Levan has to bring his daughter Mary to stay with his former fellow soldier Gunny after the thugs find out who he is and threaten him. He finds Jimmy and gets him to lead him to the compound where Jinny is being kept. Levan kills Jimmy and proceeds to mow down every last criminal in his path, including a biker gang and their leader. Levan finds Jinny, kills the client, then kills Viper while Jinny kills Artemis. Levan kills the last few goons before escaping with Jinny. Simon is told by his brother to leave Levan alone, and that nobody in the organization is going to help him in his crusade for revenge. So, Simon decides to work alone and get back at Levan for killing his sons. Levan returns Jinny home to her family before going to reunite with Mary and Gunny.
The organization is run by the Bratva, led by Simon Kartchenko. After Levon kills his brother, high-ranking captain Wolo, Simon sends his sons, Danya and Vanko, after Levon. Levon infiltrates the organization by pretending to be a dealer to get close to Demi, who runs the trafficking part of the organization. Jenny's captors, Viper and Artemis, tried to sell her to a client, but Jenny bites the man's cheek off and is ordered killed until the client changes his mind and wants to try again with her. Meanwhile, Levon is caught by Danya and Vanko, but he kills them, which makes things personal between him and Simon. Levon Cade is a former Green Beret who now works as the leader of a construction team. He is close with the Garcia family that runs the company.
When their teenage daughter, Jenny, is kidnapped by Russian traffickers, Levon takes matters into his own hands to get her back. Levon brings Jenny back to her house where she has an emotional reunion with her entire family. Joe and Carla tearfully thank Levon for saving her. He then goes to Gunny's home to see Mary again. As he joins them for breakfast, Gunny tells Levon he is finally home.
Levon hears Jenny's voice and finds her room. He shoots Broward dead and goes after Viper while Jenny locks her legs around Artemis's neck. Levon beats the [ __ ] out of Viper and destroys his neck using his elbow while Jenny squeezes on Artemis's neck until it snaps. Levon frees her, but Karp and two other goons are still outside. Vontress and Detwiler also show up, but Karp thinks they are regular cops and shoots them to hell before blowing them up in their cruiser.
Levon uses his resources to kill Karp and the other goons before finding a motorcycle and escaping with Jenny.
Simon witnesses them leaving and calls his brother, Yuri Merab Ninidze, who tells Simon that the devil got what he came for and to leave him alone because nobody in the organization will help him in his crusade for revenge. Simon decides to work independently and screams to the sky in rage. Demmy guides Levon to the compound's location. He forces Demmy out at gunpoint, where Demmy says that he knows what he does is wrong, but someone else would be doing the job if not for him. Levon kicks him into a creek and shoots him dead before entering the compound. Just as Broward is brought by Artemis and Viper to see Ginny, and prepares to violate her, the compound is shaken up by Levon throwing a grenade. Levon proceeds to slaughter the Brotf goons, but Dutch and his biker gang head over to deal with Levon as well. After Levon kills the rest of the bikers, he and Dutch have a knife duel.
Levon kills Dutch, but honors him respectfully. Simon goes to Demmy's nightclub with his trigger-happy henchman Karp, Max Krows, who gleefully fires a gun into the club to the horror of the other patrons. Simon goes to tell Demmy who Levon really is, and that he is coming for him. After Simon leaves, Levon indeed shows up and shoots Demmy through the hand, so he can't use his gun. He then forces Demmy to join him and show him where the compound is.
Artemis and Viper are instructed by Deeny to kill Ginny, since her attacking Broward lost them business. Ginny manages to cause the villains' car to crash in the woods, and she is able to cut her hands and feet free to run and escape. She runs until she sees a cop car, and unfortunately, the cops are Von Trask and Detweiler.
They bring Ginny back to the traffickers' compound, where Viper and Artemis prepare to finish the job, until Broward calls them and wants to give Ginny a second chance. Except he wants her to stay dirty and awake. Doctor Roth's home is attacked by the thugs after the organization learns who Levon really is. Levon learns that Roth didn't show up to pick Mary up from school. He goes to the school and quickly figures that something is wrong. He picks Mary up and goes back to the house, which is on fire. Levon rescues Roth from the flames before firefighters and medics arrive. Roth blames Levon for the violence that follows him, but Mary reminds him that Levon saved his life.
Levon then takes Mary to stay with Gunny and his wife for safety. The brothers haul Levon into their van and try to tie him up and torture him for killing their uncle. Levon begins a fight with them leading to them getting thrown all around the van. In the struggle for the gun, the driver gets his brains blown up before Levon shoots and kills Donny and Vanya. He escapes their van and pushes it into the river. Simon later discovers the bodies of his sons at the morgue and declares that their feud with Levon is now personal. Levon meets Demi through Dutch while still making them think that he is a legit dealer. When Levon tries to infiltrate their biker bar, Artemis catches him through surveillance cams and orders the goons to go after him.
Levon steals a bike and rides into the woods. After a brief chase, Levon crashes against a police cruiser.
Unfortunately, the two cops, Sergeant Von Trask (Mookie Zubis) and Deputy Detweiler (Alex Brock) are on the criminals' payroll. Donny and Vanko show up to get Levon and pay the cops to walk away. Artemis and Viper bring Jenny to meet with their client, Mr. Broward (Kenneth Collard). He prepares to rape her while unconscious, but she turns out to be awake and bites a huge chunk of his cheek off, which pisses him off. In order to find Demi, Levon meets with a local drug lord, Dutch (Chidi Ajufo), to pretend he is a dealer looking to sell his product. Dutch brings his goons out to deal with Levon, but he quickly mops the floor with them before returning to his business with Dutch. He recognizes Levon is a former soldier like him, so they develop a mutual respect for one another.
Dutch gives Levon instructions to meet with Artemis and her associate Dougie (Kokie Falco) so they can begin their business. Levon later infiltrates Wolo's home after witnessing him striking his wife in the face. Levon knocks Wolo out and ties him to a chair that is tied to a rope while hanging over a pool, threatening to cut the rope if Wolo gets too loud. Levon interrogates Wolo over Jenny's whereabouts. Wolo curses in Russian alluding to someone named Demi and how it's their fault that this is happening. Levon cuts the rope and lets Wolo drown in his pool. Wolo is later found by his brother, Simon Kartchenko, Andrei Kaminsky, the head of the organization. Simon sends his sons, Danila and Vanko, Greg Kolpakchi and Pyotr Witkowski, to go after Levon.
Levon begins his investigation into Jenny's whereabouts by checking out the club she went to. He ends up finding one thug in connection with the other criminals, Johnny, David Witz, a bartender working at the club. Levon busts into his apartment and waterboards Johnny for information. Two of Johnny's buddies show up at the apartment and hear Johnny calling for help. Levon uses Johnny as a human shield as the two open fire, but Levon shoots them dead, too, before taking the money. The three corpses are later found by high-ranking Brodva captain, Wolo Kalisnyk, Jason Statham, who thinks someone is targeting their organization. On Monday morning, Levon is met by Jenny's parents, Joe, Michael Peña, and Carla, Noemi Gonzalez.
They tell Levon that Jenny has been missing since Friday night, and that they feel the cops will not help them.
Joe knows that Levon is a former Green Beret, and that he knows how to track down bad guys. Levon says that part of his life is over now. He later goes to visit his fellow former soldier, Gunny LeFerty, David Harbour, who was left blinded during a mission, but he is thankful to Levon for saving his life.
Levon talks to Gunny about the dilemma with Jenny. Levon later goes to the Garcia home again to speak to Joe, telling him that they are his family, and implying he will get Jenny back.
Jenny goes out to a club at night with some friends. They are being watched by a criminal couple, Viper, Emmet J.
Scanlan, and Artemis, Eve Morrow, who are looking for a girl to bring to their client. They spot Jenny and catch her after she tries to help one of her drunk friends. They put a glue trap over her mouth and drag her away into a van.
Levon is a single father to Meredith, or Mary, Ila G, who lives with his grandfather, Dr. Roth, Richard Heap.
Roth hates Levon due to the belief that he got his daughter, Levon's wife, killed, but Levon tells his lawyers that she committed suicide when they were serving overseas. The lawyers say that Roth has enough money to pay big-time lawyers to bleed Levon dry and keep him away from Mary. But, Levon has his own resources and is prepared to keep fighting for his daughter. During work, he spots some thugs accosting one of his men. After politely telling them to leave, the thugs continue to beat on the man, leaving Levon to throw a bucket of nails at them before proceeding to beat on them, too. More thugs show up, but Levon manages to defend himself and get them to back off. When the young man asks Levon how he did that, Levon simply tells him to get back to work. The Garcia's teenage daughter, Jenny Ariana Rivas, saw everything, but will not say anything. And she just asks Levon to have her back, which he promises. A Working Man. The film opens at a construction site where Levon Cade, Jason Statham, is leading his team before they get started on their work.
Levon has a close relationship with the Garcia family that runs the construction company, considering them as his own family. Before we start the next movie, grab something to drink and prepare yourself, because this is one of Jason Statham's craziest stories and one of his best action movies ever. Verona and her partner Matt Wiley learn that Derek operates data mining companies through the call centers to get info and steal from vulnerable people. They believe that Clay is targeting Jessica since the stolen money was used to fund her campaign. Clay infiltrates a party at Jessica's mansion. After tearing through more mercenaries, he finds Derek and Jessica after Derek killed FBI Deputy Director Prig once he learned that Derek used the stolen money to get his mom elected. After a standoff between Verona and Wiley, plus Clay, Clay shoots and kills Derek when he attempts to execute Jessica. Clay escapes, and Verona lets him go, seeing as how her mother has been avenged. Clay first destroys the call center that targeted Eloise before killing the head of the center, Mickey Garnett, plus his goons. This draws the attention of Garnett's boss, Derek Danforth, son of President Jessica Danforth. Danforth's head of security, Wallace Westwild, does whatever he can to keep Clay away from them, even contacting the CIA to get the Beekeepers to send one of their own to deal with him. After Clay kills that Beekeeper by setting her on fire, the Beekeepers choose to remain neutral as the situation unfolds. Adam Clay is a former Beekeeper, a classified group of agents who rectify corrupt acts around the world. Clay's friend and neighbor, a teacher named Eloise Parker, becomes a victim of a phishing scam and has all of her money stolen, leading to her committing suicide. Clay [snorts] takes it upon himself to get back at those who drove Eloise to take her own life, while her daughter, FBI agent Verona Parker, launches her own investigation. Clay makes his way into Jessica and Derek's room as she gets ready to confess to Derek's crimes. Verona and Wylie also enter, trying to stop Clay from killing Jessica. When Derek refuses to stand down, he prepares to execute his mother, but Clay fires a shot into Derek's head first before jumping out the window. The Secret Service come to get Jessica out while she wails at the sight of Derek's corpse. Verona almost considers bringing Clay in, but then allows him to escape, seeing as how justice for her mother and other victims has been served. As the other agents try to find Clay, he gets away by finding hidden scuba gear and swimming away. After Clay disappears, a single bee flies overhead. The FBI and other people gather at the mansion as a party goes on. Clay sneaks in posing as Secret Service before entering the mansion. Wallace and Derek get ready with another team of mercs, plus a man, Lazarus Taylor James, who claims to have killed a Beekeeper at the cost of his leg. While this goes on, Derek and Jessica sit in a room with Prig, who asks them about UDG. As it turns out, Derek had funded all of Jessica's campaign with the stolen money, and the revelation brings her guilt. Verona and Wylie, plus Lazarus, catch Clay outside, but he creates a distraction by setting off a bomb. Clay fights off more goons as he makes his way inside the mansion.
When Prig learns the truth about Derek, he kills Prig as they wait for Clay to show up. Clay and Lazarus engage in a brutal fight before Clay stabs him to death. After Wallace learns that Clay got away again, he suggests to Derek that he stay with his mother for protection since she has Secret Service taking care of her. Derek goes to Jessica's beachside mansion. Meanwhile, Verona and Wylie debrief with Prig coming to the conclusion that Clay is going after Jessica as a Queen Slayer since it is believed that Jessica bankrolled her own campaign funding using stolen money. Prig gives them a blank check to do whatever it takes to stop Clay. An FBI team gathers after receiving funding from Deputy Director Prig, Don Gillette, to head to the Nine Points building but Wallace's team is already there. The head of the mercenary team, Pettis, Michael Epp, orders the call center employees to evacuate in anticipation of Clay's arrival. He beats up the FBI guys before infiltrating the call center and fighting Pettis's guys and then knocking [clears throat] out Pettis himself after a fight. After killing a bunch of guys in an elevator, Clay is pursued by Verona and Wylie and their guys. Clay interrogates the manager of the center by jamming staples into his hands until he gives up Derek's identity. Verona tries to talk Clay out of his vendetta but he is adamant in finishing the job. Verona and Wylie then find evidence of Derek being the ringleader after Clay leaves. Wallace gathers a team of special forces guys and explains to them the threat that the Beekeepers pose as they are called in to rectify corrupt acts around the world.
He warns them what Clay may be up to and dispatches them to go after him should he come closer to their operations. Sure enough, Clay is seen using Anise Sette's finger to enter a Beekeeper base and find the address for Nine Points Center where Derek operates his call centers.
He gears up and heads out to take care of them. Clay is at a gas station when he is found by his current replacement Beekeeper, Anise Sette Landers, Megan Lee. She attempts to to her car into Clay before firing her gun at him. After he fights back, Anisette gets out a huge machine gun and unloads it Clay, but misses every shot. He throws a jar of honey at her and then sets her on fire, killing her and then cutting off her index finger and keeping it. Janet then informs Wallace of Anisette's death and the Beekeepers choose to remain neutral as the situation unfolds. Meanwhile, Verona and Wylie continue their investigation on the recent events and Verona starts to piece together Clay's involvement. Derek gets the company's chief of security, Wallace Westwild Jeremy Irons, to find out who Clay is.
After learning he is a former Beekeeper, Wallace realizes they are in danger and tells Derek he just pissed off the wrong type of guy. Wallace contacts Derek's mother, Potus Jessica Danforth Gemma Redgrave, who begs Wallace to protect her son. He then calls CIA director Janet Howard, Minnie Driver, over Clay's involvement and with her help they contact the Beekeepers themselves to put out a bounty on Clay.
Verona joins her partner Matt Wylie, Bobby Naderi, to investigate the arson while Garnett contacts his boss, Derek Danforth of Josh Hutcherson of Danforth Enterprises, a security company that runs the data mining scheme that UDG worked for, to inform him of what Clay did. Derek has Garnett and a team of his goons to go out to Eloise's home to track Clay down. They find him and follow him into his garage, but Clay gets the drop on them and kills the first three goons before finding Garnett, severing his fingers with a bandsaw, and then throwing him into the back of a pickup truck. Clay drives the truck to a bridge and straps Garnett to the wheel of another truck while he is on the phone with Derek, who overhears everything as Clay sends the truck with Garnett into the river. Clay then promises to go after Derek next. Clay contacts his old organization, the Beekeepers, to get info on the people who scammed Eloise. He is directed to the call center for UDG where he beats up two guards outside after they find him carrying two gas containers.
Clay arrives at the call center and viciously beats the goons senseless to convince the other scammers that he is not playing around, which gets them to evacuate. Garnett shows up and tries to have security deal with Clay, but he wipes the floor with them before dousing the place with gas and then linking a bomb to blow up the call center the next time someone responds to one of their scam acts.
This happens not seconds later and the place is blown to bits. Clay later goes to Eloise's house after she invited him over for dinner and he brings her a jar of honey. He finds the door open and enters to investigate with a knife before Eloise's daughter, FBI agent Verona Parker, Amy Raver Lampman, arrives. Both of them finding Eloise dead with a gunshot wound to her head and a loaded pistol and discharged bullet on the floor. Believing Clay murdered her mother, Verona has him arrested, but it is later concluded that Eloise tragically committed suicide.
Verona apologizes to Clay and learns that he was close with her mother before her death. Eloise goes on her computer, which is hit by a virus warning. She calls the number on the phone, which links her to a call center operated by a phishing scam operation called United Data Group. The head of the center, Mickey Garnett, David Witts, gathers his team of goons to listen in as he talks to Eloise.
He tricks her into installing a supposed antivirus software, which links to all of her accounts worth over $2 million from charity she runs and they proceed to drain all of those accounts.
Eloise realizes too late what has happened and is left in despair while the scammers gleefully celebrate their deception.
The Beekeeper.
The film opens as a man named Adam Clay, Jason Statham, tends to the bees that he keeps in his place of living. He rents a space in a garage owned by a retired school teacher named Eloise Parker, Felicia Rashad. While they both live alone, the two are friendly with one another and Clay acknowledges Eloise as the only person who ever really took care of him. We just finished one of Jason Statham's most iconic action films, but the action doesn't stop here because the next movie is even crazier, more dangerous, and full of shocking moments. Let's get into it. Jesse is given a bag from the cashier saying it is from a friend that briefly stopped by. As she opens it, we see Mason on the street. Jesse finds a chest piece in the bag and realizes it is Mason's message to let her know he's okay. Jesse looks outside, but Mason has already disappeared content in the knowledge she will be safe. 3 months later in Spain, Jesse has settled into a new life.
Roberta and MI6 are watching over her knowing Mason will show up one day. They are about to move on for the day when they see the camera that is in the cafe Jesse is in tilt up. Several days later, Manafort is at his mansion watching the news as Roberta has to deal with the fallout of the mess he created. As he makes a drink, he looks outside and notices his two guards are dead quickly understanding the implications of that.
Manafort quickly consumes his drink. He turns around and sees Mason. Manafort admonishes Mason calling him his golden boy who broke the rules by growing a conscience. Mason tells him that the man he was supposed to kill was innocent.
Manafort attempts to bring Mason back into the fold now that he has full autonomy to run his black kite operatives however he wants to for the good of the country. Mason tells Manafort that way of thinking was the reason he didn't pull the trigger a decade before and why he has to now.
Mason shoots Manafort dead. Having gotten to the location, Mason tells her to get on the boat, but Jesse doesn't want to leave him behind seeing as he is all she has left. Mason tries to comfort her and tells her it is for the best.
Suddenly, gunshots ring out near them.
Workman has found them. Mason drops her down to the boat and it races off with her safe. Mason and Workman trade shots until their guns run empty. Mason tries one last time to reach Workman asking if he knows why he was sent to kill them.
Workman replies that it doesn't matter.
Workman tries to attack Mason with a knife while Mason takes a long chain and attaches a big piece of pipe. Swinging it, he smacks Workman hard in the head, breaking his neck and killing him.
Manafort, made aware of Mason's location, sends a team of killers to the club. Roberta, also aware, sends her own team. When she realizes her team is minutes away while Manafort's are already in the building, she now has definitive proof of a rogue operation against Mason. Kamal gives Mason a new identity and money for Jesse with a boat location that will be leaving in 30 minutes. Jesse doesn't want to go without him, but Mason tells her this is the only way to keep her safe as men are still after him. Manafort's killers storm the club. Mason sees them and begins to take them out one by one.
However, one still grabs Jesse and runs out of the club with her. With help from Arthur, who is patched into the cameras, Mason gives chase and after dodging Roberta's team, rescues Jesse and they race off to the boat. With little options left to him, Mason and Jesse travel to a nightclub which Kamal, a trafficker, owns. After beating up the outside bouncers, he is granted access and an audience. Mason tells Kamal that he will provide safe passage for Jesse with a new identity and funds to start over. Kamal says he has no leverage to demand anything from him. Mason counters that Kamal was allowed free reign for years, but now that Manafort is back in the shadows, there is nothing stopping him from being killed as another loose end. Convinced, Kamal tells Mason to wait as he makes preparations. Workman, who had been tracking them, finds the house as they are about to leave. Mason and Workman have a drag out fight in the library. As Workman holds a knife to Mason, Jesse points a gun at him and begs him to stop, trying to speak to his dormant humanity. Ultimately unmoved, Workman snatches the gun from her and tries to kill them both. Mason tackles him and Jesse and he run to Arthur's car and race off as Workman fires at them.
Stopping in town, Arthur gives Mason a phone to call him for an emergency.
Mason tells Jesse they need to watch how they walk to make sure the cameras don't see them. Still, a camera inside a car captures them. Manafort deletes the image from Thea and contacts Workman with their location. However, Roberta and Madison realize that Thea has been compromised and lays a trap. The next time Manafort tries to access, he gets locked out. Madison and Roberta realize that Manafort is involved in what is going on, but Roberta says she will have to deal with him later. Their primary concern is bringing Mason in alive.
Mason and Jesse arrive at an isolated house in the woods, the home of Mason's old friend and comrade, Arthur Booth, Daniel Mays. Mason needs to get passage for Jesse as she is an innocent in the middle of his mess. Jesse looks around and finds several bottles of pills.
Mason learns that Arthur had switched his photo with a random common man to keep the government away from him, but Manafort had replaced it with the file of a terrorist and thus sent that innocent military squad at the lighthouse to their doom. Mason tries to have Arthur help him with Jesse, but Arthur tells him he can't. Jesse comes back and reveals the reason for his reluctance. He is terminally ill with cancer. Arthur has the same medicines as her mother did when she was dying. Mason asks if this is true. Arthur sadly admits it, saying his doctors know he may have one more year left. Mason and Jesse find a work area and switch cars.
Workman, bruised and bloody, walks down a road when a concerned woman stops her car. However, a cop stops behind her as well and Workman kills the officer. He then steps next to the woman's window and presumably kills her off-screen and steals her car as she was a witness to the murder.
Realizing this is becoming a huge mess, Roberta speaks with one of her co-workers and the co-worker, Madison, notes that Mason's picture doesn't match the one the alert triggered. Madison cracks the coding on the file and finds out Mason's real file of being a decorated black ops soldier that went rogue after refusing to kill an Iranian scientist who defected. Mason faked his death and has been on the run ever since. As Mason is being patched up, the farmer's son comes in looking guilt-ridden.
Mason asks him if he did something and the boy says he called the police.
The police soon show up, and Roberta patches in telling them not to intervene.
As the farmer tries to go outside, he is shot dead by a sniper. The sniper is Workman, mistaking him for Mason. As Roberta and her team hear that, they try to contact Workman only to see he turned off his communications and has gone rogue. Mason and Jesse leave through a side door, and Mason disables all the police officers without killing them and steals one of their cars. Workman gives chase, and Mason eventually causes his car to flip over. Back at MI6 and realizing the entire team has been killed, Roberta is shocked to her core, wondering who the hell Mason really is.
Having made it to the mainland, Mason and Jesse arrive at a farmhouse. After showing her the correct way to hold an assault rifle they took from one of the men on the island, Mason goes inside only to be stopped by the owner with a shotgun. Jesse, however, gets the drop on the man and asks him nicely to drop the gun. Knowing that Mason is wounded, Jesse asks for the man's help. As Roberta and her team try to find Mason, they intercept a police call from the farmhouse. Roberta dispatches an operative, Workman Brian Viger, to bring Mason in. However, Workman is one of Manafort's men. From his home office, Manafort contacts Workman and issues override orders. Mason is to be killed.
When Workman asks about Jesse, Manafort coldly replies, "She is to be killed as well." Mason returns that night with the medicine, but hears a boat in the distance. Telling Jesse to hide in the bathroom, he forms a plan. A six-man kill squad touches down on the beach.
Flipping a switch, a net is unleashed, catching one man and dragging him into the water, presumably drowning him.
Mason then turns on lights, blinding the men and making their night vision useless. He then drops a large boulder object on another. For a third, he smashes a lantern on his body and shoots him with a flare gun, burning the man alive. The fourth, he stabs in the neck and then pushes him off the cliff. As Mason fights the men, another one finds his house where Jack attacks him, causing the soldier to shoot him dead.
The soldier finds Jesse in the bathroom and drags her out to the beach. Mason kills the fifth man in the boat house, impaling him on a hook and taking his gun. As he sees Jesse being dragged to a boat, he shoots the final man dead.
After grabbing supplies and seeing his dog has been killed, Mason makes a call to a friend saying he is on the run with baggage and needs help. Mason and Jesse leave the island. Mason tells Jesse that she can go when she finally heals up.
Resigned to her situation, she tries to make the best of it. Getting into her own routine, she begins to spend time with Mason's dog, which she names Jack, a name he likes, and shows herself to be a formidable chess player. However, Mason realizes that her wound will not fully heal without proper medicine. So, he travels to the mainland to visit a pharmacy. A former operative, Mason is careful to avoid all cameras, but inadvertently is caught on a cell phone camera, whose footage is fed into the Thea program, flagging him as a violent terrorist. Roberta, in her new command center, sees the alert and dispatches a kill squad. Manafort, from his home, sees the same alert and winces, knowing what has potentially been uncovered. The next day, Jesse wakes up with a bruised ankle that is infected. Mason tells her she'll have to stay for a few days. When Jesse asks about her uncle, Mason has to tell her that he drowned, devastating her. They spend a few days in a routine of her trying to heal while she watches him drink, play chess, and sleep.
Eventually, she goes looking in his things and finds a knife. She also sees he finally opened her gift, a small snow globe with a lighthouse in it. When Mason comes to check on her ankle, Jesse, thinking he means her harm, threatens him with the knife. Rather than be angry, Mason shows her the correct way to hold it. Jesse asks him why he hasn't called the police and that people will be looking for her. Mason says he can't and that he is aware where now fully an orphan. Her mother died years ago. She never knew her father, and her uncle was her only known family.
Due to her confronting Mason, time has run out, and the storm has gotten worse.
Her uncle's boat is being rocked by the waves, and he is trying to hold position for her to return. Jesse gets in her boat, but is knocked around by the current. Soon enough, both her and her uncle's boats capsize in the water.
Mason looks outside and notices that they are both gone and springs into action. Going to his boat house, he drops his own boat with an engine from a ramp and goes searching for them. Forced to dive in himself, he finds Jesse caught in the ropes of her uncle's boat.
Freeing her, he looks deeper into the water and sees that her uncle has drowned, caught in the cabin of his boat. Unable to do anything more for the man, Mason surfaces with Jesse, and he gets them back to the island. Soon after the hearing, Manafort meets with the Prime Minister, and they discuss how the fallout of the Thea program makes everything awkward for the government.
Cutting off the recording equipment that the office has, the Prime Minister proposes a deal to Manafort. Publicly, he will be fired to show accountability, and his protege, Roberta Naomi Ackie, will take over. In return, Manafort will be allowed to return to the shadows and run his operatives and his Thea program as he sees fit. Manafort agrees, and the Prime Minister congratulates him on his retirement. Several days later, Jesse and her uncle are at Mason's island to make a supply run during a really bad storm. Jesse's uncle tells her to quickly drop the supplies off and return back as the storm is getting worse.
However, when she reaches the shore, she brings the supplies to Mason's door and loudly knocks. When he answers, she hands over the supplies and tries to hand him the gift she left for him.
"Most people say thank you," Jesse says.
Mason tells her never to come up to the door again. As he tries to shut it, Jesse lodges her foot to stop it. She tells Mason she isn't afraid of him.
Mason closes the door. Meanwhile, in London, a A named Manafort, Bill Nighy, is being grilled in front of a government committee over the use of his unethical and possibly illegal surveillance program code named Thea.
The panel notes that Manafort's program has tapped into every single phone and camera in the UK, collecting and storing information, basically making a police state. Manafort tries to defend Thea, noting that its use has prevented dozens of attacks and has led to the identification of numerous terrorists.
