like when you're in a relationship, your attention is divided. You got to please your wife. You got to please God and your attention is a little bit divided. It's like what Paul was talking about in the Bible. That's what Paul talked about in the Bible. But when you're single, you have time to be fully locked in with God.
And I feel like food, when you just go without it, you have more time to be with God and lock in with God. And so what happens next in the story? What happens next?
Um, God responds and he says, "Don't be or let me see." Do not be afraid. Don't be discouraged by this mighty army, for the battle is not yours, but gods. Tomorrow, march out against them. You will find them coming up through the ascent of Ziz at the end of the valley that opens into the wilderness of Jeru. But you will not even need to fight. Take your positions.
Then stand still and watch the Lord's victory. He is with you, oh people of Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid or discouraged. Go out against them tomorrow, for the Lord is with you. Man, praise God, bro. Because later on, what happens is basically Jehoshaphat, he sends like a worship team to the front lines.
He sends a worship team. He does like the opposite of what everyone would do.
What most of us would do is we would panic. We would stress out. and we would send all of our best warriors and soldiers to the front lines. We would try to figure it all out on our own. But Jehoshaphat humbled himself. He fasted.
He went to God and he said, "I don't know what to do, but my eyes are on you." And God says, "Don't be afraid.
I'm going to fight this battle for you."
And then the next day, he sends the worship team to the front lines. And can you just imagine the guy with the tambourine like, "Uh, I didn't sign up for this. I didn't know I'd be here when I signed up for this job." But before they even got out there, the enemy armies literally just fought themselves and destroyed themselves. And by the time they got out there, the battle was already won. God won the victory for them.
Man, I love this so much because worship came before the victory.
They fasted before they saw God show up.
I believe God is going to show up for for us that because we're fasting, man. I believe God is going to show up. Maybe not in the way we expect him to, but in the way we need him to.
God brought these trials and tribulations into our lives for a reason. God created fasting so that we can take a moment to step back and recharge and connect with and reconnect with him. Ooh, that's a good verse.
Psalm 34:17. When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles.
I feel like we Christians take this for granted. Oh, that's so good.
Mike, can you read Hebrews 5:14 out loud to everyone? Can you comment it um in the chat?
Hebrews 5:14.
Can anyone comment Hebrews 5:14 in the chat? I'll read it.
Comment it in the chat. Comment it in the chat. Comment it in the chat.
Solid food is for those who are mature.
Who through training have the skill to recognize the difference between right and wrong.
Is that talking about the Bible?
Like, is that talking about the the word of God?
You guys explain that verse to me cuz I'm curious.
You guys explain that verse to me. You guys preach to me.
I'm a little lost here.
Babies need milk.
It's not really helping me out too much to be honest. It's referring to spiritual maturity.
We are fasting with a God-given maturity.
I got to read that verse the whole context because I don't really get it to be honest.
Um, God gives us food so we can control on what we eat. There is a sin called gluttony. Yeah, there is a sin called gluttony.
It's what I do with blueberries every day, man. That's why I'm doing this fast. I'm just kidding. But maybe, maybe I'm not. Maybe I am. Pray for me.
Fasting exposes what is really in control.
Yeah, facts. It really does. And you know the thing about a lot of Christians is when they come to the faith and they start, you know, being a Christian, following Jesus, a lot of us will give up, you know, the smoking, the drinking, the lust, all these things. But the one thing a lot of Christians hold on to is that food.
We hold on to food.
You're like, you know, you can take my smoking, you can take my drinking, you can take my lust, but this food, I go to this food for comfort. Whenever I'm stressed and anxious, I go to the fridge. I go to the pantry.
I got to have my food. And it's kind of an idol. And fasting kind of just shows you how much of an idol it is. The Bible says, "Whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God." Now notice it said whether you tithe or go to church.
No, it didn't say that. Whether you read the Bible or pray.
No, it didn't say that.
It said whether you do this or do that. No, it said whether you eat or drink, do it all for the glory of God.
And it just shows you that what we eat is a form of worship to God. And what we don't eat is a form of worship to God.
When we do this fast, it's a form of worship to God.
Yeah, Hannah. Exa. That's one of my favorite parts of fasting is fasting helps you appreciate things more, too.
We are blessed to have food. Amen. It really does make you appreciate it. Like when you come when you break the fast, food literally tastes so good. You're like, "Whoa, we have access to food like this. That's crazy." It really does make you appreciate food. Something we literally need to survive.
Um, I'mma go to Jesus next. I'mma go Luke 4 1-2.
Luke 4 1-2.
Jesus fasted. Man, if you if we are learning from anybody, it's Jesus. And what did Jesus do? He fasted.
Luke 4 1-2 Then Jesus full of the Holy Spirit returned from the Jordan River. He was led by the Spirit in the wilderness where he was tempted by the devil for 40 days. Jesus ate nothing all that time and became very hungry. Yeah, I bet he was hungry. 40 days, bro. Are you kidding me? It's crazy.
So Jesus did a water fast because it never says anything about water. And usually when someone fasted in the Bible, it would tell you that they didn't drink water as well. And it actually makes historical sense because where Jesus fasted, um, there were like springs out there. There were natural springs.
And I bet you those were like some really good springs. Those probably had some great quality water.
So Jesus did a water fast.
for 40 days. And this was before he ever did a single miracle. This was before he ever preached a single sermon, before he did any of that. And it just goes to show you that, let's actually go to verse 14 because it says, um, then Jesus returned to Galilee filled with the Holy Spirit's power.
And it was after he fasted that he was filled with the Holy Spirit's power.
like this fast is what he needed to start his ministry.
It's not it's not it's not even that Jesus needed it. He could have started his ministry without it. But I think he's trying to show us that fasting has serious power. Fasting is powerful and It just shows you how seriously we should take fasting if Jesus himself fasted.
Um, and yeah, while he was fasting, you know, some people say he he was the weakest while he was fasting, and that might be true physically. He might have been weak physically, but he was actually at his strongest.
um spiritually when he was fasting if you think about it because the devil was tempting him and Jesus responded with it is written and he was resisting the devil that's what fasting does man it strengthens your spirit it weakens your flesh but it strengthens your spirit and we don't wrestle against flesh and blood we wrestle against demonic spirits against demons so how important is it to fast nowadays when The world is getting darker and darker and demons are going crazier than ever. We got to be fasting. We got to be in our word or we're going to be in our feelings. We got to be spiritually fed or we're going to be emotionally led.
And so why should we fast?
Why should we fast? I'm I'm I'm asking you guys right now. Give me your guys' answers as to why we should fast.
I'm curious what you guys think.
Oh, talk about the Esther fast. Yeah, I didn't write that one down, but I should though. If you can give me the verses for that.
To show the flesh who is boss. Amen.
It's good. Honor the Lord. Amen. To draw closer to God. Yeah.
It brings us closer to God. Heals us mentally, physically, and spiritually.
Amen.
to hear God's voice more clearly. Amen.
To grow spiritually, to get closer to God. Amen. All great answers. Breaks addiction. Ooh, that's a very good one.
It definitely breaks addiction.
I'm fast. I'm fasting for a breakthrough from lust. Yeah, lust is probably the one closest tied to fasting to be honest because think about the three things Jesus told us to do. He told us to pray, to give, and to fast. And this is all in I think Matthew 6 when we were talking about it.
Jesus said, "When you pray, when you fast, when you give." And what are our three biggest enemies?
Pride, greed, and lust. And fasting, it overcomes lust. Fasting overcomes lust.
Giving overcomes greed. Prayer overcomes pride.
Yeah, I think fasting is I think fasting is the best at overcoming lust to be honest because if you can resist food, you can definitely resist lust.
Mike, is there a type of fast for young teens to do with food? Um, I'm not sure.
I think the Daniel fast will be good probably.
I'm not really sure. You got to look it up. I'm not exactly sure.
So, yeah. Let's talk about the Esther fast as well because they did a community fast. They did a corporate fast. And I'm going to tell the story based off of memory and I might get something wrong. Um, someone said Esther 4:16.
Let me just go off memory. So, Esther was living in a city where the king was very cruel, right? And so, the king had like a death sentence for all these people. And Esther, I think she was like the queen at the time or something like that. Like she was like the leader.
And she called a fast for everybody. And so they fasted. I'm pretty sure they all did a dry fast.
They all did a dry fast. No water, no food for 3 days. And she did that before she went into the king's office. And usually when you went to the king unannounced, like it was over for you.
But she went into the king uh after she fasted and she had holy confidence and she saved her entire nation. That's pretty much the gist of the story, I'm pretty sure. I got to do more studying on that story.
But they fasted as a community. And there's so much power in fasting as a community. That's why I really wanted to do this with you guys as well cuz you guys you guys wanted to do this fast and I was like, "All right, bet. Let's do it." Um you guys you guys have been asking a lot. So, I was going to say, I hope you guys are enjoying the fast, but it's not really meant to be enjoyed. I guess it is cuz we're spending time with God.
It's meant to be like a sacrifice. And, you know, we could have a good time when we're fasting. Count it all joy. Yeah.
But fasting is like a sacrifice for sure because we we all know we'd like to be eating right now. We all know we'd like to be having food in our belly to give us strength and just that taste of food. I don't know what I'm talking about. I'm sorry, guys.
I'm sorry for talking about it. I don't mean to talk about it. Um, but yeah, I think you guys are right.
Yeah, fasting. I have a couple reasons why I think we should fast. Number one, I think it helps you overcome the impossible for sure. Like we talked about in the stories with the story of Esther, with the story of Jehoshaphat, it helps you overcome the impossible and it it just surrenders you to God. My favorite reason to fast though is because it renews your connection with God. You feel so much closer to God when you're fasting. I don't even know how to explain it, but you feel so close to God when you're fasting.
What is it about food that when we go without it, we just feel so close to God? I don't know what it is, but it really lets you hear God.
It makes you deny your flesh so that you can feed your spirit because we have to depend on him. Yeah.
True.
True.
Yeah. And also Jesus said uh Jesus said when the bridegroom is taken away from them then they will fast. So the disciples actually were asking Jesus about fasting and Jesus was like you don't really have to fast right now as long as I'm with you but when I'm away that's when you need to fast. And so we are commanded to fast to be honest. Like we're commanded to fast by Jesus while he's away. And how much more should we be fasting in these times we're living in right now? Guys, I strongly believe we're in the last second of the last days. I know it might sound like repetitive. I know I might sound crazy, but I really think we're in the last second. I mean, there's so many reasons to believe it. Literally, from Adam to Abraham, it was 2,000 years. From Abraham to Jesus, another 2,000 years.
And from Jesus to today, another 2,000 years. And what does the Bible say? A thousand years to us is like a day to the Lord. So that means it's only been two days for Jesus. So when he said he's coming back soon, he really meant it.
Not only that, but just think about it from um in the very beginning, how many days did it take for God to create the world, the heavens and the earth? Six days. And what year are we on right now? The 6,000th year.
And what day did God create the sun? The fourth day. What day did the son of God What What year was the son of God born?
The 4,000th year.
John Bevere's book. Amen. I've been reading it. I've been tapped in. I love it so much.
I literally been learning so much from John Bevere. Shout out to John Bevere.
Everything Jesus said would happen in the last days is literally happening right in front of our eyes.
And like I like I say, like I don't care if it makes me look crazy, man. You know who else look crazy? Noah. Until it started to rain. And Jesus literally said the last days would be like the days of Noah where people are just going on about their life, getting married, drinking, going on to work, going to school, and just doing their everyday things, not expecting anything to happen. And then boom, that sky cracks open. Jesus comes back. And man, everybody's gangster until Jesus comes back. Everybody's got a plan until they get punched in the face.
I'm just saying, man, we shouldn't be scared of Jesus's return. We should be prepared and we should actually be eagerly anticipating it. Why do I say in eagerly anticipating? The Bible talks about it multiple times how we should eagerly wait for Jesus's return. In fact, Jesus's return is literally the second most talked about topic in the New Testament behind salvation.
And the Bible says when we have this hope inside of us for the return of Jesus, it purifies us. And that makes sense when you think about it. Because when when you think about it, if we knew that Jesus was coming back tomorrow, how differently would we live today?
You see what I'm saying? You see how eagerly waiting for Jesus in return will purify us and make us live holier lives?
What do you guys think?
Yeah, if it's preached correctly, it shouldn't bring fear but joy. We are his bride waiting for our wedding day. Our groom Jesus. Yeah, facts. I mean, really think about it, though. Jesus is coming back to rescue us. And I'm not going to lie, I I believe in the rapture. I know some people are probably like post-trib.
I'm preerttrib nowadays to be honest because the Bible talks many times about how we won't have to go through wrath.
Like God will spare us from the wrath.
And if you think about it, it makes sense historically because God rescued Noah from the flood.
He God didn't like make Noah have to go through the flood. He had an ark. um he saved him from the flood. God with Lot and his family, he rescued them from the wrath where he poured out his wrath on Sodom and Gomorrah. It just makes sense kind of and the Bible talks about like a catching away. It makes sense to me. I can see perspectives on how we would go through the tribulation maybe, but it just doesn't make sense when you read the Bible in the full context.
I I always say we should um hope for the best but prepare for the worst.
Yeah. It's called the catching away.
Yeah.
How do you not be left behind in the rapture? You got to have a relationship with Jesus. Listen, statistically, 50% of Christians are not ready. And that might scare you, but I hope it brings you urgency because there's a parable Jesus gave where there were five of them were wise and five of them were foolish because five of them had oil and the other five had no oil. In other words, five of them were prepared and the other five were not prepared.
And there was a wedding happening and so the bridegroom would arrive sometime in the night. And when he arrived, it's either you were ready or you weren't.
You either had oil or you didn't have oil. And so the bridegroom arrived at midnight, the darkest hour of the night.
Just saying. The darker the world gets, the closer we are to the return of Jesus. And when the bridegroom arrived, only the five who had oil were able to go in with the bridegroom.
And it's kind of interesting. When the bridegroom arrived, the five who didn't have oil were asking the ones who had oil, "Yo, can we borrow some of yours?"
But they were like, "No, we wouldn't have enough for us if we let you have some." And that goes to show you.
You got to have oil in your lamps, y'all. What's oil in your lamps mean? It means you got to have a relationship with Jesus. Because check this out.
After this, they were banging on the door like, "Lord, let us in." The ones who didn't have oil, they were left outside. They were left outside. And they were banging on the door like, "Lord, let us in." But the bridegroom said, "I never knew you." And that's what Jesus is going to have to tell people someday. Depart from me. I never knew you. Not you never knew me.
Because there's a big difference between knowing someone and being known by them.
I can say I know LeBron James. I can tell you all his stats. I can know everything about his childhood, his upbringing, his championships.
But if I saw LeBron James in public and was like, "Yo, LeBron, it's me, Mike."
He'd be like, "I don't know you.
And that's what Jesus is going to have to tell people someday. Depart from me.
I never knew you.
But if we have a relationship with Jesus, we're good.
How do you know you have a relationship with Jesus? It's a great question. How would you guys answer that? I'm curious what you guys think.
Yeah, we should do that. Ansley, that's actually a good question. How do you know you have a relationship with Jesus? I've actually never I've thought about it, but like I'm curious your guys' answers.
Yeah, I'd have to agree with Chanta the most.
Fruit. You're going to have fruit.
And you kind of just know even if you haven't talked to him in a while like me and my brother me and my brother went about a year where we didn't really talk much with each a lot with each other. He was getting married and I was just you know doing my thing but we didn't talk that much. But it's not that our relationship ended. We both know we both knew we like still had the relationship. We both knew we were still like homies.
It's just we didn't have that intimacy, I guess you could say, or that closeness.
So, you can have a relationship with Jesus and be distant from him. And that's not what I recommend. I recommend you talk to Jesus every day. I I recommend we all have a relationship with Jesus. I fall short. There's days where I don't talk to Jesus. There's days where I talk more about Jesus than I talk to Jesus. A lot of days where I do that to be honest.
But um yeah, it's 6:38. We It's been an hour.
How do you start a relationship with Jesus?
You just start talking with him to be honest. Start talking with him, reading the word. You don't over complicate it to be honest because there's no like there's no rule book to this stuff, man.
The Bible is your rule book. The Bible is the basic instructions before leaving earth. But there's no like clear path of being a Christian, I guess you could say. And that's with anything in life. If you want to be successful at anything in life, it's not like there's like a game plan or a guide book. You kind of just got to step out of the boat like Peter.
When Peter was walk Peter was walking on water like um Peter saw Jesus walking on water and he was like Jesus if that's really you tell me to come. And Jesus and Jesus was like all right bet come.
And Peter had to step out of the boat to realize he could walk on water.
He had to step out of the boat. You just got to step out and do the step that take the step that's in front of you and then the next step will reveal itself to you.
Um, yeah, I do want to talk about Isaiah 58, too.
Everybody, if you can go to Isaiah 58, it's like a really good thing on fasting as well.
Isaiah 58.
Should we do an all night stream? I'm just kidding. There's no way, bro. I got to get my sleep.
I gotta I gotta get in my sleep, man.
All right. Isaiah 58. I'm pretty sure it's what verses are we doing here. Let me see.
Okay, so um trying to see what we should read here.
Let's go to verse six. No, this is the kind of fasting I want. Free those who are wrongly imprisoned. Lighten the burden of those who work for you. Let the oppressed go free. And remove the chains that bind people.
Share your food with the hungry and give shelter to the homeless. Give clothes to those who need them. And do not hide from relatives who need your help.
And before this, God was actually kind of rebuking them for fasting because they were doing it for the wrong reasons. There is, you know, a way you could fast and it not be beneficial for your spirit because you're just doing it for the physical benefits and you're doing it for other people to see you.
Um, fasting from sleep, no way. Yeah, that's that's a crazy type of fast. I don't know if I'm built for that kind of fast.
And Lord, someone asked for a prayer request for someone named George. The spirit of confusion is attacking him.
Lord, I pray over George that you would remove the spirit of confusion, remove the mental fog, the insecurity, the short memory issues.
Holy Spirit, I pray you reveal yourself to George and do what only you can do.
Have your way. In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
Um, someone can be right next to you speaking. If you're not intentionally listening to them, you won't hear or understand what they are saying. Focus and tune in. Yeah, true, Hannah. That's good.
All right, so I think this is all I got for like verses and stuff that I wanted to read. I just want to talk to you guys now.
Let's just talk about what you guys are thinking.
If you guys got anything you want to read, we've been on this day for more than an hour.
It's not like I got to go eat dinner after this. Usually I got Usually I eat dinner after the Bible studies.
Someone said, "What? You You're really asking me my go-to meal. Gina, you got to do this to me right now.
I'm not going to lie, I eat the same thing every day. I eat uh ground beef, blueberries, squash. I've been doing spaghetti squash recently. I really like it. And I've been I do I've been doing raw yogurt with honey and frozen blueberries.
Bro, why am I doing this? Why did you ask me this question? I'm gonna literally give people so much temptation right now. Don't listen to me, everybody.
I actually like talking about food when I'm fasting. I don't know why, but yeah, I do raw yogurt.
Um, it has more like the probiotics in it.
Let's talk about spiritual food facts.
Facts. What What have you guys been learning recently? What have you guys been learning in your walk with God recently? I'm curious.
What's something you've been learning?
Someone said, "God uses you all the time to reach me. You changed my life." Thank you. Oh, God bless you. God bless you.
Waiting on God. That's good. Gina, what have you been learning about waiting on God? Someone said, "Being careful what I eat." That's a good thing to learn.
God has ways to warn you.
True. That God's plan is better than ours. Facts.
How many hours of sleep do you get daily? I try to get like eight, bro. I'm exact same thing.
Um, there's so many comments right now.
I'm trying to see. Just be. Accept that we are completely out of control and just surrender to God. Focus on him. And just the next step hardest, but it's Yeah. So true, John. Trusting in the father and his son rather than the world and my own knowing. That's good, Nate.
That's good.
That's crazy, Becky. That's awesome to hear.
Someone said, "Why did you take a two two-year hiatus for fasting more than 24 hours?" Honestly, just distraction and not making an intentional effort to do it.
Um, to be honest with you, I think I just got distracted.
It's almost 1:00 a.m. for you. Oh, yeah.
Call it a night. God bless you, Edward.
God bless you. Thanks for staying up this late.
Is food the only thing we fast? Food is biblical fasting.
Hannah, great question. What day in July are you thinking of doing? I have no idea to be honest with you. Um, there's going to be there's gonna be shows coming up though for sure.
I have no idea. I I'll let you know though for sure.
Mike, did you see my previous messages?
Because if not, pay attention to this.
Nope, I did not.
I have no idea. Hannah, I'll let you know ASAP.
Merch is coming soon, y'all. It's a process.
It's a process.
The designs are done.
I'll show you the designs next week.
And I'll probably I want to do giveaways in this as well. So, I got I got some extra shirts that are like some OG shirts that aren't going to be for sale actually, but I'm going to give away some stuff to you guys for sure.
I'm excited for that. I don't know how I'm going to do it. How do you guys recommend I give away?
because like not everybody I have probably like 30 shirts that I could just give away right now, but I'm not going to do it yet. I just I'm curious what I should do like how I should make it a challenge.
Spin a wheel maybe, but I feel like there's too many people.
I'll sign them if you want me to as well.
Cahoot quiz.
Yeah, maybe something like that.
Yeah, maybe maybe a Bible trivia question. Yeah, maybe that would be good.
I have a hoodie that's coming out. So, I have one hoodie and it's going to be It's not a good day, it's a God day.
It's a pretty simple design, but I think it'll be a cool shirt.
I always say it's not a good day, it's a God day. So, I think that's like a pretty uh on brand thing for me.
And then I also have a uh God made a way shirt. I have a big old amen shirt. It says like in Jesus name on the front and then amen on the back. really big.
It's gonna be some cool stuff. So, my next step in the process of doing the merch is like figuring out what uh fabric and what uh kind of shirts I want to go with. I'm going to do cotton because I think cotton is healthy. So, um yeah, I'm going definitely do cotton, so don't worry. But I'm just trying to figure out like which company to go with for like the uh shirt style. So yeah, guys, I might end the stream here. I might end the Bible study here.
I've been needing a hoodie with the nails as a cross. These are from Three Nails, by the way. This isn't me. It's from Three Nails. I love Three Nails. if you want to support their uh their brand. I'm I have nothing to do with their brand. So, all right guys, thank you guys so much for being here, man. This was a great stream, a great Bible study. Let me pray. Let's do a prayer. We got to pray.
We got to pray this out right here. We got to do a prayer for sure. All right, let's pray. Heavenly Father, thank you so much for this fast that we're on right now. Thank you that we can humble ourselves before you. And you promised to reward us. You promised to exalt us when we do this. But we don't even do that for th we don't even fast for those reasons, God. We fast so that we can hear your voice clearer. We fast so that we can grow closer to you. Help us all to just grow closer to you, God, and just become closer that we would all feel your presence right now in a way we've never felt before. We're all gathering from all around the world, and you see us fast right now. You see us giving up food. You're not blind to it, God. You and you you love that we're doing this. You are pleased when we do this. And that's all that we can do is just live a life that's pleasing to you.
That's the greatest thing we could ever do. Because God, when Jesus was getting baptized and you didn't say, "This is my son in whom I am." You said, "This is my son in whom I am well pleased." And that's the greatest thing we could ever do is please you.
So help us to just continue this fast and stay strong. Give us strength in the spirit. Help us to deny our flesh and really strengthen our spirit. God, help us to be in tune with what you're saying. Hear your voice and give us clarity on this fast. Give us wisdom.
Help us all to just stay strong and not give into temptation of eating food even though it's so tempting sometimes.
And we thank you, God, that you hear our prayer and that we're doing a very powerful thing by fasting.
So do what only you can do, God. Help us in this time.
Let answers come out of this fast. Let miracles come out of this fast. Let breakthrough.
Let open doors. Let just do what only you can do, God. Have your way. And if we don't get anything else out of this fast other than you, then it was so worth it. It's not even funny. It was so worth it to just get more of you, God. You are the greatest.
You are the You are all we need. If you are all we have, God, we have all we need. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Jesus, that you died for us. Thank you for everything you did for us. We love you so much, God.
We praise you, God.
And I love these people so much. Thank you that we can do this as a community.
And if there's anybody in here who doesn't know you, reveal yourself to them. Show them that you're real. Show them that you are the way, the truth, and the life, Jesus.
And do what only you can do, God. We We love you so much. We praise you. In Jesus' name we pray.
Amen.
Amen.

Just get back on it. Um I'm doing 48 hours personally. I'll let you guys know next week if I decide to go longer. For right now, I'm just thinking 48 hours is what I'm going to do.

I'm gonna get going. I'm probably do a walk later.
You can stay up to date. I I didn't post anywhere on my social media that I'm fasting just because like that's that goes against what Jesus wants us to do.
So, I'm not really going to talk about it on my social media. Um, but with you guys, I love you guys, man. Have a great rest of your day, night, whatever time of day it is. Goodbye, everybody. I love y'all. Love y'all, man. Deuce.
All right, Caro, thank you so much. I thought I committed blasphemy when I'm praying against the enemy. I accidentally said Holy Spirit, but meant to say help. I asked if I blasphe.
You're all good, man. No worries. No worries. Don't even worry about it.
You're It was an accident, bro. No worries. No worries. You're all good.
