Columbus, OH Weather | Passing showers possible SundayAdded:
A lot of things going on tomorrow night.
I will say it's looking good here as we go through the day. At one point we were tracking a system coming in that was going to bring us some rain, but that system kind of fizzling out. We have some showers out there tonight. So, things are likely looking good. Yeah, so things are all actually all looking good here tomorrow. So, nothing to worry about for tomorrow. If you have any plans, here's the forecast. We'll have some clouds in the morning.
Maybe a sprinkle at best. That's all we got going on here for tomorrow.
Temperatures will start off in the 50s.
We get to the 60s by the afternoon. So, honestly, not a bad day. I mean, this time of year we could be talking about mid to upper 80s, close to 90°. So, rather have the mid 60s, especially for anyone that's going to be outside tomorrow. It's going to feel nice and pleasant here as we go through the day, especially once we get that sunshine later on in the afternoon. And our high temperature forecast here for the next few days will be in the mid to upper 60s here for tomorrow, Monday, and Tuesday.
And then eventually, we're going to see this switch from these cooler than normal temperatures. While they may have been nice with the 50s and 60s here recently, we're going to see a pattern switch that's going to lead to more 70s and 80s back in our forecast. So, looking ahead to next weekend into the following week, that third week of May.
This is the outlook for May 16th through the 22nd. And overall, much of the United States is going to be featuring above normal temperatures. So, we're talking about highs here in Ohio likely in the 70s, if not some 80s in our forecast. And what's been going on recently, we've talked about this before. We've had this upper level low situated off to our north, bringing a dip in the jet stream, and bringing in these cooler temperatures, cooler than normal with highs in the 50s and 60s. But that's going to start to move off to the north and east. And here we are by the end of the week, watching this ridge building in, allowing for those warmer temperatures. As we'll likely get highs back up into the 70s and 80s here by next weekend. For now though, as we look at the radar picture, we are tracking some showers and a couple of thunderstorms moving through. This activity right around Marion. This is also moving off to the east and we've had some rain showers around Coshocton.
That's all moving off towards our east as well. And then watching this line of showers and storms to the west in Indiana. These are going to be tracking towards the east and could impact the Columbus area as we get towards about 1:00 in the morning. Watching that area here. Those really start to fall apart as we go through tonight and then by tomorrow morning, just a couple sprinkles and then we're right back to the sunshine here by the afternoon. So here's a look at your 7-day forecast showing more sunshine here by Monday.
Calling for a highs into the 60s here, 64°. But notice our overnight lows, we do cool down just a little bit here, getting down to about 40° by Tuesday morning. Thankfully, we're not going to get into the 30s. We don't have to worry about a frost or freeze, but we do see those temperatures rebounding back to the mid to upper 60s here by Wednesday.
Our next best chance for showers and storms Tuesday night into Wednesday. And then we'll see some more sunshine. And there's those warmer temperatures back to the 70s here on Friday. And then Briana, we're talking about 80s next weekend.
