SoCal sees gradual cooldown ahead of possible showers

[00:00:00]This is going to be a great Sunday to get outdoors. A little chilly for me, but for people who like it a little on the cooler side, it's going to be great.

Maybe just start with a morning jacket, sweater, but then you'll want to take that off as we are going to see some warming temperatures by about 10:00 a.m. And as we move into the afternoon hours though, we are going to see those temperatures still right around the low 80s to upper [music] 70s, but breezy winds will start to pick up.

[00:00:21]So, you may want to hold tight to that sweater or jacket. Taking a beautiful look over Long Beach. They're getting ready for that final day of the Long Beach Grand Prix. You're looking at 58° clear skies, a light wind out there. So, if you're going to be heading out the door, just a reminder, you may want to at least have something warmer. So, maybe just jeans and a t-shirt would be a good day for that cuz it's not going to be quite as hot as what we dealt with yesterday. We will be dropping those temperatures by as much as about 2 to 5°, especially along that coastline there. 44° right now in Wrightwood, 61 in Ontario with 59 in LA, 56° in Oxnard.

[00:00:54]You're looking at temperatures around 62 in Hawthorne. All right, so the winds again, they're going to pick up as we start moving closer to lunchtime. Really increasing with an onshore flow around 2:00 p.m. And that'll continue at least until 6:00. So, breezy afternoon hours for you and then finally starting to die down just a bit more as we start moving into your Monday morning. Now, do expect to see temperatures going from those low 60s to 70 by noon. That's for the beaches. Mid-70s in LA and Orange County and we are going to be looking at much warmer temperatures for areas of the Inland Empire as well as the valley around 78° by noon and then 85 later this afternoon. All right, we're talking more about rain and showers headed our way. I'll break that all down for you.
