Thomas sharply exposes the government's hypocrisy in labeling citizen concerns as xenophobia to hide its own failure to enforce the law. This video is a powerful critique of a state that prioritizes political optics over the safety and economic stability of its people.

Betrayal! Mbalula Smears March & March, Spares Illegal DealersAdded:
Oh man.
You know guys, I don't want to lie. I feel like I'm going to lose my mind reacting to what Fig Balula is going to say.
I feel like I'm going to lose my mind because Figalula just like any politician, he is going to gaslight the people of this country. And this is what the politicians do best, gaslighting South Africans.
Look um we are not against uh our statement is not against um or for much and much um we're not spending time on that.
We're spending time on the diagnosis of what is the challenge before us as a country. We've got the challenge of uh illegal immigrants with >> So the question is why do we have a challenge of illegal foreigners in this country?
Why do we have a challenge of the illegal foreigners in this country?
It is simple. It is because of the ANC.
The presidents of the ANC have destroyed our borders and allowed millions of illegal foreigners to come into this country and invade our country.
This is a problem that the ANC has brought to us. And anybody who believes that the very same that has started this problem for us can participate in a solution in fixing it. It is pure naive.
You are naive. If you think that the very same ANC that has bought us millions of illegal foreigners can participate in a solution in dealing with this issue, you are naive. manifest itself by way of human trafficking, drugs and all of that and it has been with us for quite some time and we have said that this challenge arise because of among others borders that are porous uh people just come in and out of the republic and so on. Hence we have worked very hard over the years to create what is called border management.
>> So Malula wants us to believe that the ANC has worked very hard to control the number of the people that are coming into our country.
But then if the ANC kept our borders closed we wouldn't have this problem to start with.
We wouldn't be here if the ANC had kept our borders closed. But they decided to destroy our borders. And today we have these people in this country. And the very same ANC that has allowed the situation to start. They are saying that no, we have worked very hard throughout the years to ensure that we have the border management to deal with this crisis.
This is nothing but gaslight.
which is hard at work. Uh whilst this protests are visiting us, this work is being implemented. So there is no reaction to that. Whilst this matter is visiting us, the question of labor inspectors was introduced and announced by the president at the state of the nation. It's not a reaction. It's something that has already been implemented. Among other issues that have been explored is the question of how do we deal with the question of uh ensuring that in the context of our laws even small businesses are preserved for South Africans like it happens in other countries you guys have failed to ensure that small businesses are preserved for South Africans.
Today we have the spasa shop business.
It generates over 150 billion rand a year and South Africans have been pushed out of this market and the has allowed the illegal foreigners to operate the spouses that generate over 150 billion rand a year.
It is the fault of the ANC that these businesses that were operated by South Africans are no longer operated by South Africans. It is the ANC that brought us dismiss here in our country. Even spasa shops are owned by foreigners of illegal foreigners.
You go to the rural areas of our country in the >> you done about it >> countryside you get there it is written mua then the person who comes out there is from another country maybe Bangladesh and so on where does he come from and so on but worse off they are undocumented they run businesses they killed all businesses in the local economy I come from the dusty street of Bhutab. That area flourished with a supermarket, small businesses.
When I go to the township now in Bhutabel, all those businesses are owned by foreigners.
>> And you should be ashamed of yourselves.
Me like honestly, you guys should be ashamed of yourselves.
You should be ashamed of yourselves.
You know that some of these people, these Bangladeshes, these Somalis have been selling expired foods and as a result many people have died because of that and your president instead of saying that these people need to get out of the country, Ramaposa said that we are going to give these people a couple of weeks to make sure that they register their businesses. So Ramaposa gave these people a license to kill South Africans.
The ANC president gave these illegal foreigners a license to murder South Africans.
And you guys don't see anything wrong with it. You don't see anything wrong with it. Undocumented, illegal.
And uh when I ask what happened to Tate Vanban and all of that was owning this business, he went under these people their modest operand including their flourishing businesses and how they displayed small businesses in the township. It's a security story that we've been dealing with for years.
The wholesale capacity that they've got is unmatched.
So an old man or an old woman or a family owning a small business in the township disappear in the in the township and then some guy comes and then uh people go there pensioners they take things on debt.
uh the business is not going under, it's flourishing and we even found in the process that they are selling fake things.
We found these stories in Skukun in Limpopo where people have been sold fake things, poison, expired goods and all of that. That is the reality that has faced us. So the role of government and the state is to tighten the laws to protect its citizenry without degenerating to a point where there are protests that are exploited by people with nefarious intentions.
Whoa, whoa, whoa.
The reason why today there are people in the streets protesting is because you guys have failed to protect the citizens.
You have failed to protect the vulnerable citizens of this country.
This is the reason why you see South Africans in the streets today.
And guys, don't you find it a bit disturbing that these people, they know that these illegal foreigners they have allowed into our country are selling poison and there is nothing that they have done about it.
They know that these people, some of them, they are selling fake stuff, fake grandpa, fake medication, fake everything. And as a result, people are getting sick.
People are dying. Children have died after consuming some of the stuff that these people are selling. And the ANC has not done anything about it. And today South Africans are on the streets.
They are protesting because they are sick and tired of this shade. And Figalula is attacking the very same people that are protesting and saying that they have nefarious they have nefarious whatever.
Don't you find it disturbing?
I find it disturbing that the very same people that were supposed to protect South Africans are failing to protect South Africans. And today when South Africans are protecting themselves, they are saying that South Africans have ulterior motives for protecting themselves.
Wow.
Wow.
Wow.
I mean at some point man the NC will have to answer maybe before the international court of justice about what they have done to the people of this country because me I have said it over and over again that these people are treasoners.
what these people have done in this country. They have committed treason against their own people.
I cannot think of myself as the president of the country watching illegal foreigners murdering my own people and doing nothing about it. And today now that the people are protesting I can have the balls to come out to say that the very same people that are protesting today they have ulterior motives.
Wow.
We are not focused on much and much.
We are we are just putting policy before South Africans to say the state the democratic state must intervene h and at the same time in terms of laws but at the same time in terms of protecting the citizens. If that does not happen, anyone can call himself a leader and emerge on a popular front and be and and be funded by people with dubious uh interest to our country to hurt our country.
>> So I find it very strange that you are quick to say that people are being funded by people who have ulterior motives against our country. But at the very same time, you have not done anything to prevent the situation to be where it is today.
You have you have not done a single thing to prevent the situation to be where it is today. But you are quick to say that no, you guys are being funded by the people that have ulterior motives image.
It's not good for South Africa to be projected in the international landscape as a xenophobic people.
We don't care what people say about us.
South Africans don't care what the international community says about them.
We don't care. And you are talking about the image of this country. I'm sorry, but the ANC is the one that has destroyed the image of this country.
The NC with their corruption is the one that has destroyed the image of this country.
Why are today South Africans protesting accused of damaging the image of this country but the ANC with their corruption are not being accused of damaging the image of this country.
The criminal cartels that are operating with impunity under the nose of the government of the ANC are not destroying the image of South Africa. According to Vimal, Sama having the dollars in his madresses and couches and the ports there in Palapala is not destroying the image of South Africa.
But South Africans that are protesting are the ones that are destroying the image of South Africans and we don't want to be seen as a country that is xenophobic. I'm sorry but you are totally out of touch. You have not realized that ordinary South Africans do not care about being called xenophobic.
They don't care about what the international community thinks about them. The only thing that ordinary South Africans are interested in is to protect their own country is to protect their own people since their government has been so inept and failed to protect.
Wow.
You will know most of you who travel abroad. People love this country.
Yes, we've got problems, but we don't want to compare with others. The question of illegal immigration is global. Don't Donald Trump has gone to the to the house and they gave him billions of rents to execute what is called ICE.
people have been chased up and down, arrested in America and all of that and been victimized and so on. Um, so the people that are not supposed to be in the United States when they are deported by the Trump administration, you believe that those people are being victimized.
You cannot even applaud Donald Trump for prioritizing his own people and saying that we are going to unleash eyes on you guys and we are going to make your lives a living hell in the United States. You think that those people are being victimized, the people that are not supposed to be in the United States to start with. This is the very same reason why you believe that the illegal foreigners that are being told to go back to their own countries are being victimized because you think that it is okay for South African taxpayers to be abused and to be forced into paying for the health care, security and shelter of the illegal foreigners. You think that it is okay for South African taxpayers to feed these people when they commit crimes to feed them in jail when they commit crimes in our land. Why do you think that the people that are not even supposed to be in the country are being victimized when they are being told to go back to their own countries? Why do you think that Trump and ICE is victimizing the illegal foreigners in the United States? They are not.
They are not. I cannot believe that you are trying to discredit somebody that is actually doing something about the problem that the people of the United States have been complaining about.
You have black people in the United States that are saying that we have been pushed aside in our own country. The jobs that used to to be preserved for us, we no longer do these jobs because these people that are in the United States illegally. So they are now doing these jobs and for slave wages. They are facing the very same situation that the people of this country are facing.
They have been pushed aside and they are not happy with the fact that most of these people are being pushed in their own communities.
South Africans too, they are not happy with the fact that these illegal foreigners have been pushed into their own communities while you guys are enjoying the luxury behind your high walls. You expect ordinary South Africans to open up their own communities to accommodate the people that they do not even know where they come from. What is their motives of being here and why are they doing what they are doing?
You are no different from the Democrats in the United States that are labeling everybody that says anything about the problem of the illegal immigrants as hateful and as racist. You are no different from the Democrats in the United States. You are no different.
We don't want to degenerate to that level. We want money. You don't want to degenerate. I'm sorry, but the ANC it is a degenerate criminal organization.
You are the secretary general of a degenerate criminal organization.
You think that you are the secretary general of a political party. The ANC is not a political party. Anybody who believes that the NC is a political party is naive at best. The NC is not a political party.
You are not a secretary general of a political party and you are the last person to speak about degenerates. You have degenerated this country. The ANC has turned this country into a [ __ ] hole country. This is what you guys have done.
You have stripped the people of this country of their dignity. And I find it strange again that when you speak about the South Africans that have been pushed aside from operating the spasa shops, you are so you are not saying anything about the people that have been murdered by these people for refusing to close their spa shops. You are not saying anything about a lady that has been killed in Johannesburg for operating her pharmacy in a line that has many illegal foreigner shops. They have murdered that lady because she refused to close her farmers. They are kidnapping South Africans for refusing to close their spasa shops. The people of this country have been stripped away of their dignity because of what the ANC has allowed.
Then you have the audacity to speak about the degeneracies. You have degenerated this country into being a [ __ ] hole country. This is what you guys have done. When you look into this country without the private sector, South Africa is a failed state.
The only thing that is keeping on the lies in this country, it is a private sector. Without private sector, South Africa is no different from these failed states and it is because of the ANC and laws that protect us. And we illustrate in our statement what are those laws that we need to implement. We are not concerned about much and much.
>> You are concerned about much and much.
>> They are raising an important issue that is um uh in the public domain that is well known to all of us. I was a minister of police. If I were to take a practical an example and you failed into every position you held in government.
You failed. You were ministers of different portfolios and you failed on every single one of those portfolios.
What have you done as the minister of police?
>> We were working here around the city center. A man Mashaba was a a mayor for a few days before the DA ejected him. We went here. Buildings are full of people who are undocumented here. So if you were to walk in the streets here and somebody pickpocket you and we chase that person and you get into that building, we will never know who did this crime. They are undocumented, unregistered and it's a national security threat.
Stop telling us things that we know. We know that it is a national security threat. This is the reason why we are bashing you so hard today because the ANC has been in charge of this country for the past 32 years and you have allowed illegal foreigners to get into our country and hijack the buildings in the middle of the city and some of those buildings have been turned into brothel and South African children have been abducted have been introduced into those drugs by the very same people that are hijacking the buildings and they are being sold into prostitution. It is happening today.
It is happening today.
The ANC government that has been in charge of this country for the past 32 years, they have not done a single thing with the fact that our country has been invaded by the people that are hijacking the buildings in the middle of the cities and turning those buildings into brothel. South African young girls have been abducted, have been introduced into drugs and they have been sold into prostitution by the very same people and the ANC government has not done a single thing.
They have not done a single thing.
So don't tell us things that we know.
The fact that this thing is still happens today 32 years after the ANC has been run in this country. It is an indictment on what you guys are.
It is an indictment on what the ANC government has done to this country because you can say whatever that you want to say. It would never have happened under about it.
the illegal foreigners hijacking the buildings and abducting South African children, introducing them to drugs and selling them to prostitution in the middle of the city. It would never have happened under a parad but it is now happening under the ANC.
It is happening under the ANC. So government uh must not allow uh this anarchy in our country to engulf us as though we don't have a state. We must put down the state not boots and all of that but through the laws and they must be enforced.
Now all the other issues we will be able to deal with them because we cannot afford our country to be characterized as a country that hates Africans.
>> Figalula you are worried about people that are protesting in the streets when and at the same time you are admitting that there are people that are hijacking the buildings in the middle of the cities and turning those buildings into bas. This is something that you are admitting yourselves that there are people in places like Hilbo, there are people that are selling drugs in places like Uville and there is absolutely nothing that you guys have done today.
We know that the AMC government is contemplating on deploying the march deploying the South African National Defense Force to deal with the marchers and not do a single thing to the people that are selling the drugs in the in the middle of our cities.
You guys, there are rumors that you are contemplating on deploying the South African National Defense Force to deal with the people that are protesting, but you have not deployed the South African National Defense Force to deal with the people that are selling the drugs. And what is worse is that you guys, you know exactly where these people are.
You know where these people are. You know exactly what these people are doing. But you are saying nothing about it. You are only worried about South Africans that are protesting because the international community is saying that South Africans are xenophobic. This is the only thing that you are worried about. Freula, wake up. You are worried about wrong things.
You are worried about wrong things.
If I was the president of this country, I wouldn't give a damn about people saying that we are xenophobic in this country. I would give a damn about the fact that there are people that are selling the drugs in the middle of the cities of this country and we know exactly where these people are. I would have deployed the South African National Defense Force to deal with these people and do whatever that is necessary to get rid of these people. And if people have to die, then people have to die.
This is what I would have done if I was the president of the country.
But no, is only worried about the marchers. Only worried about the marchers. Oh man, the marchers are making us look bad to the international community. This is the only thing you are worried about.
You are worried about them.
You admit that the people have been pushed aside. You admit that these people are selling poison to your own people. These people are selling poison to black people of this country.
You are admitting that.
But you are saying nothing about the action that is going to be taken against these people that are selling poison to South Africans. But you are talking about South Africans that are protesting. Wake up and smell the coffee.
Wake up and smell the coffee.
And that is xenophobic. Just by looking at some girl in his color and being very black, then you decide that no long I you know there there is a stage in this country where police were going in the streets and look at people. Do you remember that >> when there was a what is that that place of home affairs >> man? You know South African journalist men are embarrassing. I don't want to lie. South African journalist are nothing but bunch of idiots. And this is the reason why Julas Malma treats the people like fatuks.
You know Julas Mama is treating these people like those fatuks where people are selling the scopes. You go to Johannesburg and you go to these people that are selling the scope. You see how they treat those fuks. The politicians in this country they are treating those journalist like the fads like the scope labs. They belong nowhere but into the skies.
The South African journalist Lindell >> Lindell where people were taken in Lindella by buses and then they look at your face if you can't speak properly you speak Vanda or you speak Tonga they take you to Lindella. Hey man, I'm from Vanda and so on and and all of that and just the tribalistic thing and hurting ourselves in the process. People are protesting protests are part of us. These are our people.
What have Shangans done to us? Uh in this protest you hear people say now you want us to keep quiet in the name that we are we are protesting. No that can't be right. We can't allow infested tribalism that undermines our unity h to basically escalate in our country like that. Yes people have got a right to protest.
government in terms of its responsibility must cushion its citizens and all of that. I see the president of Rwanda the other day said that I don't understand he mentioned countries what do they want here because there's no water in Rwanda said by the head of state and then I've seen Ghana I've been to Ghana I've seen small businesses been closed down particularly from Nigerians because they are just from next door you know and then they close them down and they say that no small businesses here in Ghana are for Ghanians and so on. So we must never allow ourselves to be characterized as xenophobic by failure to enforce our laws.
Is Fnala trying to insinuate that there was something wrong with the people in Ghana for saying that the small businesses must be preserved for Ghana?
Is there something wrong there?
Is there something wrong with the people from Ghana saying that we are not going to allow you guys to operate these small businesses? These small businesses must be operated solely from by people from Ghana. Is there something wrong there?
Because I think the last time I checked this is what South Africans are saying that these small businesses they must be operated by South Africans and only South Africans.
Is there something wrong with what these people are saying?
Are these people xenophobic for saying that no Nigerians cannot operate some of these businesses because these businesses they they must be operated by xenop by by by by by by by by people from Ghana. I mean you go to Zimbabwe told us a couple of weeks ago that these small businesses in Zimbabwe you can never come from where you are coming from and operate in some of these small businesses in Zimbabwe. Mangawa told us that you can never be a vendor. You can never be a a hair stylist in Zimbabwe.
You can never operate a shop in Zimbabwe if you come from any other country.
Mangua their biggest friend. He did say that these jobs are only preserved for Zimbabweans.
Is Mangawaga xenophobic for saying that?
Because it seems like there's a problem with these politicians from South Africa for when South Africans say what these people are saying. These people throughout Africa, they are preserving what they can preserve for their own people and they are not apologetic about it. But no, then you have South African politicians that believe that South African taxpayers must pay for these people to enjoy whatever that they are enjoying.
And at the same time, South Africans must fight for job opportunities with these people. They must. It is nothing wrong with these people operating the small businesses that are supposed to be operated only by South Africans. What is wrong with South African politicians?
This is something that I'm trying to understand. What is wrong with South African politicians?
>> And be clear, we have a problem in South Africa of illegal undocumented people.
>> That is the problem that was brought to us by the ANC. Please finish your sentence >> who come to our country and that is a big risk of national security but at the same time there is a danger that this situation can degenerate. Of course, this is the reason why people have begged you to act before because nobody in this country actually wants this situation to get out of control. And this is what we have been saying over and over and over and over again that please men please do something about this situation because people are getting impatient and you don't want to test the patience of the people. You don't want to test the patience of the people. This is the reason why South Africans have been begging you for years that guys please do something about this situation of undocumented foreign nationals in this country because at some point it is going to get out of hand and the people of this country they are not violent people. South Africans have been very resilient for a very long time. The people of this country they are not violent. We are not violent people as South Africans. Please we are begging you before the situation gets out of control. This is the reason why even today we are saying that please men get these people out because we don't want the situation to get out of control. Nobody in this country is actually advocating for the situation to get out of control. Figarula is trying to insinuate that much and much h are inciting violence. The South African politicians they are trying to insinuate that much and March is inciting violence but nobody there is absolutely nobody that is inciting violence. People of this country, they don't want things to get out of control. We don't want our country to be full of anarchy, people dying everywhere, police all over the place, South African National Defense Force, the tires burning. This is the situation that we don't want as the people of this country. We don't want people to die in this country. How many times must we make it clear that government please act, please enforce our immigration, our immigration laws.
Please make sure that our borders are secure so that not every Tom, Dick, and Harry can get into our country and do as they please. Please hold these people accountable that are committing crimes in our country. Please do something about the situation before the situation gets out of hand because if you keep on saying that South Africans are xenophobic and do nothing about this situation, it's going to get out of hand. And this is something that we don't want. Nobody wants this situation to get out of hand. We don't want people to die.
We don't want people to die.
But it is clear that the South African government clearly wants people to die because they are flatly refusing to enforce our immigration laws. You guys are flatly refusing to ensure that our borders are secure. You are flatly refusing to do something about the buildings that have been hijacked. You allow criminal organizations like South African Human Rights Commission to say that there's absolutely nothing wrong with the people that are hijacking the buildings. Our hospitals are not overburdened by the illegal foreigners.
You think it is okay for that organization that is bunch of foreigners to say that about us. And we know that it is wrong.
Nobody wants violence in this country.
We don't want violence in this country and I think we should make it very clear that we don't want violence in this country. We don't want people to die in this country. We are simply begging our government to do what is right by its people.
This is what we are saying and become a state of lawlessness and people just get funded. You can see some of them they are well funed these NOS's and so on and the people that lead them but the minute you touch on them you touch the wrong uh because people are afraid to tell the principle and the truth because of elections South Africans are not xenophobic they don't >> saying >> don't hate other Africans >> we've been saying that we don't hate other Africans and we hate We hate this narrative that has been purported by the politicians and the mainstream media that South Africans hate the foreigners. We do not hate the foreigners in this country. It is impossible for us to hate the foreigners in this country because we are without a doubt one of the most diverse countries in the world. We have people from all walks of lives living peacefully in this country. We are not xenophobic. We are not hateful as the people of this country. We are simply begging for our country to be respected >> that we challenge and we agree with we've got the problem of undocumented people here and they are not just African even though they are in majority in Africa. There's even white undocumented people here they are sophisticated because of the color of their skin. So some of them own shops hide park and everywhere else but they don't have documentation. And what have you done about it as the ANC? This is the what we are saying. What have you done about the situation?
What have you done about the situation?
This is what we are asking man. Oh man, please man just listen to South Africans for once.
Just listen to South Africans for once.
What have you done about it? What have you done? Don't sit there and mumble and talk things that we already know. Don't tell us things that we already know.
Please tell us what is it exactly that you have done about this situation that has been developing throughout the years. You have ignored the people of this country and this is the reason why today the situation might actually get out of hand and it is unfortunate because this is something that majority of the people in this country do not want. We do not want things to get out of control. We want our country to be governable. We don't want our country to be ungovernable. This is something that we do not want as the people of this country. We are simply saying that as the government just listen to the people and do what is right by the people of this country. Just do what is right by the people of this country. Stop antagonizing the people of this country.
Stop trying to lecture the people of this country about the unity of Africa.
Stop trying to ignore what South Africans are complaining about. For once, please, for once, in the past 32 years, please just listen to the people of this country and what the people are saying.
This is what we are saying.
Why is it so hard for these people to understand what South Africans are saying? Are these people stupid?
Are these people stupid? Guys, I don't know. I think that many of these people in government, they are stupid. This is what I think. But maybe these are just my thoughts. I don't know about you guys. Please think comment section.
