This video discusses the 2018 Georgia gubernatorial campaign finance controversy involving Stacey Abrams and the New Georgia Project, which admitted to 16 violations and paid a $300,000 fine—the largest in Georgia history—while Abrams faced subpoenas before a Senate special committee. The discussion explores the debate over voter ID requirements, with critics arguing they create barriers for minority voters and comparing U.S. voting practices to other democracies that use single-day voting with mandatory participation, while supporters defend voter ID as necessary for election integrity.

Stacey Abrams faces subpoena over campaign finance violations | The Right SquadAdded:
I wholeheartedly acknowledge and respect ideological diversity. Yes, we have parties. I of course want my point of view to win, but the thing is I've never done it at the expense of cheating at the game.
>> That was two-time failed Democrat Georgia candidate for governor, Stacy Abrams, proclaiming her innocence following accusations of violating campaign finance laws during the 2018 election cycle. Abrams along with two leaders from a voter outreach group Abrams founded have been served subpoenas to appear before the Georgia Senate special committee this Friday as part of an investigation. The group New Project Georgia, which dissolved last year following financial and legal problems, has already admitted to 16 violations earlier this year and agreed to pay a $300,000 fine, the largest campaign finance penalty in Georgia history. When not denying fraud allegations, fighting subpoenas, or accusing Republicans of racism, Abrams says her main focus these days is quote, "fighting authoritarianism under President Trump." Why am I not surprised, Jason?
>> Yeah. Well, because maybe if we didn't have some authoritarian aspects under President Trump, there wouldn't be people like Stab Stacy Abrams needing to fight it. I think um with this again this really looks like a pattern. It looks like you know Republicans have been going after Democrats whether at the national level or the state level.
We've seen it's >> well they admitted to the fine I mean they admitted to the violation.
>> Yeah. Yeah. I I think poor management is different than fraud. Uh and so again did they probably have some financial poor management? You know >> yes clearly they have. But does that rise to the level of fraud? Uh I don't we'll have to see. And and it's >> we'll just get fraud team on authoritarianism of Trump. Please tell me how.
>> This is the real civil rights I can tell you.
>> This is the real civil rights emergency we have in the country which every other democracy around the world understands because when we travel around the world they always say why the hell do you vote for 45 days? Why do you have all these crazy ways in which you can vote? Almost every other democracy even has a holiday for voting which I don't love but I like a lot better than 45 days of voting. And they vote in one day. Some countries it's mandatory that you vote. You have to pay a fine to not vote. But yet we have this insanity and they all have voter ID. All of them. And it's a lot of paper ballots. Stacy Abrams has been the tip of the spear to get rid of photo ID voting to get rid of having voting roles that are checked. That is the big fraud here. This is the big civil rights crisis. The whole world sees it and it's disgraceful.
>> We're at Jim Jim Crow 7.0 as we went with her. She was the start of the 2.0.
And I remember this because I lived in Georgia. I'm from Georgia and she got the all-star game, moved out of Atlanta.
They lost a ton of local economy and money that could have been made during the time all for her uh fight for the uh voter ID that she claimed was racist, which you point out that most countries uh typically have. But this was all, you know, her plan all along. That's what I remember.
>> Provide free IDs a and have whatever election whatever why I'm trying to agree with IDs. I don't care anymore. Okay.
It's an insult for minorities that they can't they seem that they can't get an ID. That's crazy. You need an ID to get on a plane. You need an ID to get a vaccine. You need an ID to go to like the social security. Come on. Give me for you guys. It's all about your solution is all about free >> information.
Truth is freedom >> is Newsmax. It's real news for real people.
