This video examines how congressional oversight serves as a mechanism for holding government officials accountable, using the example of Kash Patel's Senate testimony where he was challenged on documented allegations of misconduct including excessive drinking and false statements about Kilmar Abrego Garcia, demonstrating that political figures must face consequences for dishonesty and misconduct when testifying before legislative bodies.

Trump Doesn't Care About You (Lookin' at You MAGA)Added:
Hi everybody. It's Hawk. Welcome back to my channel. Thanks for coming back.
Yeah, I'm recording this Tuesday, May 12th at about 2:30 p.m. Uh it's been a pretty wild day today. Donald Trump left for his trip to China after going completely nutters on Truth Social posting overnight.
Uh he said some really [ __ ] up things during his presser before he got on his flight. Kash Patel testified before a House Committee uh hearing House Committee today or maybe it was a Senate.
And then Pete Hegseth testified today as well. And so we're going to show some video clips from both of those. It went poorly for both of them.
And just when when I'm showing you these clips, man, just watch the petulance from Kash Patel and Pete Hegseth. The just outright disrespect and petulance uh towards Democrats and towards Republicans when they're getting called out on their [ __ ] But first, let's start with Donald Trump talking about how he doesn't care about the financial situations of Americans relative to his war on Iran, skyrocketing costs, and that gasoline prices have gone up 60% since the beginning of March. When you're negotiating with Iran, Mr. President, to what extent are American financial situations motivating you to make a deal?
Not even a little bit. The only thing that matters when I'm talking about Iran, they can't have a nuclear weapon.
I don't think about Iran was nowhere close to having a nuclear weapon before we launched this war. This was a voluntary war of choice.
Uh Donald Trump's entire administration said we obliterated uh their underground nuclear facilities last June. And Tulsi Gabbard confirmed in Senate testimony earlier this year that the Iranians had made no effort to reconstitute those nuclear facilities underground. They're still buried.
Their enriched uranium is buried.
They were nowhere near getting a nuclear weapon.
Um but Donald Trump can't admit that because we are losing this war.
And on top of that, he just says he doesn't give two shits about the financial situation of Americans and the impact that this war is having on them.
American financial situation, I don't think about anybody. I think about one thing. We cannot let Iran have a nuclear weapon. That's all.
That's the only thing that matters.
It's just absolutely stunning.
Uh it is absolutely stunning that he said that on camera.
It's just I just I mean I saw that clip this morning and I was just like I was speechless.
What did he run on? He ran on the economy. He ran on inflation. He ran on bringing down prices on day one.
And now he's like, "I don't think about Americans' financial situations at all."
Uh reaction to that was swift on Twitter.
Uh "Oh my god." responded Midas Touch.
Journalist Scott McFarland said Democratic ad makers are bookmarking this. Huh.
Huh.
And he added that he also asked Republican Senator from Wyoming Cynthia Lummis about Trump's comment, and she said he didn't mean it.
This should be in every Democratic ad in the midterms for every candidate running for every office, agreed Ron Filipkowski. Uh Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro wrote, "Gas is over $4.60 a gallon in Pennsylvania today. Donald Trump's chaos continues to jack up costs and make life harder for everyone. He literally doesn't give a damn.
Democrat Adriano Espaillat from New York chimed in saying Trump just admitted what we've known all along. He does not care if Americans can't afford to live in the United States.
Tommy Vietor from Pod Save America described Trump's comments as another absolutely horrendous quote that will be shoved down Republicans throats in the 2026 midterms as they should be.
As they should be.
All right, kids, buckle up. It's time for Kash Patel J. Edgar Boozer who testified before a Senate subcommittee today and it went poorly.
As I said in my opening remarks, I really don't care about your personal life so long as you are This one takes a minute to unfold, but it's worth it. able to perform your public and official responsibilities which are awesome responsibilities.
Multiple reports including reporting by The Atlantic have alleged episodes I still can't believe this [ __ ] guy is the director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. So it's of excessive drinking, unexplained absences, and behavior that concern current and former FBI and DOJ officials.
You have publicly denied those allegations and filed a defamation lawsuit. So today as you testify before Congress, is it your testimony that those allegations are categorically false? So bear in mind, Senator Van Hollen is not saying these things to Kash Patel as though they are true. He's just laying the foundation for his question.
This is what has been reported.
That's all he's doing. He is not the one who is making these allegations at Kash Patel. Unequivocally, categorically false. So, there have been no occasions during your tenure when FBI personnel were unable to promptly reach you. And he's just asking the reasonable follow-up questions based on what has been reported. Absolutely not. You can ask my entire workforce. They hear from me at every single hour of the day, as do these great gentlemen here, as do the men and women in the inner agency and state and local law enforcement and the White House.
Bear in mind, I have seen multiple interviews with multiple uh former FBI special agents, some of who have been there for 20 25 years before being fired by Kash Patel, and to a person, they say that literally every single employee of the FBI absolutely hates Kash Patel. And so, there have been no occasions when your security detail had difficulty waking or locating you. Is that right?
No, but it's a total farce. I don't even know where you get this stuff, but it doesn't make it credible because you say so. I'm not saying it uh Director Patel.
I I It's been written and documented.
>> You are literally saying it.
>> No, I'm saying that these are reports.
Uh Kash Patel is too [ __ ] stupid to understand when someone is recounting things that have been reported by others, as opposed to he's interpreting this as a United States Senator making these allegations against Kash Patel himself. Kash Patel is an astonishingly dumb, fragile, ego-driven man uh who knows that he is way, way, way out of his depth in this position.
Director Patel, He lives in terror of that fact being discovered by others.
Unlike Unlike baseless reports, the only person that was slinging margaritas in El Salvador on the taxpayer dollar with a convicted gang-banging rapist was you.
Now, let's unpack that for a second. So, what is the one thing that members of the Trump administration are doing when they go to the Senate or they go to the house to testify before one of the committees?
They dig up as much dirt as they possibly can on the Democrats who sit on those committees. And what Kash Patel just said is that between the two of us, you were the only one who was slinging margaritas on the taxpayer dime. And what that is in reference to, remember Kilmar Abrego Garcia.
Um So let's see. So okay, so Senator Van Hollen is from Maryland.
Kilmar Abrego Garcia lived in Maryland and is one of uh Senator Van Hollen's constituents.
Kilmar Abrego Garcia was mistakenly arrested by ICE.
Then in violation of a court order, he and another 265 or 270 other Venezuelan men were flown to uh El Salvador and thrown into Secot prison where they believed they were going to spend the rest of their lives until they died having been convicted of no crimes. Kilmar Abrego Garcia has never been convicted of a crime in the United States or in El Salvador. And Kash Patel just referred to him as a convicted rapist and a convicted gang banger. Crimes that not only has Kilmar Abrego never been convicted of, he has never been charged with.
When the DOJ indicted Kilmar Abrego Garcia in retaliation for him filing a motion with the court to have him returned to the United States, then the United States indicted him. In that indictment, there were all kinds of allegations of him being uh sexually assaulting a minor, uh being a gang member, being a drug runner, being a drug smuggler, being a drug kingpin. He was not charged with any of those offenses in that indictment.
Nor was he ever convicted of any of them. Again, another example, Kash Patel, stupid and wrong and lying. He lied to this committee multiple times today.
Under oath, that is a felony.
Between Kilmer Abrego Garcia and Kash Patel, Kash Patel has committed way more felonies than Kilmer Abrego Garcia has by his multiple multiple instances of lying to Congress. And between Kilmer Abrego Garcia and President Trump, President Trump is the one who has been convicted of 34 felonies. Now, let's get back to the testimony of this inbred [ __ ] who perpetually looks like a possum who's bug-eyed and looks like he just [ __ ] his pants. You're the only person that ran up a $7,000 bar tab in Washington D.C. at the lobby was you.
So, a $7,000 bar tab in Washington D.C.
that was charged to It appeared on some of Senator Van Hollen's campaign finance reports. That could be anything. That could be they paid for a fundraiser and they had people with lots of money come to an event and bought them drinks.
That is not Senator Van Hollen in the middle of the day going out to lunch and spending $7,000 on alcohol.
Kash Patel knows that.
Kash Patel doesn't [ __ ] care. He's just getting into a fight with him and throwing [ __ ] like that out because Kash Patel has an audience of one, Donald Trump. So, the only individual in this room making allegations of drinking on the taxpayer's dime during the day was you. Director Patel, come on. These are serious allegations that were made against you.
Kash, when you watch this guy, same thing with Pete Hegseth.
My overwhelming impression that comes away from watching both of them is just what gigantic [ __ ] they are.
I have never seen a man who is confident in himself, who is confident in his masculinity, who is confident in his character, who is confident in who he is, act like Kash Patel or Pete Hegseth.
I've never seen it. They're [ __ ] [ __ ] Apologies for using that word. It's what fits. lawsuit that you filed. You drinking margaritas with a gang banger you screwing on video.
You running You drinking margaritas with a gang banger. Chris Van Hollen arranged to go down to El Salvador and get Kilmar Abrego Garcia out of prison for an afternoon so that he could meet his constituent and talk with them. They met at a Mexican restaurant. Kilmar Abrego Garcia, having just spent, I don't know, a month or two in the worst, most violent prison in the Western Hemisphere, decided to order a margarita while they were having their conversation.
Again, Kash Patel is a is a gigantic lying [ __ ] at the bar tab at the lobby bar has been filed by your own office.
goes to show during the day. That's you.
This is the ultimate example of hypocrisy. I will not be tarnished by baseless allegations and fraudulent statements from the media.
This also tells me that that the way that that the way that Jaya Garbujar, Kash Patel, has responded to the allegations in this article about his drinking tells me that pretty much every single one of those allegations is true. The fact that you mentioned that indicates you don't know what you are talking about. Now, The only thing I know is you're the one drinking margaritas with fellow Actually, that's a [ __ ] statement.
Kilmer Abrego Garcia has never been convicted of a felony, and Senator Van Hollen was not drinking a margarita at the same time that Kilmer Abrego Garcia was.
And I'm asking you about your statements.
>> I've answered that.
>> And I'm asking you about a particular report. And it's not a protest. It's So, let me ask you this.
Um I mean, he's a [ __ ] 13-year-old.
He is a [ __ ] little 13-year-old.
Are you willing to take the the the test that it's it's called the audit test that members of our active duty military and others take to determine whether they have a drinking problem? I'll take any test you're willing to take.
>> I will take it, Director Patel. I'll take it. Ready to take it? Let's go.
Senator Chris Van Hollen is not an alcoholic who is routinely drunk on the job. Yes or no? Let's go. Side by side.
I'll take it.
All right. What do you think the odds are that that's actually going to happen?
And then we had Senator Chris Coons who does a great job on these kinds of committees and does a great job of questioning these kinds of witnesses and who about a year ago during one of Bibi Netanyahu's visits to Washington, D.C.
struggled to get into a group photo with Bibi Netanyahu. Senator Chris Coons has also taken taken hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of thousands of dollars from AIPAC and related lobbying organizations.
But in this context, Senator Coons does a great job.
He's asking him, "How much did your trip to the Olympics cost where you got shit-faced uh, with the men's Olympic hockey team?" Um, Director, I just I have to ask you one last question. Um, you attended uh, the Olympics uh, in Milan. Um, how much did your trip cost and to what extent did that help uh, you carry out your mission uh, as Director of the FBI? I greatly appreciate the question, Senator. As you know, the FBI and DHS are responsible for the security of the Olympics, the World Cup, the F1, the Super Bowl, and everything else. We We're responsible for the security of the Olympics when they take place in Italy.
250,000 Americans traveled to Milan.
We're proud that we stood up our JOC there and had zero major security Stood up our what?
security incidents involving American citizens. And what we did was we purposely planned that trip around the Olympics because as I mentioned in my opening, the top cyber criminal from the CCP was housed in Italian custody.
With the while there, we were able to work Top cyber criminal uh, from the Chinese Communist Party was in Italian custody.
In Italian custody.
Italian law enforcement had that person in custody.
He wasn't roaming the crowds during the men's hockey game in the arena.
He was in police custody. work an agreement, an arrangement to have that individual expelled from Italy instead of going back to China like has so often happened in places like Serbia. And so, we accomplished that mission and we kept it quiet and that individual was returned to America 2 weeks ago. Weird, I didn't hear a number about how much his trip cost.
Uh, then former uh, Republican Representative uh, Dylan excuse me, Denver Riggleman.
He was Republican from Virginia.
Uh, he worked in intelligence for years and years. Uh he had some thoughts on the tactics that Kash Patel uses when he is under this kind of testimony.
Uh Denver Riggleman is extremely smart even though he used to be a Republican.
Uh he worked very closely with the January 6th Committee in exposing all of that dumbfuckery on the part of the Trump administration.
Let's listen in to what Mr. Riggleman has to say about Kash Patel's Senate testimony. The lawmakers are living in two separate realities. There's the one where where Kash Patel is a man facing all these very serious allegations about his competence.
There's the one where they are witnessing uh political politically motivated investigations into Donald Trump's perceived enemies.
And there's the one on the other side where the FBI has never been doing a better job. Uh never been more effective and is cleaning up the political mess that past administrations have made.
It's really confounding.
Sorry, I should have fast-forwarded. You know, I've been on here a lot, Katie, and I love talking to you, but there's a few things because I've been on both sides, right? Uh And I was usually a little bit more confrontational than the other individuals I think that sat in Congress a little longer, but the first thing I noticed as soon as he gets in trouble, he paints himself as a martyr.
And that's the first thing I notice when somebody's doing this type of uh this sort of trying to bob and weave is that as soon as somebody says, "Hey, you've done this." "Well, did you look at my placard?" It's one of the weakest immediately. You go, "Wait, we're not talking about your placard. Obviously, you don't have a good answer for what I just asked you. I don't care about your placard." And first second thing, past performance is indicative of uh future performance. Kash Patel doesn't tell the the Katie. And I think that's the thing that's interesting to He's a lawyer and a victim and a bully. to me is that the first thing I'm going to ask, well, you said you were in Italy because China I mean Italy had China's CCP lead hacker, you know, in custody. Well, if he's in custody, why are you there? And if it was so important for you to be there, why were you drinking with the US hockey team?
Because wouldn't you be actually on watch if it was that important? That is a common sense follow-up question that she be should should be a bit of a face masher.
And the other thing, too, is I'm going to believe Brian Grish over Kash Patel any day. And so, when you're looking at this, it's almost like the sane washing sort of just everybody's all kind and quiet. We have a administration out of control. When he talks about decentralization and you look at these statistics, where are those actually baseline numbers coming from? What are your sources on that? Every time he says something like, well, I I would like for the exhibit. I want to see the sources on what you just said because right now we're not seeing these exact numbers.
And so, I watch these individuals. I don't know if their staffers aren't preparing them with questions through a law enforcement liaison. If they don't have an FBI liaison that they can call out immediately, they should be calling everybody there. And as soon as he talks about Iran Oh, for goodness' sakes.
Right? Oh, you're Oh, so you've backed into the fact that there's Iranian sleeper cells. Is that what you're alluding to? Who are they? What are their names? What are the names of the people that weren't fired? If you said they were fired, how many people do you have there now?
And don't they have a list of the names of the people that were terminated? And that's another tactic that Kash Patel routinely uses. He brings up the war in Iran and acts like the fact that I am sitting here having to answer questions from you Democrats is hampering our ability to fight the war in Iran, despite the fact that he's the director of the FBI, not the CIA, and is not in the military, and is not in the Middle East.
So, Pete Hoekstra also testified uh today in front of a Senate subcommittee, uh and it did not go well for him either.
Even Lindsey Graham lost his [ __ ] Secretary Hagel said, if the mediator Pakistan is a mediator in the case Pakistani officials, if the mediator is allowing reconnaissance aircraft from Iran to be parked in Pakistani bases, do you think that's consistent with being a fair mediator?
Pete Hagel said don't want anything to do with that. Again, I wouldn't want to get into the middle of these negotiations, Hagel said. Well, I do, said Senator Graham. I want to get in the middle of these negotiations. I don't trust Pakistan as far as I can throw them. If they actually do have Iranian aircraft parked in Pakistani bases to protect Iranian military assets, that tells me we should be looking maybe for somebody else to mediate. No wonder this damn thing is going nowhere.
>> [laughter] >> It's unclear whether or not Lindsey Graham had had a couple of pops.
>> [laughter] >> Before today's Senate hearing, he also got it from another Republican.
Senator Jeanne Shaheen from Wait, no, I was thinking of the wrong the wrong Jeanne. I was thinking of Jeanne Schmidt from Ohio.
Jeanne Shaheen, a Democrat from New Hampshire told Pete Hagel flat out that we have not won this war. And which we haven't.
And I'm going to do a separate video about that later on today. But let's let's watch her interaction with Pete Kegsbreath.
I can't [ __ ] believe these [ __ ] people are running our government. It's really amazing. Members of Congress have expressed our concern that Iran is receiving intelligence support from Russia to target our service members even as we loosen sanctions on the Kremlin.
Russia's making $4 billion from oil sanctions relief because we've loosened those sanctions.
Um as has been testified to an Iranian Shahed drone cost about 35,000. That's enough money for hundreds of thousands of drones supporting Russia's war in Ukraine and billions for Iran to reconstitute its industrial Although Ukraine is actually kicking Russia's ass right now.
They really are. It's quite It's kind of amazing. industrial base. So, if one of the goals that's been outlined by the president as part of this war is to destroy Iran's defense industrial base, don't you think we ought to be putting more pressure on Russia and putting those sanctions back on those Russian oil ships so that they are not um continuing to fund Iran in this war?
Senator, we we know Russia uh is an nefarious actor on a lot of levels and account for that, but I would Tell Donald Trump that. They the destruction of Iran's defense industrial base has been highly effective.
>> to the contrary, we're not accounting for that if we're giving Russia the opportunity to earn $4 billion a month, $20 billion by the end of the year if we leave those sanctions lifted for that time, and during which they can continue to fund Iran. The destruction of defense of Iran's defense industrial base has been clear and overwhelming. The The destruction of Iran's defense industrial base has been clear and overwhelming.
Okay, this is the point that I keep making.
Pete Hegseth and Donald Trump are fighting a war where they determine whether or not we have won based on how many things we have blown up.
And we've blown up thousands of things.
We have blown up more things than Iran has blown up. That means that we have won the war. Despite the fact that's all tactics.
Despite the fact that we achieved almost none of our actual strategic objectives, Iran is fighting an economic war.
They've closed the Strait of Hormuz.
They have completely [ __ ] this country. They are completely [ __ ] the entire planet and plunging the entire planet into a global recession.
They're not fighting a military tactical war. They're fighting an economic war using some military tactics to achieve that objective.
What objectives have we achieved? None.
And Pete Hegseth is just like, we blew up more [ __ ] than they did. It's overwhelming force. That means that we won. We've completely degraded their military, even though they're still launching missiles and drones with impunity.
Well, it's certainly not clear to me as a member of the committee because what we see is Iran still producing drones.
They're still engaged in this conflict.
We have not won this war despite >> There's a difference between pulling a drone out of a cave that's been collapsed and producing more drones.
That's a different thing. Well, maybe so, but if Iran still has almost 50% of their missile capacity and the ability to pull drones out of caves and still injure our allies and US service members, then we have not won the war.
Pete Hegseth and Kash Patel are just whiny little [ __ ] They are ridiculous men. I don't understand why anyone takes them seriously. And I think very, very, very, very few people, including Republicans, do take either one of them seriously. And for Donald Trump to come out on camera and say on live television that he doesn't give a [ __ ] about the financial impacts on Americans from inflation, rising prices, rising gasoline prices, and and the economic effects of the Iran war is equally as stunning to me.
Um anyway, thank you for watching. Uh I'm Hawk. I always appreciate you guys coming to my channel. Please click like, leave a comment. Uh leave questions in the comments. Get get get discussions going. Start bickering with each other if you want to. And please please please please please subscribe to my channel.
Our numbers are down 40% this year.
So, I don't know if YouTube and its overseers are capitulating or obeying in advance uh with the Trump administration to try to prevent Donald Trump's corpulent globulous eye of Sauron from landing on them.
Um but thanks for watching. I'm Hawk. I'll see you soon.
Be safe this week.
