Summer's Wednesday Morning ForecastAdded:
Your local forecast starts now with meteorologist [music] Summer Tomlin.
>> With high pressure in control, we should see a lot of sunshine once again throughout the day today. However, we slightly milder. The dew points are still low, meaning the humidity is low.
So, it won't feel uncomfortable. So, another nice day is shaping up. And then a late week warm-up into the weekend.
Showers and storms as we head towards by Sunday really. So, we're going to continue to track that and watch that for you guys. 54° right now at the Capital City Airport. At Patrick School in Carlisle, 49° there. Notice though across the winds the across the board the winds are calm throughout the day today. Wind should be north about 5 mph or so. Elizabethtown right now is seeing few clouds, not too much in the way of clouds there. Hershey as well similar pattern there. Very quiet morning.
Notice not much of a breeze. You don't really see that flag moving much at all.
Temperatures in the upper 40s in Carlisle, Gettysburg mid-40s right now.
McConnellsburg 47° there. Still in the upper 50s in Harrisburg. 57° They reached down to 55° this morning. Temperatures will continue to climb throughout the day. Again, those winds pretty light in nature only up to about 6 mph or so. So, here are the clouds dropping down from the from the north dropping south. Those are starting to break apart. So, still anticipating a lot of sun throughout the day. Those clouds look to be higher level clouds bringing mostly sunny skies right now. But just look at parts of the northeast right now. Not seeing rain coming up here on the satellite and radar. Very few clouds and that's because of that high pressure that's just in control and dominating. That's going to continue to do so through this evening. 81° sunny skies at 6:00. 8:00 still seeing that sunshine. Temperatures nearing 80 or close to 80 by then as they continue to fall behind that sunset. Here's a look at the precision cast. Not a whole lot to talk about here. Again, not seeing much. Mostly sunny to sunny skies throughout the day today. Tomorrow, a lot more sunshine once again. By Friday, we're still seeing that sun dominating. A few more clouds try to mix in by the evening, but that sunshine looks to win out. In terms of temperatures, they're going to continue to climb today, again reaching just over 80° I think in most spots today. Precision Cast is 83 in Carlisle as well as Harrisburg. This afternoon, I think 81° for the forecast high of the day. And as we continue through this evening, temperatures drop into the mid to upper 50s in some areas. Other spots could see the low 50s as we the typically cooler spots as we move throughout the night tonight with the clear skies and the calm winds overnight. And then tomorrow, I think it's even warmer. Look at this. The Precision Cast now has 88° in Harrisburg, 86 in Lancaster, York 85° tomorrow at 5:00. So, I think we have a good chance of hitting the upper 80s as we move throughout the day tomorrow. And then, 90° by Friday, Saturday matching that 90° mark. And then, we'll see that chance for showers and thunderstorms.
Could see a pop-up thunderstorm Saturday evening. Better rain chances though look to come on Sunday with hit-or-miss showers, potentially even some drizzle Monday morning. I think Monday could be a little cooler, too, before we warm right back up for Tuesday.
>> Okay.
I love seeing the 90s on the weekends, though.
>> Yes.
>> Yeah, exactly. It's going to be a nice weekend I think shaping up. I think there's going to be some times where it'll be a little wet, but not a complete washout.
>> That's good. Thank you so much.
>> Keep >> Let's take a look at the roads this morning. It's nice and clear.
