US military PREPARES multiple options as Iran tensions RISE

[00:00:01]As [music] President Trump preps for his Beijing summit, he is weighing in weighing his next options against Iran after saying the ceasefire was on massive life support. Chief foreign correspondent Trey Yingst has the very latest on that for us. Hi, Trey.

[00:00:16]Sandra, good afternoon. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth was on Capitol Hill today and he told lawmakers the United States has a plan if escalation with Iran is necessary.

[00:00:27]I would say we have a plan for all of that. We have a plan to escalate if necessary. We have a plan to retrograde if necessary. We have a plan to shift assets. Certainly in this setting we wouldn't reveal what the next step may be considering the gravity of of the mission that the president is undertaking to ensure that Iran never has a nuclear bomb.

[00:00:48]Today the Middle East is bracing for the possibility that the region returns to war in the days ahead. The speaker of Iran's parliament, Mohammad Qalibaf, posted to X saying our armed forces are ready to deliver a well-deserved response to any aggression. Mistaken strategy and mistaken decisions will always lead to mistaken results. The whole world has already figured this out. We are prepared for all options.

[00:01:09]They will be surprised. The threatening language comes after President Trump rejected the Iranian response to the US peace proposal calling it a piece of garbage. As he indicated the ceasefire is on life support.

[00:01:21]We had to make an excursion to the beautiful country of Iran.

[00:01:26]We didn't want to let them have a nuclear weapon.

[00:01:29]And we made the right decision and we've got it pretty good and those prices are going to come crashing down as soon as that's over and we'll get we're taking care of. We got to take care of business.

[00:01:40]>> [snorts] >> President Trump also indicated Iran made commitments about the buried uranium and then didn't include those commitments in their response. And here in Israel more cargo planes and refuelers continue to arrive in Tel Aviv in anticipation that combat operations resume.

[00:01:55]Israel is working in full coordination with the United States to ensure Iran no longer poses a nuclear, missile, and terroristic threat to our nations. We are prepared and ready for any scenario.

[00:02:09]Siren's have sounded across northern Israel throughout the day as Iran's largest proxy Hezbollah continues drone attacks into the northern part of this country. Sandra?
