[00:00:00]All right, we mentioned this earlier that we have that high surf advisory. It does end at 11:00 tonight, but if you are still going to the beaches cuz it is still so hot and maybe you're just about to get off work and you want to go out in the water, just be prepared. We're still dealing with the big waves. It ends at 11:00 tonight. Waves will be subsiding. Strong rip currents are still going to be possible the rest of the day. Minor beach erosion though not super likely because the high tides are fairly low. They're not that high, especially compared to what we saw last week with the king tide. So, generally less than 6 ft. All right, here's that monsoon moisture. It has been staying off to the east of us and the chance for any showers and thunderstorms is pretty minimal today and tomorrow. It does start to bump up slightly Thursday and Friday in our mountain communities.

[00:00:42]Temperatures will also be climbing during that stretch and it's already really warm. We're in the 80s almost everywhere in the county. El Cajon in the 90s as well as in Campo 70s. There's only a few of them, Mount Laguna, Palomar, and Imperial Beach and triple digits in our desert communities. So, a bit warmer for the coast and the valleys. And again, this is going to be a trend we're going to be seeing into the days ahead.

[00:01:03]On top of the days being warm, hot, nights are also going to be warm. In fact, temperatures during the day and at night are going to be trending about 5 to 10° above normal. By 7:00 tonight in along our coast, we're still in the mid 70s through 9:00 p.m. through 11:00 p.m.

[00:01:19]When I saw you at 11:00 last night, there were many areas that were still in the mid 70s. So, low to mid 70s for most areas waking up tomorrow morning along our coast with only a few 60s. Inland neighborhoods by 7:00 p.m. we're still in the mid 80s and temperatures will be in the 70s most of tonight. There will be a few spots like Ramona and Alpine that do cool into the 60s, but there are going to be really warm temperatures at night, which means we're not getting that relief in the overnight hours. So, mid 70s to low 80s along our coastline tomorrow, 90s for most of our inland neighborhoods, Escondido, Poway, and El Cajon at 93, 80s in our mountains between about 110 and 113 in our deserts. It's also going to still be very humid, 94 in Santee I do think it's going to be the warmest inland spot. So we have the extreme heat warning that begins at 10:00 a.m. tomorrow. It lasts all the way through Monday. This is going to be a long stretch of heat and it's already hot. Temperatures between 110 and 117° with those really warm nights. Most of the night in the deserts will be spent in the 90s, only cooling to the 80s by the early morning hours.

[00:02:20]Heat advisory for the inland mountains also in effect Wednesday through Monday.

[00:02:25]Our mountain areas will be anywhere from the mid-80s to a few low 100s but getting more in the 90s by the end of the week and then areas like Campo that's where we'll see the triple digits. Our inland neighborhoods mostly in the 90s but a few areas also could get close to 100°. So here's our heat dome that's really not going anywhere.

[00:02:41]Monsoon moisture continues to surge in.

[00:02:43]Tropical storm Alita is leaving that's what brought us the high surf and now hurricane Fausto. That storm is going to be tracking further out towards Hawaii.

[00:02:52]Doesn't look like it's going to be impacting our weather. Temperatures will be hovering in the 70s and 80s along our coast all week long. It is going to be very warm and muggy for everybody going to Comic-Con this week. For the inland neighborhoods temperatures generally in the low to mid-70s low to mid-90s rather but we will see some areas that may get close to 100° that would be areas like Ramona. Again that heat advisory tomorrow through Monday. For the mountains that chance for some showers and thunderstorms does bump up slightly Thursday and Friday as do the temperatures in the mid-90s and we are only cooling to the 70s here by the early morning hours. So really warm nights, very hot days while the deserts temperatures will be closer to 115° Thursday into early next week and only dropping into the mid-upper 80s by the morning.
