The March to March Movement in South Africa has been criticized for exhibiting xenophobic attitudes that mirror apartheid-era suppression of dissent, where individuals who disagree with the movement face hostility rather than open debate. The speaker argues that true democracy requires the ability to disagree without punishment, and that the movement's blanket targeting of all foreigners, including legal residents and children, represents a dangerous dehumanization that contradicts South Africa's international human rights commitments and its own history of fighting against oppression.

South Africans Warned: Is the March to March Movement Reviving Apartheid? π³πΏπ¦Added:
Why is it that the match and match gang the Engiso Mchunu and Pakalolo Mchunu gang why are they so hostile against some of us who don't agree with them?
When when did we get to a country where we can't debate and disagree?
I think it used to happen during apartheid time where black people were punished for not agreeing.
>> Hello everyone. How are you guys doing?
So, let's talk about the black South Africans. Do you know that as a black South African, if you don't agree with the match to match movement, if you are a lady, once they will start saying, "Oh, Mufi Filoe, Filoe, Yolofina, man of my man Nigeria." The ones will start saying "She is dating a Nigerian. She is supporting foreigners because she's dating a Nigerian." But, if it is a man they won't really like be hostile towards them, but which is very very wrong. They say, "Gradually, South Africans wants to they are moving South Africa towards the apartheid regime."
You know during the apartheid regime, black South Africans were not allowed to have an opinion about anything that is happening in their country. They were not allowed. Their opinion did not matter. And right now, this match to match movement if you don't support it they they they won't they won't they won't do anything else to you. But, once you support it, oh, you are one of them.
But, not all South Africans support this thing. That is why I am not in the opinion that all South Africans are xenophobic. Not all.
Some of them are dealing with heartbreak. You see all these ones that are on the street, they are dealing with heartbreak, bad governance.
They have a lot of things. Some of them are dealing with the past with with trauma. But, in as much as you guys are dealing with whatever you guys are dealing with, please don't carry this transfer aggression on innocent people.
Don't carry this on innocent people.
This so-called Jacinta and and Ngwenya the Ngwenya guy I don't know how to pronounce his name.
These so-called guys, all of them are dealing with the same issue, heartbreak.
Santelmo, heartbreak. They had an encounter with foreign nationals that did not end up well. They wake up with this anger in them. They started treating foreigners as if foreigners don't have the right to live in another person's country, which is very, very wrong. Mhm? What you guys are doing, don't expect other Africans to copy what you're doing. No, no, no.
When we want to copy something, we copy something good. We copy something that will take us higher. We don't copy things like that. Nigerians will never copy things that Africans are doing.
The Nigerians have government. Their government will do the right thing.
South Africans, since as you guys have decided to take laws into your hands, we wish you best.
We wish you best. The time will come when you guys will want Africans to help you people. Africans will never show up for you people.
Insult me as you like. Mhm? I see you people going to people's channel and insulting me. Then, insult me as you like. But, I want you guys to change as South Africans.
If you want to chase people in your country, let your government do it.
Protest. Do not take laws into your hands. Allow your government to handle these things the way they can handle.
Feel him.
Feel Craig on Skip Town Independence.
I've not seen you guys protesting. It's been 5 days now. We've not seen you guys coming out to protest. The only thing you people say, "We've wrote a petition against him for him to be deported.
We've wrote a petition against him."
Huh? Was it petition you people wrote when you guys were protesting against Nigerians? Why didn't you do the same thing? Oh, when it has to do with the white man, you carry a different strategy. But, when it has to do with black person, you guys are hostile towards them. Why didn't you write the petition for Nigerians to be deported?
It's like that you people were hostile, burning down the taxis. But, when it has to do with a white man, because you know white people are powerful in your country, you want to write a petition for him to be deported. Has he been deported? I want to know. I want to find out. Why are you guys not protesting?
Why are you guys not protesting? We want to know.
>> where black people were imprisoned and targeted and persecuted and assaulted for just having a different view and for saying no.
Where debates were silenced by force, the PAC was banned.
Um the ANC was banned.
Um we know the history. That used to happen at that time. Why Why is it happening now?
If your cause is so justified, if it's so morally defensible, if it is so right to do, then why are you so hostile and aggressive against us when we don't agree? Why don't you meet argument with argument? Why don't you meet fact with fact?
Why should it be dangerous for a South African to disagree with another South African? What type of a country and what type of a democracy is that?
I don't stand against the cruelty and the dehumanization that I'm seeing here, where we have this blanket approach, illegal foreigners must go, and I say yes, they must.
But then you go out, you find a foreigner that is legal in the country, has documentation, and you assault them, and you humiliate them.
It was the apartheid government that used to humiliate our fathers. You know how that felt, your father being humiliated in public, how that destroyed his own confidence in himself, how that destroyed our families. You know that, you've been through that.
But how is it that you are celebrating with a human being being humiliated when he's done nothing wrong? He's shown you documents that he is legal in the country.
I don't get this. I don't stand for it.
I mean, you tell me how foolish we must be to not know our own laws that we are trying to protect.
A refugee in South Africa does not need the 5 million rands investment in order to operate a business.
There's nothing like that.
There are some type of asylum seekers that are protected for by the law to be able to do small businesses in South Africa to survive, but you don't care.
You are just kicking out everything that is black-skinned and foreigner.
I'm not saying legal people should be in the country. I'm with you, but I'm not with your cruelty. I'm not with your foolishness. I am not with your dehumanization.
We cannot be turning into monsters that we fought against.
And now we are there again. We can't do that.
I mean, I need you to just explain this to me. Make this make sense to me.
You've got children that were born in this country and they don't know any other home.
These are innocent children. Why are you harming them?
I mean, I've seen I don't know how many times videos of children going to school and being dehumanized and threatened by adults. I'm talking about children.
You've got innocent innocent children that they also came from other countries. They didn't choose to be here and they are here and they've got protection of the law. I don't know if you don't know this. We as South Africa, nobody imposed this on us. We as South Africa went to sign different conventions of the United Nations and human rights to take in refugees, to take in asylum seekers. We get billions of rands in aid because of that. We chose this.
It's not a problem for us to change that. It's not a problem for us to say, "Let's change the law. Let us remove our signatures from these things. Let's do this thing right, right?" America has a problem of illegal immigrants. They built their wall, right? Uh Donald Trump spoke that Somalis must go and all of that, but who's doing all of that? The government.
We can force our government to do this.
I don't know are we not aware that our own people, black South Africans working at the borders taking bribes for hundreds of thousands of illegal foreigners to pass through?
Is it not our own Home Affairs employees who are selling documents to foreigners?
Is it not our own people? Is it not our own law enforcement?
I I I don't get it. Where AfriForum, a white Africans association, at their own cost, the part of the border they are protecting is the most secure. The part that is being protected by our government, our government, that is where millions of illegal foreigners are passing through.
Where is the problem?
Why are we not going to burn Home Affairs? Why are we not going to burn the borders? Why are we not holding our own army to account? Why are we not holding our own um law enforcement to account? Why are we victimizing legal foreigners?
I don't I don't I don't I don't get it.
I can't stand for it.
On the 30th of June, when you all go out to march, I will be on the other side protecting innocent children.
I'll be on the other side protecting legal foreigners who deserve to be here.
To get to them, you'll have to go through me. I'm very easy to find. You won't struggle to find me. You know my face. Many people know my face.
But I'm not going to stand for this.
I want us to have a safe country. I want us to solve the problem that we have of this illegal immigration that is a crisis in our country. I want to protect the township economy. I want us to protect our informal sector and legally gatekeep it.
That is important to do as a country.
But I'm not going to follow your illegality and your cruelty and your thirst for blood, where you are hiding your cruelty under a pursuit for justice. I'm not part of that and I'm not going to be part of that.
