[00:02:35]That's what >> [music] >> We bought those rollaway nesting boxes a couple of years ago and we haven't had great success with our chickens using them to lay their eggs. So, uh we're going to try again today. Um we have standard nesting boxes, but they all go into one box and there's so many eggs, say 10 or 12 in a in a day that they actually crush the eggs onto the other eggs and makes just a mess. So, we're going to try to force them back to using these rolling metal um nesting boxes.

[00:03:42]And if that can work, it'll be very, very helpful. First, we have to tip over the box that they had been clinging their eggs in and uh make that unavailable. We've tried a low version of this. They're not using it. So, we're going to raise it up and see if having it up off the ground makes a difference.

[00:04:02]I'm really not I'm at a loss. Um, this thing should work perfect. It used to work when we first got the hens we had a couple years ago. They used it just fine. So, I'm not sure how to retrain or train hens to use it when they're used to a standard nesting box, but we're going to give it a try.

[00:04:37]So, it's got this like carpet in here, but I'm thinking if we put straw and hay in there and try it that that might help cuz this is really pokey.

[00:04:53]>> Well, I've done that and it didn't make any difference. make a difference. So, ideally, the eggs roll down into here and then they don't sit on them and poop on them.

[00:10:08]So, we are going to catch up Zeus and Bruce to take them over to our friend, our neighbors Karen and Eric's house.

[00:10:18]And Chuck came up with the idea of Bri and he doing it on horseback.

[00:10:27]>> The goat I'm not worried about. It's the It's the ram is going to be hard. Yeah, >> they're going to be a challenge, but [laughter] we'll see.

[00:10:37]>> If not, they'll go for a ride down in the horse arena.

[00:12:53]So, Honey has been having some issues for a little while. We put shoes on her cuz the trainer thought that that might help her out. We had the frier check her out and he thought she looked fine, but seeing now she is not. So, we'll definitely be calling the vet to see what's going on with her.

[00:13:25]Chuck's going to close some gates. We're [music] going to try and herd them into the cow catching area. They all ran back in here because they do not like to see Twister.

[00:13:35]So, we're going to bring Twister [music] in so they all go down to the cow catching area.

[00:13:40]The main reason that we decided to move Bruce and Zeus over to our neighbor's place [music] is to avoid inbreeding in our flock and herd. Good genetics are important and [music] keeping the males separate gives us more control over the breeding decisions while also helping to ensure healthy, strong lambs and kids in the future. Here they come.

[00:21:10]So, we're adding another line here because they're getting pretty smart when we start coming to move that one wire. They kind of crowd us. So, we're adding an extra wire here to get it nice and hot. And then we'll let that one down. And then they can just come on [music] in.
